This is a fun, entertaining read and has a bit of everything in it. There’s the second chance romance, the nerd and the jock, small town, single dad, and the bad childhood all rolled up into a wonderfully written story. Loved this book.

Another beautiful story by Kelly Collins. Second chance type of romance with all the drama and angst needed to meet you turning the pages.
I love this wonderful, heartwarming story of Jace and Aidy. I laughed and cried along with Aidy, a fantastic protagonist. This romance hit so many of my spots that I was content but sad when I finished the story. Can’t wait to read more of this author’s books!

Always The One is a sweet, single dad romance set in a small town. Aidy and Jace have known each other since high school. He was the high school jock who needed a tutor and Aidy was smart and his tutor. Years later she’s a physical therapist and grown into a beautiful woman and he’s a professional football player. This small town love story is full of ups and downs, believable characters, drama, humor and an HEA.
I was engaged in this story from page one with the great character and storyline development that kept me totally engrossed in this story that I read this book in one sitting!

I was happy to see this was Aidy’s story! I loved her in the first book, and love her even more after this one. This felt like a quick read, there was never really a lull in story. I liked that Jace and Aidy had a past, I think that’s what made them so easy together. I still want Rick’s story though!

My Review:
This was a sweet and fun small-town second chance romance with a lively bit of sizzle and snap. I always enjoy Kelly Collin’s uniquely appealing characters and amusing and witty observations and insights. Aidy fantasized taking a run at her oblivious high school crush ten years later – but was startled out of her secret stalking efforts when he returned to his hometown of Beloved to visit his aunt and carried in a small child from his car ~ needle scratch. Aidy was a quirky karaoke queen/physical therapist/town gossip. Jace had been her first crush and the man she seemed to measure men against.
Jace was stunned to notice that Aidy was no longer the nerdy nondescript classmate who used to tutor him after school. Not only was she gorgeous, but she was also kind and patient with his family, and kind of perfect, so perfect he developed a yellow tinge and made me want to smack him with my kindle – repeatedly. Luckily for Jace, Aidy was more forgiving and less vindictive than I am. 😉
Single dad reads are one of my favorite and Always the One didn’t disappoint. Aidy tutored Jace in high school and had a secret crush on him. Jace leaves to play football and Aidy stays in Beloved. When Jace returns to his Aunt Sharon’s to help Maddie recuperate from her broken leg, he reconnects with Aidy. Aidy realizes she still loves him. Will he leave and return to his football career or will he stay and add to his family? Grab your copy and see what happens in this beautiful story.
Always the One is a single dad, second chance romance. Jace is a professional football player with an adorable 5 year old daughter Maddie. Aidy is a physical therapist in the lovely town of Beloved. Jace comes back home to Beloved and comes in need of Aidy’s help. This was such a great story. Jace’s devotion towards his daughter is swoon worthy. Aidy can become overwhelming and immature at times. Overall Always the One was a sweet romance with an HEA!
It’s so crazy that we can be geeky or unattractive or shy when we are in high school, and then be the opposite or so much more when we mature. Aidy has loved Jace since she tutored him in high school where he didn’t think of her in a romantic way. Aidy is grown, a physical therapist, smart, and beautiful. Since Aidy is Jace’s Aunt Sharon’s PT, Aidy keeps up with Jace who is a pro football player in New Jersey.
It is funny how we sometimes revert back to our teenage ways at times. I felt bad that Aidy was afraid to see Jace again. Jace has a daughter, Maddie, that needs physical therapy and his aunts talks him into coming back to her home in Colorado. I loved Maddie and her personality—so does Aidy. They all have some fun times together that made me smile and my heart happy. Jace can’t believe Aidy is the same person who used to tutor him when he sees her again. Their dating dance has ups and downs. It is a sweet book that I encourage you to read. I was given a copy of the book, and voluntarily wrote a review.
It took years of loneliness; a couple failed relationships; becoming the bridesmaid but not the bride; and, only having her cat for a companion, BUT, it was all worth it in the end when Jace came to Beloved. She was his tutor in high school and she longed for more. His eyes were always on the prize of pro-football. This tender love story had taken time to mature but she knew it would all be worth the wait. Aidy had best friends, sang karaoke at least one night a week and worked long hours as a Physical Therapist. When he walked in, her stomach flipped and her spine tingled. I loved this story and I especially loved Maddie who had a heart of gold. I highly recommend this book and I love this author. Thanks to her for an early ARC copy.
A beautiful story of a young woman, Aidy Smith, who has had a crush on Jace Johnson since high school. When Jace left Beloved, Colorado, to join the New Jersey Knights football team, she knew that she would probably never see him again. A recent car accident has left Jace slightly injured and his five-year old daughter with a fractured leg. He has decided to return home to stay with his Aunt Sharon while his daughter, Maddie, heals. He is worried that his injury might keep him from rejoining the team…what will he do? When he sees Aidy he can hardly believe she is the shy young teen who helped him with his studies. She is a beautiful, caring young woman and a physical therapist who has been working with his aunt. When the attraction between them ignites., will he be able to return to the team while his heart remains in Beloved? I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)
Aidy used to tutor Jace in high school and she had a secret crush on him. But she was a nerd with glasses and baggy clothes and he was the popular jock. She’s much more put together looking and confident now, but she still runs when she sees him with his daughter at his aunt’s, her physical therapy client. Jace is attracted to the new Aidy, but he also runs when they become more than friends. I loved Jace’s daughter Maddie who was brave and precocious recovering from her broken leg in the car accident. I thought it was cool that Aidy sang karaoke and was in such demand over it, but because it takes a lot of guts to put yourself out there like that performing in front of others, she should have had more confidence with Jace. And Jace shouldn’t have used her when she was drunk and ran away. He knew she wasn’t a one night stand kind of girl.
Aidy was such a fantastic supporting character in Lara’s book, I’m so glad she gets her own story. I’ve been dying to get my hands on this one, I loved the first book so much. Jace and Aidy had some chemistry in high school, but neither the jock nor his tutor thought they fit into each other’s worlds at the time. Both of them are older and wiser now and looking for something different than they were then. This book isn’t so much a second chance at the one that got away, as it is a second chance to get the one you didn’t try for in the first place. I got so much enjoyment out of watching them dance around all the things they’ve left unsaid even though it broke my heart every time things went sideways on them. I’m nowhere near ready to say “goodbye” to Beloved just yet.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
She was the one person he could count on as being his friend in highschool even though he was totally clueless about her feelings for him. Aidy fell in love with Jace as a teenager, and nothing changed for her, even though he seems completely out of her league. However, when Jace returns home with his injured daughter, the girl that had been his salvation as his tutor at school now becomes the one person who can help him with Maddie. Although there is some sizzling action in this book it is tasteful and forms part of the plot. The book is generally well written with wit and humour and comes to a happy conclusion. It is also part of a series and characters from a previous book appear in this one too, nevertheless, it is a standalone. Although a lighthearted romance, there is a deeper side to this book that draws one in. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Always the One is a second chance story. Jace was a popular local high school football player. He had one plan, play professional football and he achieved it. He kept in touch with his aunt Sharon back in Beloved but that was as far as he kept in touch with the town. Aidy was Jace’s tutor in high school. She was a quiet, shy girl that carried a big torch for him even though he never noticed her beyond their study friendship. It is now 12 years later. Jace has been in a bad car accident with his young daughter Maddie and has decided to come back to Beloved to recuperate without the team or the press watching his every move. Aidy has a great life in Beloved, good friends, great job and a town that she loves. What is missing from Aidy’s life is someone to share it with. Aidy and Jace reconnect because she is his aunt’s physical therapist and Jace and his daughter also need some help. Always the One is a cute story even though it is a bit of Insta Love. The characters are fun and you will get to reconnect with friends from Still the One. It is told from dual POV and is a sweet, low angst, small town, second chance love story.
