College parties, beer, and one-night stands—that was my life. Now, I hunt criminals. Drinking and women are still included, though I can’t seem to forget the underage girl who almost gave me her virginity. I stopped it before it happened and kicked her out. Years later, we’re reunited. She’s no longer underage but still equally off-limits. After ignoring her relentless advances, she wears me … relentless advances, she wears me down. I only have so much willpower when she’s around, which is all the damn time now that we’re roommates. Just when my restraint starts to crumble, my poor choices finally catch up with me, putting us both in danger.
There’s no easy way to explain why I betrayed her, but I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe—even if it means breaking her heart.
ALWAYS MINE is book 1 in the Liam & Maddie duet and must be read first.

Ugh, Kennedy Fox is killing me with these cliffhangers!! I’ve waited through all 4 of the Roommates books for Liam and Maddie! Even though I knew this book would end in a cliffy, as my Kindle kept updating my progress bar, I started to sweat! Sweat, people, it was not cool, especially with where KF leaves us hanging on this one. My heart can’t take this anxiety. Lol
Liam and Maggie felt like my old friends going into Always Mine but we learned so much more about their beginnings! I loved (and hated) their rich backstory and it provided great context for the love/hate, on/off “I want to tear your clothes off/nah, you’re a little pain in the ass” dynamic between these two. Liam has always been intriguing to me and I couldn’t wait to learn what he was doing during those spur-of-the-moment, mysterious trips away, but it was so much more than I imagined!
Maddie’s antics are hilarious. Sure she’s the kid sister and boy does she work that angle but she’s also an intelligent woman and an incredibly accomplished dancer. You don’t become an elite dancer without knowing how to put in the hours for something you care about and she’s determined to get her man.
The chemistry between these two was smoking and although I seriously wanted to junk punch Liam a few times, they are surely one of my favorite match ups. Can’t wait for the exciting conclusion to their story!
AnnMarie – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
Sweet baby Jesus I wasn’t expecting that. I say this with every couple in the Roommate Series, and Liam and Maddie are no exception…I LOVE them! I’ve been so excited for their story. There’s been crazy chemistry between them ever since they were first introduced, and I knew Liam wouldn’t be able to resist Maddie forever. So I’ve been here slowly dying and waiting for Liam and Maddie, and y’all, it was worth the wait!
Always Mine is the first book in Liam and Maddie’s duet and even just reading the first half of their story, I’m totally in love with them.
Maddie is Lennon and Sophie’s younger sister. She’s five years younger than Liam, but that doesn’t stop her from going after what she wants. I love Maddie, probably because I relate to her the most. She’s feisty, witty, determined and has a heart of gold. And Liam…bless his heart, he’s been trying to dodge Maddie’s advances since she first showed up. He’s funny, protective, loyal and hot AF. There’s no denying he and Maddie are perfect for each other. But perfect or not Liam must resist.
In true Kennedy Fox fashion, they had me hooked from the prologue to the very last page. There is so much more to Liam and Maddie than meets the eye. Liam has always been a bit of a mystery and in this book we get to see what he’s up to when he’s out of town doing his Bounty Hunter thing. And when he gets in over his head…man just get ready! This book blew me away from start to finish and I CAN NOT wait for the conclusion to Liam and Maddie’s story.
OMFG!!! Finally Maddie and Liam’s story!!!!
I have been on pins and needles waiting for this story and can I just say it did not disappoint! The drama of it all, the CHEMISTRY, the push and pull were everything I was hoping for and so much more!
While it’s not necessary to read the other books in the Roommate series, it is beneficial as it gives you a broader and better context of each story line.
That ending…gah Kennedy Fox knows how to make me salivate for more!!!!!
”Maddie’s always been my best-kept secret, and it looks like she may forever stay that way.”
Kennedy Fox has done it again! 2020 can’t be to a more of a perfect start without one of the most anticipated reads EVER! Always Mine was the perfect amount of slow burn and angst imaginable!
Gearing up for Always Mine featuring Fox’s most anticipated couple, Liam and Maddie, was more than the whirlwind I was expecting! Every page turned was a phenomenon waiting to be unleashed.
It’s the book where you feel like you know what to expect next and then become completely blindsided. Liam and Maddie’s live is one of champions. This book takes you back to what romance should really be like. Couple with Fox’s signature prose that can’t be stopped and you have one of the best books of 2020 before the new year has even begun!
Grab this book for a remarkable slow burn, unstoppable friends to lovers and remember why you picked up romance from the start.
So here we are, at the last “Duet” of this series. If you’ve been reading the other duets in the series, you had to have known that Maddie and Liam’s story was the next one to come. We are introduced to these characters in the previous duets: Liam was part of the friend group of Hunter and Brandon, who kicked off the first duet, and Maddie, is the youngest Corrigan sister. From what we knew of Maddie from before, she was the youngest sister, but kind of the wild child of sorts. She would always say things that had me going “omg” in the previous books, and you could tell she was really attracted to Liam, but he made it clear as day that they were not for each other, and perhaps that was because of her age, or the fact that she was the younger sister of his friend’s girlfriends, and he didn’t want to mess that up.
What I enjoyed learning in this book was that Maddie and Liam met way before they were introduced by their friend group. We learn that they met at a party, and Maddie almost gave her virginity to him, until he learned that she was much younger than she said she was. Years later, they meet again, but they pretend to sweep it all under the rug. Well, for the most part, since Maddie still flirts with Liam incessantly. You got small snippets of them in the other books, but I felt like I really got to know the characters more in this book. Liam has a lot more going underneath the surface, and although his job is a bounty hunter, you learn a bit about why he is reluctant to start up relationships and some of the choices he makes. I do like that despite trying to deny Maddie, and saying certain things to put up a front, he’s actually quite sweet on her. And what I liked too was how we got more of Maddie and just how she is. She seems like the wild child next to Lennon and Sophie, but she’s an incredibly loving sister and she always puts others first, and cares so much.We also just learn more about her and you see a lot of growth from the small snippets we saw before.
I can’t say too much without spoiling the plot, but the last book that wrapped up Mason and Sophie’s story did tease at what was to come here, and boy, I thought that small snippet was angsty. Buckle up because this one is FULL of angst, and there are moments that definitely shocked me. It kind of brought me back to the Checkmate Series again with the hint of drama that definitely had me turning the pages to see what happens next. I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds in the next one and just see more of Liam and Maddie together. I will say too, KF delivers once again on the sexy and swoony moments because their chemistry is intense! If you are a fan of KF books, this is another wonderful installment. If you haven’t read KF yet, what are you waiting for?!? You can start off with the Roomate series with Lennon and Hunter’s story. KF delivers charming characters, intense chemistry, great family and friendship dynamics, a looooot of angst, but also a whole lot of sweet and sexy moments as well. You won’t be disappointed!
Wow, hot damn! I think this might be Kennedy Fox’s best yet! How Maddie and Liam meet in the prologue is HOT and I definitely did not see it coming! We have watched them throughout the other duets with their bickering back and forth and Maddie’s relentless pursuit of Liam. They have crazy hot chemistry but Liam fights it and ends up making some bad choices. Their relationship has been four years in the making but I am not sure even they can overcome the obstacles they are facing. Will their love be enough? I cannot wait for the conclusion!
I’ve been waiting for Maddie and Liam. It didn’t disappoint and worth the wait! I will be honest I wanted the throttle Liam a few times while reading this one. Some of his bone head decisions. This is the first book in the duet and boy does it take you on a roller coaster ride. I also loved catching up with Maddie’s sisters and to see them enjoying their HEAs. It made my heart very happy. Now this book does end on one heck of a cliff hanger that has me eagerly waiting the next part in Maddie and Liam’s story. It’s going to be a crazy ride.
I’ve been eagerly anticipating Liam and Maddie’s story ever since we met them in Baby Mine (and especially since the epilogue of Truly Yours)……and their story did not disappoint!! This was one of the most deliciously angsty stories I’ve read, filled with so many twists and turns, and I couldn’t get through the pages fast enough. It was a fantastic slow burn, with sizzling chemistry between Liam and Maddie – and I just want more!!! Of course I have to wait, because this is a duet after all. And after the way they ended the story…….ahh!! This incredible writing duo just continues to surprise me with the cliffies they come up with!!!
I know January just started – and what a story to kick off 2020 with – but I can’t wait for February to get here so we can get what I’m sure will be an epic conclusion to this duet and series!
(while Liam & Maddie’s duet can be read on it’s own……I highly recommend reading the others in the series first!)
5 Hulk Filled Stars!!!
Yass!!! Kennedy Fox I bow down to y’all. Legit I’m on my knees. These two makeup a power author. Every couple, every story is different, heart pounding, nail biting and swoon worthy. When Truly Yours ended I was WTFing my kindle. I said “Liam you have some major explaining to do!!”
Like the two previous couples Maddie and Liam had an interesting first meeting. They weren’t introduced when Lennon met Brandon.
Nope!!! They met one night in Utah when then 17yr old Maddie snuck out to go to a party and met Liam. Their chemistry was kaboom from the initial meeting. When Liam finds out Maddie won’t be 18 for another six months he looses it and rightfully so.
When they meet a year later they agree to pretend that night never happened. Liam knows Lennon and Sophie will kill him. That doesn’t stop Maddie from trying every chance she can get to get underneath him every chance.
Maddie is the youngest daughter to a pastor. Out of the three of them she’s definitely the wilder one. Not afraid to speak her mind. Her sisters definitely try keeping her on the straight road.
Maddie will do anything to veer right and jump into Liam’s truck. Ever since she first met him she’s wanted him. It’s been years and he keeps her at arms length. He might act like he hates her. But, Maddie sees right thru his act. Just when Maddie sees the light at the long dark tunnel, Liam comes home married and Maddie is stunned.
Liam is protective of those he cares about. His friends are his family. Liam doesn’t do relationships. His job is stressful, he travels a lot, the hours are long. He knew the minute he laid eyes on Maddie she was a gift and he’d never ruin her.
Liam is very protective of Maddie. He’ll always be there if she needs anything. Liam wants Maddie to think he hates her bc it’s hard for him to be around her bc she wants to give herself to him and he doesn’t think he’s a good enough man for her.
Liam finds himself caught up in a messy situation with some dangerous people. Liam tries getting himself out of it and he can’t figure out why. When things take a dangerous turn Liam scrambles to protect those closest to him. That means lying and hurting the one he loves to most…Maddie. Liam hopes one day she’ll forgive him.
I could not put this down!!!! Liam and Maddie are so so so hot. I swear their chemistry alone is so sizzling hot I think they got me pregnant lol.
Talk about a tug of war full of emotions. Maddie knew exactly what she wanted. Liam… she’d give everything just to have Liam. And, Maddie is one patient women I’ll tell you. She’d wait for as long as he needed to before he saw what was in front of him.
Any other book I’d probably hate Liam for the way things went. I 100000% get why things were they way they went in the beginning. She was 17 and Liam can’t go from throwing people in jail to wearing the orange jumpsuit lol.
But, he obv cared about her and couldn’t figure out why he didn’t jump in head first. They might as well been dating with how much time they spent together. His feelings for her always showed.
In the end Maddie was the one Liam spilled his guts too. Maddie totally handled it a million times better then most women would. They really are a great match. If they ever get to a point where they’re actually a match.
Holy mother of all the things …. *blink*
Okay, so listen, this isn’t out first time down the Kennedy Fox Duet Avenue. They’ve been having us drive up and down this street for a while. We should know every twist, turn, deviation and roadblock up ahead that is coming our way.
YOU DO NOT!!
I am all up in my damn feelings over this story and I am #twitchy I have to wait over a month for more. Ya’ll …. This is why we can’t have nice things! I don’t know what to do with myself because it’s not like I can share my feelings! Life is happening in these pages. Real life. This may be a fiction romance, but real-life choices are being made to real life circumstances and I am ALL UP IN MY FEELINGS about it.
Damn … these ladies are good.
FINALLY GETTING MADDIE & LIAM’S STORY AND HOW EPIC IT IS!! After getting teasers throughout the past books I was so excited to finally get the start of their story. And of course in true Kennedy Fox fashion we got quite possibly one of the best cliffhangers I’ve ever read. After getting a flashback where we find out that Maddie and Liam have a connection that happened way before she moved to California, when these two get a second chance of sorts being involved in each others lives. Through a series of unfortunate events for Maddie, she ends up moving in with Liam and her sister, and it’s there that this couple finally gives into the chemistry and feelings they’ve had for so long. The twist in this storyline is actually Liam, and through his connections lands himself in hot water that eventually follows him home. And through that trouble, he ends up putting Maddie’s life in danger after finally getting together. Per usual, the flow of this storyline was fantastic, just like the previous books, and the style of writing from this duo was top notch! There are so many questions I have and this cliffhanger was so epic that I am itching to get my hands on the next book to find out what happens!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Liam and Maddie’s story is finally here. The build-up for the Bounty Hunter (sorry, Fugitive recovery agent) and Dancer has been torture but now that I have a taste, I am left wanting more and February can’t get here fast enough. If you have read the first duets then you know that you will be left with more questions than answers. But that didn’t stop me from reading this book in one day.
This writing duo never disappoints this reader with their writing. I laughed, l screamed, I held my breath and now I want to punch someone.
Maddie and Liam are my most adored couple. I love the humorous banter, the flirting, the drama, and boy, was there drama! The romance is lively and jaw dropping good. You see character growth from both Liam & Maddie, you watch how they met, their lives more in depth, as well as enjoy bits of their friends & family whom we have already met. This is a hot & sexy romance you need to start off the new year with!

I received an advance copy to review from Kennedy Fox books. All statements above are completely my own.
I was looking forward to this couple the most out of Roommate Duet series. I’m giving 4 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
I was so excited to see more of the Corrigan sisters, and the rest of the friends group we’ve come to know and love. My favorite male character of this series has been a toss up between Liam and Hunter. This book made me feel conflicted about Liam though. He could be so freaking sweet and thoughtful, but some of the stuff he did left me in awe, and not in a good way. I won’t spoil what happened, but in my opinion he didn’t handle the situation like someone in his predicament would. For someone who’s a fugitive recovery agent, I thought he’d be more street smart, and on his game. But then again, when you’re in lust/love, you’re kind of blind.
I liked Maddie overall. She was always pretty hilarious, and amped up the series with her antics. However, I don’t have much in common with her. She’s a professional dancer, super fit, etc. I’m the baby of the family, and sarcastic, so those were the couple things I could relate to her on. One of my favorite parts of this book was the constant banter. I loved how these two pushed each other. But sometimes it felt like a toxic situation. They went from hot to cold, and back again, pretty quickly. Although when they were on the hot side of things, they were scorching.
If you plan on reading this duet, get ready for a lot of twists and turns. I wasn’t personally surprised by anything that happened, and was even expecting things to end on a bigger, more dramatic, cliffhanger based on previous books I’ve read by this duo of authors. They love to shock, and surprise, their readers! I can’t wait to get my hands on the second book, and find out what happens next. Things were about to get super interesting…
Kennedy Fox’s duets always have a great blend of angst, steam, suspense, and unpredictable moments, and that holds true in the first book of Liam and Maddie’s duet, Always Mine. And let me tell you, the main characters, the plot line, the conflicts, and everything in between isn’t something you can anticipate…it’s something meant to be experienced fully within the pages of their story.
I have to say…Liam’s true nature was not what I expected it to be, and that’s a really good thing. The times that he was present in other characters’ stories, he seemed like a one-dimensional supporting character – one without much substance, but I’m happy to say that I was wrong and the way that Fox establishes exactly who Liam is allowed me to see just how selfless and determined he is to protect the people he loves most.
Maddie’s tenacity to get what she wants is impressive…anybody would be worn down by her course of actions, but Liam has constructed an immense amount of walls, meaning that it’s going to take more than Maddie’s tenaciousness to get through to him that he was always supposed to be hers.
Kennedy Fox has a unique way of crafting slow burn romances that hit readers in all the feels and it’s those emotions felt that drive readers to push through the frustrations, to adjust to the heartache, to cheer on the heroes and heroines who deserve everything they’ve always wanted, but never found a way to get, until now. But that doesn’t mean things will be straightforward…it doesn’t mean that the steps to a happily ever after is easy; in fact, it usually means that the obstacles are many and the struggles are overwhelming, but when everything is said and done, the realization hits that they’ve always been each other’s…it has just taken them longer to figure that point out and do what needs to be done to get there.
What the future holds for Liam and Maddie is still to be determined, but I’m more than ready to find out in book two! And I’ve already learned to expect the unexpected, but I have a feeling that, that might not truly help me when it comes to the conclusion of their story.
4 Poison Apples
FIVE HULK STARS for Maddie and Liam !!!
I couldn’t imagine a better book to start my “Reading Challenge 2020” than this one.
O.M.G. !!!
This is definitely the book I will remember for a long time and I didn’t regret any minute I spent reading it.
It was a really great book that kept my attention from the first page to the last.
And the end?!?!?!
I need “Always Yours” the right now!!!
“Always Mine” is the fifth book in the “Roommate Duet” series and the first book from “Liam & Madelyn” duet.
I love both the main characters.
Maddie and Liam are so perfect for each other but they need to work a lot for their happily ever after.
I can’t wait to find out how it’ll all work out in the next book.
If you love suspense romance and books by Kennedy Fox, then this is the book you need to read this year!!!
Highly recommended!!!
Liam is a cocky, arrogant player used to getting any woman he wants and partying all the time. He meets Maddie while she is too young and almost ends up taking her virginity. Maddie is a strong, determined woman who has grown up. Liam is now hunting down criminals and has slowed down but never forgotten about Maddie. The two of them have an intense chemistry that won’t be denied. The story does end on a cliffhanger but the next book is just around the corner. I can’t wait to find out what happens with this couple.
Holy crap this book was everything!!! From the beginning of the relationship between Sophie and Mason and the length of time it takes them to get where they are. This book truly took my heart on an emotional roller coaster, where I was crying at work while I tried to read while working, laughing at the tension and banter between the two of them. The story line was incredible and really kept my attention the entire time with a HUGE twist in the middle.
Book 2 where are you?????
Always Mine has finally arrived with the always Sassy Maddie and our hot bounty hunter Liam. These two have been dropping all kinds of hints since the first duet and wow they’re hotter than I ever expected!!!
Maddie has always had a huge crush on Liam. She’s sweet and well there’s no other way to describe her except a loud mouth. She says what’s on her mind and has no shame about it, and I love her all the more for it.
Liam has an intense connection with Maddie and because of his history and job he denies himself. Maddie doesn’t make it any easier on him with her constant sex filled remarks and comments. Together their banter is hilarious and I love how much Maddie keeps Liam on his toes.
But Liam gets himself into a situation no one was expecting, not even us readers. Always Mine keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole book. It was such an adrenaline rush reading it, I held my breath the whole freaking time. Kennedy Fox always knows how to throw in the unexpected leaving you breathless afterwards and thinking what the *%#*?!
I’m desperately waiting for Always Yours in February.
I’m almost mad at myself for devouring this one so fast since now I have to wait to see how it continues. I know this is saying something cuz I just love this dynamic duo but I’m pretty sure Always Mine is definitely going down as my #1 KF book Everrrrrrrrr
5/5 stars

5 Stars
Always Mine by Kennedy Fox is the first book in the Liam & Madelyn Duet and man oh man it was fantastic! There is something so special about this writing duo that gets me every time. Their books always feel realistic and the characters and their actions are always believable.
I seriously couldn’t wait for Liam and Maddie’s book. The tension between the two in the previous books was crazy good, so I knew their story would be awesome. With that being said-I DID NOT expect the EPICNESS that Always Mine was. I laughed and I cried while reading. Sometimes it was at the same time. I honestly couldn’t put it down. Liam is everything you want in a hero. While he was afraid to love, you could feel and see the reasons why. And Maddie…gosh she was a riot. The comebacks and the sassiness was hilarious.
The ending almost did me in. I CANNOT wait for their conclusion! February can’t come soon enough.
