Kylie’s best friend Braxton is the hottest man she’s ever known, with a rock hard body and a smile that melts the panties off every woman he meets. Except Kylie. Mostly.Kylie is anxious to get off the dating carousel and find something real. Despite the way Braxton tends to suck the air from her lungs, she knows he’s trouble. He’s just another player, and she’s tired of the game. But Braxton isn’t … game.
But Braxton isn’t the man she thinks.
The real reason he’s sh*t with women is simple. None of the women he’s with are the one he wants. None of them are Kylie.
He wants to love her in every way imaginable, but there’s always something in the way. So he stays her friend, watching her date men who are too stupid to realize how special she is. Always worried the next one won’t be. The next one will be the man who takes her from him forever.
Loving Kylie risks every fiber of their friendship, but losing her might be more than Braxton can take.

Braxton will always be my favorite hero! So much emotion! I could quote so many lines from the book to prove that what I say about Braxton is true. Just know that it’s an awesome friends-to-lovers romance that stays at the top of My Books to Read Over & Over Again List!!
Kylie and Braxton have been best friends since they were kids and Braxton had always had a thing for her but put their friendship over their feelings. They had a long journey of finding their way to each other and the story was good. Stephanie Wyles and James Cavenaugh were both new narrators to me and I enjoyed both of their narrations.
I absolutely loved this friends to lovers/family saga romance! I wish I had read some of Ms. Kingsley’s books sooner because they are very good.
Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes, and this one is well-crafted, with great characters, and a sweet complication between the pair of twins and their best friend. I found the angsty tug between the MC and the FMC to be perfectly crafted.
My only complaint is the steamy scenes weren’t as delicious as I was expecting, given the emotional build up. Still very enjoyable, I just wanted more of everything between these two.
Overall a very enjoyable, well-crafted story. I will be reading the next one!
I love how beautifully real this book is written! The characters are authentic and addicting. The plot is steamy and romantic. This is one of those books where you always wonder what the characters are doing now.
I think I have read everything she has written. I need another book.
I don’t even know why it took me so long to start reading this book. I love all of Claire Kingsley’s books. I will start off by saying if you are turned off by the h/H dating and sleeping with other people before they end up together than this isn’t the book for you. I don’t mind it at all. I think it is part of the story and the character development. Braxton is in love with his best friend Kylie. But he doesn’t think he deserves her and is afraid of the effect it would have on his (and his twin sister’s) friendship with Kylie. He fills his time in short term relationships with women he knows aren’t the one, often using their hatred of Kylie to end the relationship. Kylie has not yet acknowledged her feelings for Braxton so she is often searching for the right might but often coming up with assholes. Even in other relationships, the connection that they have is strong, always wondering if this was going to be the moment something would happen between them. I like that this book took place over the course of a year, it allowed time for things to grow between them. They hid their relationship from his sister Selene, afraid of how she would react. And when Selene tells Braxton that it would “kill her” if something happened between Braxton and Kylie so Braxton breaks Kylie’s heart. Their time apart was a bit longer than I liked, but it all lead to one of the greatest endings, the most adorable win back your girl moment. Getting back together in London on NYE was perfect. I also want to add how special it was that Braxton kept a relationship with Kylie’s dad who had become ill and was living in a care facility. I was ugly crying when it was revealed that he helped her dad get the strength to walk her down the aisle!
An amazing friends-to-lovers romance! Because of their history and the feelings they’ve been suppressing for each other, things move very quickly between Braxton and Kylie. But a lot of grief could have been avoided if there was more honesty between our three main characters.
Braxton has Always loved Kylie. They grew up best friends with Braxton’s sister Selene. Braxton,
has been a player most of his life. But has hidden his feelings for Kylie. She has been looking for
a relationship but has not found the one for her. She realizes some strange feelings for Braxton
but does not act on them. I like the slow burn of friends to lovers the two different pov’s from
each and the way Braxton feels for Kylie. This is a low drama low angst read and of course has
a HEA ending. Enjoy the sweet read.
Better than I expected. Great build up between H & h. A little to quick on the ending though. But sweet and nice HFN epilogue.
Never disappointed with Claire Kingsley. Well edited – only a few missing words here and there.
Braxton, Selene, and Kylie grew up together as the best of friends. Braxton and Selene are twins who are left orphaned at a young age. Kylie’s father is their lawyer – the man who helped watch over Brax and Selene as they grew. Nearing their 30’s, they are all looking for their forever person. Except Brax and Kylie secretly want the other to be their person. Timing has always been a problem. Then, there is their friendship and the fact that Selene is forever discouraging anything more than friendship between them. Finally, Braxton is free, and the moment Kylie is free he makes his move. They begin the relationship they have always wanted, but hide it from Selene. What happens when Selene makes her feelings known? Will Braxton break Kylie’s heart – and by extension his own? Will they find a way to keep both love and friendship?
It is easy to be bothered by the apparent selfishness of Selene. However, both she and Kylie make assumptions about Braxton’s ability to have a relationship. Neither one know that all he has ever done is find someone to fill in because he doesn’t think he can be with Kylie. Braxton tries so hard to do what he thinks is best for everyone involved, even when it hurts his own heart. This is a great, light read. Enjoy.
Good story but way to much F word!!!
The story of Braxton and Kylie is amazing. It’s one you want to happen, but you (like the characters) are afraid of the consequences if it does. Claire made these characters so real, you feel what they’re feeling. “Always Have” made me smile, laugh, roll my eyes, cry with sadness, cry with happiness, and just left me feeling whole. I can’t wait to read Selene’s story in “Always Will.” Thank you Claire for such an amazing book
What is there not to like about this story? Friends to lovers…..check. Best Friend’s brother, who happens to be hot & sexy…..check. Yep, I’m sold. I just loved Kylie and Braxton’s story so much. You knew they were destined to be together, as they just had that level of comfort with each other that they never could find with anyone else.
I love this book! The highs and lows of dating it’s all here! But there is a twist!
Great Box! Had to read the other two in the series.
Loved it. Can’t wait to reread it
