Always Enough is small town romance at its finest. Ty Shaw and Kaylee Holden have both been through major tragedies and are both struggling to overcome their demons. Struggling with feelings that neither expected. With exceptional writing and characters you can’t help but fall in love with, Kelly Elliott brings us a story full of love, heartache, and swoon worthy moments. I loved seeing all the Shaw’s again and am so looking forward to the next book in the series.

Slow Burn | Western Romance
Always Enough is the second book in Kelly Elliot’s latest series, Meet Me in Montana. This is a series of interconnected standalones are while the books could be read in any order, I suggest reading them as they’re released. I say this because you get a lot of background information in previous books where the characters start as secondary characters. Not only that, they are part of the stories that follow so you’ll either find spoilers or be confused at their roles.
With that being said, I felt like this was a wonderful addition to the series. There were some parts that grated on my nerves, but the romance itself was magical. I love seeing two tortured souls rise from the ashes and find love. There’s something so pure and heartwarming to see characters freeing themselves from their past. It gives us hope even though the characters are fictional. Another thing I loved about this novel was the theme of acceptance. As I mentioned, Kaylee and Ty have both dealt with tragedies and finding love while still grieving the past isn’t an easy feat. However, Kelly Elliot makes it clear that accepting ones past and embracing the future is important and this is shown through this story. Their budding love story was a slow burn, but it certainly made sense for what both had been dealing with and I found it to be enlightening and realistic. Kelly Elliot obviously knows how to write and engaging story and her strength at it is shown with Always Enough.
One of the things that did get on my nerves was the miscommunication. I don’t FAULT Kelly Elliot on this, but I have found that I can’t stand when characters aren’t clear in their intentions. This has been problematic for me in the past few weeks where I’ve been seeing this type of miscommunication in quite a few books. So, it’s really a personal preference rather than a jab at the author. There was something else that I didn’t care for in the story but I don’t want to say WHAT because I don’t want to spoil it for readers so I’ll add a little spoiler tag here in case you’re curious: >> (view spoiler)
TO WRAP IT UP
Overall, I really enjoyed this one. There may have been a few things I didn’t care for but when I think of the story as a whole, I did like it a lot. I’m very much looking forward to the next book (which I think is going to be Tanner’s story) and hope Kelly writes a few more because I can’t get enough of these Montana ranchers!
Book 2 in the Meet Me in Montana series and it can be read as a standalone. A very touching and heartfelt story about two people who have suffered a loss in their lives and who have found the perfect person who will be there for them to help find each other again. However, they will fight their attraction towards each other. I really loved watching them find themselves and each other. Can’t wait to read more in this series (hopefully, there will be more, love it) and from Ms. Elliott.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
When an accident unexpectedly ends Ty’s career, he becomes a bitter, unhappy shell of a person he used to be. It doesn’t help that his sister-in-law’s best friend Kaylee has moved to town permanently. With the way she looks at him & her beautiful smile, he’s finding it harder & harder to resist her. He knows she deserves better than a broken man so he will do whatever it takes to push her away.
Kaylee is dealing with her past that still haunts her years later. Moving to the town where her best friend lives gives her a fresh start. Everyone has been kind & welcoming except for the broody, grumpy man that seems to have it out for her. She can’t figure out Ty. Despite the fact he’s gorgeous he’s so hot & cold it has her head spinning. Despite her little crush on him, it’s best he continues to ignore or be irritated with her. She’s in no position to be involved with anyone.
This is a great book! Ty was trying to do the right thing by pushing Kaylee away, & his actions ended up hurting them both. They went back and forth with a lot of bad decisions and no communication. They both had to deal with their pasts & overcome the obstacles to see if they have a future together. Looking forward to the next book!
I don’t know if I’ve found the meaning of life, but I know you are my life.
(Swoon…sigh….cue skipping heart!!!) That’s it, I’m packing my bags and headed to Montana!!!!
Always Enough, the 2nd book in the Meet Me in Montana series by Kelly Elliott, is a beautiful story of life and love after devastating tragedies!! We met our main characters in book one, Never Enough. I must admit that I was SO looking forward to where the author would take these characters in their own book. Their banter and chemistry in book one was such a draw and a perfect introduction to their own story. Mrs. Elliott, once again you proved why you are tops on my author list.
Kaylee and Ty have both faced devastating tragedies that led them to build walls around their hearts, both for different reasons. Kaylee suffered the heart wrenching loss of a loved one that has shaped her life. Ty faced the fear of never walking again after a horrific accident. They are both determined to shield themselves from ‘feeling’. If you don’t allow yourself to feel, open yourself up….you will not be let down….hurt. It’s easier to face life at a distance.
When Kaylee decides to follow her friend to Montana she never expects how her life will change. She is ready to put the past behind her. Make a fresh start, hear her heart. She never expected that change to be the rugged cowboy Ty Shaw. Ty is immediately in drawn to Kaylee. Her wit, looks and devotion to her best friend. What he doesn’t expect is how is heart is drawn to her as well. NO matter how his heart longs for her, he pushes her away. Kaylee’s heart can’t take much more. I mean how much can one heart take. She knows her feelings for Ty but she cannot continue to have her emotions battered, not again.
An unexpected visitor brings news that no one expects. News that rocks the fragile hearts of both Ty and Kaylee. How can two fragile souls discover that mended hearts need the love of another to thrive. Can they see that it isn’t weakness they find but strength when leaning one another!
Always Enough is a beautifully written story of two wounded and lost hearts. Souls needing the strength of another to give it a renewed life that only comes when they find the strength and faith to open their hearts and reveal those fears. Lets not forget we are revisited by the supporting characters of this series that breathe their own life into this book. Characters I CANNOT wait to see how their stories unfold!!!
How does one author do it…..give a reader all the feels, make you fall in love with characters and leave you only wanting more? I cannot answer that, but I do know that author Kelly Elliott does it each and every book I read! If you love a small town romance, great characters, and a story that leaves your heart all a flutter….then Always Enough is the book for you!
Such a great emotional small-town read. Once again I fell in love with these characters from the start. I loved their insta love connection that Ty tries to fight from the start. I love that every one of Kelly’s stories are heartfelt, realistic and relatable. Ty and Kaylee’s story just grabs you up and pulls you in. You get all the feels and a swoony hero. Be prepared to laugh, cry, yell at your kindle and feel deeply about everything these two go through. I can’t wait to see where Kelly takes us next, will we get Tanner or Dirk’s book?
Continuing to love this series with the second book! We got to know both Ty and Kaylee in the first book of this series and by the end of that book I was dying to know more about this couple both together and apart. Ty has been struggling with his life post injury that caused him to retire from the sport both he and his family loves. With that retirement, he holds resentment and spiraled into other things, although he has finally made it out to the other side. Kaylee has a past as well in regards to her ex-boyfriend and his actions haunt her daily. Moving to Montana seemed like the best idea to get away from the history and memories that haunt her. This couple is explosive and it comes off the pages with their banter and actions. Sometimes I wanted to jump into the book and shake them because at times they were both acting crazy. Thankfully though this couple gets their HEA, with some added crazy spins on the way, and I can’t wait to see who’s next in this series to fall in love!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I am absolutely loving the Meet Me in Montana series by Kelly Elliott. The stories are character centric and you can’t help but fall in love with them and cheer them on. In Always Enough we get Ty and Kaylee’s story and let me tell you, it is full of the feels. It was emotional, heartbreaking and heartwarming and I devoured it. I loved seeing old friends, thought this can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the first book, and learning more about Ty and Kaylee.
Kaylee was strong, determined and yet vulnerable at times. She loves Ty but knows he can never love her back. Ty Shaw, the oldest of the brothers, is a broken and lost man. He thought he lost everything after tragedy struck and everything seemed to turned upside down on him. There is something about Kaylee that draws him to her. He craves her, but cravings are dangerous and can leave you wrecked if you are not careful. But the chemistry and connection between them is undeniable.
Always Enough by Kelly Elliott wan an emotional story about second chances, new beginnings, loss, grief, family and love. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend it!

Happy reading!
As human beings, we tend to dwell on our inadequacies…in some ways, we allow ourselves to be defined by the things that go wrong in our lives, wearing them almost like an albatross around our necks, finding it extremely difficult to let go of the things that tear or knock us down, even when what happened was completely out of our control.
For Kaylee and Ty, their pasts define their present and have been doing so for quite some time, and given the tragic nature of the events that categorically changed every part of who they were and where their lives were headed, it makes sense that they would be carrying their heartbreak and their baggage into their present-day lives.
But as difficult as it is to shed the hurt, the pain, and the self-recriminations…as much as the unanswered questions and unspoken words threaten to upend them, Kaylee and Ty persevere, even if it’s one second…one minute…one hour at a time, and while there will be good days and bad days, ups and downs, steps forward and backward, together, they push through it all and work toward a second chance, both individually and as a couple.
Kelly Elliott is my go-to romance author for emotional second-chance reads because it’s clear in the words she crafts and the characters she creates that she writes with her heart, taking her hero and heroine where they lead her, and doing so in a way that her readers can clearly see how far these characters have come and what they’ve overcome in order to live their best lives, and even though, the new path is not where they thought they would be, now, it’s the only place where they feel whole, not in a better way, but in a new way – one that makes them feel more than enough.
4.5 Poison Apples
I honestly couldn’t get enough of this book. It was absolutely fantastic. I loved the characters and the storyline. I enjoyed reading the twists and turns throughout the story as well. I could have happily read another book about these two characters as they were so enjoyable to read about. A fantastic story. I hope we get more of this series.
This is the second book in the Meet Me In Montana series and whilst you can read it as a standalone I would recommend you reading Never Enough> first.
I loved this story!! Ty and Kaylee are both broken souls for different reasons but together they may be able to find hope, to love.
The push / pull between them was honestly hot to watch play out. I loved that Kaylee was strong and fought to get what she wanted even when Ty was frustrating hiding behind his fear.
Kelly always manages to write her small town romances brilliantly and she makes her cowboys seriously hot! Once I start her books I am always hooked from beginning to end and finish the book with a huge smile on my face.
I am looking forward to seeing what she is going to bring us next in this series
The more I read from Kelly Elliot, the more there is to like. Always Enough is Ty Shaw’s story. We met him in the first Meet Me in Montana story, Brock’s brother. We knew he was dealing with some dark issues and maybe we even knew what those were…what we didn’t know was how his “relationship” with Kaylee started or where it would go. Kaylee has her own demons to fight but Ty seemed to be the one to break through…until he wasn’t. The two will go back and forth, will delve into issues that neither want or are ready to bring to the surface. Will Kaylee’s life in Montana end with disastrous results or will these two find a way to bring light to each other in a way they both can accept.
I was sucked in right from the start. Well let’s be honest, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this story since I read the first book in the series. Ty Shaw is one swoon worthy rancher. I adore angsty romance, and this hit the spot. Kelly Elliott filled this story with the characters personal heartache and tragedies and then expertly mixed it with romance and passion. It’s exactly what I’ve come to love and expect from her books.
Kaylee followed her best friend to Montana and loved it so much she decided to stay as well. Not only did she want to be by her BFF, loved the scenery, but there was also the matter of having her eyes set on Ty Shaw. Ty is the sexy rancher next door who also happens to now be Kaylee’s friend’s brother in law. Kaylee and Ty are thrown together a lot. Everyone around them can see they’re crazy for each other. However neither will admit to anything.
Ty has had a hard road. After being in a car accident his career as a bull rider is cut short just when it was at it’s peak. He’s thrown down a destructive spiral but his family has helped pull him out. He’s on the good side now but he keeps letting this past spiral get in his way of moving forward in other areas of his life.
Kaylee hasn’t lived a life full of roses and sunshine either. Kaylee lost her fiance and hasn’t been with anyone since he died a few years ago. She’s ready to move forward. Her eyes seem to keep finding their way back to Ty, but he has his walls up.
So the question remains, will they or won’t they? Can they find their happily every after with each other or are they destined to be alone……
The reader meets Kaylee in Never Enough, so it was fun to get her and Ty’s story. And I ADORED this book! This book gave me ALL. THE. FEELS. The chemistry between them was INTENSE! Kaylee had a trauma she had to move on from and Ty had an injury that affected his life and the way he approached things. He wanted Kaylee but he pushed her away. That chemistry was a constant push/pull until things came to head and something had to happen. And happen it did! I was completely lost in their story. It was emotional, realistic and very swoony! I couldn’t put this book down and I HIGHLY recommend this read!
Always Enough is the second book in the Meet in Montana Series and it follows the story of Ty and Kaylee. 2 years ago, Kaylee lost her fiance and has been looking for a fresh start. So, when Kaylee follows her best friend to Hamilton, she’s hoping to find what she’s been looking for. What she didn’t plan on was Ty. Ty is everything Kaylee could want, but could never have. Ty is haunted by the ghosts of his past and is afraid to think of his future. Kaylee coming into his life, turns everything upside down. Kaylee reminds Ty of better times and just how sweet life can be. Will these two defy the odds and fight their way to a happily ever after?? There’s only one way to find out…..
Always Enough is well written and captivating. The characters will pull you in to their story from the very first page. From the very first interaction, I could feel the tension just oozing off the two of them. Their chemistry was instant and me wanting more. I loved the push & pull and the will they/won’t they moments. Yes, Ty was frustrating as ever. There was so many times I wanted to reach into my kindle and just shake him. Yes, he had his reasons. Yes, he had his own obstacles to overcome, but that didn’t stop him from making me crazy. He wasn’t the only one trying to move on from his past. Kaylee had her own baggage to deal with, and I wanted nothing more than for her to find some peace and happiness. Despite how crazy Ty made me, I did enjoy him being with Kaylee. I think they had a great bond that went deeper than either of them had been prepared for. But, at the end of the day, I just couldn’t get enough of these two together and I was cheering them on right until the very end.
If I had to make one complaint about this story, it would be the drama. While I do feel that some of it was ok, there was a lot of it that didn’t need to be there. I found it distracting and unnecessary. For me, I could have done without it and been totally happy with the story.
Overall, I thought Always Enough was a quick and enjoyable read. The story was sweet and emotional. I appreciated the way the author handled the tough moments and made me fall in love with her characters. Always Enough was swoon-worthy, and sweet. It tugged at my heart and left me with a smile on my face. I had a great time getting to know Ty and Kaylee and loved falling in love with their story.
**SOBS**
This is one of my new favorite books! Ty and Kaylee’s story was everything I wanted it to be – completely frustrating and amazingly beautiful! I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to shake someone like I wanted to shake Ty, but I still love him so much! This is one heck of an emotional roller coaster ride, but I loved every second of it! An amazing addition to an amazing new series! Also, I can’t wait for Tanner’s book! Another FIVE STAR READ from Kelly Elliott!
5 Accepting Love Again Stars!!
I’m absolutely 100% in love with this series by Ms. Elliott. I actually wasn’t sure if I could love Ty and Kaylee as much I loved Brock and Lincoln. I should’ve known that Ms. Elliott would deliver because I’m all in with both of them!
Ty’s bull riding dreams were cut short thanks to a devastating accident and then faced an addiction problem. While he’s recovered from everything, he’s afraid to get close to and love a woman because he doesn’t’ feel like he deserves love nor that he can love fully. Oh Kaylee, my heart was devastated for her. She’s a beautiful young woman that’s also suffered an incredible loss and she’s starting over in Hamilton along with her BFF Lincoln. What she wasn’t expecting was to be drawn to a man, that she’s sure is as attracted to her, but refuses to give into those feelings.
These two were spectacular together. Their verbal sparring had me chuckling on more than one occasion and I could just tell, that when, and it’s definitely when not if, they took these feelings farther it would be like dynamite! And I was right!!! But, even though their chemistry is explosive, Ty is so reluctant to let Kaylee into his heart and it’s to the point that feelings are almost crushed. I gotta give props though to Kaylee, she’s lived through what’s already happened to her and she’s bound and determined to have a love with a man that loves her wholly and completely.
There’s so many fabulous scenes in this book. From when Blayze hits Ty over the head with his opinions about his Aunt Kaylee, out of the mouth of babes, to his brothers literally slapping him upside the head to realize what’s right in front of him!
This story is full of every emotion I love when reading a book my Ms. Elliott and it’s one that I’ll be reading again and again. Now it’s time to see which woman claims Tanner’s heart!
I thought the first in this series was amazing, but I loved Always Enough even more. Kelly Elliott proves ,yet again, why she is my favorite author. She never fails to capture my heart with her sweet sexy cowboys. I loved Ty and Kaylee from the first time I met them in book 1 and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on their story. And boy was it ever worth the wait!
With the both of them trying to heal from their painful pasts, these two fight their feelings tooth and nail. I couldn’t help but root for them. Kaylee is so the kind of girl I would want to be friends with and Ty is all kinds of swoony. I just loved them!
I highly recommend picking this one up today!
Book two in the Meet Me in Montana Series and Ms. Elliott gives us a slow burn love story with a pretty hefty dose of angst mixed in there. Ty and Kaylee had a quick attraction in book 1 but neither of them were ready to more forward just yet.
Kaylee needed to get away from her overbearing family and the tragedy of loosing her fiancé. What better way to do that than move across the country to beautiful Montana to be closer to her bestie. Falling in love with Montana was the easy part, her job gives her the flexibility to be wherever she pleases. But learning to do things for herself and earn the trust and relationships with people was the hard but rewarding part. As she feels she is ready to take the last step in moving on, she has her eyes on Ty but for some reason he keeps pushing her away.
Bull riding was supposed to be Ty’s future, until someone took that from him in a flash. Learning to accept the chronic pain and the changes in his life have taken there toll on this strong man. He likes working on the farm with his dad and brothers but he wasn’t ready for that to be his now just yet. He worries that he is still and might always be fighting his demons, that is not something to share with a woman. He feels that he is not good enough for a beautiful woman like Kaylee. Even if she is all he can think about.
These two characters do a lot of growing up and learning to take responsibility for their actions. Letting the past be in the past and moving forward toward a future they didn’t even know they were looking for. Ms Elliott gives us a chemistry that is jumping off the pages with these characters. Can’t wait for more from this series.

A lot of angst. A lot of drama. Some great humor. LOTS of steam. And I can’t believe I’m going to say this as I like my stories hot, but it was almost too much. By the last third of the book, I was skimming those scenes since they seemed almost gratuitous.
I received a free copy from Netgalley. This is my unbiased review.
