Josie:Forbidden love… I guess that’s what you’d call what we have. But to me, it’s just us. This is the story of how I fell in love with a man unlike any other. About how he loved me so deeply and completely, even when I tried to fight it, his love continued to shine through. Because when Travis Gellar decides to let love in, it’s the most beautiful thing. He loves without condition.Travis:She’s … condition.
Travis:
She’s the only one in my life to show me what it was like to be loved and cared for. I knew long before she did that we were meant to be together, that we’d be amazing. I just had to tear down her walls first to make her see. Once those walls fell and she saw what we could be, she saw all the beauty that I’d seen all along.
Josie isn’t just physically beautiful, but she’s beautiful inside and out. I’ve made it my mission to make sure she knows exactly how beautiful she really is. But more than that, I want to love her. Always. She’s a part of me and I’m a part of her, even when fate tries to intervene.

Lindsay, I think I hate you. Or maybe I love. I’m so confused right now.
This story has gutted me.
I absolutely love this story so much! I cannot see any other story topping this one. Ever! I have so much to say, but I’m too scared I’ll ruin it for others.
I love Travis so much!!! Those two years they missed! Why Josie, why???
I just want to fold Travis in my arms and tell him everything will be okay. Only, I can’t. Because it won’t.
I highly recommend this story!
Make sure you have some tissues ready and know you won’t be able to put one down. It’s seriously that good.
Hope you enjoy it!
Oh my heart. The laughs, the tears(there were many tears)Once i got caught up in the world of travis and josie you cant look away.Forbidden love, inner turmoil, tragedy, heartbreak, loss…My heart was literally breaking for them.Oh and lets not forget the hot steamy lovemaking. Its so down to earth and every day orientated. Its less like a fiction and more like a real life love story..Cannot wait to read book #2!
This book was really good and a first for me by Lindsay! Travis and Josie <3 I loved them so many emotions!!
This book was amazing. Its taboo but a different type. It made me feel so many different emotions. I definitely didnt see all the twists and turns coming that happens and it had me reading faster to figure out what happened next. I definitely didnt expect what happened in the end and it gave me even more feel but it was an amazing love story.
I sat down and read the entire Always series. I have to admit, Always (Book 1) had me tearing up.
This is a new author to me. I wasn’t sure I would like the book as I don’t love books with age gap plots. The story blew me away . It took me on a journey of love , devotion and loss. Travis new the woman he was born to love. It took some convincing on his part ,for Josie to take the plunge and date him. At first Josie aggravated me , as she kept fighting her feelings for Travis . To a degree I understood why. Off to read the next book.
I havent read in years, and I couldnt put this book down. It made me feel all the emotions and it was such an amazing read. Absolutely loved it.
Not sure where to even begin! I immediatly fell in love with the characters! Josie and Travis are the epitome of what secret and forbidden love are. However the love that they shared was beautiful! I got all the feels in part one of the book. Part two comes around and that’s when it really hits you. The ugly cry! Their love moves to different levels. I have never cried like that over a book and their characters. This author did an AMAZING job using words! I will need more from this Author for sure!
Love this book it only took me a few hours to read because it was such a page Turner and kept me wanting to read it. The romance right from the start gets you excited for what’s to come but it’s not what you expect love heartbreak sickness and tears are what you can expect with this book! I recommend it for sure!
What an amazing book!!! This is going to be a very short review only because I don’t want to risk giving anything away. I LOVED Always!! It had it all…humor, emotion…so much emotion!! I stayed up till almost 3 in the morning to finish this book, and I just can’t find the words, my brain is just a jumble! I loved Travis….I claimed him, he’s MINE!!! Josie and Travis together was just magical!! That ending though, shocking, and was so not expecting it. Y’all need to read this book, and I can not wait to see what the amazing Lindsay Becs has in store for us next!!
This book was recommended to me by a friend, and she nor the book disappointed.
This truly was an amazing read I laughed and I cried. I related to apart of the story and it Home. I was drawn it from the very beginning, and finished this book in less than 6 hours.
I highly recommend reading this
THIS BOOK WAS SPECTACULAR! This is Lindsays first big release, and let me tell you, HOLY CRAP SISTER!!! I love her style so much, and I deeply appreciate an emotional book. She really knows how to take all of your emotions and tug on them deeply. I was messaging her as a I read, and I told her that her writing style reminds me of a mix of Jay McLean and Lurlene McDaniel. Those two are two of my favorite! I’ve read SO many LC books and nearly all of Jay’s. I CANNOT wait until she writes more. I devoured this book in less than three hours and i desperately need more!
Josie and Travis were such amazing characters in this book. Josie is an amazing and strong woman, she’s a mother, a friend and a lover. There wasn’t one thing I didn’t love about her. Or really about Travis either. The chemistry these two had was OFF THE CHARTS, but there were so many factors working against them. When they finally did become a couple it was so euphoric! I couldn’t wait until that moment, and Lindsay portrayed this moment so perfectly! It was one of my absolute favorite moments of the book. I had so many favorite moments in this book and it’s definitely one of my favorite books this year. Each twist and turn, and every emotion was just executed so perfectly. I just can’t say enough!
I am wrecked! Wow this book got me good. I usually don’t write reviews immediately after reading, I usually take time to process. But I just can’t with this one! No spoilers but just be prepared to be emotionally spent after this book. It has everything. It was everything. There is so much love poured into this story, so much love and life. Incredible characters. Strong and power life lessons and events. Laughs and smiles. Family and soul mates. It is impossible to not get sucked into this story. You’re going to fall hard for Travis. He’s got to be one of the best hero’s ever. He is an old soul at such a young age, he’s kind and giving and loyal. He finds his one true love when he’s just a kid and fights until he gets her love in return. Josie is one ridiculously incredible heroine. She’s fun and smart and brave and strong. She’s a mom to two amazing children Oliver and Tatum, and an incredible one. Her life seems complete until Travis completely tips her world on it’s axis. She can’t deny their bond but God love her, she’s tries to. Even though Travis fights for her it just doesn’t seem like the right time in Josie’s mind and heart. Time apart and a huge life event brings them back together. Their passion and love and bond is enormous. It almost feels to big to read! There are so many times you think this book is going to go one way but then completely shocks you. Lindsay did amazing and successfully had me bawling my damn eyes out. I won’t ever forget this story. Lindsay Becs
This was a tough book for me. There were elements that I don’t typically find myself enjoying- particularly the significant age gap between Travis and Josie. That being said, I did jump on board because Lindsay Becs wrote it so well, and I found that I could feel the love between them. I absolutely loved them together!
I struggled a little with the ending~ at first I didn’t feel like it was how I would have wanted it to end, and I’m sure there are a lot of other who would agree with me on that. But, after thinking about it, while it wasn’t a HEA, I did feel like there was closure and a conclusion- and isn’t that how life is a lot of times?
I’ll be reading the other books in this series, following the kids!
Ollie and bex sitting in a tree
I loved Ollie and bex !!! loved it loved it loved it .
Book one wasn’t my favorite but i got to knownthe characters enough to know book two would be more my cup of tea ! And I wasn’t wrong !!
Ollie and Bex are Both scared of love but are so right for each other !!
Loved how their relationship grew , loved getting to know the others more and their family and just a feel good all round read
Lindsay Becs, you amazing, horrible, wonderful, evil creature you. I both love and hate you for making me fall in love with this story, wrecking my heart repeatedly and making me enjoy it. Your characters and your book will stay with me, always.
I am not a huge fan of age difference romances. They tend to skeeve me out a little bit. I picked up ALWAYS because I was about to read book 2 in the series and the writer strong suggested reading book 1 first. So I did.
Holy Macaroni you guys. This book has all the feels. The romance portion was done with discretion and mature thought. Did it make me itch a little – yep, but there was enough substance that I was able to move on from it. The way this story weaves and bobs along the trials and tribulations of the lead antagonist/protagonist was interesting and I had to read until the very end.
This is one of those books that if the ages of the characters were not mentioned and a few tweaks were made (for obvious reasons) it would be a classic romance.
I absolutely recommend this story. On to book 2 now.
This was my first foray into a book with such a large age difference between the main characters. This story made me cringe initially due to the age difference. Despite this, I jumped in and continued to read a charming, emotional love story between Travis and Josie. The taboo of him being her son’s best friend, fighting the pull, dealing with the aftermath was all masterfully written. Their love is beautiful and the ending gutted me. I grew to love these characters, as well as Josie’s family. I look forward to more stories surrounding these characters.
What started as a forbidden love. Travis and his mothers best friend Josie bring all the emotion and then some as everything unravels. Can they let the truth come out? can love win? Will they have their happily ever after?
A heartfelt, emotional rollercoaster!!
This story, while claimed to be a forbidden romance, will tug at your heart strings. Josie and Travis make it look easy and hard all at the same time. You will go through every emotion when you read this book.
Can’t wait to see what the future brings from this author and story!! Well done Lindsay Becs!!
