BENDING HER TO THE BEAR’S WILLThe human thinks I’m stalking her. Maybe I am. But I’m not the only one. There’s something evil in these woods and it preys on single women.I’m not about to let the sexy scientist fall into its lair. Just until the storm passes. Until her research is finished.
Then I’ll let her go.

Publisher’s Note: Alpha’s Prey is a stand-alone book in the Bad Boy Alpha’s series. HEA guaranteed, no cheating. This book contains a grouchy, manly bear with a penchant for protecting and dominating his female. If such material offends you, do not buy this book.

Amazing Series.
Caleb and Miranda are great together. They are endearing characters that pull you in and keep you turning the pages until the end. This is another great read in this amazing series.
What’s not to love about a broken, half-feral bear shifter in need of some TLC? Caleb and Miranda are made for each other and neither is aware of how intense the connection truly becomes over just days. Caleb lost his wife and daughter and nearly his mind in grief. Miranda is quirky, super intelligent and funny as heck with her inner running commentary! She’s in danger and he’s her salvation. Once again, Ms Rose and Ms Savino bring their characters to life and draw you in for some fast, sexy and thrilling fun!
Coupling so hot, it woke a bear from hibernation. Yup, that’s what happens in “Alpha’s Prey”; granted, we should come to expect that from the writing duo of Renee Rose and Lee Savino who bring us another installment in the yummy Bad Boy Alphas Series. If you love your romance on the paranormal side with a hefty dose of bad a$$ery men and oh so feisty women, then you’ll enjoy this story. Only instead of wolves, this time, it’s one very hawt bear stuck in a cabin with a human female. There’s lots of little details in this story that made it that much more enjoyable, not the least of which, BEARS! Well, bear. And I loved, loved, I’m tackling making actual cackle sounds, Miranda’s “documentary voice.” Because, I, of course, have never-ever done that (coughs). At all. Noooooope. Okay, that took it over the top for me as I really got a kick out of it. Granted, this is part of a series, so there’s still a bit of a mystery going on with the series story arch that I’m enjoying as well.
This book was amazing.
Caleb had been a widow for 3 years when his mate and child was murder.
He been searching for the killer.
Never did he think that he would be drawn to another female.
But when Miranda get her self in a tight situation. Caleb saves her and her dog and now that she has her he not going to let go.
I Love Miranda and how she a Dr and smart she loves her job.
I can totally relate to her.
Miranda and calleb lit up the page.
With there chemistry.
There an evil person in there mist.
Will calleb be able to Solve his wife murder?. And save Miranda.
You have to read this great story to find out. This book has humor action an Overall realistic feel.
I wish I was In Miranda spot when it came to her and caleb dynamic relationship.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy and my opinion are my own.
A phenomenally well-written tale of a healing, heartwarming love! A MUST-BUY romance!
Once again, I wish I could award more than 5 STARS to this FANTASTIC novel! “ALPHA’S PREY,” the newest novel by the award-winning writing team of Rene Rose and Lee Savino is OUTSTANDING! Starting with their BAD BOY ALPHA’S Series, Rose and Savino have been entertaining their readers with extraordinary tales of love, redemption, and salvation that always involve one type of shifter or another. No two stories are remotely alike beyond those markers, but sometimes the characters from one story will show up in another. If you have never read one of the novels or novellas written by this creative writing team, then “ALPHA’S PREY” should be your next book purchase! Fast-paced and action-packed, touted as a BBW BEAR SHIFTER ROMANCE, “ALPHA’S PREY” is so much more. So, what you really need to know is their style, their prose is easy to read and eloquently descriptive. Their characters, like Miranda and Caleb in “ALPHA’S PREY” are uncommonly well-developed. Lee and Rose use dual narration so effectively their readers totally understand the actions and decisions of those remarkable characters, and the exigent circumstances the characters face accelerate that relationship making it is easy to become both invested and enamored of Miranda and Caleb and root for their happy ever after. While I voluntarily read an advanced copy of “ALPHA’S PREY” and this is my voluntary, honest 5+STAR review, I’d like to add that “ALPHA’S PREY” stands out as one of my favorites of this series and will be placed in the FAVORITES collection on my Kindle to be read again and again! I STRONGLY suggest that you get your copy of “ALPHA’S PREY” today. Happy pages!
I received an Advance Reader Copy of the book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
After completely a totally non-related book that was a dud, I figured I’d pick up Alpha’s Prey because shifter romances tend to fun, sexy, and easy to digest – the exact sort of palette cleanser I needed after the previous nonsense I consumed. While I had a feeling I would really enjoy the book, I was not at all prepared for how much I loved it. The writing is smart and well paced, the plot was engaging, the characters are insanely likable and easy to relate to (despite her being a super smart scientist and him being a bear shifter and all), and the chemistry between them is out of this world. I was totally engrossed in Caleb and Miranda’s story from page one (it was genius to have both of their POV’s in each chapter as it kept the plot moving and it also gave us refreshing insight into what they were each thinking on a consistent basis). There were moments when I laughed out loud (one of the scenes reminded me very much of one of my favorite episodes of Parks and Recreation), I loved the trivia aspect (never thought I would learn so much in this book), AND there were even moments when tears pricked my eyes. I even loved Bear (the dog) – especially because his name is Bear and the book is about a bear shifter. I honestly did not want the book to end (though the epilogue is super sweet). I will definitely be reading the previous books in the series (thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited and my need to obsessively binge long series) and will continue reading the books as they release from this dynamic duo. I’m hooked! 4.5 out of 5 wine glasses.
The scientist and the shifter

Triggers:
kidnapping, assault
Spoilers:
Caleb, alpha bear shifter.he spends his time alone and trying to figure out who killed his family.
Miranda, human scientist who travels to the mountains alone to do research, unaware of the danger plaguing women in the area.
When Caleb see’s Miranda, his inner bear wants to claim her. Miranda doesn’t think much of men, preferring to focus on her resesrch.
Drama. Sadness. Lots of sexy time. HEA
Unapologetically hot.
Hot, hot, hot … and not that much of other storyline to brake out of that delectable state of mind. Not that the storyline comes out as lacking though. This book is a cocoon of fluid steamy goodness, flowing effortlessly from beginning till the end. We have a level headed heroine. the perfectly hot hero and an unapologetically hot storyline, with only the interruption of danger. All done so intelligently that there is no frustrating or irritating moments. Flawless writing, perfect characters and perfect narration for those buying the audio. Unapologetically hot storyline. Doing the authors proud.
Gotta love Bear.
I absolutely love almost all of Renee Rose’s work. This one is definitely a favorite. I’ll be listening to it over and over again.
The narrative is excellent.
This book was given to me for free at my request from the publisher or author or narrator and I provided this unbiased voluntary review.
This was a fabulous read. It was an amazing addition to the series. The characters are very intriguing and entertaining.
I love a little kink with my romance!!! Glad there was just enough. Not too fond of books that go too far in this genre. Love the grouchy bear and really intelligent woman. Can’t get very many of them on B&N though for some reason. Can’t wait to get more like this one.
Bookbub doesnt allow 5 stars but it was an easy read..fun. and I would recommend if you like this type of book
A solid book for this genre, perhaps slightly better than average. It was refreshing that he showed her such respect right from the start, in spite of having to rescue her.
A good quick read!
This was a great read, and I’ll be looking for the rest of this series, for sure! The word building is intriguing, and as for Caleb, the bear alpha, well the characterization is absolutely superb! I don’t usually like first person, but I got so caught up in the story within the first couple of paragraphs I actually stopped noticing it was in first person. And talk about grumpy surly…. wow that’s just perfection, LOL!!! I do wish the authors had done some characterization work on the bad guy, though… while it was pretty clear what he was doing and why, it was pretty much in-your-face, and some fleshing out of the basic info would have been of interest. But that’s my only critique, I loved this book!
Already book 11 in this series and we get to know Bearshifter Caleb. This is a very sweet and emotional book.
Caleb has such a tragic past and has basically just been surviving until he meets Miranda and then he starts to live again.
Miranda is smart, strong and full of live and weird facts. She made me laugh a lot. she was a fun character.
I love Caleb and Miranda together with Bear off course.
This is a great addition to the series
What a sweet story. I really liked Caleb. He has so much character and depth. Miranda is also a nice character. She is sweet and wouldn’t hurt anyone. Anytime you can really feel the main characters, it adds so much to the story. Can’t wait for the next one.
You can not read this story and not feel for Caleb. We met him in a past book where he is in a fight with Grizz. Caleb is a reclused since losing his wife and daughter to an unknown attacker. He would rather stay a bear and forget the human race. But when women start to go missing around his home, he has a filling it has something to do with how his wife died.
Miranda is a strong and independent woman, and she deserves a strong man with her. When she finds a bear by her cabin, she is afraid but senses something is different with it. Little does Miranda know just how different it is. Caleb is bound to protect Miranda even if she is determined to make it as hard as possible for him.
I would highly recommend this series. Although you should read these books in order, it will make more sense; you don’t have to.
FABULOUS ADDITION TO THE SERIES!!!

My Rating: Five Sexy Stars*****
Wow, I loved, loved, loved Alpha’s Prey. I’ve been a diehard Renee Rose fan for years, so I had zero reservations about buying and trying a book co-written with Lee Savino, but I had no idea I would become so addicted to the Bad Boy Alpha Series. And now, I’m a Lee Savino fan, too! I’m the proud owner of all eleven books(to date) in the Bad Boy Alpha Series and loved them all. But – yeah, yeah, there’s always a but – I do believe Alpha’s Prey may be tied with Alpha’s Secret for my favorite of the collection. This story had everything I adore in great paranormal romance – perilous danger, heart-pounding action, spine-tingling suspense, poignant drama, agonizing angst, undeniable attraction, explosive passion, steamy romance, and so much more! lol… I immediately fell in love with the female protagonist, Doctor M, aka Miranda, and her loyal companion and sidekick, Bear, a German-Australian Shepherd mix. Miranda was a curvy, sassy, kind, and highly intelligent human scientist and researcher with a doctorate in ecology. She was an absolute delight, a really a cool character and new to the series, but our male protagonist, bear shifter Caleb Snow, was actually introduced in Book 10, Alpha’s Secret. And I hated him! lol… Yeah, I get pretty caught up in the characters and their stories. lol.. Caleb was the almost-feral bear shifter recruited by the Alpha of the Tucson Arizona wolf pack to fight in a cage match against bear shifter Grizz. He was rude, crude, huge, fierce, and out for blood! But… we discover in this story that Caleb had a very good reason for his ugly disposition. His mate and cub had been viciously murdered three years earlier and the murderer was never caught. He was still suffering from the trauma of finding their slaughtered bodies. Poor Caleb was grief-stricken, completely inconsolable, and had almost given up on life. The only thing keeping him alive and partially sane was his determination to find and kill the thing responsible. And it was a thing, an evil thing, neither human nor shifter. He could sense it, feel it, smell it, almost taste it in the forest surrounding his cabin. Plus, three more female victims had disappeared from his forest without a single trace in the last 8 months – all young, single, and human. And another beautiful young human female had just arrived at the remote University of New Mexico research station just a few miles from his cabin. Of course, she was alone, except for her dog named Bear, and a snowstorm was moving in fast. How cute – like a dog named Bear could protect her from him, a nine-foot grizzly bear shifter! lol… But, oh my, who would protect gruff, growly Caleb from the sweet but feisty Doctor M?!? Poor Caleb never knew what hit him! Our grouchy, sexy bear shifter fell hard for the lovely doctor. And Miranda’s off-the-cuff documentary narrative impersonations were hilarious! From their very first encounter, Caleb and Miranda sizzled together. It was so much fun watching Caleb try to deny his feelings for Miranda and even more fun watching Miranda tempt the big, bad bear. (And yes, I actually see characters in my mind as I’m reading. Doesn’t everyone?) No spoilers from me, but I will say this… Lonely, grief-stricken bear shifter who’d given up on life-check! Beautiful, intelligent human female ecologist trying to conserve the planet and make a name for herself-check! A crazed enemy guilty of heinous crimes-check! Danger, drama, angst, action, mystery, and suspense-check! Humor, sweet romance, steamy passion, and a whole lot of heart-you bet! That and a whole lot more!
Did I like this book? No, I loved it! It was well written and kept me on the edge of my seat from the first page till the last. Each of the books can be read as a standalone, but they’re soooo much better when read sequentially. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, and I am but only for adults. It does contain some violence, explicit language and dreamy sex, and maybe even a little spanking. After all, this is a Renee Rose and Lee Savino book. Enough said! lol… Will I read this author again? Yes! I can hardly wait for the next book in the series, Alpha’s Blood. We finally get Lucius’ story! Woo-hoo! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
Renee and Lee have written another scorcher. Caleb is a great hero and Miranda is a strong, intelligent, nice person. This book treats Caleb’s dead wife and daughter with great respect. It also showcases how people can move on with life while remembering and honoring their dead. Miranda was a great help and Caleb was able to move on. As always, the love/sex scenes leave you breathless. Great book!
