BENDING HER TO THE BEAR’S WILLThe human thinks I’m stalking her. Maybe I am. But I’m not the only one. There’s something evil in these woods and it preys on single women.I’m not about to let the sexy scientist fall into its lair. Even if that means holding her prisoner in my cabin.Keeping her where I can see her at all times. Bending her to my bear’s will. Just until the storm passes. Until her …
Just until the storm passes. Until her research is finished.
Then I’ll let her go.
I swear.
Publisher’s Note: Alpha’s Prey is a stand-alone book in the Bad Boy Alpha’s series. HEA guaranteed, no cheating. This book contains a grouchy, manly bear with a penchant for protecting and dominating his female. If such material offends you, do not buy this book.

Alpha’s Prey is the eleventh book in the Bad Boy Alphas series. Miranda heads into the woods to gather research data, not thinking too much about the snow storm coming or the rumors about a feral bear. When a wild mountain man saves her from the snow storm, their attraction draws them together. As the snow clears, Miranda must get back to her research and Caleb prefers to be alone. But there’s something else in the woods, something evil, that wants Miranda for itself. Will Caleb be able to keep another female his bear wants safe?
Oh my, this book is intense for both the drama between Caleb and Miranda, and the suspense of the evil in the woods! I was flipping through the pages as quickly as I could, trying to figure everything out, but at the same time, I did not want this book to end! I loved the chemistry between Caleb and Miranda! I loved that they both wanted it just to be sex, but so quickly, it became so much more! It was definitely a heart/bear vs head internal argument. Miranda was fearless and so strong, but I loved that she could be her true self with Caleb, not having to always be defensive. Caleb was gruff and growly, but I loved how protective he was, of his heart, of his secrets, and with Miranda. I really enjoyed that while this book could be read as a stand alone, there were a lot of references to previous books for those who have read the whole series – and seriously, you should if you haven’t yet because it is just SO GOOD! This book was amazing, I love this series, and I can’t wait for more!
This is another great hit in this series. The interaction between Miranda and Caleb is very hot, very sexual and super entertaining. Miranda is the first woman Caleb and his bear has shown any interest in since the murder of his wife and daughter. The love that develops between them appears to come as a surprise to both of them. The books also contains danger. There is a HEA but not before a lot happens that almost ends Miranda. This is a super hot read and I thoroughly loved it. I would highly recommend this book along with the others in this series.
When I started reading I couldn’t put down.Lee Savino is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can’t wait for the next book.
I love Caleb and Miranda!! They are well written, compelling characters, he has a heartbreaking backstory and she is one tough, resilient woman. Their journey together isn’t easy, but such a good read. Well paced page turner form start to finish. Hard to believe we are on book 11 and I hope there are lots more rom Renee Rose and Lee Savino!!
I am voluntarily reviewing an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Finally Caleb’s story, he is such a bear of a man but he has a sad past. Along comes Miranda, a scientist in a man’s world, and she has been celibate for a long time because of her bad opinion of men and sex. Then Caleb had to rescue her and her dog and the sparks fly.
I love these Alpha shifter stories!
From the time Miranda first went camping as a child she knew the wilderness was where she belonged. She ended up getting her doctorate in ecology because she cares so deeply about nature, and developed a passion to protect it. If Miranda can prove climate change effects the trees, it will contribute to environmental movements across the globe. That’s the real reason she’s out in the middle of a snowstorm doing research.
Caleb is a giant black bear shifter who lives out in the woods isolated from most civilization. He’s given up on life after losing his wife and cub three years ago. He’d almost gone feral and let the bear take over until the Tuscan pack of Wolves came to intervene. However they had heard, they had Caleb surrounded and cornered before Garrett, their alpha, took his human form and ordered him to shift. Evidently, Garrett carried enough alpha command to make Caleb follow his orders. The pack dragged him back to his cabin and stayed with him until he was human again by forcing him to return to his human form every time he tried to shift back to his bear.
The combination of Renee Rose and Lee Savino take the shifter world and bring it into a reality that seemingly enchants, titillates, and enthralls with each book. “Alpha’s Prey” is just another wonderful addition to the string of remarkable books they’ve co-written. This one kept my heart pounding for various reasons as I quickly turned pages to find out what happened next. The sexual chemistry between Miranda and Caleb is so HOT it will absolutely fog the glass on your e-reader! Congratulations ladies on another 5 star review.
This is a shifter romance. Pnr has always been my absolute favorite. Caleb, a gorgeous bear shifter comes to the rescue of Mirada, a beautiful human woman. Loved this story. So well written.
What do you get when you have Lee Savino and Renee Rose writing together?A wonderful story with great characters, action, danger, humor, sad, heartwarming and of course, a lot of steamy scenes. You can’t go wrong reading Alpha’s Prey. Both Lee and Renee are award winning authors. Put them together and you know it’s going to be incredible!
I voluntarily read an advanced copy of “Alpha’s Prey” and this my honest review.
This is definitely the sweetest story in this series!
Caleb is a haunted, troubled bear shifter, barely hanging on to his humanity. He suffered a tremendous loss and hasn’t completely found his way back. But after his last visit to Tucson, he’s getting closer to finding the answers he needs.
Miranda’s looking for a different set of answers. As an ecologist and researcher, she’s collecting data on Caleb’s mountain and is only moderately aware of the danger that lurks about. Caleb is determined to protect her while just as determined to keep his distance from her. Of course, he can’t accomplish the first without failing in the second.
Caleb and Miranda have so much in common at the heart and soul level, even though their lives look very dissimilar from the outside. Their attraction is so very hot yet deeply heartfelt right from the start. On the road to their HEA, however, they have to battle their own pasts as well as the presence of evil that is threatening to destroy Caleb’s life once again.
At the heart of this sweet and tender romance is the way both Caleb and Miranda fill each other’s empty spaces with hope for a future they never thought possible. Only tangentially connected to the other books in this series, it’s a complete standalone romance with just enough of the series history included to explain the present threat. It’s my favorite so far – Caleb is the perfect growly, bossy, yet wholly devoted book boyfriend that dreams are made of. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I read this book in one sitting. I loved Caleb, the gentle Alpha as well as Miranda, the woman who helps heal his broken psyche. The setting was in the mountains during a blizzard…..I mean really, can you get any better than that?
Absolutely lovely!
There is evil in the mountains……..
Caleb was dealt a blow that devastated his world, ripped it apart, took his wife and daughter and left him a shattered and broken “man”.
Teetering on the edge, his world will never be the same, then Miranda enters it. Smart, voluptuous, kind, compassionate, passionate, dedicated and not a fan of men or sex.
Challenge issued and accepted, Caleb “educates” her over and over, and changes her opinions on both, lol.
But both are afraid of more, and when they go their own ways, evil strikes!
It will take this man/bear shifter, a loyal dog named Bear, a heart of love, great instincts, a fantastic sense of smell, luck and fate to bring them back together, solve the evil crimes committed and free their hearts for their HEA!
Loved, loved, loved this story! One of my favorites in this series! Thank you, Lee and Renee!
I have to say that I think this author pairing is a winning duo. It coveys so much emotion, angst, self doubt and how grief can effect you.
Miranda is an ecologist that came up to the mountain with her dog Bear to get sample for an environmental grant. She isn’t prepared for a sudden snow storm while out collecting her samples. Caleb a bear shifter comes to her rescue.
Caleb a bear shifter has a grumpy and gruff attitude, he is in mourning for his lost mate and child. Yet when he hears Bear barking and yelping he goes to the rescue.
There is so much more to this story but I cannot reveal that just know that you made need both tissues and a glass of ice water.
I voluntarily chose to read an advance copy and in no way was I compensated for this story and this opinion is honest and my own but if bear shifters, a damsel in distress and a happy ever after ending are your kind of story then give it a whirl.
Caleb is a lone shifter bear, a bit more bear than human after losing his mate & child. But he’s been trying to find the big baddie that killed them, while trying to keep an eye out on women in the forest with a kidnapper on the loose. Then comes Miranda, an ecologist up to do experiments, and he ends up saving her, and her dog, a few times. She brings out the human in him, and both sides of him really connect with her. There’s excitement, laughs, sexiness, and danger. You get it all. And you’ll absolutely love it!!!
Remember the bear who won the cage fight in the last book?
His name is Caleb and this is his story.
He lives in the middle of the wilderness and mostly in his bear form. Only when a scientist, collecting tree samples, gets stuck in a snowstorm, he grudgingly changes to save her and her dog. Who’s called Bear by the way! Coincidence?
Those two are snowed in but the temperature inside the cabin is quickly rising to absolutely steamy!
The mix of the socially awkward mountain man and the brainy scientist is in equal parts explosive, sweet, and funny.
Toss the threat of a re-awakening old danger into the mix, and you have another suspenseful, sexy, sweet tale in this series.
I loved Caleb’s story! Miranda was quirky and perfect for him!
