I moved to New Orleans to escape a dark past. I had never really believed in the supernatural or other beings I didn’t truly understand, but then the unthinkable happened… After being taken hostage by two wolves, I don’t know how I will make it out of this situation alive. My only flicker of hope appears when they finally take me to their alpha. He wants me as much as I want him, but when my past … when my past is discovered, I don’t know if he’ll ever let me go.

A short well written story that kept me turning pages. This is wolf shifter Pike, Farrah and her brother Owen’s story. An enemies to lovers story. I enjoyed reading this book.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Farrah saw something on the way to her car after work and got kidnapped by the two men she saw turn into wolves. They too her to their Alpha and when they saw each other, Farrah wasn’t a wolf like Pike but she knew that they belonged together. She found out that her dad and brother were wolf hunters. She stopped Owen from killing Pike but she stepped in front of the arrow shot at Pike. Farrah made Owen that he wouldn’t kill Pike.
Farrah Walker was a bartender at The Avenue Pub. She loved the job, but it was definitely tiring. She thought back to her dad’s death in Detroit, allegedly shot and left for dead by a drug dealer. She had left and come to New Orleans, but she had never heard anything in the news about his death and wondered if that’s the way it really happened. She and Dusty, the other bartender, closed up the bar and left. He drove away and she walked around to the other lot where her vehicle was. But she saw 3 men there, one with a gun, so she hid behind a truck. The man with the gun said the two unarmed guys were going to pay for taking his son from him. Oddly, the two men seemed unafraid of the gun. She closed her eyes and heard odd sounds and, when she opened them again, she saw two huge wolves as they leaped at the man and ripped him apart! When they left, she walked over to the puddle of blood. But when she looked up, the two men were staring sat her!
The men grabbed Farrah and stuffed her in the trunk of their car. She was taken to Pike, the Alpha of a wolf pack. Pike feels there is something familiar about Farrah but can’t recall knowing her. The two of them have a chemistry pulling them to each other. Will they discover the secrets that even Farrah doesn’t know? Will Pike let her go? Or will he keep her as his?
This was a good story. My only suggestion would be to make it a bit longer, but it was still enjoyable and the plot was good.
This is the story of Farrah and Pike. She witnessed something she shouldn’t have and is brought to the Pike who is the alpha of the wolf pack. Their chemistry is sizzling but there are secrets to discover. I enjoyed this steamy romance, the intrigue and the strong connection they had. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.

Supernaturals don’t exist, right? But what happens when your kidnapped by something you’ve never seen before… Two wolfs who take you to their “alpha” or boss and you can’t help feel this is all surreal and can’t be happening.

Fun fab read
A modern-day, paranormal version of Romero and Juliet. Well with the exception that Romero and Juliet are the decision makers. The change is enough to make the reader want to know if that is sufficient to cause there to be a difference in the outcome.

I liked the beginning of the story. I felt the fear she felt as the situation she was in became even worse. I thought the author gave the story an even more intense vibe by creating an interesting twist with the Alpha of the pack. I had a hard time liking him though especially in the beginning. The author made him unlikable in my opinion with his initial comments. I liked the story in the end though as their connection grew with the story.
Farrah leaves work and sees something she was not meant to see and gets kidnapped.
Leaving the bar where she works Farrah heads to the place she parked her car but as she nears she sees three men and one has a gun. She duck down behind a truck and watches horrified as two of the men turn into wolves then kill the one with the gun. The two change back then realize she was watching so they grab her and put her in the trunk of their SUV to take to the alpha.

I loved this! It grabbed me from the first page, kept me til the last and enthralled me in between. Well worth your time to read it.
This story made me wish there was a sequel behind it. There were some amazing characters and it would have been great to see more development of the a main characters to see how they came to be where we see them at the start of the story. This one was good.

This is an interesting story with strong characters and a steamy passion. It’s fast paced with a hot romance between Farrah and her Alpha and has them dealing with a dark past as well as having a hot chemistry. It’s an enjoyable story.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
When Farrah sees something she shouldn’t have, she is kidnapped and taken to the alpha of the pack, Pike. Pike realizes that there is something familiar about her but does not know what it is. Research concludes that her father was a wolf hunter, even though she had no idea. However, Farrah and Pike feel a connection that cannot be denied.

3 1/2* Not really much to write about this book. It wasn’t bad and it wasn’t great. The editing was good but I felt some of the scenes were blocky. As in there would be a block of something happening then on to the next block but it felt there should be something in between those blocks. I know it’s a short story but it didn’t flow smoothly. I was also unhappy with parts of the ending. I have questions.
