I BOUGHT HER. I OWN HER. BUT SHE’LL NEVER BE MINE…A Vampire King… queen…
All my life I’ve trained for one purpose. One ultimate goal: kill the Vampire King.
I expected a fight. Pain. Torture. I didn’t expect to want him. My body is a weapon he turns against me.
But I can’t forget my fallen pack. My quest for revenge. My mission is simple:
Seduce him. Earn his trust. Bring him down.
Above all: don’t fall in love.
This stand-alone romance is the twelfth in the bestselling Bad Boy Alpha series. HEA guaranteed, no cheating. This enemies-to-lovers story contains a cool, collected vampire and the she-wolf sent to bring him down. If such material offends you, do not buy this book.

Alpha’s Blood was the first book that I’ve read by Lee Savino and Renee Rose. Let’s just say that I was thoroughly entertained and enlightened. The story intrigued me and left me wanting to know more about this world of vampires and shifters. Although it was not my typical read, I certainly couldn’t put it down nor did I want to. Do I recommend Alpha’s Blood? Most definitely!
I love the idea of vampires and shifters and paranormal kink. And I’ve been trying to figure out the enigmatic vampire king since we were first made aware of his existence. Normally I adore everything these authors write, and I’ve loved just about everything I’ve read in this world. This story had the bones to be something amazing: orphaned werewolf trained to be a vampire assassin and the lonely jaded vampire king who is her mission. What wins in the end, head or heart? While the scenes between Selene and Lucius are more than steamy, I wanted to feel more of the tension that description conjures up. I guess I’m just a greedy reader. I enjoyed the book but I wanted more. This does explain some of the things I didn’t fully understand from the Midnight Doms books I’ve read.
This book had me enthralled throughout. I would love to see more set in this world. You will cry and be on the edge of your seat until the end.
Selene is a virgin werewolf at an auction. She needs to get close to the vampire king, Lucius. She has been trained to kill the king. However, she never expected to find him so hot. She still wants to go through with her plan for revenge, but what is the king’s agenda. This is a story of intrigue, suspense, mystery, romance, and has some steamy scenes. The characters have undeniable chemistry and hidden agendas. The question is now,.who will come out on too in the end?
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A vampire king who bought an shifter wolf..
It’s an paranormal shifter adult romance book.
I loved this story, it’s intriguing and the amount of violence, sex, adventure is in balance.
I’m a huge fan of these authors individually and whenever I see new books from them as a team, it’s always a special day.
Lucius and Selene has heat. H. E. A. T. Not surprisingly, as these two authors can write characters, dialog, a storyline and great HEAs.
There are secrets, agendas, intrigue, mystery and romance. This was a great addition to this series and can stand alone.
I recommend this book, this series and these two authors individually.
Alpha’s Blood by Lee Savino and Renee Rose is book One in the Midnight Doms Series. This is the story of Lucius and Selene. Selene is a Werewolf Shifter who has been trained and sent on a path to take down Lucius. Lucius is the Vampire King who has enemies wanting to take him out. But one thing Lucius knows is that he wants Selene. Selene is finding Lucius hard to resit until she just can’t. Loved this book and their story.
I honestly did not think I could love this series anymore, but then I got Alpha’s Blood and OMG I freaking fell in love with this book. We met the Vampire King Lucius Frangelico a couple of books ago, and he has made a couple of appearances and every single time I have loved his character more and more. I was so hoping we would get his story and Renee and Lee did not disappoint!
Lucius is tired of being, every time he makes and sires someone eventually they come to try and kill him. He cannot trust anyone, and it gets old. Having to be King is not all it is cracked up to be. So when he is invited to an auction, he knows it is a trap, but Lucius feels he has no choice but to see what will go down. Little does he know he will bid and win a beautiful sub and train her to his liking.
Selene is at the auction so that she can get into Lucius eyesight. She wants to be won by him and will have no one else win. But does Selene know what she is getting into? Selene has worked tirelessly and dedicated her life so that when she finally gets into Lucius home, she will be able to get her revenge. But after everything Lucius puts her mind and body through, will she be ready to go through it?
I really do not want to give anything away with this book. I have loved every book I have read by both Renee Rose and Lee Savino and books they have written together have blown me away.
I was given this book as an ARC and will purchase it as soon as I post this. The whole story line is new to me, but that maybe because I don’t read a lot of vampire books. This book has showed me the error of my ways. This book has everything I could want in a story, love, lust, revenge, conspiracies, a hot Alpha and a beautiful strong heroine. Lucius is a hot alpha King of the Vampires and Selene is a beautiful spunky shifter. Selene is looking for revenge . Lucius wants to know what she’s up to and who put her up to it. When these two come together there should be lightening strikes and fireworks. I adore these characters. I couldn’t put this book down. Highly recommend it.
Toppling the King
—>>> Lucius Frangelico impulse buys Selene, a virgin wolf shifter who intrigues him at first glance. Lucius’s boredom has now ended – he can feel that she has hidden depths, and he cannot wait to have her as his submissive. Having existed for so long, Lucius is cognizant that his sired, perhaps even all of them, are restless and a change is coming. Only Lucius did not realize that he has played right into the hands of an enemy who has been plotting a long time, biding his time until his plan can come to fruition.
A great read in this series from this dynamic writing duo!
As always these two authors manage to produce another amazing book to tease, titillate and thrill!
Selena and Lucius are amazing characters, both are so strong and love so fiercely that they will drag you through the ups and downs of their story making you cheer them on every step of the way!
MUST READ
I received a copy of this book via BookSprout and am leaving my review voluntarily. I also had purchased a copy, that’s how much I loved this book! Lee Savino and Rene Rose are hands down one of my favorite writing duos. They write with one voice so the flow and cadence of the book is seamless. All that said, Lucius, the Vampire King and Selene, the wolf shifter’s story is one of revenge, double crossing, and full of twists and turns. The book moves quickly, has intense chemistry, and “fog your glasses” steam. Great read and great start to the Midnight Doms series
I love a good vampire book and this did not disappoint! Add in the shifter element and I am pretty much in heaven.
The characters are great and we get to see a few from previous books. The storyline moves along at a consistent pace, with action, steam, revenge and twists.
This was an amazing read! I loved how unique the storyline…love between a vampire and a shifter. I loved Lucius. He is the vampire king and one would think he would be cold, but he is warm and really cares for Selene. There was a lot going on in this book, and it made me want to read more and faster to find out how it all ended. I can’t wait for the next book!
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.
This is the twelfth book of the awesome Bad Boy Alphas series and I loved it. Lucius, king of the vampires has appeared in the last book or two of the series but in this book the love story of Lucius and Selene, a werewolf, takes center stage. From the beginning Lucius and Selene have undeniable chemistry and it only grows stronger as the story progresses. They each have their own agenda but ultimately it all ties together in this hot and steamy romance with bit of of mystery and suspense. The writing is great, as always, and I couldn’t put this book down.
The Alpha books are so good and Alpha’s Blood was fabulous.
This revolves around a vampire, Lucius, and Selene, a wolf shifter.
Lucius is King of the vampires and there are some vampires that would like him to die permanently. Selene is sent to trick him, earn his trust, and the kill him. But a relationship happens.
I really liked this story!
Sat down to read the first few chapters and couldn’t leave it alone, it had me from the auction, hoping that Lucius and Selene would get together and Xavier would get his just deserts-that vampire was pure evil. Also it was fun to see the three shifters pop up in this story, hope they all pop up in future books. This was an author ARC and a great read
Who would have thought that a book about a vampire king and a shifter with elements of BDSM would turn into a very entertaining romantic suspense novel?
I’m not big on vampire books, but I liked Lucius. He was a vampire Dom who was witty and compassionate. He had a sadness and vulnerability that Selena could sense. Selena was tough, strong, independent and only willing to submit to one.
This book was a truly romantic love story with a twist. I believe my favorite part was the end of the book. It is a fast paced read about betrayal, with some action and suspense.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy.
I received this book as a gift through Bookfunnel and I would like to give an honest opinion of what I have read.
I have read several of Lee’s books and Renee’s as well and I have as of yet have not been disappointed in the plot and the play of the book. This is a fantastic story, one that you will not want to stop reading unless you just need to cool down a bit. Now let me worn those of you that are not familiar with their work they do use BMSD in their writing. If that is not what you want to read then this is not the book for you. I will say though you will be missing out one a wonderful love story if you pass the book up. Well this book is more than just a love story. It is a story to two vampires one is evil and one is not so the question is which one is telling the truth. Xavier has been training Selene every since he found her at her foster mothers house at sixteen. Xavier is a one eyed vampire and he knows who killed Selen’s pack along with her parents. He tells her it was the King Of Vampires, Lucius Frangelico. Xavier has told her that Lucius took those that survived put them in his dungeon and drank them dry. Xavier trains her from then one to fight vampires, stake and kill them with the one intent of killing Lucius. He prepares her for the auction house, being told the King will be there that night Xavier wants to make sure that Lucius bids and wins her as his new pet. What she is to do is to gain his trust and when his guard is down she is to kill him or be killed.
Lucius see’s Selene on the stage and is tempted to bid on her. He has other reasons for being there however and bid on someone was not one of them. But she looks like someone that was once close to him. He has some suspicions about some of the vampires he has sired that a coup is forming. When Xavier bids on Selene, the one vampire that used to be a rival Lucius knows that he has to bid on her. That he does. What happens in the next weeks makes Selene question everything. Who is the real enemy, and when she finds out will she be able to save the one she cares about, or will he save her.
These Two Authors Create Greatness!!
A young lady raised to be an assassin. An ancient vampire who sees she is not a submissive but is playing a role. She reminds him of the only woman he ever loved. The setup is perfect. The characters are perfect. The relationship deepens beyond eithers expectations.
Scintillating and intriguing with Monty Python references – makes this both sensual and humorous and a delightful read!!
