This was a super captivating story from start to finish. We meet Sheridan and Trey, who have known each other since their childhood because as children they were members of the same pack. Sheridan was always destined to be ranked high in the pack being the niece of the Alpha, daughter of the second in her pack. Trey was in the lower echelons of the pack, first with a father who was banished and a mother who is pretty much an Omega. He never expected to fall into Sheridan’s personal space. Two very different members of the same pack come together as young high school teenagers and fall in love. But pack politics tear them apart and each decides to betray one another without knowing the consequences that would haunt them for 12 years. Now as grown adults Sheridan and Trey are once again brought together because of pack politics. But this time their inner wolves will not be denied their instinct to be mated. Though all hell may break lose, Sheridan and Trey will make the ultimate decision to either fight and stay together or follow the same pattern from their past.
I loved how this story was told. We were taken back in time to reference key moments in the couple’s young year and illustrate how what happened 12 years ago resonates with what is happening in the present. Renee Rose and Lee Savino did a wonderful job in telling this entertaining shifter story.
So freakin’ hot!!
After the heartbreak that was their youth Trey and Sheridan have to work together to make things right. There is so much hurt and pain, but watching as these two worked through it and finally found what they wanted for so long, it blew me away! Love never really dies, no matter the distance. Trey and Sheridan were amazing and I can’t wait to see what else Renee and Lee have for me!
I love this series. Yes, I have been keeping up with it, but you can read this one as a standalone.
We finally get Trey’s story and what a story it is.
Trey has been in love with the same girl since high school. But to save his mother and himself he walked away from everything he ever knew to protect them all.
Sheridan has loved Trey since the moment she met him. But she had a bright future and her parents didn’t want her to screw it all up for a boy. So when Trey broke up with her for no reason she figured it had to do with that. But when he disappeared and she had no other choice but to go to school, Sheridan made the most of it.
Years later they meet again. But will they let the same mistakes happen? Or will they finally admit they are fated to be mated and put their past behind them?
This is another great, hot read in the series! We get so much backstory from the way the book goes from present day to twelve years ago. The characters of Sheridan and Trey are deeply developed and their explosive chemistry made me not want to put the book down (blaming the authors for my sleep deprivation). If there is only one series you will read this year, read this one!
I read an early copy of this book for the opportunity to leave an honest review. I must say, the Bad Boy Alpha stories by Renee rose and Lee Savino continues to get the heart racing and the juices flowing in this 9th installment of their fantastic Tucson Pack series. The characters get more interesting and the storylines have grown deeper and more complex. The latest book deals with Sheridan Green, first cousin to Alpha Garrett Green and Wolf Ridge Pack princess. As a teen, she fell for the misunderstood and smart outcast, Trey Robson. When he is forced to leave, she heartbroken. Twelve years later, there are going to be consequences for that hurt and her own betrayal. Trey is a wonderfully complex character; he carries his heart and emotions on his sleeve, but guards them closely because of how strongly he still feels for Sheridan, he’s known since he first met her that she’s his mate. But how does the bad boy get the perfect princess when forces all around them are intend on keeping them apart? You’ve got to read their story! Lots of recurring characters and interwoven plots that keep you up to date and actively involved in the story.
I love all of their/her books. I read this in just a few hours as I could not put it down. Hot steamy scenes with a hot guy and a strong woman. I cannot wait for the next one in the series.
I’ve been reading this series since story 1 and with each new addition, I’m increasingly wowed by the writing chops of Renee Rose and Lee Savino. In “Alpha’s Bane”, we are treated to two separate timelines (growing up and the present), as Trey and Sheridan must navigate old hurts and come to grips with not only working together in the present but also dancing around their blazing attraction for each other.
Likes: As I’ve said, I’ve been following the series from the beginning and I was so pleased to get the backstory on why Garrett and his friends split from the Phoenix pack. We also get more of what’s going on with the local vamps, which is going good for a thrill. And of course, Trey is much more than muscle, which is awesome. The flashbacks worked well for the story. While they weren’t always seamless, they served as an integral part to the story giving readers some much needed backstory that couldn’t have been told well any other way. Not quite likes: I wanted to like Sheridan more than I did. While her character is great for the story and fits well with what we would come to expect from someone in her role, I was definitely #teamtrey. However, I will say that I absolutely loved her quote and word of the day calendars. Those were fab.
I love the universe that Renee Rose and Lee Savino have created. The guys of the Tucson pack are hot, dominant, protective, loving, and stubborn af. They are also occasionally idiots, because, well, they just are.
Years ago, Garrett Green and some of his friends got kicked out of the Phoenix pack by his Alpha father. So, they decided that they would start their own pack and most of the young wolves went with them. Now, years later, Garrett, Tank, Jared, and Trey are happily running the Tucson pack. Trey is running a fight club for shifters. It’s a neutral place where any shifter can come and fight. Also, vampires are showing up. So when Sheridan Green shows up, Trey sees nothing but trouble. After all, she was his first girlfriend and she got him kicked out of the Phoenix pack.
Sheridan Green, cousin of Garrett, has been sent down to Tucson by her father and her uncle. She’s the perfect pack princess and always does what she’s expected to do. She is straight-laced, uptight, and always perfect. So now she’s in Tucson to shut down the fight club, on her Alpha’s orders. But it’s never that easy. Especially when it comes to inter-pack politics.
I loved finding out more about Garrett and his guys and their eviction from the Phoenix pack. I like Trey, but he’s a blithering idiot sometimes. I mean, he spends some time with a cranio-rectal inversion of massive proportions and Sheridan was rightfully upset about it. He’s a pretty good guy and we’ve seen him through the other books being a good guy. I like Sheridan. I felt so sorry for her though. It’s hard to be torn the way that she was. I really, really, really hate her dad though.
And another GREAT read from Renee Rose and Lee Savino!
The Bad Boy Alphas series is a brilliant shifter series that you seriously do NOT want to miss! The books can be read separate – but I highly recommend starting at book:1Alpha’s Temptation , because the characters do interact in several of the books and cross and cameo each other – so you will probably feel a bit lost if you don’t. 🙂
Sheridan is a strong female alpha she-wolf, but she’s sadly got what I like to call: “Daddy’s good girl syndrome”. It means that she spends far too much time trying to please her father – so much so that she’s risking the love of her life getting away forever.
Trey is not an Alpha – but he’s far from a pushover. Sadly our beloved male has some serious insecurities about himself and struggles a bit with his self-worth.
That tends to happen when your dad’s a shit head wife-beating criminal – and your mother and you end up taking the brunt of it. Add in Sheridan’s dad pushing his weight around and you’re all set.
Now they meet again and sparks fly. Tention is high and so is the hurting and hongry feelings.
Trey belongs to a different pack than Sheridan and he runs the shifter fight club. He’s doing quite well for himself and has come a long way since he’s high school days.
The pack has a truce with the “leeches” in the area – otherwise known as the Vampires. Lucius (isn’t it interesting how this is such a popular Vampire name??? hmmm…) Frangelico is the Vampire King on these parts (probably in the US as he’s VERY old) and our couple needs to work together to try and prevent a war with the Vampires.
This book has got hawtness in spades – some happy spanking, dark bdsm dungeon (mwahahah) that makes your toes curl a little, it’s got pack drama, creepy Vampires and a well deserved HEA.
4* from me! It’s not the best in the series – but I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I also love the series in general.
Who’s the alpha now
This writing duo is at it again with the much anticipated story of Trey. Unlike the other books, this one has a back story element. Where most authors struggle with this style of writing, these two shined. The flow of the story is so smooth that each flashback is seamless and really adds an emotional aspect of the story that adds depth. I love how Trey always puts others first and how his lady love finally stands up for what she wants and who she is. This book has a fantastic HEA that wouldn’t have happened without the wonderful story designed to draw us to it. I can’t wait to see where these authors take this series and witch alpha will find redemption next.
Had a hard time turning off this audiobook. Sheridan and Trey got a second chance together, despite their past mistakes. I loved their chemistry, the steam between them off the charts. I enjoyed the secondary characters as well. This was my first story in this series, and I look forward to more. The narration by Benjamin Sands helped bring the story to life in my car. I highly recommend this story.
This is my unsolicited review.
Audiobook: Narrator – Benjamin Sands
Mr. Sands does a great job with both the hero and heroine as well as the secondary characters. With his smooth, deep voice, he gave life to Trey especially. This is my second audio by this narrator and I struggled a bit before with his female voice, but this time I didn’t have the same issues and found this go round to be even more enjoyable. I’ll certainly be eager to listen to him again in the future.
Years ago, Sheridan ruined Trey’s life as well as those of his friends. They were thrown from the pack and left to pick up the pieces of their life. Now she’s been sent back into his life. Their past is present every time they interact, but through it all is the pull towards each other that they once shared.
This was a great first love/second chance audio. This couple had so much heartache from actions they both had taken in the past. I loved watching them work through not only those issues, but the conflicts they face now. With a lot of action, and plenty of time lapses to show us what and how everything went down when they were young, this kept me listening almost non-stop.
The relationship between Trey and Sheridan absolutely sizzles with sexual tension and when they act on their attraction my earbuds almost melted. My heart hurt for all they had been through and it did seem an almost insurmountable task for them to get beyond their past. This has some mystery to it that keeps things moving along and allows plenty of alpha goodness to rise up in Trey, which is my jam!
Overall, a very nice quick listen that stands alone.
I really enjoyed the story. Both characters are strong.
Trey and Sheridan have a past which led to Sheridan betraying her cousin Garret’s pack. Can she and Trey bury the past and reconnect?
Sheridan or the pack princess as Trey calls her has come to shut his fight club down sent by the Green pack where her father is the second or beta in command. In the past she never looked down on Trey because of his father’s misdeeds or his mother’s lower place in the pack. Trey one of Garrett’s friends and member of his pack has been booted out of the Green pack because of Sheridan yet he never voices his role in that betrayal.
I really liked all of the emotions and the looks into the past of Trey and Sheridan’s relationship. I won;t say hos they reconnected just tat it was a really good story and I cannot wait for more stories. I voluntarily read an advance copy and have not been compensated in any way for this opinion.
I love Renee Rose. This series is great
As always when those two ladies get together to write a book, you get a well written story with loads of plot twists, surprises, strong characters, and suspense.
This one is full of pack politics, uneasy alliances, murder, and final emancipation.
The story is told with a series of flashbacks, which gave me a bit of whiplash, that explained the history of the h and H.
And of course it ends with a happy end shifter style!
He may be a MMA wolf shifter – but she holds the leash
Until he makes her wear it!
OMG this series gets better and better. And this one just tipped the scales into being on my ‘Favourite Of All Time’ list!
The way that Trey and Sheridan have always loved each other but their relationship has a few ups and downs – blinking heck they’re mountains – and now if only they can forgive each other then maybe everyone else will too …..one day.
I had a great night reading this book. I snuggled down under my warm blanket with my cat and my kindle and just enjoyed this book so much.
Go on – read this book and see how much Trey and Sheridan’s story is worth it
Wow this book was a good read.
I liked Sheridan and Trey Character they both were young when they fell in love but at that time things happen and Trey broke up with Sheridan. Years later Sheridan is all grown up and has come into her own. Sheridan has to go to this under ground fight club to get some Intel. That were her and Trey reunite. Trey still in love with her even though Sheridan did something to hurt him also.I liked that they’re we’re brave enough to over come the past and move forward this book was well written non stop action and a good HEA.
I voluntary read an advance reader copy and my own are my own.
LOVE this series! I asked for more, actually I begged for more and now I have received more! LOL How these two authors continue to deliver is astounding and they do with each story they write. Each story is a stand alone – they tell their own story, no repetition and they compliment one another. This story enlightens us, as we find out why, Garrett split from his father’s pack, years ago and how and why he formed his own pack and became the Alpha.
Sheridan and Trey are two Dominants and this is so refreshing -We have a Dominant, strong, capable female character! Wonder how that will work out since they are so attracted to each other. Their story is a romance that spans over the years. Sheridan was the Alpha’s daughter and led a protected, loving life. Trey was the boyfriend from the wrong side of the tracks. Family pressure, their love and other factors sent them on different paths. Now, they have met again -revenge, resentment, hurt feelings – can’t impede the love that is still felt and has never dissolved.
Renee Rose and Lee Savino keeps us on edge, as they write about Sexy, Dominant Alphas, adding suspense and mystery. It is fast paced with great twists and steamy! They are able to weave a story together and get us to feel a part of it, so we can’t put it down. LOL Thank you Renee Rose and Lee Savino.
