The excellent interplay combined with a nail biting, compelling, must read style, keeps you turning the pages until you get you desired ending. Full of action, adventure, betrayal, and emotion. This is an incredible start to a new series. This is steamy and fast paced. There are fantastic unseen twist and turns that will capture your attention.

There are three alphas, each with their own agenda, but all with an eye on ruling Bull Creek. Neal Porter found his destined mate and has lost focus on his calling as alpha of Bull Creek. The inhabitants are suffering with the lack of attention, and the Paranormal Council wants him replaced with someone of their choosing. Dimitri Everest, part of Draven Falls, is tired of his father making his life decisions for him as he did for his brother by arranging a marriage for him. It is time for him to leave, and the Council would love him to go to Bull Creek and fulfill his destiny. There is still a third alpha involved as well, ruling Bull Creek from the shadows, and he has no intention of letting go. In fact, his plans are to run the humans out of there and put Neal Porter firmly in his power. So which way will this go? Dimitri is the best candidate, and the story will focus there. Dimitri will have a struggle in getting Bull Creek where it needs to be, but he can also unify the people into a tight community and draw them in to help make things right again.
This was a good book and gave a great deal of information about how things work and the importance of the alpha who leads. The story line is good, and the tension about who might come out on top keeps the reader involved. The characters are well fleshed out and there is a pull toward wanting Dimitri to be successful. Will he be able to bring back the tight community of family and friends that has suffered from poor leadership? Grab your copy and find out.
This exciting paranormal short story is full of action, twists and romance is the perfect first book in the “The Bull Creek Chronicles” series. The story draws you in and leaves you wanting more. I’m excitedly waiting for the next book in this series

Dimitri refused to follow his father’s plans then gets on offer from the Paranormal Council.
Panther shifter Dimitri watches as his father maneuvers his older brother into an arranged marriage with a woman not his fated mate and both he and his sister refuse to be forced into the same arrangement. Then the Paranormal Council approaches him with an offer of taking over as Alpha of the small town of Bull Creek replacing the current one who is failing in the job. His sister agrees to move with him transferring to a job with the local Sheriff’s Department plus his friend Josh agrees to move down with him. They arrive and try to get an idea of the situation. Fox shifter Neal had been sent to be the alpha of Bull Creek but finding his mate had messed with his thinking and the local coyote Alpha Bane who is his mate Tina’s alpha has been using her to influence Neal into his way of thinking. When he is told he is being replaced he knows he has failed and the Bane will not take the change without causing trouble.

Fast-paced steamy paranormal read. Dimitri is read to make his own fate and not what his father wants. With Neal finding his mate and distracted from being the alpha of Bull Creek. Will Dimitri accept the job? Entertaining read with loads of drama and suspense. I am looking forward to more in the series.
The 2nd book I have read by this author. They are enjoyable reads that deal with over coming obstacles in your life. Wither it be a controlling parent making his children do what he wants, or a prejudice alpha trying to control a town, this shifters find ways to over come the negatives and work to making their lives and the lives of their friends better.
This is a easy read and one that gives you hope.

This is a great prequel to this already awesome series. It was great going back and seeing how it all started. I am not one who usually likes that mostly because I already know where everyone already is and how they are doing. But this book was great. I was kept entertained throughout the whole book. Robbie is doing such an awesome job with this series I can’t wait to see where he goes with the spin offs for the rest of the stories.

Alpha Rising, The Bull Creek Chronicles by Robbie Cox answers the questions about how/why Dimitri Everest ended up as Alpha in Bull Creek. It could also be considered the first installment in the Destined Mates series. The characters are interesting and well written. It’s fast paced, easy to follow and gets you right in the middle of things quickly, and a little steam, while addressing today’s issues of prejudice.
Bull Creek is supposed to be a place welcome to shifters and humans alike who want to start a new life. Unfortunately, the Alpha assigned to ensure a successful community has not been doing his job.
In Draven Falls, Dimitri Everest has had it with his father’s heavy handed ways, including forced marriages and he’s planning on relocating. That’s when the Paranormal Council that founded Bull Creek, hears of his plans and offers Dimitri the position of Alpha. He just didn’t expect an all out war with the local Coyote pack and it will take the whole town to help, if they will.
I’ve read the Destined Mates series which takes place after this book and now am wondering if the Destined Mates series will be retitled as part of the Bull Creek Chronicles series.

I was HOOKED!!! This was a wonderful beginning to the series and a sort of prequel to Destined Mates. I read the Destined Mates series which takes place after this book and was wondering how Dimitri ended up in Bull Creek. What happened before his arrival? This book left me wanting more…I did not want it to end. The author had a way of drawing me into the story, the detail made me feel as though I was in the story.
There was a twist I did not see coming and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
‘Always an adventure with you.'(Josh says to Dimitri) ‘I wouldn’t have it any other way. Life would be so boring otherwise.'”
What an adventure it was. Dimitri, our hero, is ready to move out from his father’s fate him and at such an opportune time. Bull Creek needs a new alpha! Gives him something to set a goal to, instead of leaving blind in no particular direction. This is a prequel and there are a lot of characters to follow, but outside of that, it is a great read. I wouldn’t label this as a paranormal romance as that is not the main focus of this one. The rest of the series falls into that category. This is a great back story to Dimitri as we only saw a developed alpha in the original first book “Magic’s Mate”(also a great book)
“Family stood by you, defended and supported you; they had your back when the world turned against you.”
Dimitri wants the town to be a huge family because, on at least the surface, that is what it seems like. They finally stand up to the bully, Bane. Sad case if you ask me but at what cost? Great story, with a little adventure. Another great read from Mr. Cox
I really enjoyed this story. It isn’t long, but it does pack a lot into the pages. From family issues, to friendship, to stepping out on your own, Dimitri has to discover what he is really made of. It also sets the future of not only this series, but the “Destined Mate’s” series well. I now know some of the answers I had to questions stemming from my reading of Magic’s Mate, and a little more about some of the people in the town. The Destined Mates really showcase some characters while briefly mentioning others. It seems like this series will flesh out some of those other character’s main stories.
Compared to the Destined Mate’s series, this book has less sexy time, but more information. I like the subtle differences between this series and the next, even though it has the same voice and overall cadence. Which obviously it would since it is set in the same world, and is by the same author. One thing this book that caused me to pause was the question about alphas. I never thought about it before, but what happens when a female goes from one alpha to being mated to what could be another alpha. Who is her alpha? Who does she acknowledge as her leader? I guess for whatever reason it hasn’t come up in other books or if it has, I didn’t pay close enough attention. Well if you had a question about that, this book will lead you to some answers.
This first book was incredible .. Getting a more in depth view of the characters I absolutely love from the Destined Mates series from their beginnings in Bull Creek.. Exciting, emotional, and of course HOT and not just the weather this story had it all… I am so excited to see what comes next..
Exciting and Intense
This was a great addition to the rest of the Bull Creek books from this author. In true fashion the author keeps you in the seat of your pants from the first turn of the page to the last. There are many dynamics in the story that keep you interested in what is going on. We have brewing love and action which makes for a very exciting story. Dimitri will have his hands full getting this town to where it needs to be, but it will take the whole town to help. You cannot help but be drawn into the story, patiently waiting to see what will happen in the end.
Until Next Time… Tabi
Alpha Rising tells the story of how Dimitri came to Bull Creek and a bit about its founding. Alpha Rising explores the nature of an Alpha and what exactly a good alpha is supposed to be. This story reads a little like a prequel as it leaves you wanting more.
