I’m a thirty-nine year old single mother to a sweet little blond seven year old girl. An ER nurse just barely scraping by, working sixty-plus hours a week to make ends meet. I’m no stranger to ugly sights, but I keep all that locked away in a tiny dark little box where it’ll never affect my baby girl.
I wouldn’t even classify what happened as meeting him, but it was enough, apparently, to warrant … apparently, to warrant my involvement in a mess far beyond anything I could even imagine.
What happened? I came home late one night after a hellish shift in the ER, ready for a glass of wine and some mindless TV before bed. Instead, I found a man in my kitchen, using my sewing kit to suture a glancing gunshot wound to his ribcage. Being a nurse, I couldn’t help taking over. He said nothing, refused to even hear my name. The moment he was sewed up, he made for the door. He told me knowing nothing was safest for me—and he said this in a quiet, accented voice that only made me curious to know more about him.
He vanished into the night as silently and mysteriously as he appeared, and that was that.
Or, it should have been.
Only, I woke up in the back of a helicopter, bound and gagged. Simply for meeting him. For seeing his face—hearing his voice.
He rescued me, but that was only the beginning.

Chemistry. Combat. Conclusion.
Cain’s downfall is the BEST way to wrap this series up and bring it home.
How can I pick a favorite A1S hero? I’ve loved them ALL. Including the women they’ve been paired with.
But there’s something special about the last one. Anselm. The Ghost with a mysterious past. The Ghost with a soul. And I absolutely LOVED him.
While it breaks my heart that this series has come to an end, it’s a series that has been such a good ride. I’ve enjoyed and devoured every book. Thank you, Wilders, for writing such an amazing series. A series that made you feel as if you were watching an action movie.
So much intensity and action! I loved Anselm and Selah’s story. All the characters have been interesting in this series. But I think the best one is Story!
Anselm is book #6 and the conclusion of the Alpha One Security series. This is the only book that I have read in the series and I loved it! It can be read as a standalone but I have a feeling I will be going back and reading the series.
“I am an anomaly: I have never existed.”
The Alpha One men are part of a private security company, aptly named: Alpha One Security. The best of the best. They put the A in alpha! The toughest and deadliest men full of hot hot sexiness. From what I could see each one has their own unique quality about them.
I loved the way Jasinda Wilder wrote the main characters Anselm and Selah. Anselm is so raw and masculine. He is multi-talented with weapons and speaks many languages. He is a hunter who is now being the hunted. His life has not been easy but his journey has led him to Selah.
“Spy, assassin, sniper, commando, ghost.”
And Selah! What an AMAZING and uplifting heroine! I loved everything about her! The destruction that life has thrown her way has made her the incredible woman that Anselm meets and needs, imperfections and all! I love the way she is described as having plump lips, breasts that swayed, curves and intelligence. She is strong and ferocious and yet a healer, a nurse, with compassion and a mom to Story.
“She was a home I’d never known. A lover I’d never met.”
An enjoyable and sexy read filled with action, adventure and emotional moments. A definite 1 click!

Love this story, loved this whole series. Original characters, great stories. Good job!
*4.5 stars*
Stellar romantic suspense…
I LOVED Anselm and Selah! Selah’s daughter and the entire A1S crew made this a series finale to remember…
Anselm was always this shadowy figure, hovering in the background, pulling off the impossible. Seeing him up close and personal as he interacted with Selah and (even more) her daughter, tore off that façade with a bang! And, of course, both sides ended up being freakin’ fantastic in their own way…
Selah was a woman who survived such awful things. Her perspective, her humanity, came from all that she’d seen and endured. That awful history, though, gave her perspective and insight that made her bond with her daughter even more poignant. Her fierceness, her protectiveness, that now included Anselm, was true love at its finest…
Emotional, suspenseful, this was a thrilling and heart-tugging end to this series. LOVED it!

I love the men if A1S and Anselm’s story did not disappoint. When the hunted becomes the hunter all bets are off. When Alselem brings trouble to Selah’s door he dies what he has to in order to protect her and her daughter, even fall in love. There is passion, friendship and intrigue woven throughout.
What an amazing story. So good that it is hard to put down until you drink every word up. What an intense, action packed HOT book to read. So unique and movie like. Loved the characters, loved the outcome. Crazy wicked in between.
Fabulous wrapup of a wonderful series.
Highly recommended.
Anselm: Alpha One Security Book 6
By Jasinda Wilder
Main Characters: Anselm and Selah
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
4 1/2 out of 5 stars
This is the 6th book in this series and only the 1st one I have read. I enjoyed the book with its twists and turns and suspense. I understand that he spoke with an accent but it just seemed a little forced to me. I always have a hard time reading books with characters with odd names. I find myself wanting to call them by something I don’t stumble over. (My personal idiosyncrasy) I absolutely loved all the characters in the book and wished I had read the 1st five of them; it would make the story mean even more to understand all about the other guys in this book. I would wholeheartedly recommend not only reading this book but also reading the other 5. This is a contemporary romance with a HEA ending.
