I have to start by apologizing to Renee Rose, I was not even remotely interested in reading a “bully” romance. But silly me forgot I haven’t read a bad Renee Rose book! Now I have to go back and buy Alpha Bully cause I want more of the back story that I know will be found there.
Bo is like an old soul, or maybe he’s had too much happen in his young life, but he is more mature than his older brother. Sloane’s fake it till you make it attitude and self awareness of her previous social standing make for an interesting read. These two together are pure reader gold to me. I love their interactions, the build of their relationship and their story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review and a recommendation to buy this book.
I have to confess that I’m generally not one for bully stories. At least, that’s what I thought. Maybe it’s because it’s a Renee Rose story that I found myself digging the story and laughing at Sloane’s predicament. Well. One of them. Bo, to be exact. Likes: Similar to the first book in this series, I really liked the AlphaHole—he’s the right mix of cocky, sexy, and a desire to do the right thing, which is good because Sloane is in some serious problems. The scenes between Bo and Sloane are quite electrifying, they’re chemistry is so hot. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out the actual story plot and the series background of Wolf Ridge. All mixed together to make for an exciting and entertaining story. Renee Rose’s Alpha Knight is book 2 in her Wolf Ridge High bully series.
Gone in Sixty Seconds meets Teen Wolf. This book is stuffed to the margins with big angsty emotions just as I’d expect with a young/new adult title. For every setback they face, the world is ending. However, I suppose for the trouble Bo and Sloane are in, it almost is the end of the world. It is classic Renee Rose at her finest. It’s not exactly the same vibe as the previous book in the series, though. This book is fairly light on the bully aspect between our main couple, which is just fine by me. I adored Bo. The alpha protector instinct is strong in this one, making him utterly swoon-worthy. My heart hurt for the situation Sloane landed in, but bright heavens, this girl comes across as too stupid to live several times. Her chemistry with Bo is off the charts and that makes for some scorching hot encounter scenes. I think I’m starting to fall in love with Wolf Ridge High and I can’t wait to read more about it.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
Most of the relationship between Bo and Sloane was one sided, with Bo doing anything and everything possible to help her while she non stop kept him in the dark and off and on sabotaged him! Every guy should have such a girlfriend , right???? Not the best girlfriend ( or even close), but the heart doesn’t have a brain! I wanted Sloane to have faith in Bo and their connection, sadly Bo had trusted her when he shouldn’t.
Holy wow this is sooo good Sloane and Bo are explosive and so hot I loved their connection and banter he does not want to like her at all and believe me he lives up to his Alpha-hole status he is one hot wolf. My favorite is he doesn’t give her a choice in any situation love loved it.
Loads of twists and how it’s gonna go down theres danger everywhere these two kids had to grow up fast and your crossing your fingers they will make it out.
I loved this book, couldn’t put it down! Literally binge read this in 4 or 5 hours. I tried to stop, it was the middle of the middle of the night but Legs and Muscles wouldnt let go. I LOVE Gone in Sixty Seconds and I could see this being Randall and Sara’s (Memphis and Sways) meet cute lol I’m also a sucker for nicknames. Sloane is in over her head for consequences she doesnt deserve. Bo is oppressed by all the alphas in his life and really has no power. Very frustrating for them both. They work it out. Aunt Jennifer is the hero tho lol

Enjoyed the story. Sloane’s father got mixed up with the wrong people and now that he is dead they are coming after her and her family if she does not return their property. While trying to find out what she is up to, Bo feels an attraction to her and from their things heat up. Bo realizes Sloane is his mate and will do anything to keep her safe. Eventually things work out but not before Bo gets shot, Sloane is kidnapped and flown across the country and sold. The story is full of action, both dangerous and sexual. This is a well written story that is both interesting and entertaining. I would recommend it as a great read.
I’m loving the Wolf Ridge High series, especially the alpha-hole wolf boys and already looking forward to the next. This one features Sloane McCormick trying to protect herself from the mafia because of her father’s past criminal dealings. Bo Fenton’s brother, Winslow, was helping her fence stolen cars; he was shot by the cops but escaped. Bo knows Sloane has something to do with all this, so he is sticking to her like ‘white on rice’ and wants to find out all her secrets. There is so much action, danger, suspense, amusement and sexiness to be had in this riveting story. This book was very well written, and the character development was strong. This one kept me reading from page one to the end and what an ending it was – I absolutely loved the finale. I received an ARC and voluntarily left an honest review.
This book is full of teen angst with hormones running rampant, the scramble to find their place in the hierarchy of the social strata of high school, the pressure of living up to the expectations of the adults and dealing with their education. In addition, the story has plenty of drama, hot sexy scenes, laughs, and adult situations that will keep the older readers entertained and fully engaged in the characters.
Bo is everything you would expect from a young adult alpha wolf. He is protective, cocky, assertive, emotional and hormonal (and horny). His protective instincts and insistence on helping Sloane definitely earn him the title of Alpha Knight.
Sloane is a young woman thrown into an impossible situation because of the sins of her father. She is proud and defiant, protective of the small family she has left, assertive and self reliant. When Bo forces her to accept his help, she tries everything to make him stay away. Is it because she doesn’t want anyone to get hurt or is it because she is protecting herself from anyone getting too close to hurt her?
This book features characters from the other Bad Boy Alpha stories and while it is not necessary to have read those books, this story will be much more enjoyable if you have. Besides, Renee Rose and Lee Savino write some amazing books!
Downloaded from BookFunnel. I received this book free from the author for my honest review. Since I rely heavily on reviews to make decisions about purchases, I will never lie or over-exaggerate my opinion. There is nothing worse than seeing a bunch of 5 star reviews and realizing the book is full of errors or just plain bad and not worth my hard earned money!
We’re back with the alpha-hole crowd.
This time it’s Ben, the footballer. To keep his brother and himself out of trouble with the police and his pack, he glues himself to an ex-glam-princess turned car thief.
Turns out they both are way different then they expected each other to be from their first impression.
Of course things go sideways and they have to scramble and rely on each other to … Ah, no..- You’ve got to read this!
Short, sweet, angsty, wolfy, fun to read!
As much as I love this author’s writing, I guess I’m not into teen angst as this book didn’t do it for me. It was a steamy read although not as hot as other books by Ms Rose. Maybe because of its intended audience? I got a bit frustrated with Sloane’s stubbornness but I liked Bo’s uncertain alpha-ness. Only ok for me.
I received a copy from Booksprout. This is my unbiased review.
I’m going to have to start paying more attention to Book descriptions. YA, NA, or teenage angst books are really not my thing.
I do have to say that this book about Sloane and Bo is engaging. The shifter aspect is always entertaining. The mafia part left me with some questions.
Bo and Sloane had great chemistry. There is action, a bit of suspense, and more teenage angst than I want to read about in a book. Bo and Sloane end up with their HFN, and without wiping her mind.
I would give this book 3.5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book received from Booksprout.
Oh this one is goooo-ooood! Part of the Wolf Ridge High – a spin off from the Bad Boy Alphas, this can be read as a stand-alone, but you definitely don’t want to miss out on the other crackers from this series. Bo is the perfect blend of bad boy and hero whilst Sloane is a wonderfully gutsy heroine – together their heat is off the charts and I just loved the dialogue and their banter. Always love the appearance of old favourite characters from previous books too. Excellent writing, kept me hooked to very end and desperate for more in the series – if you like a bit of teenage angst wrapped up in smouldering heat and dominant alphas this ones for you, not one to be missed!
