USA Today bestselling author Renee Rose delivers on this intense new adult shifter bully romance.
more
More of a story about a son and daughter getting abused by their alcoholic father when he finds out that their new neighbor is the one that was hired to replace him after he was fired. The only way that they can escape his brutality is to bully the neighbor and her daughter. This new series looks interesting, will see how it evolves.
This book is literally the best shifter book I have ever read. So much of the time shifter books can get corny or try too hard to be scary or different, but this book is flawlessly different in that it takes on a story that is interesting in an of itself (in being a book about a bully and the kid being bullied ending up together,) and then adding in the shifter aspect to it. The shifter aspect is also added in the book in ways that actually make a lot of sense and adds to the story instead of just being a random factor in a story that would be no different without that aspect. This all helps the book be a amazing read! If I could give this book 10/5 I would! A huge recommendation from me 🙂
I love bully romances. I love high school drama. I love hot shifters. I loved Alpha Bully! Wolf Ridge High is full of shifters, one football hero aka Alpha-hole and his little pink hot nerd. Lets not forget Renee Rose’s sexy “speciality” a little spanking . This book did not disappoint.
Renee has entered a new genre, and it is Bully Romance, but with a twist, and OMG it is fantastic. Everyone seems to be hitting the Bully scene with the New Adult twist, but Renee brought in an unusual twist with werewolves, and I couldn’t put this book down.
Alpha Bully is a story not only about kids becoming adults and having to deal with everything that comes with that, but also the whole PNR thing and everything that comes with that. Cole is the alpha male in the school. The football player and the one that everyone follows. But when the new girl comes to the school- the human- he makes sure everyone makes her feel unwelcomed.
Bailey is a strong character that has no idea why the kids are treating her like a fungus. All she knows is Cole is an a$$, and everyone seems to follow his lead. But when these two start to finally talk and find out that they are two missing pieces of the same puzzle, things might work out.
I couldn’t put this story down; I was up until almost 2 a.m. reading this book! I can’t wait to see where she goes next.
I love a good enemies to lovers romance. Bully romances, when done right, can be good books too. But this one totally blows any other one I have read out of the water! That is one thing about this author. If you like her other books and are still on the fence about picking this one up. Then tip on over to the just read it side! Because you will not regret how bully romance is portrayed in this book!
I seriously LOVED Bailey. Her character may have seemed goodie 2 shoes. But she has a lot more going on in her life, with a bunch of problems she has to work thru.
I also really liked Cole. He may have been a bully but he also ends up being super protective and a really good guy. Over all I highly recommend!
Alpha bully
This book was amazing
I love shifter genre so this story was well written.
I liked how Bailey’s & Cole character’s
We’re introduce in this story.
I couldn’t put this book down until the end that how good this story will captivate you. In a way that u will be rooting for these characters.
Finally I would recommend this story
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy and my opinion are my own.
First of all i love shifter books, and I love books about alpha bullies as well. And this one i knew that I was not going to like Cole, he was a total a-hole…lol
Bailey just moved in next door to Cole and his family. However she didn’t understand why no one liked her, why she was being ostrasized by everyone. Until she learned that her mother ‘stole’ her next door neighbour’s job. And even though she is hurt by the fact that Cole and his friends are making her life hell, she also can’t deny that there is a part of him that she can’t help being attracted to.
Cole really didn’t like Bailey, besides the fact that her mother stole his father’s job, she was a human. But that’s what he would like everyone to believe. He really can’t deny how his body reacts to her, everytime she is near him. She is funny, spunky and sweet and he had to stay away from her.
So even though I liked the storyline, what I didn’t like was the fact that these kids are in high school and the things they were doing was more of a mature type of genre (if you know what i mean) I dont mind the intimate moments, the sex or anything. I just felt like for the dominating, spanking, etc in the book I would have prefered if they were a bit older. That was my only issue with the book. (I hope I explained this properly) This is totally my issue with this story and I would totally recommend this book, if you love shifter romances as I know that everyone experiences a book in a different way. I will definitely read the next book in this series though
I wasnt sure about this one as the word ‘bully’ tends to turn my stomach but I’ve read everything else this author has written so putting aside my distaste for Bullys I gave it ago!
Well needless to say it was awesome – exactly what I would expect from Renee Rose – brilliantly well written characters wrapped up in an amazingly compelling storyline – oh and needless to say some sizzling sexy scenes!
Highly recommended!
I usually dont read teen books but Renee Rose is a master of writing Alpha, domineering books with kink. So it was a no brainer when i read this arc. And let me tel you that once more this author has delivered a very hot sexy and stunning book that will have fans one clicking as soon as it hits the stores.
Bailey and her mother have moved to Wolf Ridge, and although abailey is new t o the school, everone treats her like she is nothing. But the biggest culprit is her neighbour Cole, he is a bully. And its his mission to make Bailey miserable. But what Cole really wants is Bailey herself and its not until he rescues her after school that they start becoming friends, but being with a human is definately not allowed.
Lovers of Renee Rose will definately enjoy this book. Its a book that only 18 years and over can read, it contains spanking and delicious sexy scenes.
A thought goes through Bailey’s mind as she and Cole start to get hot and steamy “this is beyond advanced placement sex. This is graduate level.” That maturity of care shows throughout their relationship – from the first moment as school starts, until the last realization that being alpha doesn’t mean bullying your partner. Conflict, strife, arrogance and surrender will all have their time before the story ends.

WHAT HAS REALLY WORKED FOR ME
Addictiveness: 5/5 This was a fast-paced, squirm-in-the-chair, can’t-let-the-kindle-go type of book. Wow! I loved it! Couldn’t stop reading it! As addictive as chocolate and ice cream together!
Character: hero 5/5, heroine 5/5, secondary characters 5/5, growth 5/5, real 5/5 Very complex characters with so much depth that was impossible not to love, connect and understand. So much anger and pain here, I felt for them, I hurt with them!
Cole was an amazing hero/antihero. I do love a bad boy! He had a lot of anger and was hurting a lot. He didn’t want to save her, he wanted to punished her. He wanted to own her, so he could destroy her. Amid all his anger, when the time came he showed his caring and loving. He was loyal to a fault, even though a jerk. He was so young, at the same time so mature. His personal growth was beautiful.
Bailey was a wonderful heroine. She was just trying to survive all the road blocks life has already given her. She was in pain, trying to rebuilt. Being the new kid is never easy, but she could never imagined that it would be so hard. She was in a sort of limbo and Cole helped bring out her warrior self.
Many interesting secondary characters, I would love to see Rayne flourishing.
These characters were best friends worthy!!!
Cover: art 5/5, title 5/5, color-font 5/5, buy 5/5 I’m obsessed with book covers. I love to find snippets of the stories within the art. This cover is great! The boy/man looks a bit angry, a bit dark, very fitting for Cole. I can see his gym bag on his shoulders and his hand closed in sort of a fist. I love the play with lights, with one side of his face in a semi-shadow and the other part highlighted. The colors and font worked perfectly. I love the black and white with only a dash of red. The title is very catching. It also hints that is a paranormal, shifter story with the little wolf and the word alpha as part of the title. I would easily buy this book by its cover, without needing to read the blurb!
Freshness: 5/5 This book is definitely one-of-a-kind!!! I have never read a teen shifter taking the first steps into his Dominant personality before. This felt so new and unique! I’m a fan of the author and I would never imagine her venturing into new adult territory (this is not a YA read even though they are in high school). As fresh as a cold bottle of water in the middle of the desert!
Plot: believable 5/5, conflict 5/5, dialogue 5/5, ending 5/5, enjoyment 5/5, opening 5/5, pace 5/5, setting 5/5, subplots 5/5, twists 5/5 Amazing opening and superb ending. Completely believable plot with dialogues written by a wordsmith. A fast-paced tale filled with angst and some interesting subplots. I’ve loved the setting, I’ve enjoyed the twists and I’ve hurt with the conflict. Highest level of satisfaction!!!
Ms. Rose created a small town vibe to this paranormal world. It seemed so mundane, but in reality was the perfect background for a very convoluted plot. There were no loopholes and it was very clean written with no typo mistakes.
Romance: believable 5/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 5/5, steam 5/5 It was kinky, unexpected, wild, hot and sweet. Together they were explosive, their chemistry was high and their intensity was over the roof. They broke and mended each other. The description was on-point and the development of the relationship grew in a perfect rhythm. It never felt rushed or unbelievable.
Writing Style: I’m a fan of Ms. Rose and her writing. But I had never imagined her writing New Adult and I was pleasantly blown away. This was so much more! Very intuitive and delicate even though it had her stamp of BDSM and Dominance/submissiveness. Splendid!!!
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
I know I don’t believe in perfection and I think there is always room for improvement; I usually like to pick into small details, so I can be through and help better others readers; but I’m completely out of ideas here.
I could maybe guess that the next book of this series will probably be Bo’s, and I just haven’t seen that much of him to be that interested. In fact, I’m greedy and would love more from Bailey and Cole. This is my ONE complain here. (It could all be in my head, because I don’t really know what is coming next)
MY THOUGHTS
Reading is not a formula and this one just made me feel! It gave me high school bully, but different; shifter romance, but distinct; D/s, but diverse. It was easy to connect with characters that in reality had nothing to do with me personally. I’ve ended the book invested in their future and hoping for more, lots more.
35/35 STARS – 5 STARS (between 33.5 stars and 35 stars)

Would I recommend? It is a must for everyone that loves paranormal and isn’t afraid of kinky!!!
Would I re-read this book/series? I’m certain I will every time a new book comes out and I have to embark into this journey again.
Would I read more from the author? One of my favorites!
You MAY read this because you a fan of the author; you SHOULD read this because you like paranormal romance; you MUST read to be awe and shocked!!!
“She’s complex but clear. Broken but strong. So much more courageous than I’ll ever be.
I wanted to break her, but in the end, she broke me.”
By Cole
Renee Rose has created a spinoff from a series that she wrote with Lee Savino. This one is a bully romance, and a new adult world too. It still involves shifters and falling in love.
This time around, we have Cole, who is pretty much the boss of the school. His dad lost his job and Bailey’s mom has it now. So he has banned the entire school from talking to her or to be her friend. That means she’s really just iced out, except for one person, who isn’t much better off herself. Bailey is stuck in a friendless state and is in a weird place because of it, because she had moved into a new town. One that is run by shifters, not that she knows that.
I got mad at Cole because he counted Bailey and her mother as his enemies even though it wasn’t really their fault that anything happened. I mean, the only person to blame here is his dad, but with the way that his dad treats him and his younger sister, it’s no surprise that Cole blames Bailey.
I really do like Bailey because she has so much strength and courage in her. She makes some really adult choices and I think that she did it really well.
I’m wondering “how do I put into words what I just went through?” I spent the first half of the book not really sure if I was going to be able to get past the ‘bully’ aspect. I don’t like bullies. Especially in a young or new adult setting, they take me back to memories I’d prefer to leave buried. But the story and writing are so compelling I couldn’t stop reading once I started. This book took me to places I wouldn’t have gone willingly if I’d been paying attention to the warning signs – it pushed me so far outside of my comfort zone. I’m sitting here looking at the blinking cursor and realizing I haven’t quite recovered from the book yet and I don’t know if I will. The reason behind that? For every chink in her armor that Cole exploited, Bailey pulled a brick from his defenses. I can fully love this book and not hate myself for it because Cole is well and truly humbled by the end. We see him grow and change throughout the story. And he is made greater for it. Bailey isn’t spared from learning lessons either. And it’s pretty fantastic watching her discover her personal power. Will I read more bully romance in the future? Maybe. Will I read more from this author? Abso-F-ing-lutely!
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
“Alpha Bully” is the first in a new series for Renee Rose called Wolf Ridge High and we get to meet the up and coming pack members of Alpha Green’s wolf pack as they navigate the halls and expectations of high school. When we meet Bailey Sanchez, she’s immersed in the politics and cliques of high school as she’s ostracized from almost everyone because of her mother. When the lead alpha hole makes it his quest to see her fall, instead we see a strong female human rising above all of it and not only winning their respect but eventually healing some old wounds. Likes: While it’s been far too many years since I’ve been in high school, I did enjoy Ms. Rose’s portrayal of the different aspects of school life – from sports and cheer to academics to navigating the halls and finding places to hide at lunch (it’s a very real thing for some students). I liked Cole as a character. He is definitely an alpha hole, but he also has a level of integrity and firm lines he won’t cross. Given what Bailey is up against, she’s an equally strong character with her own set of hurdles (being human) that make her someone you’d want to cheer for. Dislikes: Generally, I’m not one to enjoy stories about bullies, but again, Ms. Rose did a great job depicting the evolutions of Cole’s character from troublesome teen to honorable young man.
This is definitely one of those “it gets better after you read more” books. Even saying that, there wasn’t really anything spectacular about it. We have the typical heroine and asshole guy who eventually fall in love. I thought we would get something different since there was a paranormal spin on it, but not really.
The reason I’m giving this 3 stars is because I’m a sucker for smut and the scenes here quite steamy.
Alpha Bully by Renee Rose is the First book in the Wolf Ridge High Series. This is the story of Cole Muchmore and Bailey Sanchez.
Bailey has just transferred to Wolf Ridge High to finish out her school year. But she quickly becomes the punching bag of the school. Cole is the start quarterback of the school and a alpha male of his group. Cole blames Bailey for her what her mother has done to his family…so he has revenge in mind now that she is at his school. Cole has set in motion to make her life terrible but what he hasn’t counted on are the feelings he is struggling with. Feelings of being drawn to her and sensing her emotions. Baily is somewhat of a nerd who has Hispanic heritage so she thinks that she is being bulled and shunned because of that. Bailey is attracted to Cole but doesn’t understand his distaste for her. Although Cole first chapters where of him being a total but hole to Bailey things did start to change when he started to understand his feelings and couldn’t fight them anymore.
This was a hot steam page turner for me.
An OUTSTANDING first and TOTAL MUST-READ paranormal New Adult ROMANCE!
Sensuously alluring prose, so descriptive this reader felt a part of every action, thought, and touch. Perhaps it is the characters, so well-developed and realistic despite their paranormal abilities, that I know I taught their doppelgangers. Or is it the compelling complexities of the action-packed plot that drew me into this story so deeply, I had to finish it in one sitting? Perhaps it was the combination of all of these things which left me totally sunburned and dehydrated because real life faded, and every breath I took pulled me deeper into the amazing world author Renee Rose’s has created for ALPHA BULLY. While I am unashamedly a fan of most everything Renee Rose has authored or co-authored, her foray into the trope of a new adult (NA) paranormal was a delightful surprise and left me hoping that ALPHA BULLY will be the first of many novels set in Wolf Ridge. The strength of her heroine, Bailey, and the depth of the change that love brought to Cole was so well told, my focus was total and my grief quite real when the story ended. Kudos and a shout-out go to Renee Rose for taking the risk. ALPHA BULLY, the result is an OUTSTANDING romance which makes the lives of Wolf Ridge’s paranormal community seem common and realistic. I voluntarily read an advanced copy of ALPHA BULLY, and this is my voluntary and honest 5+STAR review. ALPHA BULLY is a phenomenal story, with amazing characters, and enough STEAM that only those 18 years and older need apply. Seriously, get your copy of ALPHA BULLY today! Happy pages!
Wow! I was not sure how I was going to like this book, due to the name, but I could not put it down. I wanted to know what happened next. How they were going to be in the end. There was this attraction between them, even though they wanted to hate the other one they couldn’t stay away from each other. Cole blames her for his dad losing his job and her mom ending up with the job. But in the end people need to take responsibility in their own actions. So, Cole being the Alpha Bully of the school, has everyone not talk to her. She is alone in this new high school, with her own issues to deal with. She ends up in a situation that Cole walks in on and ends up protection her. She is ashamed, so she runs. He goes after her, to let her know if she wants to press charges he will be there for her. She is already a loner at the school, so she doesn’t want people to think things of her, so she doesn’t press charges. They start secretly meeting, while everyone else thinks he hates her. But they start falling for each other, even though Cole is a wolf shifter and it is against shifter rules to be with a human. Cole ends up in a situation, where he says he was using her to get back for his dad. He does this thinking he is protecting her, but it gets back to her. She wants nothing to do with him, and he realizes he is in love with her and miserable without her. Will they get back together with everyone knowing about them?
The story is a page turner from page one! It is filled with suspense, romance, exciting sex scenes, fast paced, the supernatural shifters and lots of caring .
This story takes place in High School and deals with the hormones, peer pressure, the hierarchy of students which are difficult to cope with and the students in this story deal with so much more drama.
Bailey is human with a secret and has just enrolled in Wolf Ridge H.S. due to her mother’s new job. They moved into the house across the street from Cole, an Alpha Bully, a wolf shifter who is the most popular Senior and he has told every student to shun her, not only because she’s human but he believes Bailey’s mom’s is the reason that his dad lost his job. Bailey is alone but I love her strength and that she will NOT let them get her down!! As, the story unfolds, Cole and Bailey find they are attracted to each other, the chemistry between them is sizzling and his care of her is beautiful. Cole has a problem because it is forbidden for a shifter to be with a human and tell them that they exist. Therefore, Bailey is often left confused about his behavior and why he wouldn’t tell others about them. Will they get back together with everyone knowing about them? Yes, that’s Renee Rose, always keeping us in suspense.
She is able to show us the characters undergoing change, as they struggle with their fate and from the beginning to the end, the story takes us on a journey filled with twists, turns, the unexpected and betrayal. Our emotions are rocked, sends chills down your spine and keeps you on edge throughout the story! This book is an example of how Renee Rose takes real life situations to create believable and interesting characters. She is an amazing and accomplished writer to create this well written story with characters of depth and unique personalities.
A few surprise bullies I didn’t expect! I thought Bailey had a good handle on her and Cole’s relationship, but she dipped when controversy arose and wouldn’t let him even explain his side! WTH!! Cole stepped up and went the extra mile- integrity- kudos!! Grand gestures and resolution lead to a hfn! I highly recommend this read.
