New Steamy contemporary romance from New York Times Bestselling Author JS CooperI just wanted to have some fun…It all started when I moved into my new apartment in Brooklyn and met my neighbor, Olivia. We became fast friends and so when she had to go out of town on an emergency work trip, I agreed to give her brother her keys so he could look after her dog. And then I met him. Her brother was … Her brother was Carter Stevens and he was sex on legs. He was a banker by day and a musician by night; arrogant, handsome, with the most tantalizing smile I’d ever seen. When he invited me to his show, I couldn’t say no.
He wasn’t looking for a relationship…
The night of the show we stumbled back to my place and had fun I can only blush thinking about. I’d never had a one-night stand before, but one night soon led to two, which led to three. Carter was exciting and mysterious, but he was a total playboy. He made it clear that this was some no strings attached fun.
But fate had other plans for us…
I thought we’d been careful, but I guess there was that one time that we weren’t. And now, I’m pregnant and Carter Stevens and I have to figure out what to do next because one thing we both know for sure is that the baby is coming in nine months and we have no idea what to do next.

I really enjoyed this book. Lilas neighbor goes out of town and her brother Carter comes to stay to take care of her dog. Carter and Lila are attracted to each other. But Carter doesn’t do relationships. I laughed throughout the book. And liked the storyline. I wouldn’t really say that it ended in a cliffhanger. Because you could read it as a stand-alone. But there is a second book that will continue on with Carter and Lilas story. I can’t wait to read it.
Along Came Baby by J.S. Cooper. I thought this book was entertaining. The author does a good job keeping you vested in the story and outcomes. This book is filled with a good mix of drama, personal conflicts, and passion. I would recommend this book and author to others. Mixed feelings
Carter is an unmitigated jerk. Lila is her “own person” and continues to see her boss and friend Dante both at work and to hang out with for drinks. She isn’t interested in a serious relationship with Carter; however, he proposes marriage. Is he being honest with himself and Lila as to the underlying motivation for such a serious move? A really interesting story; however, it just ends abruptly.

A one night stand that leads to a multi-night stand and then eventually into forever. Carter and Lila are hot right out of the gate. Lila is a lawyer who’s looking to have some fun, and Carter is a Wall Street man by day and a smooth-talking musician by night. He’s exactly what Lila is looking for in the fun category! They both have issues to work out and communication skills to work on, but they will find a way to work it out. Take a chance on this book; it’s worth the read!
The book is a good romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry.

This was such an enjoyable read. Both characters appeared to be earnest and the way their relationship developed was very organic. A very believable and entertaining story! I can’t wait to read what happens to them next!

This is an entertaining story with strong characters in Lila and Carter. The author brings humor and romance with this insta love/lust read. Their chemistry is sizzling hot from their first night together. It’s well written ,moves fluidly and I enjoyed reading.

I liked this book and am giving it 5 stars but the main male character was really annoying to me. I know, it’s just a story written by an author and it’s a tribute to the author that the character has got under my skin so much, but oh, my, god there were times as a woman I wanted to knock him out!!!!!!
The book, as with all J.S. Cooper books, is very well written, with excellent details showing planning and research. The two main characters gel immediately and create a strange bond with the reader. The supporting cast are few but well placed.
I recommend the book for your summer reading list, it will be great on the beach and I can’t wait to read the next in the series to see what comes next xx

Lila is a hard working attorney who meets her neighbor’s brother, Carter, when he temporarily moves next door. Carter, 35, works on Wall Street but also plays in a band and is sexy, good looking and charming. Lila was warned that Carter doesn’t want the responsibility of a girlfriend or a relationship but they hook up anyway. She starts to fall for him and he becomes very bossy and jealous when he realizes she is special. He leaves his job to concentrate on his music career and then Lila realizes she is pregnant. How will they handle the news that they will be parents? Do they have a relationship that can last? Will they be able to manage his touring with the band and her career as well as a baby?
I give this book 4.5 stars. It was a well written story that was very enjoyable to read. Carter was not always a very like able character but he seemed to get better the more he was around Lila and matured but his jealousy nearly ruined their relationship. I can’t wait to read the next book about this couple.

This is the first book in the Along Came series and book 1 of Carter and Lila’s story. Carter is the older brother of Lila’s friend and neighbor, Danielle. Carter is pet sitting for Danielle when she has to go away for a month long business trip. When Carter and Lila meet, it’s an instant attraction. Neither is looking for a relationship. Just some steamy fun between the sheets. So they both embark on a month long one night stand in which Lila ends up getting pregnant.
I liked the book, but didn’t love it. On one hand I was rooting for them, but I couldn’t help but observe some unhealthy relationship aspects of their “non-relationship.” He’s a jealous type and Lila finds that she has to hide her friendship with a coworker and her feelings from him. They have a lot to learn about relationships and I hope that the second book explores that aspect.
Overall, the book is well written.
P.S. this book does not end on a cliffhanger.

The story line was good, the character work was terrific and the book had a smooth flow to it. This was a great start to a series and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Lila and Carter meet when he has to pick up keys to his sisters apartment to take care of it and her dog, Frosty while she is in England for work. Lila while she thought Carter was hot was annoyed that he was late to get the keys and Frosty which made her late for work but he came with breakfast and she immediately found him to be good looking. After that initial greeting the chemistry between the two is hot and even though it’s supposed to be no stings hook up it doesn’t exactly turn out that way. Really quick read, enjoyed the characters and look forward to book 2.

This is Lila and Carter’s story and it will draw you into a whirlwind of emotion. Two people who have always focused on themselves suddenly have someone else to focus on. Drama and more drama. They’re both somewhat shallow and into friends with benefits without responsibility. Amazing how a little one on the way changes things. I read an arc copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Carter asked Lila to come and see him play. Carter asked Lila to go out for a drink after his show. Within a month of the time they spent together she would wind up being pregnant. Her friend Danielle asked her to take care of her cat then her brother Carter would come the rest of the time. Carter asks Lila if she would come to watch him play. Lila wound going to the club to see Carter then wound up hooking up. He went out with his friend and runs into Lila sitting next to a guy with another couple. He couldn’t stand it he went over to talk to her and she invited him to dinner. Needless to say after one unprotected hookup Lila finds out she is pregnant. Carter finds out that he and his band have a chance of a lifetime but he has to go away for two months on tour. Meanwhile Carter thinks Lila and Dante are dating behind his back when he sees an Instagram picture. Will Carter and Lila work things out or is this the end of their relationship

Tender romance
Good simple romance, very well written and hot, with characters for whom I expected more conflicts because of their temperament and the clarity of their situation: one night and that’s it. The story then evolves more tenderly.
Lila is a lawyer and must keep the dog of her neighbor until the arrival of her brother Carter, a playboy who as soon as he arrives seeks to seduce her. What should have been only an night repeats itself although Lila knows that he is not looking for stability and that Carter affirms it loud and clear while behaving like a jealous boyfriend, denying his feelings.

Along Came Baby was another great read by J.S. Cooper. Lily met her friend Olivia when she moved into the apartment next to Olivia’s. They became friends fast and Lily agreed to meet with Olivia’s brother to give him her house keys to take care of her dog. Carter is her brother and Lily is attracted to him. He is a musician who invites her to his show. They both aren’t looking for a relationship but they can’t fight the attraction. They were always careful except one time that led her to getting pregnant. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by J.S. Cooper.
This was a fun story. You’ve got the hot fun loving guy who happens to play music hooking up with the smart straight laced beauty who decides she just wants to have some fun. They have a one night stand that turns into many night stands that turns into oops, so much more lol. I loved how fun they were together, and how even though he kept saying keeping it casual, he was having way more feelings than he was used to. And he didn’t know what to do lol. I very much enjoyed this., I highly recommend
