Great book.
I have read several of her books and love them all
This was a great book. It is well written with characters that will pull you in.
It was refreshingly unlike the other copy cat plots. Really enjoyed it
I love it! Totally worth it an evening to get myself immersed in the beautiful story.
Thank you for writing it.
Good plot development with various twists to keep the reader’s interest, hard to put the book down.
It had the kitchen sink. The two story lines was okay, but bringing in the third and fourth one was too much. I’d have broken down into a sobbing howling heap. Straight up too much stress. And Kara just takes it and is everyone’s rock. There is no way I’d have been in the office, I wouldn’t have made it out of bed. How dare you show someone everything they could ever want. That’s just mean.
Actually this is a review of the first book “Aloha, Texas.” Nick is a former Navy diver who is enjoying his dive business in Hawaii. When he gets a call from the snobbish lawyer Kara to return to dry midland-Texas, he has his concerns. His ex-girlfriend is dying and wants to speak to him. Suddenly he’s a single father who’s falling for the lawyer. Chris Keniston holds the reader’s interest with witty, emotional conversation and enough suspense to make sure you don’t put the book down. I’m ready to jump into the next book in the series.
A tear-jerker but enjoyable. The story centers on a man who discovers he has a five year old son. Well-paced with strong characters.
great short read
Very enjoyable.
Entertaining
A light little romance. easy reading adter a tough day. Good for escape.
Okay. Emotional at times, but generally to formula.
This book has it all, from the freedom of living in Hawaii and doing what you love every day, to a young boy’s loss of his beloved mother to cancer. You must read this tale of loss and love and the formation of family from the pieces.
Read it twice
The book dealt with some very difficult and sad issues in a sensitive way. I cried a lot, I’m a weeper when I read, but my heart was truly touched by the characters and their situations and that is the hallmark of a good writer. I stayed up until a ridiculous hour to finish the book and immediately bought the next in the series. Prepare to have your emotions twisted so maybe not a book to read on a flight if you are a sober like me and don’t like to cause a scene!!! I loved all the characters and their bravery, I really do recommend this book but bring your hanky or tissues. Maybe you won’t be touched think I’m a sad sap, but you’ve been warned, the author knows how to spin a tale.
A beautiful story of a mother who carries the story of her son’s father with love and affection while never telling his father he has a child. That is until she’s dying, writes her will and shares the story with her lawyer. Hints through events make this heartwarming story complete the mystery.
I loved this book. I cried got excited was scared at times. Beautiful story
