Another great book by this author and I loved everything about it. Really enjoyed the characters and just couldn’t put down at all or get enough of this story.
Claudia has done it yet again. Her stories suck me in from the beginning and I always hate for the last page to come. This story is a frenemies to lovers. I recommend this story it has a easy flow of words. Was never difficult to understand. Characters were likable and relatable.
Almost Perfect by Claudia Burgoa was a fun and very enjoyable story. We get to know two great characters Alex and Hannah who are not very fond of each other, but we can feel the chemistry that they seem to want to fight. They have some really great bantering that keeps them both on their toes and us readers waiting to see what waits for them around the next corner. This was a story with some laughs, drama and just maybe a whole lot of love. I absolutely loved the writing you just felt like you knew these two and I couldn’t help but fall for them both. I highly recommend this great book.
This book was absolutely amazing I couldn’t put it down I loved it so much
Almost Perfect by Claudia Burgoa, is Just perfect. Alex Spearman, the youngest Spearman brother , who we met in Jason, Jackson and June’s books, and Hannah Hades-Bell who is Junes best friend , can best be described as frenemies. Alex, a Gold Medal snowboarder and skier, suffered a horrible car accident that almost ended his life, and did end his career. While recouperating, the woman he was going to ask to marry him, leaves him not wanting to deal with his injuries. Through sheer determination and great doctors, Alex recovers and walks again. He goes about building a business based upon the sport he loves, custom made snowboards and equipment. His sister June is his manger and pulicist, and he’s is always in demand. Hannah is a college professor of Literature, who has a well known love hate relationship with the first day of class. As she is picking up her mandatory cookies, candy and wine on the way home , she runs into Alex a her favorite wine shop. This is no accident. Alex know about her loathing of the first day from his sister, and is there to help?!?
They are really fun together. they are clearly attracted but don’t want to be. They are both snarky, but they can’t stay away. When they give into the attraction, it doesn’t end well for Hannah. What you have is two people dealing with deep hurt, Hannah from a horrible childhood, and Alex dealing with the loss of the sport he loves, the rejection of the woman he thought loved him, and feeling the he never quite measured up to his super successful siblings. You will laugh, you will become choked up, but you will absolutely fall in love with both of these characters. They each must travel their own voyage of discovery in order to come out whole. I loved this book!
Dang, I’m not sure how to even begin to put into words how much I enjoyed this book. I fell in love with Hannah & Alex right away and that love continued to grow as the story progressed. Humorous and dramatic…..couldn’t put it down once I started.

Claudia has graced us with another five-star wordy creation, Almost Perfect. Claudia has written excellent characters, Hannah and Alex, and has given her readers a range of emotions to go with it.
Hannah and Alex are two very different people yet both fear the same thing, commitment. Alex is a once professional snowboarder but due to an accident, he no longer can snowboard. Alex feels like a part of him is missing since he cannot do what he loves but there is one thing he craves, Hannah. Hannah and Alex seem to have this love-hate relationship going on but cannot stop thinking about each other.
I loved that Almost Perfect was a slow burn romance. Both Alex and Hannah had things to work on before they could be together. I found that great because it helped them develop a much deeper connection. However, that does not mean that their romance is all sunshine because it is anything but. Alex really has to woo Hannah and Hannah is not the easiest to woo.
Almost Perfect is definitely worth the one click.
This is a great story. I devoured this book.
Alex and Hannah’s story was an interesting one. Hannah is Alex’s sister’s best friend and off limits. However, Alex and Hannah have been sleeping together for a while. When things change for them is where things get interesting.
This book brings back one of my favorite families…The Hades family. Hannah is part of the family who I absolutely fell in love with so to see her grown up and getting her story, it meant a lot to me as a reader. Alex stole my heart as he proved to Hannah that he was so much more than a hook up. He wanted more with her and only her.
Ms. Burgoa does a wonderful job tying so many of her worlds together. I loved getting a touch of the Deckers as well as the Hades clan and of course the Spearmans. This was a heartwarming story as these two learned what was important in their lives and how to go after it. It was a good read.
This two aren’t perfect people but they are perfect for each other.
Hannah and Alex had their own issues and their past heavily influence their life.
They needed to deal with first. Their relationship grow slowly. It took time to realize that real thing is just in front of them.
Loved reading this, definitely recommended.
This is my review on ARC
Another can’t put it down book by Claudia! As the youngest of the Spearman boys, Alex faced different challenges than his brothers. When he and Hannah found each other, they helped each other heal from all they had faced in their lives. This book, of course, lead me to the stories of Hannah’s family.
Okay – let me start by saying that I can never get enough of a enemies to lover story and this one did not disappoint. The chemistry and angst between the two characters and the story line had all my emotions on guard and pulled on. I absolutely loved this story
What I loved most about the story was all the life lessons and soul searching that happened. Resonated on a level with me that as so needed and I only wish I could do the same soul searching
The rundown we get about firsts as we start out reading Hannah’s story was fairly on point in my book. Where is Hannah? What happened on her 1st day of classes? Where does her family live? Who is Alex? What do we learn about him? This story was so funny with both Hannah and Alex’s families, including their non-biological families. Such a cute read! Enjoy it!

I was pulled into this story from the beginning. Alex and Hannah are fun together. These two fight, tease, love, connect, and hurt each other so much. They don’t realize everything until it is almost too late, but no matter what they think, they complete each other even if it is just as friends.
I teared up multiple times and felt for the characters. They have gone through so much in their lives and deserve a break and someone to help lift them up. There are so many perfect moments in this story and I hope you enjoy them too.
You won’t be sorry for reading this. I would say that you could read this without reading the other books in the series, but you really should read them just fire the sake of reading them and learning about those characters.
This book has Deckers reappearing, plus multiple other characters from standalones and this series.
This was yet another great read by Claudia Burgoa. It was engaging, exciting and had me addicted from the very first page. Alex and Hannah are the perfect couple and I thoroughly enjoyed their story. This was the perfect read to spend a rainy and grey miserable day and certainly brought a bit of sunshine to my afternoon. Loved it!!
Claudia Burgoa has gives us an almost perfect story in Almost Perfect. I fell in love with the main characters. Hannah who is an intelligent woman with a sassy, sometimes snarky attitude and was a rock star in her teenage years.
Alex and Hannah’s love story isn’t quite like you’d imagine. There’s history between them that made Hannah reticent of getting into a relationship with him.
Alex was once that man, but he’s changed and now Hannah is all he wants. He’s ready to be the man she wants too, but more importantly, he’s ready to be the man she needs. If you’re looking for a book that’s slightly out of the norm, then grab this today and find out what exactly it is that makes this story, Almost Perfect.
Alex and Hannah…sigh. I just love them, absolutely love them. This book was my first book by Claudia Burgoa and I absolutely loved it. I had been in a book slump for a few days and this was exactly what I needed to pull me out of it. Raw, real, emotional, tugs at your heart strings and it made me just want to give both Alex and Hannah each, a big hug. While I absolutely loved the storyline, I also truly appreciated the realistic nature of the story and the life advice. This is the first book I have read that blends all aspects together so well and that actually gave me advice for how to heal and move on.
This book was absolutely magnificent and even though it pulled at my heart strings, the final product and the ending was outstanding. An obvious 5 star read that will leave you crying with happy tears!
4.5 Stars!
What a beautiful love story! Alex and Hannah are two broken people. Alex is an former olympian athlete but an accident turns his life upside down. Hannah is a former musician who left her former life for a reprieve. Initially when Alex and Hannah meet they cannot stand each other but their paths continue to cross. They have an undeniable chemistry and pull to each other that is hard for either to ignore. I loved how Alex was this stand up good guy. There were so many swoon worthy moments in this book! Hannah was a tough nut to crack, she was caring and nurturing but she was not willingly letting anyone in. Alex and Hannah had many ups in downs along the way. They built a beautiful friendship that was front in center in this book and I loved that. I loved how the relationship grew over time. Both Alex and Hannah grew as people in order to make their relationship work. Well done Claudia on such a great book! If you are looking for a beautifully written enemies to lovers love story, this is your book!
Loved Alex and Hannah. Their chemistry is everything, but it always seems to be a push and pull thing. Alex is charming and witty. Always had something goofy to say. These Spearman brothers have all taken a piece of my heart. Such a great story.
the story between Hannah and Alex .
they started off on the wrong foot.
