Debbie Macomber dazzles in a contemporary update of Snow White. Despite the picturesque view, it’s a kiss that turns an unlikely pair into a fairy-tale romance. A mountain cabin. A moonlit night. And not a stepmother around to spoil the moment. For a burnt-out grad student looking for a little fun, this camp is paradise . . . well, almost. With seven mischievous girls in her cabin, Sherry White … cabin, Sherry White barely has time to whistle while she works. Then there’s the camp director, who may be the most gorgeous man Sherry’s ever met—and the most serious too. Even after they share a perfect kiss under the stars, Sherry wonders whether they’ll ever see eye to eye.
When Jeff Roarke founded his camp for gifted children, he had a vision of rigorous education and self-improvement. Now Sherry is about to ruin everything with her insistence that kids need to let loose and play. Sherry’s minions are driving him crazy, but the worst part is, Jeff’s beginning to think that resistance is futile. Because Sherry is messing with his agenda, his head . . . and his heart.

Sherry White gets a job at a summer camp for gifted children. She is a counselor in a cabin of seven 9-10 year old girls. The director of the camp Jeff Roarke) who was a gifted student himself believes in running a tight camp. Sherry thinks the girls need to have fun along with the academic challenges. Then there is the problem of the obvious physical attraction they have for each other. The only other “slight” problem is the false references Sherry used on her application. Roarke cannot tolerate dishonesty in any form. This is a delightful read.
Fun read.
Such a fun book and great characters!
I love Debby Macomber’s books. I would recommend reading this.
This a good modern take on snow white. It is lighthearted and funny. If you like a clean romance with a touch of humor you can’t miss this book
I had always heard of Debbie Macomber but never read her before. It wasn’t terrible, but with all the great books in the world I won’t be spending more time or money on this author.
A quick fun read! Makes you believe in good people
Feel good book.
People debbie doesn’t write any bad books…get real…finished it in a day…
Anything Debbie MaComber writes is worth reading.
Normally I can read through one of Debbie’s books in a quick period. This book was one of her early ones and for some reason, I had a bit of a harder time getting into it. Despite that, it is a good story and I have been enjoying reading it.
Easy read though predictable. It was cute
This is typical McComber clean easy read fun as usual interesting good characters
Love Debbie’s books….this was a wonderful read. I loved it
The story was cute and I liked the different teaching methods. It made for a nice contrast to the story. It was enjoyable and sweet.
Very enjoyable
Sherry is attempting to hide for the summer as a counselor at Camp Gitchee Gumee where the director is a very strict educationalist for the highly intelligent youngsters coming for instruction. Sherry’s 7 girls are a mixture that is interesting and challenging and Sherry seems to be constantly irritating the director but she finds him very attractive. Conflict? yes – ending? Read and see
It was easy reading. Not much depth, but something to read to pass the day.
Great Read!
Cute story. Good read.
