Goodness gracious great balls of fire!!! Jill Shalvis heated up the pages in Almost Just Friends. I am not talking about sexually even though there was some of that. She rocked the boat on this one. I am talking about sibling relationships. I am talking about a parent and child relationships. I am talking about guardian and charges. I am talking drama, so much drama.

Secrets aren’t just held by her siblings although theirs are doozies. Piper thinks the new guy has come home to check on his dad after his brother died in a car accident. Cam lets Piper believe that is why he is in Wildstone. Cam, Gavin, and Secrets pile up. The longer you wait the harder it is survive the fallout.
After giving up her dreams to help raise her siblings Piper Manning is ready to live her life on her own terms, and travel her own path for the first time ever. But first she just has to fix up her grandparents old lake house, prepare it to sale and then she can start her new journey.
But just as she is ready to take that next step mother nature, her siblings, and a sexy stranger come blowing into her world and turn it upside down…
Amongst the pages of Almost Just Friends readers will find a story that will tug on their heartstrings and keep them enthralled from start to finish! Between the family drama, secrets, and the blossoming romance between Piper and Camden there was a lot to keep my nose buried between the pages of this one. I really enjoyed this newest addition to the series, the characters came with a real feel factor that made them and their issues tangible and relatable. I couldn’t help but get wrapped up in their lives and feel their pain and rejoice in their triumphs. There is a lot love about this one, it comes with everything you’d want in a romance… it’s heavy on heart and the ‘good stuff’ that’ll leave the toes curled! Highly recommend!!
