ALMOST JAMIE is book 1 of the Jet City Kilt series. One lonely doctor. One sexy guy in a kilt. No, not that Jamie…but almost.Fresh from London, Blair Edwards is Seattle’s newest cancer doctor. She’s been burned by love before, but that isn’t stopping her from looking for the kind of passion she sees in Jamie, the dashing Highland laird of a wildly popular TV series.Austin MacDougall is a charming … series.
Austin MacDougall is a charming cosplaying Seattle millionaire. After a little help from his matchmaker, he’s a reformed geek who looks hot in a kilt. So hot, in fact, that he’s often mistaken for the actor who plays Jamie. But that still hasn’t found him love.
A chance meeting at Jet City Comicon and a twist forces them to play lookalikes for TV’s most popular Scottish Highlander and his lady.
But playing lovers isn’t the same thing as being lovers. Right?
Don’t tell them that.

Seemed slow
I liked the book and the writing was good. But it’s a cliffhanger! Hate that!
Cute, fresh romance story with more than a superficial plot. Does have a series so ending is not satisfactory as a stand alone, but still a fun read!
I enjoyed the perspective of the main characters role-playing as favorite characters in a popular movie.
I love the concept since I’m obsessed with Outlander…..but beware it’s a serial you have to buy the next 3 books to finish. I’m not fond of that so I stopped after this one.
The entire series is great.
Fun romp at Comicom, but story continues in book 2. I look forward to finishing the trilogy, but I prefer a conclusion in each book.
Yes, if you are a fan of Outlander, you will like this series. It is a quick easy read but as others have said they are all cliff hangers, very short and then you have to buy the next book.
Would have rated higher except for the fact that this is not a stand alone book. There is no definitive ending. You have to buy 3 more books to get the whole story. Not happening.
The characters are both sweet and heartwarming. The type of story that you would hope would finish with one book. This story however has three more books.
A great book with romance, humor and and great friendships. Hard to put down
I really enjoyed book 1, hated the cliff-hanger ending, but had to know where it went & bought the following 3 books in the series. Book 1 was free, but the remaining books were a bit high priced IMO at $4.99 each. I normally don’t spend that much for books. This was definitely a unique story line, with humor & tears, & a keep you guessing plot. Blair & Austin’s chemistry is fantastic together, actually reading about them falling in love, as well from book 1 thru book 4. I stayed up way to late, back to back nights, to finish the series because I couldn’t put it down. Great reading!
Loved this book and had to read all four in the series. All great.
This was a great book but you will need to read the full set of four books in sequence to get the complete story of Austin and Blair’s love story.
I enjoyed the story, but didn’t enjoy when it ended abruptly and I needed the next book in the series.
loved it except the fact that the story doesn’t end, it goes into the second installment.
Don’t start unless you plan to read the series. No real ending.
Loved it!!
Be prepared it’s a cliffhanger.
As an outlander fan, the Fangirl approach the the story was very funny as were the parallels. I had alot of fun reading it.
