ALMOST JAMIE is book 1 of the Jet City Kilt series. One lonely doctor. One sexy guy in a kilt. No, not that Jamie…but almost.Fresh from London, Blair Edwards is Seattle’s newest cancer doctor. She’s been burned by love before, but that isn’t stopping her from looking for the kind of passion she sees in Jamie, the dashing Highland laird of a wildly popular TV series.Austin MacDougall is a charming … series.
Austin MacDougall is a charming cosplaying Seattle millionaire. After a little help from his matchmaker, he’s a reformed geek who looks hot in a kilt. So hot, in fact, that he’s often mistaken for the actor who plays Jamie. But that still hasn’t found him love.
A chance meeting at Jet City Comicon and a twist forces them to play lookalikes for TV’s most popular Scottish Highlander and his lady.
But playing lovers isn’t the same thing as being lovers. Right?
Don’t tell them that.

Book ended with loose ties to entice you to read the next in the series. I like books that have good endings. Disappointing though the book was interesting.
A book with a cliffhanger, which left you wanting more. Can’t wait to read the next book.
a quick read, too bad a cliff hanger & you have to await vol. 2.
Did NOT like that it was just a portion of the story, but liked the premise a lot.
The reason I was disappointed with this book is not what you think. It’s very well written. However, know where was it listed that this book is part of a serial. That is the disappointing part.
A big fan of Outlander series thought the book was
Cliffhanger!!!
I really enjoyed this series of books. My reason for the low rating is that the entire series could have easily been combined into one book for a lot lower price. It seems that the author made this into four separate books for the sole purpose of being able to charge $15 after giving away the first for free. Realize that I bought all of the books and read them – so they were cute and funny, but I don’t think they were worth $15.
if you are an Outlander fan, and I can’t imagine anyone else reading this, if you aren’t, this is a fun read.
Thoroughly enjoyed it!
This is the kind of story I enjoy. There is actually a story not just sex scene. I like the characters. My husband is a red headed Scott who works with computers so I can see him as Jamie. I have been enjoying the series so much that I bought the next 2 books and am still reading the series. Something I very rarely do. Try it you might like it.
I hate reading books that continue the story in future books. I don’t mean like a series, but this book just abruptly stops.
Liked the book but disappointed you needed to keep buying more to learn how their lives played out.
This book had to be written after watching some of the YouTube interviews of the stars of Outlander tv series. It is loosely based on these persons and their screen persona. Not much new was added to the interviews, but speculation of what they might be like off screen. The main character appears to be a lookalike of the main star and this story is about his encounter with the stars and the woman lookalike.
Didn’t like the characters.
A cutie love story
I really liked the story – hated that it ends on a cliffhanger. I really dislike this trend to break a novel up into three or four novellas.
A new twist for fans of the outlander series. A totally different twist for fans of highlanders. Just a fun read. Very enjoyable & quick (too quick).
Hated the cliffhanger, but ended up buying the rest of the series to see how it ends.
This book recommendation popped up and I couldn’t resist. I love the Outlander books, and as a result have become an avid reader of historical fiction novels. Almost Jamie was such a fun read and some of the parallels between Outlander and the fictitious series were both subtle and amusing. I enjoyed this book so much that I went on to order the next 3 in the series. Unfortunately for me, I didn’t realize that the next up on my Kindle was actually the 4th book in this series so now I know how it ends! (But I’ve gone back to books 2 & 3 to fill in the blanks!) Loved the characters and it was fun to learn about Comicon.
