Not bad for one night, but I don’t realize that I’ve just gotten in over my head. He’s like a powerful drug flowing through my veins. One hit is never enough.

Just a little fun to keep … keep things interesting; that was the plan.

I’m willing to give whatever she needs for what I want. But what I want turns into a hunger that isn’t so easily satiated. And once I get a taste of this kitty, I can feast on her forever.

I was captivated from the beginning of the story to the end.
The author has given us characters we can care about. When Grant sees Alexandra across the room at his brother’s wedding, he wants her for a bit of fun. Alex is a little bit forward and is willing to have a one night stand with Grant, hoping it will help her get over her ex. She is not of the same “class” as Grant and his father tells him to get rid of her. Should a forty year old man really allow his father to dictate who he can or cannot have a relationship with?

I enjoyed every turn of the pages. The characters are well developed and engaging making for a smooth flowing storyline. With plenty of chemistry throughout the pages.

Allure, Grant Black’s story, is the third book in the Sons of Victor Black series. Grant is the oldest of the brothers and tends to take the low road for the sake of keeping the peace. He finds himself at Mitch’s wedding with no plus one. On his way to the bar, he notices a woman’s hypnotic moves entrancing him. Alexandra accompanied her bestie to Mitch and Blake’s wedding. Still trying to come to terms with the sudden end of her last relationship, she just needs a night of fun with no attachments to help her live a little. Grant and Alex find themselves getting much more than they bargained for. One weekend was not enough. They have several hurdles to jump over, the worst, Victor Black, who has made it known that he doesn’t like Alex.
I enjoyed Grant’s story. The writing was smooth and the pacing was appropriate. A few of the characters reminded me of some of my close friends who give the truth in love, despite the hurt you may feel from it. I enjoyed witnessing Grant and Alex become more. I liked the uncertainty and discomfort of Alex being thrust into a world that she didn’t feel she fit into. Even more, I liked watching her adapt and grow. I also like how Blake and Nicole were there as support for her. I was happy that Alex was a woman of color, representing our Hispanic sisters. I loved the back and forth from Spanish to English, which wasn’t hard to follow (I don’t speak or read Spanish). This book was much hotter and sexier than the others in this series. It is an easy read that will have you giving Victor Black the side-eye…and maybe a few choice words.
I received a free copy of this work from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.
This is a 5 star read
Allure was very bueno and caliente. I enjoyed every word of it. Cassie Verano really elevated this storyline from her other books and I really look forward to reading more from her.
