The Templetons have inherited a fortune but there’s a catch…Theo, the Marquis of Eastbrook, has the easiest of tasks. At least the rest of his family thinks so. Return to his entailed estate and remain there for two months. It should be simple… forgot his ward still resides there.
Lucy Jameson is all grown up. Very grown up. So much so that it is becoming distracting. Not only is she attractive but she’s determined to show him how much she’s been looking after his house. The indomitable Lucy can run a household with all the talent of a woman twice her age apparently.
Every moment around her is like torment—knowing he cannot, must not touch her.
These two months were going to be challenging enough and now they’ll be even harder knowing he’s attracted to his ward—a young woman who should definitely be off limits.

The four Templeton siblings’ grandfather has died & they stand to inherit a fortune but there’s a catch each has to complete a task.
Theo, the Marquis of Eastbrook, the eldest sibling has the easiest of tasks. At least the rest of his family thinks so. All he has to do is return to his entailed estate and remain there for two months & then host a ball. It should be simple but he has refused to set foot there since the death of his wife Julia. Theo will do what he must for his family. It’s just, well, he almost forgot his ward still resides there. Lucy Jameson is all grown up. So much so that it is becoming distracting. The indomitable Lucy can run a household with all the talent of a woman twice her age.
The final story & just as delightful as the other stories. Theo has been the rock of the family striving to wade out of the debt his late wife Julia racked up. Angel, Minerva & Seth have tried to economise but Theo feels it’s his job to revive the family’s fortune. Lucy always had a teenage crush on Theo but six years on her feelings haven’t change just deepened. The pair are attracted to each other & whilst they know it’s inappropriate for a guardian & ward to fall in love some things are meant to be. I loved how they skirted round each other but couldn’t keep apart. An engrossing read that I read in a sitting, well portrayed characters & a well paced story all added to the enjoyment
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
A wonderful conclusion to the series
This is a wonderfully written conclusion to what is a great series. The plot follows the emotional journey that the patriarch of the siblings had to navigate so as to achieve their goals. This story is a bit steamy towards the end.
they have inherited the fortune but there is a catch he has to step foot in his old home where he lived with his deceased wife. He thinks it is going to be easy but he has forgotten his ward who lives there. He soon finds himself falling for her. Can he keep his feeling hidden? Can it even work? See how they get on

I found this book to be a very enjoyable read with the well written storyline and the well rounded characters that kept me totally enthralled until the turn of the very last page!
Theo, the Marquess of Eastbrook, is drowning in both responsibility and the debt left over from his late wife’s extravagances. He is counting on the inheritance from his late grandfather to keep the estate afloat, even if he has to split it with his three siblings. But in order to receive the money, each sibling must complete a specific task within two months.
Theo’s task should be the simplest out of all of his siblings, but it’s still daunting for him: he must spend two months at Eastbrook Manor. Theo has nothing but bad memories left at his childhood home and had all but forgotten the young ward he left behind there. Except Lucy Jameson isn’t a girl anymore and Theo can’t help but notice, as much as he tries not to.
Lucy had a bit of a crush on her guardian when she was younger, but she can see he’s a different man now. She wants to get to know him again now that they’re on the same level and show him how much she loves the manor house and how well she manages it so he will allow her to stay and not marry her off. But as the two spend more time together Theo can’t think of marrying her off to anyone, except maybe himself.
This was another quick and enjoyable read for this delightful little series. I might’ve liked a bit more backstory about Theo’s wife and how much she hurt him, but that didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I thought this was a very sweet story, and I liked the relationship that developed between Theo and Lucy. However, the notion that a teenage girl of 14 would have been able to run a large estate basically by herself does not seem plausible, especially given her age, sex, and apparent lack of tutoring. Good characters, but this was a pretty big plot hole.

To be honest, the man on this cover looks like a villain, but that has nothing to do with how well this series is written. We finish this one off with the Marquess’s task and all he has to do is stay in his ancestral home for two months. Unfortunately, in the six years he’s been away, he has forgotten about his ward, Lucy. The Marquess tries to fight his attraction for her, but she is nothing like his wife and everything that he could want in the mistress of the manor and for himself. The climax in this book is surprising and makes you wonder why we are so afraid of expressing our true feelings, instead of going off on a tangent.
This is the fourth book in The Inheritance Clause series and Theo’s story. As we learned in the first three books Grandfather has passed and left some stipulations in his will. If each of the grandchildren want to get their inheritance they must complete a mission. Theo’s requirement is that he has to face his past and return to the estate he shared with his deceased wife. When he is at the estate he finds Lucy. Lucy was a child the last time Theo was there and now she is a woman and has been running everything at the estate. You definitely have to read the whole series to get the full effect of Grandpa’s will. I really liked the concept of the story and this book is a great conclusion to the series.
A sweetly thrilling emotional roller-coaster of a romantic journey filled with undeniable passion, family obligations and heartwarming moments. Was a great read from beginning to end and kept me glued to my tablet to the very end. Loved it!
This was good ending book to the series and it wrapped up all loose ends that finalized the Grandfather’s requirements in his will. I have enjoyed all of the siblings in the previous books and Theo, Marquis of Eastbrook did not disappoint me in the final book. He was a good and honorable man and was the only sibling who kept his task a secret; which was part of the terms of the will. He is tasked with returning to his country estate, which he hasn’t been back to since his wife’s excessive spending and then her death. Lucy is 19 yrs old, Theo’s ward that came to him when she was 13 yrs. old, and has stayed at the estate running it for the last 5 years. I loved both of the characters but was a little disappointed in the age difference. I highly recommend this book and series!
This completes Samantha Holts’ series on the Templeton siblings. Theo goes home to fulfill his love ask and comes upon a water nymph in the form of his forgotten ward Lucy. She he has grown into a woman he is attracted to and he doesn’t know what to do with that. Once again the author has done a great job of taking readers on a light hearted and fun journey with her story. Lucy and Theo dance around each other until they can no longer resist the feelings they have to each other. She also then brings all the siblings together to tie up all the loose ends and remind the readers of what each task was and how it was accomplished. Well done!

I have absolutely loved this series and this book is no exception! Theo has to return to his home which he hasn’t done since his wife’s death. He forgot Lucy was residing there. Though once he gets there he can’t seem but to notice her. What is going to happen over the course of two months? I voluntarily read an arc of this book.
This is book two in Snow and Blake’s duet. You do need to read book one first to get their complete story. This has been an intense, twisted, painful and even at times brutal roller coaster ride with these characters. Darkness, lies, betrayal, revenge, secrets, twists and danger are all blended into a very intriguing story line. These books contain content that may be too disturbing for some and full-blown triggers for others. So, be aware before reading. With this type of read you are well aware going in that you have to wait for the payoff. I waited and honestly, I was left with a feeling of dissatisfaction. My first problem was that as intense as the emotions between the main characters burned (and there is no denying that they were intense!). I could not feel any real buildup affection. This for me was so disappointing. Secondly, What is up with the ending? It seemed too open ended and abrupt at the same time. In the end I liked it but did not love it because I felt it fell short of its promised potential.
A fair end to a series. They say all good things must come to an end, well that is the case for this series. Book four was a little different then the others, but still a worthwhile read.

I was rather curious about the last Templetons sibling as except some hearsay about his late wife, I knew nothing about Theo, the Marquis Of Eastbrook ans head of the family.
As it is a novella, story is fast-paced with glimpses of from time to time interactions between the h and H.
I have not read a lot of ward-guardian stories, even if I confess I have a lot in my kindle. Here it seems they have quite an age gap.
I was mostly surprised Lucy was able to take charge of the household while she was just a slip of a girl of fourteen, I am still learning the habits and customs during these period of time, but if the Marques left his estate five years ago, should Lucy not have been sent to a board school instead to stay alone under the scrutiny of the staff?
After it was a sweet story of a very young woman finding love where she felt at home and a man able to see past his memories and create new ones.
This is the fourth book in the series but it is not necessary to read the others. The one consideration if you plan to read the others is to leave this one for last because it shares the outcomes of the other books. I liked Theo much more than I thought I would as we get to see him from the inside. I liked the first two books better but this is still a pleasurable read.

I spent a wonderful afternoon reading this delightful book and enjoyed it just as much as the other 3 books in the series. In the first 3 books, we see Seth, Angel and Minerva doing their part in completing their tasks in order to get their part of the inheritance left my their grandfather. This time it’s Theo’s turn and his task is to return to his family’s estate, Eastbrook Manor, and spend 2 months there. Easy peasy, right?
Theo hasn’t been to the estate in 5 years because of bad memories of having spent time there with his late wife who practically depleted all his money. In fact, he had completely forgotten that he had left their ward, Lucy, behind! Lucy is now 19 years old and has become a woman, which he can’t fail but notice!! She has practically been running the household in these last 5 years and never wants to leave it, she loves her home so much. She is worried that he has come back to marry her off and make her move away. She had a childhood crush on him years back but now that soon turns to love. They come together so sweetly and naturally, I thought it was quite beautiful.

Angel sneaked quietly into the room, hoping no one would notice how late she was as the lawyer shuffled through papers, looking nervous. Her deceased grandfather’s house would go to her mother – since grandfather had no sons. Then the reason for the lawyer’s sweating became clear. The grandchildren would inherit money but only if they fulfilled certain terms and within a period of two months. If they failed their tasks, the money would go to Mr. Hastings, a beast of a man who dishonored their cousin and ran off with a nursemaid! Everyone was outraged and felt he deserved absolutely nothing! It was a good incentive to complete the assigned tasks!
Theo, the Marquis of Eastbrook, eldest of the siblings receives his task. He is to return home to Eastbrook Manor, a place of bad memories and pain, the family’s ancestral home which he has avoided for 5 years since his wife Julia’s death. He loathed the place, despite its beauty. He is required to stay for two months. At the completion of this time period, he is to plan and host a ball in celebration of a successful completion of all the tasks required of each member of the family. In truth, he hopes his inheritance will bring the estate back from the near financial ruin caused by his wife before her death.
He decided to walk through the woods to the estate while his driver went on ahead. He had totally forgotten about Miss Lucy Jameson, his ward who still resided there. As he came out of the woods, he saw her emerge from the pond in a white slip of fabric that was wet and plastered to her body. This would be a very long two months living here!
Lucy, like others in the household staff, had assumed Theo was there to marry her off. She loved her home and didn’t want to leave it, even with the promise of a husband and new home of her own. She wanted to impress Theo with her care and efficient running of the manor house. Her organizational skills are exemplary. But as the two spend more time together and get to know each other, Theo’s mind is not set on marrying Lucy off to anyone else as he begins to want a life with her for himself.
This is such a wonderful series! Each has started out full of pre-conceived notions that would be completely turned around as each person grew and matured within the experiences provided to them. It was such a joy seeing how each character handled their challenge. Join in the fun of this wonderful story and see the wisdom of their grandfather in the tasks he set before his grandchildren to put them on the right path in life. I will truly miss this series and hope perhaps the author will give us follow-up stories on how each family member is faring now.
ALL’S FAIR IN LOVE AND DEBAUCHERY is the fourth book in the Inheritance Clause series. They will need to be read in the order of release.
The four Templeton siblings will each inherit a fortune, but they must each complete a designated task assigned by their late grandfather. The old man must have been very shrewd indeed, because each of them have been given tasks that suitably force them to embrace their lives. Theo’s task should have been the easiest – go and spend the two months assigned for the tasks at the family estate and plan a ball to celebrate his siblings’ success when it is complete – except that he had all but forgotten about the ward he had left behind. Little Lucy isn’t so little anymore!
Lucy is soft. Lucy is sweet. Lucy is determined to continue living in Eastbrook Manor. She loves her home their and has done a remarkable job of managing it in Theo’s absence. She does not want to be married off. Even better would be to claim the Duke she crushed on as a youth.
I loved the more innocent and playful feel to this story. It fit the spirit of Lucy. The relaxed and warm tones were the perfect ending to this series.

The fourth story in the Templeton inheritance series is about Theo, the oldest sibling and the Marquis of Eastbrook. His task is to go home to Eastbrook Manor, the family’s ancestral home. He must stay two months and plan and host a ball at to celebrate the successful completion of all the tasks. It has been over five years, but Theo will go back and complete his task. He hopes his inheritance will bring the estate back from the near financial ruin his wife caused before she died.
When Theo arrives at Eastbrook, he must become reacquainted with his ward, Lucy Jameson who has grown up to be an intelligent, beautiful young woman. She is outgoing, friendly, and happy. She knows and loves the estate and the house and never wants to leave. She has taken good care of the house and estate in his absence. As they spend time together, Theo fights his growing attraction to her. Lucy loves him and wishes he felt the same about her.
Their two months is up. Did they complete their tasks? Will Theo host a celebration ball or a consolation party? Which, if any, of the siblings found love? This book, this entire series, is engaging and heartwarming. The characters are great, different, but with one trait in common, devotion to family. This story is well-paced and easy to read, full of adventure, humor, and romance. The epilogue is just right to bring the series to a close. I enjoyed Theo’s story (and the others) and recommend the book and the series.
