All Your Perfects is a powerfully moving story about a broken couple whose future hinges on promises made in the past, reminding us that the enduring power of love is the ultimate saviour.

Fantastic! So real. My heart soared with the rightness of their love, broke with the traumas they endured, sympathized with their pain and avoidance, and broke all over again as they saw their marriage falling apart.
Graham is a very special man. And as wonderful as he is, he’s human.
Their love seemed so fated, so deep, that it didn’t seem possible to see it disintegrate. Yet, watching them suffer and not communicate; to protect themselves and one another from pain by avoidance, their love seemed as real as any. Love takes work and the energy these two had to put forth is so much more than many see in such a short time.
Graham. I can’t say enough about this amazing character. He sees so much and he’s a fixer by nature. His insight into their love, their pain, their hope, their actions, gutted me. If only we could all see things how Graham does. But even seeing what he did, he made mistakes. Big ones.
All Your Perfects was an audio read for me and I think the audio experience added so much depth and emotion.
Mistakes. Forgiveness. Declarations and reminders of love. Seeing not the flaws but All Your Perfects. This book is an experience. A beautiful, painful, hopeful, loving experience. An experience not to be missed.
Another unputdownable read by Colleen Hoover.
5 STARS!
Normally, I’m annoyed when communication between two people can easily (or not so easily) clear up misunderstandings. Yet, that’s part of the point to this particular story. The journey to revelations and understanding, mired in grief and devastation, was the beauty of this book wrapped up in a gorgeous love story that was heart wrenching while also heartwarming. Another amazing story by an author who rarely disappoints.
All Your Perfects is the story of a troubled marriage and the one promise that might be able to save it. Quinn and Graham meet under horrid circumstances. They find themselves in the hallway outside her fiancee’s apartment in which her fiancee is in the act of cheating with Graham’s girlfriend. As they wait for the cheaters to emerge, they commiserate over the Chinese food her fiancee ordered. It’s the same order he normally places for Quinn. The fortune contained in the cookie? “If you only shine light on your flaws, all your perfects will dim.”
Months later, Quinn finally gives in to her feelings and embarks upon a relationship with Graham. It is clear that they are meant to be together, But their struggle with infertility threatens the beautiful union they have formed.
Author Colleen Hoover approaches the subject with compassion and unflinching insight. As Quinn and Graham’s struggle continues, they become increasingly isolated and estranged from each other. Although the story is told from Quinn’s perspective, Hoover also credibly conveys the disappointment and frustration Graham experiences. The result is a heartbreaking story of two people who are so entrenched in their own sorrow that they are unable to reach to the one person in the world who can best understand their feelings — and lend unconditional support and comfort. It is not until their situation reaches a breaking point that they turn to the promise they made each other at the beginning of their marriage. Because within that promise lies the answer to the question they can no longer evade: Can their marriage survive? In order to remain together, they will have to accept disappointment, forgive each other, and accept that their future will be very different from the way they originally envisioned it.
Hoover’s ability to convey her deeply flawed characters’ emotional struggles and evoke empathy for them is simply mesmerizing in its depth and straight-forward honesty. Sans plot contrivances, Hoover pulls readers into the painful journey of Quinn and Graham, realistically depicting her characters’ individual descents into despair and inspiring readers to ponder their own reactions when life delivers disappointment. Hoover delivers a believable resolution to her tale that readers will find deeply satisfying. All Your Perfects is a nearly perfect story.
Thanks to NetGalley for an Advance Reader’s Copy of the book.
This book was amazing! Colleen Hoover’s best work to date.
An emotional roller coaster!
Brilliant!
Of course I really shouldn’t even be surprised at this point. It’s a COHO story.
A potent story beautifully told. What a magnificent way to shine light on this topic. I loved every page. Every word. Every minute spent reading this was a minute well spent.
The thing about hopes, dreams, plans or goals is that we set them at point A (the beginning) of our lives but who is to say that when we get to point B we can’t change our mind or our journey gets rerouted.
At the end of the road it’s happiness we want to find.
This story showed me that love matters but in a marriage it’s not the only thing that’s needed.
Don’t avoid a topic. Don’t avoid a hard conversation that needs to be had. In any relationship there will be 2 sides of a story even if we can only see one from our vision point. I loved it!
This is what I took from this read-
Let’s shine light in all our perfects
I love colleen hoover book. This book at first was slow starting. It was alot of one person thoughts. As the book progress about half way throught, it starting getting more interesting. You will definitely need some kleenx . I like a lot of talking in a book. So it make a little hard for me because I dont need too much detail.
Overall I think you will love the book.
It has been a while since I have picked up a Colleen Hoover book, not because I do not adore her writing, just my TBR has been crazy lately. But then I started hearing all these things about her latest release, All Your Perfects, and knew I had to squeeze this one in and I am so happy I did. This beautifully written emotional story about a marriage in trouble consumed me in so many ways.
Quinn and Graham love each other very much, that we always know as we read their story. But no marriage is ever perfect and the mistake and secrets of the last few years have finally caught up with them. Not to say their love was not true, it was so much more than just true. But life is messy and sometimes we forget what important and just let things go by is. Again, you have to fight for what you want!
This book touched my heart and soul. This could be anyone’s story. It was so real and heartfelt. Every word touched me. I cried while reading, and yet continued on. There are so many things that happen in this story, in this marriage, but this is life and I could not put this book down. This is a must read book and I cannot recommend it enough, but it is an emotional journey that will leave you drained, but worth every word read and every tear cried.
Happy reading!
Ack! This one made me leak some stupid water out of my eyeballs. Ugh stupid feelings. I think this is my second favorite Hoover book, Slammed is my all time favorite. That book made water come outta my peepers too. I was gushing about Graham to my husband on the way to the grocery store this afternoon. I was all, let me tell you about my new favorite man. Just sit there and nod while I tell you all the things that I love about him. I finished this book in the wee hours of the morning and I’m still thinking about it! I don’t know, I just really, really, really loved this one. I’m also really excited that she’s coming to Michigan tomorrow!! Ahhh!!! I’m going to try not to piddle myself in excitement!
Within the pages of this beautifully crafted book you will find an absorbing story line riddled with gut-wrenching emotion, blinding passion, and unimaginable loss. It gives you an honest glimpse into a relationship starting from the beginning when things are blissful; to the ugly moments when it’s hard to see things working out; to the moment where you wonder if it’s worth holding onto. Once I cracked the cover on this one, met these endearing characters, I just could not leave them until their journey was complete. They had me near tears one moment, and smiling the next; it was one heck of a roller-coaster ride, and I have to say I enjoyed every thrilling minute of it! Highly recommend, this once is certain to leave a dent in your heart, and a smile on your face!
Good study of a couple who love each other yet find their marriage slipping through their fingers.
A heart wrenching and beautiful tale. Quinn and Graham meet under unexpected circumstances and fall madly in love. But life decides to throw painful trials in their path. Their future rests on a small wooden box that contains promises from the past that can possibly heal their present. Colleen Hoover is a magician at drawing the reader into the emotions of her characters. This book is exceptional!
I always struggle with writing reviews for Colleen Hoover’s novels, I don’t feel that I have the ability to explain with words how her novels make me feel. Every book of hers makes me think, leaving a lasting impression with a story I can recall years after reading. All Your Perfects was such a heavy read for me, one that, despite the tears, I loved so much and I think it might leave the most lasting impression out of all of them. It’s an adult romance, featuring characters who are married that have weathered many storms together. Quinn and Graham have the kind of love you read about in fairytales, it’s beautiful and lasting, but their marriage is real and marred by imperfections. Those imperfections eat at them and in time the strength of their love is not enough to carry them, in All Your Perfects Quinn and Graham reflect on the love they once had and the love they share today.
“You say that like marriage is a Category 5 hurricane.” “Not all the time. But I definitely think there are Category 5 moments in every marriage.”
Quinn and Graham have an unconventional meet-cute story, but it’s the first drop of water on their blossoming romance. They’ve been together seven years, they know each other better than they know themselves, and yet they’re still struggling to keep their marriage afloat. Told in alternating timelines, Then and Now, All Your Perfects follows along with the two as they fall in love and fight for that love. The Then chapters give us so much background into who the two are as individuals, who they were in those first blissful days of dating and falling in love, but mixed in with those sweet chapters are difficult ones. We also see them as secrets pile, as regret and sorrow and hopelessness take over their home. Colleen Hoover tells a story about love, about marriage, about the strenuous times that we oftentimes cover up with shiny paper and a bright bow. What Quinn and Graham have is beautiful and strong, but we all know that love can’t carry a relationship alone.
“I promise to love you more when you hate me than when you love me.”
The difficulties Quinn and Graham face as a couple, as individuals, are real and painful. The chapters where they struggled, where the truth and the hurt bubbled out of them, were so challenging to read that I needed the Then chapters to break up the heavy. For me, it just might be the most relatable book I’ve ever read. I could put myself in their shoes and many times I connected parts of the story to my own. I also found it to be uplifting, though I admit I cried roughly the last 20% of the novel. There’s wisdom in the pages, the secret to their love is inspiring, the way they work so hard to overcome the hard is a testament to their faith in one another, and there’s a lot of power in the words that Colleen Hoover so carefully crafted.
“People can’t always control who their circumstances turn them into.”
All Your Perfects is an emotional tale about love, the kind of love you promise to another forever despite the Category 5s you may have to through. I loved the impassioned fight the two gave to save their love and I was so moved by the way they shared. Quinn and Graham are like real people for me now and as I read All Your Perfects my heart ached for them and hoped for them and wanted perfect for them. Of course, like all of Colleen Hoover’s book titles, this one has a background and the message about perfect was such a good one. I can’t make anyone read this book, but I recommend it one hundred percent. There’s magic in these pages, life changing, beautiful magic.
Wow! Colleen Hoover never fails to astonish me with her characters. This book was beautifully heart-wrenching.
I loved the Then and Now. Then made me so giddy and the Now made my heart hurt.
Graham just might be my new favorite Coho character! Seriously I loved him so so much. He made me swoon so hard sometimes and even with his mistake, I couldn’t help but love him. He fought so hard for his marriage and even in the mist of all their desperation it was beautiful.
I loved this book.
If I could give this book 10 stars, I think I would. I knew that this book was going to gut me and I was 100% correct. I didn’t know my emotions could handle so much angst, sadness, and love in such a short span of time. On each chapter, I was either super happy or extremely sad.
The writing just sucked me in from the beginning. How Colleen Hoover can create such a connection to the characters within such a short span of time is mind boggling. It is such a talent and gift she has.
Colleen Hoover did it again. This book was completely real, gut wrenching, raw, and romantic all in one swoop. Colleen created a story between Graham and Quinn from a past and present plot line. Graham and Quinn met in horrible circumstances when they find out their significant others are cheating on them with their respective partners. Fast forward 7 years and the story shows how such a “perfect” marriage can have its flaws.
This book was inspirational. I think every husband needs to read this book. It made me think very hard on my own marriage.
You definitely need your tissues while reading this book!
SPOILERS BELOW:
I know a lot of people are really mad at Graham about what happened. I was not happy about it either. With that said, I can understand how it happened. It shows how humans make mistakes and things get out of control for adults sometime. I don’t condone any sort of cheating but I can understand how something like that could happen.
Graham Wells & Quinn Whitley live in Connecticut. They met at one of the worst times in their lives, in the most awkward, unexpected way, not knowing their paths would later cross again. They are drawn to each other, and it’s like fate keeps bringing them together. They fall hard, and share a once in a lifetime, one of a kind special love. Then life happens and their future is derailed. They’ve been married for seven years, and their entire life has changed. They are two people who lost hope, and stopped talking about all the things that should never have been silenced. They kept feelings bottled up, and avoided communication. They’ve been broken for a while, and neither has a clue how to fix their relationship. They are lonely, damaged, and consumed by sadness. They can’t seem to break free from the cycle their in, and the strong foundation they once had continues to fall apart. The one thing that does remain is the love. Love was never their issue. Is their relationship beyond repair, or can they get back what they’ve lost, and find their way back to one another?
This story was unique, heartbreaking, and extremely emotional. It takes you from past to present in the life of two soulmates who are slowly slipping away from one another. I really enjoyed this book and didn’t want to put it down. The way this man loves his wife is breathtakingly beautiful. I just adored Graham! This book is about the importance of communication, making someone else your priority, and fighting for happiness, but most of all it’s about not giving up on love.
Raw, gut-wrenching, hopeful, captivating, beautiful. Quinn and Graham drew me into their journey. From the incredibly awkward way they initially meet, they find a way to handle one of the most horrible days of both of their lives with dignity and pride. To their actual first date where I felt like these two people were supposed to meet. They have a natural connection that allows them to be themselves and it seemed like this was the first time that either of them had found that in a relationship. The joy they find together leads to a beautiful marriage which becomes a journey of true love that must weather the storms to see how firm a foundation their marriage truly has. I am in awe of Quinn as she faces one of the toughest issues for a woman, the inability to get pregnant. Of course, over time this causes a strain on their marriage even as their love for each other doesn’t waver. But is love enough? There is an honesty to this journey that kept me enthralled and hoping that love will win in the end.
Kept my attention from first page to last. Wonderful story of true love and what can tear it apart. Loved it
Colleen Hoover always speaks to my soul and All Your Perfects exceeded my expectations. I don’t think I have enough words to express how amazing and extraordinary this book is. As I’m writing this review, my eyes are filled with tears because All Your Perfects is so powerful and I’m overwhelmed with emotion. This is one of the most honest and relatable books I’ve ever read. Ms. Hoover made sure that every single word and moment is relevant.
All Your Perfects is the story of Graham and Quinn and their profound issues that led to struggles in their marriage. It’s so emotional, real, raw and my heart broke for them. Graham and Quinn met in a unconventional way and Ms. Hoover does a fantastic job of demonstrating how their relationship developed, how they fell in love and their trials and tribulations throughout the years. They experience real life issues, romance, heartbreak, devastation and unconditional love.
I cannot stop thinking about All Your Perfects as it will resonate with me for quite sometime. I encourage everyone to read it and it’s without a doubt one of the BEST books I’ve read this year.
