Sookie is adjusting well to having someone living in the Stackhouse home with her since her grandmother’s passing. Amelia has a great habit of cleaning when she is nervous. The only problem is that Amelia does not get along with Claudine. Apparently witches and fairies do not mix.
Sookie is confronted by Pam; because of what it is she is doing to Eric. Sookie really doesn’t realize it, and is blinded by her hatred for what was wrongly done to her, that she is not able to see it from another’s perspective. Pam tells her to stop playing around with Eric’s feelings.
Reunited with Barry, the only other telepath she knows from Dallas, the pair sort of fall into their own, when they talk to one another without saying a word.
Because of the monumental and disastrous hate crime, Sookie promises that she will not work for the vamps ever again, but can she really do that now? Will she and Quinn be able to keep what’s left of their fragile relationship, even with the heartfelt and heroic act that Quinn does for Sookie? The Fellowship of the Sun are doing much more than pamphlets and preaching out against the walking dead. They are as bad as the KKK, when they try to make the vamps of the region, All Together Dead.
This book is one of a fantastic series. I could hardly stand to wait for each sequel. Lived it.
Love all Harris bookd
A friend and my oldest sister gave me Charlaine Harris, Sookie Stackhouse Series and I binge read them one after the other. They were fun to read and my friends and sister compared what we liked about the series.
I read this 5/2007
Love Sookie and Eric
Love, love, love this series & frankly all of this authors books, but hate, hate ,hate the tv series of true blood. The books were delightful & the tv series turned my stomach. Terrible mistake
Another great adventure in the world of Sookie Stackhouse, the beloved waitress who considers herself “handicapped” because she can read minds. That is, all minds except those of vampires. Vampires are attracted to her, and once again Sookie must deal with her feelings for the vampire Eric, Loads of fun!
After reading this book I was not disappointed in the story line, which could go in a direction that I didn’t expect. It was difficult putting this book down when needed.
Anything Sookie is awesome!
I read this book long before I started reading e-books.I love reading unusual story lines and this series will keep you turning pages and laughing or growling write along with the story.
Charlane Harris is always a pleasure to read. Sookie Stackhouse is always interesting.
Very good book like the series
This book is for fans of Sookie Stackhouse. It’s entertaining, outrageous and not believable but that’s part of the fun of reading it. Not for everyone, but if you like vampire and werewolf stories, you will like it. I personally think these books could offer so much more detail, and be so much better overall. The writer has talent and good story ideas, but the books are almost simplistic. I personally think she should get serious about her writing and go in-depth with her writing, such as Anne Rice does. Ms, Harris has a formula that works and sells books but she could be so much better!
I fell in love with this series long before the tv show was around. absolutely wonderful.
I had watched True Blood on HBO before reading the book so I probably spoiled the book for myself. Most of the time I like the book better than the movie but this wasn’t one of those times. Good book but I should have read it first.
Have read every book in this series and it’s fantastic! I love EVERY book, including this one.
I liked the entire series.
I love all of Charlaine Harris’s books.
These are fantastic books!! She is an amazing author and you fall in love with Sookie Stackhouse. They are the books in which Showtime’s True Blood series came from. I already read them long ago and own them. Worth Reading!! Plus make sure you watch the show too!
I didn’t think I would like these books but had read and liked every other book Charlaine Harris wrote, so I gave them a try. In the end, Harris writes well about people and relationships.
