What has she done?
When a night out meant to mend her broken heart lands Christian school teacher Alexandra Mills in hot water, figuring out whose bed she’s woken up in is the least of her concerns.
Alex is unmarried and pregnant, and now she may lose her job.
Max Buchanan has been Alex’s best friend for twenty years. As the town’s most eligible bachelor, a political figure and handsome … figure and handsome ladies’ man, she’s never seen him as anything more. But that’s about to change.
To keep his company afloat, Max needs to prove his playboy reputation is in the past. To keep her job, Alex needs a husband.
The solution is obvious—a marriage of convenience.
Now he just has to convince her.

Author Erin Bevan pulled out all the stops to write an excellent romantic tale. The plot is well-thought out and the characters are portayed in a way that makes them feel real with their feelings and insecurities.
There are moments that are heart wrenching and sad, even in the midst of hope and moving forward. And the ending is beautiful, and well deserved.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book.
Oh my goodness! I absolutely loved this book, one of my favorite tropes is friends to lovers and this book did that total justice.
Friends since they were little, Alex and Max are close and when Alex gets into a big problem, Max is there to help. But with that comes some muddy water with feelings coming into play that may have been pushed to the side.
I really did love this story and the journey it took. Very realistic and could see being in this story with them. Cant wait for more by this author!
All The Wrong Reasons: A Serendipity Falls Novel
by Erin Bevan
This is such a sweet romance. This is the first book I have read by this author and I’m glad I have a new one to add to my must read collection. This story is about Alex and Max who have been best friends for a very long time. They find that each of them seem to be in a predicament and their solution is to get married. Alex has found herself pregnant from a one night stand and her job may be in jeopardy. Max is a business owner running for a political office and he needs to fix his playboy reputation. I found myself rooting for these two because they both deserve love and happiness. This book was very well written, I was drawn in and loved the characters. I highly recommend this book.
All the Wrong Reasons by Erin Bevan is a great friend to romance story that flowed right off the page and into my heart. The characters are to die for Worts and faults and insecurities and all. This is an emotional read but also funny and a heartfelt read that I was unable to put down and had to read in one sitting. It had a bit of everything and the right mixture to draw you in and some. Erin has done a fantastic job and I look forward to reading more of her work.
All The Wrong Reasons is a small town romance of friends to lovers by Erin Bevan that is also an opening act of her new Serendipity Falls series. It is my first read by this writer and I can promise you, it will not be last. I love small town America and the stories that feel so close that you start thinking of packing up and moving into one yourself!
All The Wrong Reasons gives us Alexandra Mills, a Christian School teacher who gets pregnant after a one night stand, and Max Buchanan who is a local political figure and self-made businessman who needs to demonstrate that he has put his playboy ways behind him. As we can see, both of them seem to have a problem that seems almost too big to conquer except with one very simple solution – marriage of convenience … especially considering they have been friends for eeever and would do almost anything for a friend so now they are tested to their limits … add to this the way how the writer takes us into the heads of our two characters, the other small town quirky inhabitants and you will want to join us on this crazy ride!
Well Erin Bevan was a new author to me when I picked up All The Wrong Reasons, the first in her Serendipity Falls series, but I can assure you it will not be my last time reading her work! I absolutely loved this romance story and how well this book played out. This is one of those must read types of novels for me, I love a good friends’ turn to lovers’ novel and this is sure one of the best I have read this year. I
We find Alexandra Mills and Max Buchanan as the main characters of this novel and these two will make you fall in love with love again. Alex finds herself in a predicament when she is pregnant from a one night stand. The major catch comes when we find out that she is a Christian School teacher. This could mean that she would lose everything. Enters the ever lovely Max. Max is a political figure and needs to protect his image as well but wants to help out Alex. The two embark on the journey of a marriage of convenience and well the rest you will have to read for yourself. Will these two find the love they were not even looking for? How mess will their decisions make their lives? I can’t wait to see what else will come in this series and any other novels that Erin Bevan may have available now to read!
I have REALLY enjoyed this story! I quickly read it as I was drawn into the lives of these two characters. I worried for Max that he wasn’t going to get his dream. Then I was freaked out over Alexandra, her situation and all her worries. They each have a past. Not sure Alex can overcome Max’s past…trust becomes an issue. But their chemistry is easily felt coming off the pages! When they are together? Max is just so…so sexy!
I loved being inside Max’s head! The things he thinks verses what he says..especially about Alex. Max is definitely a dreamy character.
Overall I loved the story. The characters are fun yet have their own struggles. I enjoyed watching them grow and become orgasm friends.
Alex and Max – what a fantastic pair! I loved these characters and zoomed through this book. I love a good romcom and have a soft spot for friends to lovers(?) tropes. A marriage of convenience? Will best friends be more? I love the dynamic between this pair and watching their relationship grow. Extremely well written and a story I will gladly pick up to read again soon.
All The Wrong Reasons (Serendipity Falls Novel Book 1) by Erin Bevan. This is such a good book. Its the story of Christian School teacher Alexandra ( Alex) Mills and self made businessman Max Buchanan who have been friends since they were 7 years old. Max was poor and his parents dumped him at the fire station when he was a baby. He was adopted by a nice couple but the dad soon ran off leaving him with his mom. His mom has since died but Alex and Max remain the best of friends and have each others backs at all cost. Max is somewhat of a playboy and Alex is a good girl but when Alex makes a mistake and Max offers to fix it for her will she realize she really loves him or will she let her head mess it all up? Max has always wanted Alex but he never thought he was good enough now he is trying to prove to her he will do whatever it takes to have her! Sweet steamy romance!
I have read several of Erin Bevan’s books. All the Wrong Reasons and Tank are my two favorites. She has a way of hooking you from the very beginning and you don’t want to put the book down, you have to see what happens next. Just when you think you have it all figured out there is a twist. Erin also makes you feel that you are a bystander watching what is happening. In this book there were times when I wanted to cheer for Alex and times when I wanted to give her a good shaking. I enjoyed reading this book and I am ready for the next one.
This book had everything I look for in a romance book. It kept me guessing about what would happen next and wondering how the situation would play out. I felt a connection to the characters and really hoped that everything would work out the way I wanted. The story had a few twists and turns that surprised me along the way. This book also gave me a range of emotions (I laughed, I got mad, I cried). This is definitely a book I didn’t want to put down. I recommend it for anyone who wants a good book to read.
Alex and Max have been best friends for years.
Alex is a school teacher who becomes pregnant. This puts her job in jeopardy with her school.
Max is her best friend and a relnown playboy.
He needs to settle down and show he can commit for his job as well. A marriage of convienence is the perfect solution .
These two have a solid foundation of friendship to begin with. (Yeah) loves these characters and how they transition from friends to lovers. I truly enjoyed all the characters in this story. It was sweet, funny and heartwarming.
My first time reading this author and I look forward to more. I am volunteering to leave a review for this book.
I love Ms. Bevan’s books, she writes with heart and passion. Her books are fun, a bit quirky and just all around a good time. I adore Max, he is the ultimate book boyfriend…for the most part. The chemistry between Alex and Max if off the charts, and the fact that they are best friends and have been since they were young is just an added to bonus to the story. Although I have read numerous books by Ms. Bevan, and I enjoyed this one, it is on the heavily predictable side, it just needed to be a bit more original plot wise.
Could “all the wrong reasons” lead Alex to the most right reason; to find love with and be married to her best friend? Alex and Max have been best friends their whole life. When a one-night stand, political and business dreams leads them to be each other’s love should Alex take that chance with Max (who doesn’t have the greatest track record with women). This a great romance read that will keep you hooked until the end to find out.
I LOVE a good friends to lovers story. All The Wrong Reasons was also a marriage of convenience story and adding these two tropes was perfection. I loved Alex and Max, they had this incredible banter, and they just pulled me into the story. There are a lot of things to love about a single pregnant woman who works at a Christian school and a man trying to run from his playboy rep.
5 Star

I loved this friends to lovers romance by Erin Bevan. Christian school teacher Alexandra Mills and Max Buchanan, a political figure and eligible bachelor are best friends and always have been and when Alex risks loosing her job when a one night stand leaves her pregnant Max steps in to help. Max in turn needs to prove that his playboy years are behind him if he wants to keep his business afloat and so they decide a marriage of convenience will help them both. However the longer they pretend to be in love both their feelings start to change, they just don’t tell each other. I loved Alex and Max’s characters they were realistic and likeable and the chemistry between them was obvious to everyone apart from them. I loved how their relationship changed from best friends to lovers and how this developed over the book. I was cheering them on hoping they would get their happy ever after. This was a lovely read, a great escapism book which flowed nicely and I felt fully immersed in Alex and Max’s story. A wonderful romantic novel full of emotions and drama. I look forward to future books in Bevan’s ‘Serendipity Falls’ series.
All The Wrong Reasons was a thoroughly enjoyable read. I fell in love with the characters and found myself invested in their lives, staying awake at night because I had to find out what happened with each conflict/roadblock. A very sweet story with just the right amount of spice. My only concern is I need to find out what happened afterwards. Hopefully there will be further stories with these characters – I will have to check out more of Erin Bevan’s books.
All the Wrong Reasons: A Serendipity Falls Novel is the first book I have read by Erin Bevan. I really enjoyed it and would definitely read more in the future. The characters in this book are wonderful and the chemistry and friendship they have is good. It has a full backstory, which I liked. Its the story of Alex and Max, who have been best friends nearly their whole life. Alex has recently had a one night stand and wound up pregnant. Not only does she fear disappointing her parents, she may loose her job over it, since she works at a Christian school with high standards. Max is the town’s most eligible bachelor, and Alex’s best friend. His first thought is how can he fix this for her. His solution is they get married before anyone finds out. But is this just a marriage of convenience, or destiny? It seems like everyone has been waiting for them to get together. Now they just need to learn to communicate their true feelings to each other and quit hiding things.
