Let me start by telling you that I am an epically SLOW reader. What takes you an hour to read takes me two.
I read ALL THE WAY in one day.
I NEEDED this story. I needed to fall into this world with Becca and Owen and experience the heartache, the turmoil, the sweetness, the tenderness and the incredible, patient LOVE woven through the pages.
Becca is such a relatable heroine, independent, strong, with great friends and a past she just can’t seem to shake no matter how hard she tries. And Owen is the perfect alpha hero. He melted my heart (and my panties–hot hockey goalie, yes and please) with his tenderness, his care and thoughtfulness.
I loved falling in love right along with the characters.
I loved watching Becca overcome her past and Owen falling in love with her quiet bravery.
If you are looking for an emotional, RELEVANT, very relatable romance with loads of steam, some fabulously funny moments sprinkled into the seriousness of it all, then I highly recommend All the Way. I finished the book with the most dreamy smile on my face and I’m wearing it now as I write this review. I’m also a little teary, because I’m sappy like that.
Empowering, emotional, sexy and gorgeously romantic in all the best ways. ALL THE WAY is absolute perfection.
Do yourself a favour and move this one to the top of your TBR.
5 She’s Changed Everything Stars!!
I’m absolutely in love with this series and as much as I loved book one, this book right here is one of the best I’ve read by Ms. Ryan. In this book we get Owen and Becca’s story. If you read book one, you know we met these two in Playing for Keeps.
Owen is the epitome of a player….he’s a hot hockey player with puck bunnies that surround him on a daily basis. And Becca is the sweet girl next door that has experienced something no woman should ever have to live through and she reaches out to Owen to help her get over her fears.
I loved how Owen was willing to help Becca with her quest. What Becca didn’t know is that while she has feelings for him, they’re reciprocated right back. Through this book we see how they both change and grow as people. Becca touches something in Owen that makes him want to be her everything. It’s definitely not an easy journey for them to get to their HEA.
Becca has a strength in her that is enviable and seeing her come out of her shell with the help of Owen was truly like seeing a caterpillar become a beautiful butterfly. Ms. Ryan does a phenomenal job in writing this story and dealing with a topic that is quite painful and scary for anyone to experience.
Owen is one my new favorite BBF’s because he REALLY IS ALL THAT AND A BAG OF CHIPS!!
LOVED IT! I enjoyed this one even more than book one!
Owen is my favourite kind of romance hero. The redeemable rogue. He’s a manwhore with heart. I loved how he helped Becca reclaim her sexuality and find her confidence. Add in his dirty talk and his hockey playing & I was smitten.
I also want to make mention of the fact the book touches on the issue of consent. I adored how Owen made it sexy & alpha in his deliciously growly way.
Sex is only fun when both parties are enthusiastic about the venture. Consent is hot as fuck. Period. End of.
I am grateful the author reinforced what should be a fundamental truth.

There’s so much to love about this that I am not entirely sure where to start. This is not exactly the worst problem to have.
I loved the connection with Becca and Owen. I loved the friendship and the way this was what allowed her to trust him after her past. I loved the way her past was handled, it felt not only authentic but empowering.
Overall, I really liked this book. I liked the connection with the characters, the idea that they were close and that the friendship allowed him to support her through the other difficult things that she was dealing with.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.
Kendall seems to have a way of always out doing herself
Let me tell you Owen Parrish is 100% swoon worthy, why do I say that. Because the man has a heart the size of Texas. I loved this friends to lovers book.
Owen Parish is the ultimate swoonfest. The perfect blend of sweet, sexy, naughty and hilarious, he is not just the perfect book boyfriend, he is the ultimate book husband! 5 billion stars.
Becca and Owen’s story, which is the 2nd standalone in the Hot Jocks series, was just as heartwarming and sweet as the first. I fell for headfirst for their story and loved watching it unfold.
Kendall does a great job of keeping you invested in these characters and their HEA; you cheer for it like you’re watching one of Owen’s games!
I’m enjoying each book in this series and I can’t wait to dive into the third novel!
AMAZING!! I am such a huge fan of Kendall Ryan and the Hot Jocks series! I was so excited for Owen and Becca’s story! Best Friedn’s Brother is one of my favorite troupes and Kendall Ryan rocked this one! I laughed and cried and swooned! FIVE STARS!!
I love hockey romances, and I was so excited when Kendall Ryan announced the Hot Jocks series. I really enjoyed the first book, Playing for Keeps, a hybrid romance blending the friends-to-lovers and best friend’s little sister tropes. But All the Way, the second standalone in this series, stole my heart—I absolutely loved it. I’ve been a huge fan of Kendall Ryan’s writing for years; her sassy, sexy, easy-reading contemporaries and romcoms are among my favorite things to read. In All the Way, though, instead of the lighthearted sports romance her readers were probably expecting, Ryan gave them a beautiful and moving love story in.
Owen is the starting goalie for the Ice Hawks, and Becca, Owen’s sister’s best friend, is also the team owner’s assistant. Their longtime friendship made the banter flow between them effortlessly, and I couldn’t get enough of their witty back-and-forth exchanges or their easy relationship. Becca has a difficult past, and six years after the event that changed everything for her, she finally feels like she wants to move on. The problem is that she just can’t gather the courage to do it alone, and even if she could, she wouldn’t know where to start. She makes a request of Owen, the only guy she truly feels comfortable with, and he agrees to help her. I loved these two together, and the progression of their relationship from close, dear friends to soul-deep love felt genuine and natural.
Owen had been living the whole a playboy pro athlete life, and he wasn’t necessarily looking for something more meaningful or anything real, but that’s just what he found with Becca. I loved how patient and gentle he was with her. The build-up of their relationship was so sweet, and I was rooting for them the whole way. They did have their challenges to overcome, but their solid foundation of friendship paved the way as they tacked those issues and transitioned into a couple.
All the Way was a fantastic addition to this hockey-themed sports romance series from Kendall Ryan. Full of heart-string-pulling emotion and sizzling chemistry, Owen and Becca’s sweet and tender friends-to-lovers romance was an addictive, unputdownable love story that I devoured in a day. I loved absolutely everything about this story, and Owen and Becca’s passionate, poignant story is not only a new favorite from Kendall, but it’s also a top favorite for the year. All the Way by Kendall Ryan gets 5 smooches from me!

Less than perfect. Hard to resist. Over the top. Empowering. Beautiful. Although these words are wholeheartedly accurate, yet they don’t do Owen and Becca justice. Kendall Ryan shows people how to find their best self in the flaws that shadow their hearts. All the Way finds humor within the heartache. Owen is the guy that no one takes seriously. He lives for the parties, loves for the game and finds his soul mate in the most unlikely of places. Becca has a bruised soul. Although her heart reads like an open book, her eyes bare the trauma of her past. Can a playboy on the run from his heart find salvation in the arms of a broken soul? Ryan delves deep and had me falling hard for this inspiring couple.
After getting a sneak peek of Becca and Owen at the end of Elise and Justin’s book I’ve been looking forward to their story. Becca is beautiful, sweet and ready for intimacy again but needs someone she can trust and that someone is her friend Owen. Owen is the sexy playboy that’s been around the block but the one man Becca is comfortable with. This story was sweet, sexy and had all the feels that I devoured every page quicker than the next. If you enjoyed the first book in this series then you’re going to love this one and it will definitely hold a special place in your heart!
5 Star Review All The Way (Hot Jocks #2) by Kendall Ryan
When ever I pick up a Kendall Ryan book I know I am in for a great read or listen; All The Way is the second book in her latest series .
This is a friends to lovers story, with a side of hockey, that was an entertaining and easy book to read. Becca knows it’s time to get herself back into the dating field but she is nervous and decides to ask her best friend Owen to help her. Owen is happy to help Becca gain confidence until he realizes that his feelings for her have morphed into so much more than friendship.
The chemistry between Becca and Owen was intense and I knew their story would draw me and keep me riveted from the first to the last page. Their relationship is founded on friendship and trust which thanks to her past Becca finds hard to give. I absolutely adored Owen in his support of Becca and all she has been through.
The story was emotional as Becca strives to break down the wall of protection she has built around herself. It was also sexy, sweet, romantic and heartwarming.
Can Owen convince Becca, that what they could have together could be even better than either of them have ever imagined? Or will Becca run and refuse to put her friendship with Owen on the line in the hopes of finding true love together?
I am excited to see who is next in the series .
I have been a longtime fan of Kendall Ryan and could not wait to jump on All The Way. I loved Becca and Owen and how delicious their chemistry was. Besides being a great combination of sports romance (hockey, anyone?) and a friends to lovers romance, this story was also emotional and sweet as we see a wounded heroine taking a chance on intimacy again. I loved the different facets of this story and how Ryan was able to successfully highlight each integral part.
When Becca needs help getting back into the dating game after a tragic attack, she looks to her bestfriend Owen Parrish, pro athlete and hockey god/ladies man for some hands-on tips. But when their little experiment begins to feel like a real relationship and lines get crossed, Owen and Becca have to decide if their friends with benefits agreement is enough for them both.
Gah! I enjoyed this story immensely. It was sexy and emotional and serious. Don’t get me wrong, it had light-hearted moments as a Kendall Ryan novel always does, but I also enjoyed the serious tone of the novel as Becca was trying to overcome a painful issue and lingering trauma from her past. In addition, I loved how strong, determined and fiercely sassy she was. Owen, likewise, was deliciously protective and loving and boy did he know how to teach Becca a few tricks in the bedroom. Overall I loved this story. It was fiery and addicting and another fantastic Kendall Ryan story! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula
Becca and Owen.
We already met them in the first book … and I was excited to see how they would find their HEA.
And it was cute and sexy … I liked reading it.
BUT I also think it just wasn’t the day for me and this story. It all felt too ridiculous. The whole idea of helping her in the first place and then leaving and coming back and no and yes and again and again. And his super weird sudden sexual Fifty Shades-ness. Too much.
Plus everything reminded me of the amazing Brooklyn Hockey series by Sarina Bowen – even the name Becca, her job, and what happened in her past.
And the writing didn’t really flow through my mind the way a story has to for me to love it.
It was just not my book. Sorry. Maybe it was just my mood today – I really hope so!
I’ve just read this book today on the Radish app and it was fab! I adore a friends-to-lovers story that has all the feels, as well as all the steaminess.
“I can hardly believe the desire in his voice. This is Owen. My safe place. My protection from the storm that constantly wages inside me. And here he is, coming undone – for me. There’s nothing else like it.”
Becca and Owen have been best friends for four years. In all that time, things have been strictly platonic – that’s not to say that they were blind to the other one’s attractiveness. One night, copious amounts of tequila has Becca blurting out some honest truths about herself and has them crossing a very intimate line! Becca has been trying to get back into dating, but a trauma from a few years ago has her freezing up every time a guy wants to get closer to her. So, she begs Owen to be her wingman to help get her back into dating and intimacy. However, Owen doesn’t just want to just be her wingman. He wants to be the test subject, as it were!
I loved this story. It was an easy read that was full of humour, solid friendships, honesty, and full-blown sexiness. The chemistry between Becca and Owen was off the charts. I loved how Owen’s playboy ways changed without him even realising it, and how Becca’s confidence soared. This was a fab, feel-good story and I looking forward to reading the other books in this series.
Love this series and this couple!
Becca had been through hell and is finally ready to get back into the dating pool. She’s got some issues but her good friend Owen is there ready to help.
This friends to lovers romance gave me all the feels.
I really also just love this group of friends !
Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon narrate and I don’t need to say how much I adore his growly sexy voice!
Full of plenty of heat and even more heart, ALL THE WAY is the perfect friends to lovers read!
This is a unique take on friends-to-lovers. It’s a sweet story and I really couldn’t get enough of Owen and Becca. This book was funny yet handled sensitive topics appropriately and doing both takes skill. They were instantly likable, Owen, for how he handled his drunken friend and Becca for being real and hilarious. There’s angst but it’s kept to a minimum because the focus is really on how they change each other.
Owen is a notorious playboy who can’t even say the word commitment with a straight face. They’ve been friends for years and their relationship has always been strictly platonic but it’s never caused any issues. Years ago, Becca was assaulted and she has PTSD. She hasn’t dated or been physical with anyone since the assault but after six years, she wants to start living her life again, except she’s not sure how to do so.
Even the thought of kissing someone causes panic so Becca has no idea how to deal with her problem. She decides the only way to move forward is with someone she trusts so she asks Owen for help and he’s not on board at first. Becca’s a sympathetic character so her unorthodox request is understandable and Owen genuinely cares for her so he wants to help. Plus, she’s smoking hot so it’s not exactly a rough assignment so he eventually decides they can do this with some ground rules.
Becca’s determination to help herself is impressive because her request took guts and potentially puts one of her best friendships on the line. Owen cares about her a lot and appears to be the first one to catch feelings, although she’s not far behind. They’re great together and pretty steamy, too. I really enjoyed their story and will definitely read more of this series. If all of the characters are as good as these two, this series will become a new favorite.
Loved it.
Best friends to Lovers Owen and Grant’s story was a thoroughly enjoyable read.
Sexy, steamy and romantic it had all the right things to keep me flipping the pages.
I think I am going to be addicted to his series.
I highly recommend it
Fantastic read !!
Best friends to lovers trope. Owen has always been free with his sexual favours. Becca is overcoming a previous attack. Owen proves that underneath it all he is one sweet understanding guy. He just needed to realise he already had his perfect woman.
