All the Way is the first book in Kristen Proby’s new series, Romancing Manhattan. Since it is book one, it is obviously a standalone book!
Finn Cavanaugh is a successful attorney who has volunteered to take his troubled teenaged niece for the summer on Martha’s Vineyard. There they run into London Watson, the broadway star who’s parents’ estate Finn helped settle months earlier. She’s been injured in the fire that took her parents’ lives, and she’s on Martha’s Vineyard to rest and recouperate in hopes of returning to her beloved career. Despite their initial rocky meeting, Finn and London begin dating in this idyllic setting, and their relationship blossoms quickly. But will life, work, and a devastating secret revealed make… or break… them when they both return to Manhattan?
Kristen Proby was one of the first authors I discovered when I purchased my first Kindle Fire. I loved her With Me in Seattle series, and that’s the one that hooked me on her writing. I haven’t read all of her books, but most of them I have either read, or they are on my TBR list/pile! So needless to say, I was quite excited to get my hands on this book!
NICUnurse’s Rating: I give All the Way 4.5 stars. Maybe it’s me (sometimes it really IS me), but I just didn’t feel like this one pulled me in like most of her other books, so I’m taking a half star off. I did love the all the characters, though. (OK, maybe not so much London’s brother.) Both Finn and London are a bit older and have never been married. So they are both set in their ways and have issues communicating and understanding each other that are truly realistic. (My husband and I were nearly 30 when we married and had similar issues, so I speak from experience!) Both of them have successful careers that they love, and they find ways to make their relationship work despite insanely busy schedules and lots of travel. I honestly love that neither of them wants to just give up on their relationship when they realize how crazy life is after they return to Manhattan and settle back into their jobs. Finn loves his family, and they are all close, which adds some frustrating yet funny moments. I won’t talk about the secret because that enters spoiler territory and you guys know how much I hate spoilers. If you like contemporary romance with a twist of suspense, you’ll be really happy reading this book. So run… pick up your copy today!!
Review 4.5 Stars for All the Way which is book 1 in Kristen Proby’s new series Romancing Manhattan and if this book is anything to go by this author will have another hit series on her hands.
London Watson meets Finn Cavanaugh when he is reading her parents will to her and her estranged brother and when her brother Kyle starts to act up because of the terms and conditions of the will Finn finds himself asking London out as a way to try and cut the tension in the room…not the best way to ask someone out. Finn owns a house next door to the house on Marthas Vineyard that London has just inherited and when they both find themselves spending some time at their beach front properties a chance meeting ends up with Finn persueing London once again for a dinner date….
I loved this couple and their story Finn and London may have had an instant attraction to each other but that doesn’t mean the road to a relationship is straight forward they have a few twists and turns to deal with along the way. This book may be Finn and London’s journey but we also met and got an inside into the life of Finn’s brothers and London’s best friend and now I can’t wait for their stories. This book consumed me I read it in one sitting and it left me wanting more I hope we don’t have too long to wait for book 2 in Romancing Manhattan. Great start to a new series
“Look at me. You’re mine, do you understand?”

These characters will charm you. They will amaze and surprise you. They will leave you no choice but to fall head over heels in LOVE with them. The pace of the story was perfect. I was absolutely HOOKED from the prologue. Like with all of Proby’s love stories, I couldn’t put it down! Her brand of storytelling is spot on and it’s exactly what the romance community needs. As an avid romance reader of many years, I feel like this author just gets me…gets what I need out of a happily ever after. And that’s why I keep coming back for MORE! She soothes my soul and fills my heart with her incredible talent. So get ready to fall HARD for Finn and London’s beautiful story. Follow the story of award winning dancer London, as she navigates trying to get through life after losing her parents and her possible career ending injury. Lawyer Finn Cavanaugh comes in and is taken with her, but the timing isn’t right at this time.
Enjoy their story of finding each other and seeing if they can weather the storms brewing among other things going on in the background!
5 stars and grab this one when you can!
A magnificent start to the new Romancing Manhattan series! This first book is a brilliant start! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Finn and London are the first couple in this series to find their happily ever after. London is a 32 year old tony award winner who has just lost her parents in a fire that she got hurt in. London is an almost 40 year old single attorney likes to be in control. I loved this story and seeing these two grow and find their happily ever after with each other.
I loved this story and cannot wait for the next book in the series! Kristen is one of my go to authors!!
It’s at our weakest that we find the strength to become the strongest. Proby has remained a favorite of mine, because she’s not afraid to go beyond the laughter and delve into the heartache. All The Way dares to be bold. Is not afraid to be sensitive. Will walk away with more than just a little piece of heart. There’s a risk to opening yourself up to life. From joyful memories to heartbreaking goodbyes the experiences far outweigh the fear. London and Finn are survivors. Out of tragedy emerges a second chance for three strangers determined to face their fears in order to find their happy ending.
3.5 stars–ALL THE WAY is the first instalment in Kristen Proby’s contemporary, adult ROMANCING MANHATTAN erotic, romance series focusing on three brothers and attorneys -Finn, Carter and Quinn Cavanagh . This is forty-year old, attorney Finn Cavanagh, and thirty-two year old, singer/dancer/ Tony Award winning actress London Watson’s story line.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Finn and London) ALL THE WAY follows the building relationship between forty-year old, attorney Finn Cavanagh, and thirty-two year old, singer/dancer/ Tony Award winning actress London Watson. Several months earlier London Watson would come face to face with her future, her father’s attorney, and the man with whom she would fall in love. But the tragic death of her parents, and the subsequent disaster that left our heroine with permanent injuries, finds London Watson recovering in the family home on Martha’s Vineyard. Enter attorney Finn Cavanagh, her next door neighbour and the man with whom London would fall in love. What ensues is the quick building relationship between London and Finn, and the fall-out as another potential disaster threatens London’s long fight for peace and rehabilitation.
Finn Cavanagh is a successful attorney whose down time spent on the east coast with his niece Gabby finds our hero falling for the woman next door. Hoping for something more than a summer fling, Finn offers to follow London, as she is offered a role on the country’s west coast. London Watson is an extremely independent and forceful heroine who isn’t above telling it like it is. Growing up in a controlled environment, she refuses to ‘allow’ anyone, including the man with whom she is falling in love, to control any aspect of her life although ‘control’ is a questionable action –in this, I struggled to sympathize with our story line heroine. Her acerbic condemnation of Finn’s actions were just short of rude, condescending and b*tchy.
The relationship between Finn and London begins as a seaside romance, a romance that will continue after Finn’s return to work, and London’s offer to work on the west coast. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic, language and text.
We are introduced to Finn’s brothers and fellow attorneys: widower Carter Cavanagh and his ten year old daughter Gabby; Quinn Cavanagh, whose over protective nature pushes all of his mother’s (Margaret Cavanaugh) buttons; London’s friend and colleague Sasha; superstar Jeffrey Cameron, and London’s brother Kyle.
ALL THE WAY is a story of family, friendship, betrayal and pain. The premise is entertaining but the conflict resolution, and the building mystery was predictable and disappointing. The romance was seductive and provocative but I struggled with the heroine’s attitude and need for control-there is a fine line between independent and strong vs b*tch; the characters were colorful and charismatic. I am looking forward to a happily ever after for both Quinn and Carter.

~ 4.5 Stars ~
All the Way is an enjoyable beach read that had wonderful characters and an entertaining storyline without a lot of drama. I also liked the added suspenseful element to the story line. That made me want to turn the pages even faster.
What I really enjoyed about this story was that we got adult aged characters. The Hero is 40 and the heroine is 32. I enjoyed seeing that, makes relating to the characters and their story a little easier since I am an older reader. I also liked their ability to work through issues in a mature way, unlike in some other books where the younger characters make rash decisions and then cause a rift. This was a refreshing change of pace!!
All the Way is the first book in Kristen Proby’s newest series. I think this series is off to an enjoyable start. Perfect first book in the series. My only complaint about the book and the reason for the 4.5 stars, was because I thought the ending was kind of abrupt. I would’ve liked an epilogue to finish this story. But it really didn’t take away from my enjoyment. I just hope that we see more of London and Finn in other books to help bring their story to an end.
All the Way is a standalone novel and is told in Dual POV!! I thought the pace and flow worked well in this book. We see all the things we love in a Kristen Proby book in All the Way.
In this book we follow the story of London and Finn. London has just lost her parents in a tragic accident. London is also injured in said accident, leaving her alone and needing to recuperate. London is a Tony Award winning actress, but her career is put on hold after her accident. Sad, frustrated, and lonely London goes out to Martha’s Vineyard to heal. While staying there she runs into Finn, who happens to be her parents lawyer. Now he is her neighbor as well. Read this book to see how Finn and London navigate, her healing, living in separate places and when someone in London’s life isn’t happy with her.
I would recommend this book to all romance readers who like a story with very little drama but some suspense to keep you turning the pages. If you know or have read other Kristen Proby books, then you know when you pick this book up, you’re in for a treat!!
It’s safe to say that when Kristen Proby starts a new series, she holds nothing back. All the Way is no exception. From start to finish the story keeps you enthralled.
While Kristen continues to provide her swoony signature, which I absolutely LOVE, All the Way is different. London Watson, an independent, irrepressible woman has been one of the strongest characters I’ve read from Ms. Proby thus far. I love that she stands on her own, fearlessly. I also love how she handles Finn Cavanaugh. The sexy, alpha lawyer has truly met his match. Their chemistry will have you flipping those pages quickly.
In addition to loving the main characters, I loved the supporting ones as well. How they are presented and how they carried the story as a whole heightens the anticipation of what is to come. Really, there nothing more I can say other than I loved this story. I loved it and seriously cannot wait for is yet come.
This is a must read, must add to your reading list.
London Watson’s current state of mind is riddled with loss and despair, in one fell swoop she lost her parents and then lost her career to a devastating injury; she is trying to cope with all this loss, but being in the city is smothering, she needs an escape. Which takes her to her parents home in Martha’s Vineyard, she is supposed to be relaxing, letting her body heal, but it also leaves lots of free time on her hands so she decides to sort through her parents belongings. But on that little island she finds a lot more than a place to recoup, she also meets a gorgeous neighbor who brings some much needed happiness to her life!
When Finn Cavanuagh met London a few months ago in his law office he was completely enamored with her, she was beautiful, but it was also obvious that she was broken, and something inside him wanted to reach out to her and save her, but it really wasn’t his place. When he discovers that she is staying in her parents home on Martha’s vineyard alongside of him, he can’t help but want to use the opportunity to get to know his neighbor a little better, and possibly see if he can help lighten her load. When his niece befriends her, it gives him an opportunity to get a glimpse into her life, and he really likes what he sees, but she has an insurmountable amount of baggage that she is sorting through, and she isn’t so willing to let anyone in to help her deal with it. But he is a determined man who will stop at nothing to see her happy again…
Once I cracked the cover on this beautifully crafted read, I just could not bring myself to put it down, I was instantly pulled into these characters lives, and wrapped up in the drama and heartbreak that surrounded them, it was such an absorbing tale! In this first installment in the Romancing Manhattan series we meet London and Finn who initially meet at the reading of her parents will, and then find themselves unexpectedly living beside on another months later, and it’s obvious from their first meeting that there is chemistry there. But, it definitely takes a lot of coaxing for it to blossom into anything, London is swimming in grief from her parents deaths and the loss the her career has left her heart shattered, and Finn has kept himself closed off from the idea of love and dating for so long that he has no idea where to even begin or if he really even wants to. But what he does know is that he cares for this broken woman, and he wants to see her find happiness again, preferably with him, but willing to do anything to make it happen nonetheless… and what happens is something so moving, and so breathtakingly beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed every single second of this one, it had Ms. Proby’s trademark wit and steam, but also a few unexpected things too, definitely a wonderful start to a new series, can’t wait for more!!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from Edelweiss, and I am leaving my honest opinion.
The title says it all. Kristen Proby does it again. This story goes all the way in the stars department. A definite 5 star read. Her characters are wonderful and enlightening. A true joy. Finn truly loves London but he is sort of a control freak. London wants to do things her way and not be dependent on anyone. Finn does things for her out of love but she doesn’t see it that way. What these two characters learn is communication. That is what makes a relationship last. They both need to let the other know what they are thinking and let the other know when something doesn’t sit right with them. Kristen Proby enables these characters to grow and learn the importance of communication. Unlike London’s friend Sasha, London wants a love life not a f**k life. And she wants that with Finn.
All The Way is the first in a new series and looks to be a winner. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts. The relationship Finn has with his brothers is not something that London knows. It is only her and her brother and they do not have the best relationship. When she becomes involved with Finn she sees what being close to your siblings is.
Finn is a lawyer that ends up taking care of a friends will, London is a broadway star actress. When London ends up getting hurt and trying to rebuild her house after losing her parents the remeet and the relationship between them grows and is great. You see real issues through these two characters and a bond being built. Kristen Proby did not disappoint with this read. I could not put this book down. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
The characters + storytelling were very captivating
London was taking a break to recharge.
Finn was looking for some down time to recharge
What are the odds that they woud get more than they bargained for ?
They were not looking for love, but love found them.
Now they have to decided if this newfound love is strong enough.
The storytelling + the character’s build were awesome!
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
