From International Bestseller Michelle Heard comes a stand-alone, Suspense Romance.Hiding in Ocean’s Isle after being suspended from the force for two months, my hot, feisty, neighbor is the last person I should be interested in. But the next thing I know, we keep running into each other, which lead to some pretty intense sexually-loaded moments. I’m not supposed to fall for her, especially … her, especially knowing I’ll be going home in a week to face the mess I left behind. It’s just supposed to be a mind-blowing one-night stand.
Then I walk into the precinct, and I meet the new psychologist. I sure as hell didn’t see it coming, and now I have to bare my soul to the woman who should’ve remained a fantasy.
Keeping her at a distance is next to impossible, but knowing her life might be in danger if I give into the growing attraction between us, I have no choice but to keep pretending to be the playboy joker everyone thinks I am.
But will I be able to keep resisting the powerful pull between us?
Will I be able to hide her from the man who swore to destroy my life the way I destroyed his?
Will I ever survive the consequences of that fatal night?
Please note: All The Wasted Time contains sensitive scenes which may be upsetting to some readers.

Wyatt is the life and soul of the family, he’s loved by everyone but things are hard for him been a police officer takes it toll.
Scarlett has taken a break before starting a new job.
Never expecting to met someone they both are drawn together.
I’ve enjoyed reading the books in this series and each book is handled just right the characters, the storyline etc., I definitely recommend reading them. Now to download “We were lost”
After reading the other books in this series, I was hoping there would be a story about Wyatt. I find his character to be so endearing, caring and funny. This story showed a different side to him, and I loved every minute of it. Wyatt had some issues come up where he needed help, and along comes Scarlett, a beautiful woman who is the perfect medicine. From the minute they met, you just knew these two belonged together, but Wyatt needed to come to terms with some things in his life first. I truly enjoy the Southern Heroes stories because they show how strong family ties can be, and how if you love and trust in one another, you can do anything in life. This series just gets better and better. Please read this series from beginning to end, you will love it as much as I do.
This series is amazing!
Wyatt is such a troubled soul. His problems run so much deeper than I ever imagined. His story really pulled at the heartstrings. I cried, laughed, and had so many different emotions while reading. Really enjoyed this story.
Scarlett was meant to be his fantasy, a distraction from the guilt he feels when Hank Jenkins calls telling him he could have saved his wife, and working out what he is going to do with his life, but now he finds out she’s working at the precinct and he’s going to see her every day.
Wyatt normally forgets women after he’s been with them, but he can’t with Scarlett, she surprises him again by agreeing to a date, if he lets her help him and he finally thinks he’s met someone who gets him.
Scarlett loves how easy-going Wyatt is, her only concern is she may lose her heart to him, but he’s romantic. Hearing some news, she knows that she’s going to have to be strong to get Wyatt through everything, and she may even lose her heart to him in the process. Wyatt goes through the hardest fight of his life, while Scarlett stays by his side the entire time.
So glad we got Wyatt’s story cause I’ve loved him from the beginning!! Wyatt has lots of internal demons that Scarlett wants him to conquer. She is a balm to the chaos and is willing to go to battle for Wyatt if needed. They were perfect!!
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book
This was a great read. I felt so much for Wyatt. I’m glad he found Scarlett.
This is Wyatt’s story and let me tell you you will definitely need tissues. It is such a heart felt, gut wrenching book. The events that happen to Wyatt could happen to anyone and that is so hard to imagine sitting here thinking that could happen to me, my husband or anyone I know for all I know. What would I do? How could I help them? Could I be strong enough? For Scarlett sure she was a doctor and should know how to handle those situations but they had 1 night of passion was she strong enough to put that to the side to see Wyatt get better for himself and possibly a future with her.
Wyatt’s story is different than most I read also because the rolls are reversed the woman is the strong one in ATWT. Wyatt has to fight to get better. He has to fight to get strong and healthy. He has to fight to show Scarlett he is worthy.
At the end of ATWT I loved how Ms. Heard brought together many of the different characters from the different books and series she has written over the years. I can’t wait to read what else Ms Heard has in store later.
I think this book is my absolute favorite in this series! Wyatt is the jokester in his family and with his friends, but he is such a deep soul. A chance encounter when he escapes to the family’s beach house with the woman he knows as just Scarlett should have been over when he went back home, but fate is kooky sometimes. Scarlett is heading towards her new life and job in a new town and the last person she expected to run in to was the hottie from the beach who is assigned as a patient at the precinct she now works at. As the story continues you find that there is more to Wyatt then just the simple jokester and his hurt runs deep. I absolutely loved him and cheered for him to make it through with every page I read, and Scarlett is the perfect woman to be there by his side.
All The Wasted Time by Michelle Heard is book four in her Southern Heroes Series. The book was previously published as Wyatt- now new edited and rewritten.
The previous books are The Ocean Between Us – Aiden; The Girl In The Closet – Cole; The Lies We Tell Ourselves – Alec. There are some cross-overs and for best reading experience I recommend to read the books in order.
Wyatt Holden is the youngest sibling and the tender heartest. He works like most of his family at the force, is an successful Detective, but gets eaten by his job. A job that costs him dearly.
Scarlett is the precinct’s new psychologist- and a former ons of Wyatt. Awkward. Soon she realises he deals with a grave condition and needs help. He claws his way back into a healthy-ish life with the help of his friends and family. Reading Wyatt’s story hurt, it hurt a lot and at the same time I loved his story. I give 4,5 stars.
All The Wasted Time is a heart wrenching, gutting read and deals with sensitive subjects that may cause triggers.
This is such an amazing book that will grab you from the beginning and not let go til the end. I quite enjoyed Wyatt’s story a lot. This series is great. I have to say that Wyatt is probably my favorite character so far.
this story will take you on a emitional ride that will have your heart in a twisted emionals as it will you tearing your heart out, and making you melt. the next minute
I really liked this book. It was sweet and also very angsty. I felt so bad for Wyatt and loved him so much. I really liked Scarlett too and was so happy to see a glimpse of some of my favorite characters!
I knew from reading the previous Southern Heroes books that I loved Wyatt, however, this book was not what I expected at all. I absolutely love Wyatt and Scarlett. Wyatt has been dealing with some major issues, he has what he thought was a one night stand with Scarlett only to learn later that she is the psychologist for the police department that he works for. What does for these two? I absolutely loved Scarlett and was able to relate with her character a great deal. Heard has done an amazing job with their story and real life issues. I highly recommend this as well as the whole series.
Book 4 in Michelle Heard’s Southern Heroes series brings us Wyatt Holden’s story. Wyatt, like pretty much his whole family, works at Lyman Police Precinct, he’s a detective, currently on suspension. While at his family’s beachside retreat he manages to hookup with his hot neighbour, who he finds out shortly after, just happens to be the new police psychologist at his station. Cute story with some emotional scenes dealing with Wyatt and his extremely sensitive disposition. Scarlett handles Wyatt and all his issues with compassion and patience, she truly is his soulmate. I loved catching up with all the guys and their families. I received a copy of the book from the author. This is my honest review.
Loooooooooved Wyatt & Scarlett . Wyatt is probably my favorite as of now!!
This book is full of heartbreak and so many other emotions. Michelle has a way with her words and she knows how to pull you in and get you right into the story. I’ve read LOTS of Michelle’s books and this one is near the top!!
Thank you for your amazing words!! I cannot wait for Zac!!
ALL THE WASTED TIME is Book #4 in the Southern Heroes Series. It is the time for Wyatt Holden’s story. Wyatt is the younger brother of Aiden. Even though Aiden is the best big brother in the world, it’s hard living up to his perfect image. Wyatt comes across as an easy going guy with a great sense of humor. He is known as a free-spirit. His best quality is his pure heart of gold. But it is his best quality that also causes him so much pain. One moment in time changes his life, and fills him with guilt and pain.
Wyatt had joined the police force to make his parent’s proud of him. But it was hard walking in Aiden’s shadow. He had messed up and was suspended from the force for two months. He was hiding out in a cabin in Ocean’s Isle. Fate decides to step in when he notices his beautiful neighbor jogging down the beach. Later he meets up with her at a local watering hole. They enjoy a mind-blowing one-night stand.
Fate wasn’t done with just one night however. Imagine Wyatt’s shocked surprise when he walks back into the precinct on his first day back, and meets the new psychologist. Now he must bare his soul to the very woman that has filled his thoughts since their very unforgettable one-night stand. The chemistry between Scarlett Greyson and Wyatt is off the charts. They were so overjoyed they had found each other again. Love isn’t just a feeling. It’s helping each other through life while dreaming of a future together. Problems arise, because hidden under the happy facade Wyatt projects, are some very dark hidden secrets.
Wyatt and Scarlett will have on the edge of your seat with all the feels and emotions you won’t know which way to go. It’s intense romantic read that you won’t be able to stop reading.
Wyatt is feeling guilty for things that are beyond his control and Scarlett trying to help him figures out what is wrong and understands what he needs. Will he be willing to take the help or will it break behind repair?
Can’t wait to read the next one.
All The Wasted Time took me completley by surprise. Wyatt has been one of my favorite characters throughout this series so I was eagerly looking forward to his story. However, I was in no way prepared for the emotional rollercoaster ride that Wyatt took me on. It was beautiful, heartbreaking, stole my breath and one that will stick with me for a while to come. I loved seeing beyond Wyatt’s easy going and smooth talking persona. Scarlett was just what Wyatt needed and the depth of their feelings and strength of the instant bond they had was incredible to see. These two captured my heart, held me mesmerized and had me shedding quite a few tears along the way. If you love stories that deal with love, loss and finding one’s way again then do yourself a favor and pick up All The Wasted Time.
Another page turner by this author. It’s a one sitting read you won’t be able to put down until the very last page. A lot of men think they have to deal with stuff on their own and consider crying to be weak. Oh contraire! Real men cry and release all that stress and pressure we put on their shoulders. This book hits close to my own heart.
Wyatt is the youngest son in a loving family who most of are members of the police force. Whilst he’s suspended due to beating up a suspect, he’s involved in a fatal motor vehicle accident. He takes off to Oceans Isle for some well earned relaxation. However he has a one nighter with his neighbour Scarlett. He heads home knowing he has to be given the okay by the psychologist to have his suspension lifted.
Scarlett is moving to a new town, starting a new job and stops in Oceans Isle for a few days. She does a runner after spending the night with Wyatt, because she doesn’t need complications right now. First day in her new job, she has two files land on her desk and one of them contains Wyatt Holdens name. Scarlett is a big girl so she just has to deal with seeing him again. She has to make the hardest, heart rendering decision of her career.
This was a beautiful, heart wrenching read! It was so intense, it was hard to put down!
