I have been blown away by this beautiful story of loss and love. This book was an absolute page turner from the very start. I have felt every emotion whilst devouring this book and I never knew where the story was leading. A fantastic read!!

I had a bit of trouble getting into the story but once I did, the story kept on flowing. It was an enjoyable read and one that definitely had something underneath that comes to the surface and you can’t help but feel what the characters are going through…
Rebecca and her family moves to another town to try and escape what’s happened but she won’t be staying, only for two weeks. She couldn’t be more further removed from her family than she already is and can’t seem to find a way to try and move on from what’s haunting her dreams. When she first meets Joshua, there’s this spark between them they both can’t seem to explain but she keeps her distance. But there’s something that keeps her floating back to him and when they become closer, it’ll become healing for her since she seems to be able to talk to him about her past. But Joshua is keeping some secrets too. Will he also be able to find a way to deal with it? And will Rebecca finally be able to move on from what has happened and maybe find a way to stay?…

“Thank you for waking me up. You’ve made me feel like I can breathe, and live again.”
Short and simple:
The girl made of the sun meets the boy made of the moon. Together they help each other heal in ways the never thought of and find home in each other.
I enjoyed most, that the story and the writing style captured me every time I picked it up. I blended in and I forgot about time and my surroundings. I’ve ask the author beforehand if she would recommend reading the prequel first. She suggested I should go in blind and read the prequel after. It was the perfect decision. So I was in the dark about Josh’s and Bex’s secrets as they were and it kept me wondering what bad must have happened to them so they became the way they are and how they’ll deal with it (with overcoming their own past as well how they’ll deal with each others past).
“When I see you together, I see two planets that are orbiting around each other.”
Gone is a heartfelt story about two souls lost in this big world just trying to find their. Bex or Rebecca had been through a lot in the past few years and had gained a few reputations that she thought was slowly destroying her family. Joshua had recently lost his girlfriend, the girl he was in love with. They find each other on the beach. He becomes her sun and sand and she becomes his moon and sea. In a short two weeks they find a love that becomes hard to break. They also end up finding themselves again. I really enjoyed Bex and Joshua’s story and watching them come to life once more. It broke my heart because in this day and age we let so much of what other people think get to us and it becomes hard to walk away from those opinions. But to watch two lost souls push those opinions away and really find themselves again is heartwarming.
