Stumbled across this book not knowing what to expect. Hold on for the ride of your life. Kate is a young woman that seems to have it all. A rewarding career, the perfect boyfriend whom she had recently gotten engaged to, a life to be envied. All this changes when she starts having recurring nightmares forcing to have her remember a tragic event from her past. In an instant, her life changes. The boyfriend leaves, she quits her job, her presence is suddenly putting anyone close to her in danger. Chapters end on cliffhangers forcing ‘just one more chapter’ mentality. Don’t be surprised if you stay awake all night reading just to find out what happens next.
It may be out there. but I’d not read anything before with this particular story line. What a captivating read! On the one hand I didn’t want to put it down. On the other I didn’t want a good book to end. Well developed characters and great flow. Now to read more in this series!!!
I was fascinated with this book. I loved the characters. The main character transformed into another person in this book and found out what she really was made to do in her life. I enjoyed the loss of a love but a gain of another who was more compatible to her new self. It has so many twists and turns. I enjoyed how she regained her memory through quite a struggle to see the person responsible for harming her as a child and finding the killer to so many victims. The author does a wonderful job of letting you feel the emotions. I want to read more from this series for sure!
Action filled and non-stop suspense. Put yourself in the shoes of a serial killer’s only escapee, can you… really? Highly emotional and addictive!
In this story, Katie begins to have nightmares about getting away from a killer. She later discovers that she is actually having flashbacks from a kidnapping incident when she was a child. She determines to catch this killer, who is still targeting young children. It certainly kept me reading until the end. An edge of your seat kind of thriller.
This book got me hooked!
Ill start out by saying WOW! This story kept me on the edge of my seat. A real no put downer! I’ve read stories about serial killers before but this one takes the top. It has enough mystery that you keep trying to work it out for the heroine. Very good story telling. I look forward to reading more stories of Robin Mahle. If they’re even half as good as this one, my time will be well spent. I gave it the five stars it deserves.
This was a very emotional book to read.I found myself crying on more than one occasion .The book is also a page turner that you have a hard time putting it down.I would highly recommend this book. The author really draws you in and you really feel for the characters in the book and have to remind yourself that it’s just a story.
I enjoyed the book, in spite of the main character. She was impulsive, irresponsible, and annoying.
A great book!
Decent story but fairly predictable. A bit too much drama for me.
I’ve been trying to read this book for a while, but can’t get through it. It is poorly writtten and dragging on and on. I am reading 2 other books in addition to this one and this one is definitely on the back burning and I am not even sure I will finish it.
