If you’re not ready for your heart to be broken, I urge you to not read this book.
All the Bright Places is set up like a typical YA high school fiction: with a twist of fate, the popular girl and the quirky guy end up tangling their lives together. I was ready for a fluffy, pretty read with just enough edginess to draw out a sniffle or two… …
Finished reading this one over the weekend! It really should be called “All The Damp Tissues.” Not that I cried. … OK fine, I cried. OOH LOOK we can add URLs now.

I absolutely loved this audio book and will be watching the movie soon. Finch’s mental illness was such a great depiction that my heart broke for him. As a mother I wanted to save him, but knew it was up to him. Violet grew and changed so much in the story, going from a broken teen to a girl looking forward to life in spite of her losses.

A heart breaking book but it was good and I enjoyed reading it
Powerful, life-affirming and memorable, everybody should read this book. At times heartbreaking, at other times hilarious, at others authentic and moving – All The Bright Places is ultimately a story about two young people and the tragic consequences of the mental illness that stands between them.
With characters you’ll adore and a bittersweet …
I loved everything about this book.
What I like about this book is the thoughts and feelings that a person has when dealing with suicide. Finch is one of the characters who feels like killing himself everyday but always finds a reason to stay alive. I feel like this is so inspirational because of the resilience of this character. There is another character called violet who is …
I loved it!!! It really did it for me
Yes. I cried. Especially when Jennifer Niven shared her author’s note. It’s a powerful story about being broken, and not knowing how to put the pieces back together.
It’s both inspirational and sad
I mourned the moment I finished this book knowing I will never find another like this.
All The Bright Places was extraordinarily put together and beautifully constructed. Every word has a special meaning and every scene is evidently well thought out.
Finch is a haunting character. He definitely caused some tears and laughs.
WARNING: Do not read this book unless you have a full day to yourself. Tears ARE imminent and shock is a …
This book broke my heart. I spiraled into depression after reading it. I rooted for the characters and felt and related to their pain. This book just denied me happiness. I guess I’m still processing what went wrong.
it makes me lovely.
This book is a roller coaster ride of a story. For me I felt that it was really something I needed at the time in which I read it. This book does have depression and suicide themes, so if you feel often triggered by that I would not read this book. I found it very heartbreaking. I sobbed.
I love this book with every fiber of my being. THIS IS A MUST READ!!!
Very inspiring and heartwarming. A page turner. A book about two teenagers who’s world fall apart. But when they meet, one of them may have hope while the other thinks it’s time for his life to end.
This was a hauntingly beautiful book that changed my prespective on mental health and life. This book ruined reading for me because i know I’ll never be able to read anything as great as this ever again.
Very compelling. I hated the ending, but I couldn’t stop reading! So heavy and emotional. Finch is a definite bright spot and somehow lovable even with his weird quirks. This book broke my heart. I thought about it for days after finishing it.
