From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken… her dream had been to marry a rockstar and live the high life.
Moving my recording studio to Seaside Oregon seems like the best idea in the world right now especially since Seaside Oregon has turned into the place for celebrities to stay and raise families in between touring and producing. It would be lucrative to make the move, but I’m doing it for my kids because they need normal, they deserve normal. And me? Well, I just need a break and help, that too. I need a sitter and fast. Someone who won’t flip me off when I ask them to sign an Iron Clad NDA, someone who won’t sell our pictures to the press, and most of all? Someone who looks absolutely nothing like my ex-wife.
He’s tall.
That was my first instinct when I saw the notorious Trevor Wood, drummer for the rock band Adrenaline, in the local coffee shop. He ordered a tall black coffee which made me smirk, and five minutes later I somehow agreed to interview for a nanny position. I couldn’t help it; the smaller one had gum stuck in her hair while the eldest was standing on his feet and asking where babies came from. He looked so pathetic, so damn sexy and pathetic that rather than be star-struck, I took pity. I knew though; I knew the minute I signed that NDA, the minute our fingers brushed and my body became insanely aware of how close he was—I was in dangerous territory, I just didn’t know how dangerous until it was too late. Until I fell for the star and realized that no matter how high they are in the sky—they’re still human and fall just as hard.

Quintessentially, Rachel Van Dyken! Old Friends in this new story about family, trust, and love. A single Dad now Trevor has his hands full until he Penelope “Penny” who came for a fresh start from Montana. What they find together can only be written about in songs.
All Stars Fall is the newest addition to the Seaside Pictures family and a crossover with Kristen Proby’s Big Sky series. This is a fun, steamy taste of the Seaside Pictures series. I love these characters and Rachel gave us so much to love in this story! Trevor is just trying to make it through the day by himself and his three kids. He’s tired, always has some kind of food stuck to his clothes and is in desperate need for a new nanny. Enter Penelope. She just moved to town for a fresh start and on her first day she finds herself working for Trevor. Sexy drummer of one of her favorite bands. He’s so handsome and sexy, but he’s a hot mess. Literally. She falls instantly in love with his kids and the attraction between her and Trevor is crazy hot. Will they fight the sparks or give in to the lust? I loved this story! Not going to lie, it left me wanting more and I hope we see more of this couple and these fantastic kids!
I liked this book. I have read the Seaside Pictures series, so it was nice to see some of those characters again. This book works fine as a standalone, though. It was pretty instalove, but it’s a novella, so I can forgive that a bit more in this case. Overall, quick read with some funny parts and likable main characters.
Penny and Trevor….where do I even begin? Please tell me there will be more of them in the future! I fell in love from the get go and I must say Trevor is now one of my all time favorite characters. I loved how gradual things progressed with he and Penny and how the kiddos took to her. I devoured the book in no time because I simply couldn’t put it down. I definitely want to read more about Drew.
Rachel tugged at my heart strings so hard while I read this story. I fell in love with Trevor over and over again but his kids even more. I love single dads and he is a hot rocker so that’s a definite bonus. I want to borrow his daughter Bella….she makes me smile. I would love to be the hot nanny that gets to marry her dad and love her like my own for the rest of my life. My heart aches for these kids and I might have hoped their mom suffered for the rest of her life for abandoning her children. Penny may be the nanny, but she is so much more than that. She is special and sweet and has such a soft spot for these kids, you would think she gave birth to them herself. Trevor and Penny are kindred spirits and I swooned over them so hard. You must read this book to find out about shooting stars, stranger danger and love songs alone. Rachel Van Dyken, you made my heart explode with happiness and I wish I could read this book for the first time again. All Stars fall so lost souls can find their way to each other by guiding light, and Rachel made this happen brilliantly in this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed Penelope’s and Trevor’s book.
There’s chemistry, humor and moments that a bit emotional.
I didn’t like Trevor’s ex-wife at all and couldn’t stand her when she showed up.
I like how Penelope is with Trevor’s kids from the very beginning. She is so maternal with them from the very beginning.
I love how Trevor’s friends think his kids will set her on fire. Trevor is the drummer for the famous band Adrenaline. His kids are hilarious but it’s also heartbreaking what they are dealing with because of their mother. They are so young and dealing with so much. They act out because they don’t know any other way to express themselves.
I highly recommend this book. It’s a quick read and I love the humor.
Loved this!
All Stars Fall is absolutely amazing. It brings two worlds together, tells one complete story and makes me want to read more. I absolutely loved it! It’s only fault, is that it ended.
This book is such a fantastic addition to Rachel Van Dyken’s Seaside series. It not only intricately weaves the memorable characters from this series, but also ones from Kristen Proby’s Big Sky Series. Both of which are among my all time favorite authors.
Trevor Wood moves to Seaside, Oregon with his three kids to start over. Apparently, that’s what all the A-list rockstars and Hollywood stars are doing these days. Being on tour since age thirteen, check, Making a comeback and getting a Grammy, check. Opening a recording Studio, check. Managing three kids under five on his own, just might be the death if him though. Since their mom left, they are acting out and he is doing everything he can to be there for him, but sometimes people need help.
When he meet Penelope, a barista who manages to engage with his children, get them to smile, and manage their behavior in under five minutes, he hires her on the spot.
I absolutely loved this story and cant wait for more from the Seaside series in the future. It was amazing to read about my favorite characters again and cant wait for more!
Rachel, Rachel, Rachel you are amazing, as always!! I just love the Seaside crew. And you made them even better by bringing Trevor and Penelope together. Trevor, drummer and singer for the band Adrenaline is wondering what went wrong. He had it all, the band, a wife and three beautiful children. Then, the wife decided things were greener on the other side and left. He was lost, the kids were heartbroken; until Penny. Penelope trying to start over in Seaside never thought that she would be working and falling for one of her teen idols from the past. But the moment she laid eyes on the kids, she was hooked. And then of course their dad. I loved how she just swooped right in and brought happiness into their lives.
One of my favorite sayings that Trevor said is: “and because when I look up at the stars, you remind me that no matter how secure they may look—they still fall. And sometimes in falling, you find forever.”
Ok I need more from Seaside beaches! I wanted to know who Penny was after reading Kristen Proby’s Soaring with Fallon… I must say I was hooked! Simply devoured this book and need more from RVD! Seriously single dad with 3 kids and his desperate need for help? I found myself laughing at a few parts of the book and swooning the next.
This Kristen Proby Crossover Collection is amazing! I am being introduced to new to me authors and finding whole new worlds to jump into
A new single dad rockstar romance offering from the great Rachel Van Dyken! All Stars Fall is LIVE on your favorite platform now.
All Stars Fall is such a brilliant story!
Trevor Wood, drummer of Adrenaline and single dad to three kids.
Penelope, single girl wanting to make a fresh start in a new town working in a small coffee shop.
The most perfect match ever!
I love Rachel Van Dyken’s writing and her storytelling is just so captivating. The way Trevor and Penelope first meet by her being kind to his kids at the coffee shop where she works just about melted my heart. Bella is such a cutie so is it any wonder that Penny agrees to look after them and ends up falling in love with them all. This story is so every girls dream of landing a hot rockstar, but it also shows the unseen side of things, that even though they have lots of money and fame, they are also just the same as everyone else and have the same problems to go through and live with.
I totally loved this story, it may have been a tad predictable, and you just know how things are going to play out but I couldn’t help it and I fell in love with it’s characters all the same. A great fantasy romance that gave me a few hours of easy reading, I only wish that this could have been a full sized novel as I loved it so much.
I love a good rocker read and I was so excited for the single dad aspect. I love this authors writing style. It’s so detailed and you can feel the emotions as the characters do. I was so hooked to this story that I read it twice. The characters are fun loving but you can tell with the guys there is more than meets the eye. Rockers tend to put on a show being what people want them to be. I really enjoyed seeing their other sides and I hope to read more about these boys in the future. This book is so much more than a rocker romance you need to pickup a copy so you can get the full story.
I absolutely Love this book!! Trevor Wood is a rock star and a single dad.
Penelope is new in Seaside moved there looking for an adventure, but never could
Of imagined the adventure she would end up having there. I loved being back in Seaside and seeing many of Rachel Van Dyken’s other Seaside characters, whom I have been greatly Missing. If you haven’t read any of the other books set in Seaside this will surely make you fall in love with Seaside like I have. This book had many sweet moments, some funny moments and several sexy moments. It also had a couple of moments that made me a bit angry, but mostly had tender moments that tugged at my heart strings. I could not put this book down, I stayed up late reading and even kept on trying to sneak more in here and there while at work. It was a fairly quick read with a lot of impact. These Characters and Seaside have and definitely will continue to stay with me and in my heart.
Trevor needs help with his kids and who better than the woman that he just met working at a coffee shop? When Penny left Montana for a fresh start this was way beyond what she was imagining. She fell in love with Trevor’s kids, Bella, Eric and Malcom. I mean who wouldn’t? Such sweet kids who made me laugh and made my heart hurt for them.
Penny couldn’t help it if her mouth dropped open when Trevor changed his shirt right in front of her. I mean come on ABS for days!!! Trevor is actually sweet, loves his kids with his whole heart and will do anything for them. He’s doing the best that he can and he’s such a sweetheart.
With Penny making Trevor’s life easier he starts to dream but he knows what happens when you dream…they blow up in your face. He doesn’t want to dream but he’s having a hard time keeping his thoughts to himself about Penny.
What happens though if your dreams come true but you’re worried to take it with both hands?
Drew freaking cracked me up! Loved seeing the bands and Seaside again!!
I finished All Stars Fall by Rachel Van Dyken in one go. I couldn’t put it down. It has her signature crispy and refreshing writing along with a perfect plot with a little drama, a little swoony emotions and a whole lot of hotness. Rock god single dad meets beautiful, sweet and sassy nanny in this amazing story.
Penelope has made the long journey from Cunningham Falls to Seaside, Oregon to start a fresh life. On her first day as the barista in local coffee shop, she comes face to face with Trevor, the drummer and lead singer of the world famous boy – now all are hot men- band , Adrenaline. Trevor is struggling with an ugly divorce and 3 very trying kids. He is doing his best to be a great dad but he is failing miserably keeping up with the demands of family duty and music creation. He hired Penelope out of desperation but soon they realise their bond goes beyond work relationship. But too many factors are against them.
I have a special weakness for single dads. Add the charisma of a rockstar, body of beast , heart of an angel and mad skills in bed to the list and I am done. And Trevor is everything and more real. The story in dual POV and Rachel Van Dyken goes in and out of their minds effortlessly. Penny is so amazing. These kids are lost and angry. She loves them like crazy and soothes their raw heart. The intensity of their chemistry was sexy as hell. I relished how they try to control and then give in to the emotional storm. I loved Drew! This cocky smooth guy did a lot for their relationship. My heart sank at the twist in the ending and was so relieved when everything played out well. The epilogue was EPIC.
Rachel Van Dyken has written an unputdownable and captivating love story again. The humor, the feelings and the passion were mixed perfectly to create an intoxicating and absolutely amazing romance!
Received ARC for honest review
All Stars Fall by Rachel Van Dyken is part of the Kristen Proby crossover collection. Each novella is a standalone book and they can be read in any order.
Trevor is a rockstar. He’s been a rockstar practically his entire life. But his now ex-wife left, and he’s a single dad with three small children. And his little family is falling apart before his very eyes. He moves them to Seaside, Oregon to get away from the drama and paparazzi of Los Angeles.
Penelope needed to stand on her own. She’s craving adventure…and craving finding herself and her purpose. So she packs up her belongings and moves to Seaside at the request of her cousin. Drawn to her ultimate teen crush, Trevor, and more importantly, his beautiful but sad children, she agrees to be the nanny for the summer.
With chemistry that’s off the charts, can they make this work for real, or is this just a summer fling?
It’s hard to go wrong with any book by Rachel Van Dyken, and this book was certainly no exception. Not only was this part of a crossover collection, but she also brought back the Seaside Pictures gang to boot! There are drama and sexy times, but there are also the humor and quirky dialog between characters that true RVD fans love so much. And yeah, I laughed out loud quite a few times! And honestly…Penelope gets to live the dream every teen girl with a pop star crush dreams of…having the hot, talented singer fall head over heels in love with her. For a quick, entertaining read that has heart, soul, and humor, you won’t be disappointed by All Stars Fall.

An all-new single dad/rock star with an off-limits nanny story from the amazing Rachel Van Dyken!
Rockstar meets Nanny.
Rachel Van Dyken NEVER disappoints and always gets better and better with every book she writes. She brings a story that makes you swoon. From page one, I was hooked. She writes beautiful words that captivated me with every word and a plot that sucked me in. I was captivated by the characters and situations that lead to their HEA. I laughed at the antics of his band members. I cried when the kids showed their love for Penny. So many emotions were felt when reading this book. I would give this book more stars if I could. Truly a story I could read over and over again.
Recital and Penny’s story is one of heartbreak, overcome past hurts, and redemption. They learn what love should look like, regardless of who you are and what your name is. Their attraction is explosive. They become your relationship goal. Such a wonderful and well written story.
This book from the Kristen Proby Crossover Collection is so good that I have gone and purchased the other books from Rachel Van Dyken seaside pictures series. Trevor and Penny are so great and then bonus Bella, Eric and Malcolm. This read I could not put down it was so good. I rooted for Penny the whole time. I am now going to start reading the other books from this crossover series.
