From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken… her dream had been to marry a rockstar and live the high life.
Moving my recording studio to Seaside Oregon seems like the best idea in the world right now especially since Seaside Oregon has turned into the place for celebrities to stay and raise families in between touring and producing. It would be lucrative to make the move, but I’m doing it for my kids because they need normal, they deserve normal. And me? Well, I just need a break and help, that too. I need a sitter and fast. Someone who won’t flip me off when I ask them to sign an Iron Clad NDA, someone who won’t sell our pictures to the press, and most of all? Someone who looks absolutely nothing like my ex-wife.
He’s tall.
That was my first instinct when I saw the notorious Trevor Wood, drummer for the rock band Adrenaline, in the local coffee shop. He ordered a tall black coffee which made me smirk, and five minutes later I somehow agreed to interview for a nanny position. I couldn’t help it; the smaller one had gum stuck in her hair while the eldest was standing on his feet and asking where babies came from. He looked so pathetic, so damn sexy and pathetic that rather than be star-struck, I took pity. I knew though; I knew the minute I signed that NDA, the minute our fingers brushed and my body became insanely aware of how close he was—I was in dangerous territory, I just didn’t know how dangerous until it was too late. Until I fell for the star and realized that no matter how high they are in the sky—they’re still human and fall just as hard.

All Stars Fall is a story of love in the best of ways, the most important ways. A story about what is most important in life. Family comes first.
As always Rachel Van Dyken hit it out of the park with this book. You instantly fall in love with the characters brought in and swoon over some old favorites too. I cant wait to dig in to some of the other books in this cross over and get to know more authors and their characters.
The siren’s call of a new adventure pulled Penelope towards Seaside. The chance for a new beginning was just the thing that Penelope was looking for. With a new job already under her belt, Penelope never expected to cross paths during a day on the job with a famous rock star. After Trevor’s kids came busting into the coffee shop like a storm, Penelope never expected where her path would head next.
As the drummer for the wildly popular band – Adrenaline – Trevor knows a thing or two about someone trying to take advantage of his celebrity status. Nothing could have prepared the rock star for the reality that was headed his way. After raising his children on his own, Trevor is desperate for some type of stability. Little did he know that the nanny of his dreams would be working in the coffee shop!
Nothing about Trevor’s family was ‘ordinary’. Not the circumstances that led to the ban residing in Seaside, or the way rock stars swooped in and out of his house. The one thing that was constant revolved around the dad who was determined to make his kids lives amazing in spite of residing in a single family household. The nanny was a force to be reckoned with. From resolving dinner drama to getting gum out of hair, Penelope was everything that Trevor could ask for. The only problem that plagued Trevor was the insane need to wrap Penelope up and never let her go.
All Stars Fall is the latest addition to the Seaside Pictures collection by Rachel Van Dyken. The novella is packed full of delicious moments from our favorite rock stars that is sure to please any fan of the series. Trevor is the man with a plan, but often finds life in chaos thanks to the three sets of footprints that are never far behind the rock star. All of the children are tormented by the abandonment of their mother, and quickly pull Penelope into their already chaotic life. Trevor and Penelope definitely heat things up behind the scenes, and realize that their attraction is more than a simple fling.
Visiting Seaside is always entertaining, but this recent journey was packed full of antics that kept me glued to my reader!! Trevor and Penelope will captivate you with their untraditional journey towards finding a life beyond the predictable. A GREAT addition to a series that I simply adore!!
After his ex-wife leaves them, rockstar Trevor Wood uproots his life and his children moving to Seaside, Oregon.
A chance meeting with Penelope in a coffee shop has Trevor convincing her to interview to be his childrens’ part time nanny.
After the NDA is signed, Penny realises that she may have signed up for more than she can handle.
Penny is great with the children and they are just too cute. The characters were easy to relate to and totally likeable. Trevor is an awesome single dad and the relationship he has with his children was heart warming.
The chemistry between Trevor and Penny is intense and I loved how it blossomed into so much more.
All Stars Fall is well written and kept me engaged from the first to the last chapter.
Oh how I’ve missed the Seaside gang!! I was so excited to read this cross over and it definitely did not disappoint. If you haven’t read the Seaside series by Rachel Van Dyken I highly recommend it but this novella was a stand alone. I loved Penelope and Trevor’s story. It was funny, sweet and romantic. If your looking for a romantic read with all the feels this is definitely it!!
Single dads, nannies, and Seaside Oh My!… Let me just start by saying that I’ve read both the Seaside Pictures series by Rachel and the Big Sky series by Kristen. This novella has no issue standing on it’s own but is most definitely enriched with the cameos from previous characters that we always love to see. Veterans of the Seaside series will most definitely appreciate it (*hint *hint).
So onto the main event of Trevor and Penny. I’m not going to lie, nannies and single dads always worry me. Will I like it? Will it be creepy? I ended up absolutely adoring Penny. She was the kind of character you envision as a great best friend. You’re rooting for her the entire time. She never got whiny or childish which I really appreciated. Trevor was moderately frustrating- but in the best of ways. I definitely yelled at him to get his act together more than once. It helps that he’s a smokin’ hot Rock-star and doesn’t know how to keep his shirt on. I’m just saying. And the kids! GAH!! They make you want to snatch them up and keep them!
The witty, playful banter that’s been prevalent throughout the series is on point and I can never get enough of those Seaside men. This was a great snippet into the Seaside world. I highly recommend jumping right in!
That’s the short of it. I’m being purposefully vague because no one wants to be a ruiner of all the things. Just read it. Do it. You’ll thank me. I promise.
I love cross over series and All Stars Fall did not disappoint it was everything I expect from this author and a cross over read.
Penelope left Cunningham Falls, Montana to start over because she needed a fresh start but the last thing she expected was to meet a rock star that she crushed over in her youth. After a chance meeting Penny seemed to fall into the job as part time nanny for rocker Trevor Wood and his adorable children and as she settles in at Seaside she realises there is no place else she would rather be.
Trevor Wood’s is getting over a messy divorce and he is trying to bring his twin 6 year old boys and his 4 year old little girl as normal as is possible when you have a rock star as a father could Penny be the perfect mix for his family or will lines be crossed and ruin it all……..
I loved this book, I loved the characters, the wonderful and adorable kids as well as the swoon worthy rockers all had me sighing for different reasons. This story stole a piece of my heart and I’m really not sure I will ever get it back, what a fantastic read All Stars Fall was abd you need to read it……
Seriously my biggest takeaway from this book is that Rachel should write kids more often! This rockstar, single dad, falls for the nanny romance hit all the right notes with me (see what I did there). This book tugged at my heartstrings and had me wanting to scoop everyone up and shower them with love. This might be a novella but I didn’t feel shortchanged at all – I know some people shy away from novellas because they are afraid they won’t be getting a full story, not the case here at all. I finished this book feeling so satisfied, so happy and with my heart filled to overflowing!
Kudos to Rachel & Kristen! All Stars Fall was a perfect blend of each author. Seaside is the perfect place to heal Trevor’s broken heart & family and give Penny what she’s searching for. Swooning over the All. Stars. Fall song:)
Prepare yourself for an ongoing need of swooning and sighing about Penelope and Trevor, the cute couple within this new crossover between Rachel Van Dyken’s Seaside Pictures Series and Kristen Proby’s Big Sky Series.
I mean, seriously, can you resist a sexy single dad, of not one adorable kid but three, who has ketchup smeared all over him? Right, you can’t!!!
Pair this with a down to earth girl, who actually just wanted a change of scenery, which she gets allright, you’ll see *winkwink*, and it is no surprise that as soon the two meet each other it’s super clear that another love story has found its way into Seaside, Oregon.
But Rachel wouldn’t be Rachel if this blooming relationship is not at some point threatened when evil itself shows its ugly-pretty face.
And not forgetting the icing on the cake is another of Rachel’s infamous group text messages between all those hot and sexy guys we grew to love so much within this series. Who would have thought that guys are actually the bigger gossips …
If this is your first trip to Seaside, Oregon, you will be sucked into this world in no time and for sure go back to get to know everyone else. I am right, am I not?
If you’re already a regular you will find that everyone is still up in everyone’s business and a tight-knit group as always. We wouldn’t want it any other way.
Don’t miss out on this enchanting novella!!!
I think it’s a sign of a great story when you finish a novella the same day you start it! It was great being back in Seaside and meeting new characters but also seeing how previous ones are doing. Although this book is short it packs a punch. I rather liked Penelope and her way with people, especially kids and Trevor’s kids certainly make an impression.
Trevor is the drummer and a single dad.
Need I say more??? Lol. What starts out as Penelope working for him as the nanny, things definitely get interesting. Suffice it to say the caring family moments are beautiful and the whole story tugged at my heart. Such a great story and I certainly hope there’s more on the horizon!!
This is the only story I have read in the crossover collection and I can’t wait to read more!
This story is beautiful because more than anything is about the children. This is an incomplete family that is hurting. As an artist and a father Trevor is feeling all of this to the bones. It’s not easy feeling powerless. The children are adorable and so much in need of love. Trevor is completely dedicated to them but they still have a deep feeling of abandonment caused by their mother. And no matter how hard he tries to heal it, it will be difficult to do on his own. That where Penny comes in. Hiring her as a nanny may have seem in Trevor’s eyes as his salvation but he had no idea that he gave her more than a job. He gave her just what she needed. With a unreal ease she is like the balm to their scars. It takes a lot of understanding and a true strong loving woman to heal an entire family. To put strangers first. But she does it out of love and when it is done that way, putting others first never feels like a sacrifice. It all supposedly started with a job but from the first time they met the attraction was there and a little seed of care had started growing.
A sexy rocker, three adorable children and a beautiful barista/nanny come together in a story of love, hope and the chance of a brighter future for all. Penelope recognized him the moment he stepped through the door of the coffee shop where she worked. He was tall, dreamy and sexy and she thought she might faint. What were the chances that her teenage crush was here in Seaside, a place she had escaped to, so she could seek solace and start a new life? Well it was him: Trevor Wood, rock star drummer and from the looks of it a frazzled Dad, when she noticed his children. He certainly needed the black coffee he ordered to keep up with them
Trevor looked at Penelope as if all of his wishes had been granted. He had been blessed with an angel who was sent to him to care for his children and add some normalcy to his life. He was caught up in her bubbly personality, carefree attitude and how she so quickly got along with his children. His prayers had been answered and he knew he had to offer Penelope the job as his Nanny. Did it matter that she was also gorgeous and made him feel alive for the first time in years? He was certain he could keep their relationship strictly professional. Penelope wasn’t as sure as Trevor but she took the job anyway. What could possibly happen? They had his children as chaperones, so everything would be fine.
“All Stars Fall” is a emotional and positive book that I absolutely loved!! I was swept away by the deep feelings between Trevor and Penelope, both trying to find a way to make a better life for themselves. There connection was intense and romantic as well as thoughtful and sweet. This is the first book I have read in the Seaside Pictures series, and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the romantic stories.
Another one of the books in the Big Sky crossover and another success. I think I actually like this one more than the last one I had read from the crossover. In this one Penelope moves to Seaside, OR for a fresh start. That start is at a coffee shop in a small town. However, when Penelope is offered a job as a nanny for the drummer of the boy band she loved she knows that she is in trouble. Especially since his kids are probably the cutest people she has ever seen. As their relationship grows into more than just the nanny and the father they need to figure out if they can both handle a relationship. Since there are three little hearts on the line as well. I read this book in about a day. It was well written and enticing. I highly suggest it to anyone looking to get into these crossovers or any fan of Rachel Van Dyken.
**I received an ARC for an honest review**
For me, the best stories are the ones that reach out and grab your heart, and tap into your emotions and truly make you feel the words on the pages….and All Stars Fall DEFINITELY does just that! From the very first page this one drew me in, and had me completely enthralled with it’s perfectly crafted words and charming characters. I am a sucker for single dad stories and this one was a winner on all fronts, Mr. Trevor Wood had me swooning at first glance, and handing over my heart by the second!! Highly recommend you meet these characters, their heartfelt story is sure to put a squeeze on your heart and leave you smiling!!
