For a first (I’m assuming) novel by this author it was written fairly well. There were some choppy points for me, some filler pages and I wish we could’ve gotten to know some characters more deeply. Some felt like they were involved just to have a storyline plot point later in the book. I felt like Becca moved on pretty quickly after insisting she would focus only on school and for as much as she said she loved Jameson. There are also big gaps of time that weren’t addressed and didn’t make sense to me in the overall storyline. I would be curious to read further novels by the author to see if these writing points were addressed. 3 ¾ stars for this debut novel I received in advance without expectation for review. Any and all opinions expressed are solely my own.
An amazing romance story! It started one way and ended up surprising me. Loved the characters and the direction the author took them from start to finish. My first read by the author and this did not disappoint! I highly recommend this emotional read.
Firstly, I am blown away that this is a debut novel from this author! Becca leaves home in order to pursue her dreams of becoming a chef. This is a well written story which is emotional and pulls at the heartstrings. Becca has a lot of soul searching to do between moving on with the man in her past or the one in her future. There is tad angst in this story, and this is a touching and intriguing read which had me totally enthralled throughout. I cannot wait to read more from this talented author whose work I will be recommending for all readers.
WOW!! What can I say other than WOW. I really enjoyed this book, and it was my first rime reading Lora’s books.
I can’t wait to read more!
Becca has always had a crush on Jameson, and Jameson liked her, but never did anything about it. Until, Jameson comes back into the picture, and Milly makes them meet up again. Jameson confesses how he really feels about her, and Becca can’t hold back any longer. They spend as much time together as they can, until Becca is off to college in RI. Far away from OH. Becca meets Maddox and all seems well, until he keeps going on about his trip to Europe with his cousin Gabe. He only then asks Becca to join him when he gets jealous of Jameson.
Becca finds herself back home as there’s a death in the family, and once everything settles down, she’s back to RI for college. Jameson is on tour there, and surprises her, and something is off.
I’m not going to ruin it for those that haven’t read it yet, but WOW!! Talk about some twists and turns in the story Lora!! I couldn’t stop reading it.
I only gave it 4 stars as there were a few loop holes in the story line, but overall I loved it, and can’t wait read more.
Can Jameson open up to Becca about what is going on?
Can Becca move on from Maddox and his controlling ways?
You have to read this story to find out!!
My fave quotes from the book
1. “First, we will be going through Skyline to get a couple of four-ways and coneys that you can only get in Cincinnati.” – OMG!! I LOVE SKYLINE!! I miss it!
2. On one hand, it’s amazing like your soul recognises the person even before you do. – OMG! I love this quote from this book! It’s so true. When you know, you know.
3. And I snorted. Out loud. In my Macroeconomics class. – I can see Becca doing this, and I laughed so hard at it!!
As a debut novel Lora Logan brings it. She not only delivers amazing angst throughout All She Ever Needed but gives you love, romance and tear jerking moments. You will love Becca. She is a strong lead and is just trying to do what she thinks is right. You feel her love and angst throughout. You watch her lead with both her head and her heart. You feel the passion and you see some warning signs. You love and may even dislike the men in her life Jameson and Maddox. You are taken to many levels and by the end you wont see that one coming. So be prepared and keep a few tissues handy. I really don’t want to say too much because you need to experience this one for yourself. All She Ever Needed is a wonderful journey between where the heart and head can take you. If this is any indication of what Lora Logan brings to the pages then she surely is one to be on the look out for. I for one have found a new author to fall in love with and can’t wait to see what she has in stored in her next books to come.
