All bets are off in this heartfelt romance by New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Probst.Happily single, Harper Bishop trusts in only one passion—her rescue farm and healing her thoroughbred, Phoenix. Her dream is to lead him to the Triple Crown. But how unreachable is it without experience or help? A handsome new guest at her family’s B&B has what it takes to make it come true. And … make it come true. And with his irresistible brogue, warm smile, and soothing touch, he’s a major distraction.

How can she dare to open her heart to a man who’ll be there only long enough to break it?
So Harper and Aidan agree: try to keep it professional, and focus only on Phoenix and the finish line. But along the way, they could also learn a few lessons in love, trust, and taking chances. And, as painful as it promises to be, saying goodbye.

I have come to love this series. A series about falling in love with individuals that because of their careers , responsibilities and /or fears , need to decided whether to leave or “stay” with the ones they have fallen in love. Not always an easy decision and one where hearts are at times broken.
This time the story belongs to Harper Bishop. She’s the last single Bishop sibling and the one whose passion is the rescue farm in their property and the thoroughbred she’s rescued, Phoenix.
AIdan O’Connor is an Irish horse trainer that has left his country after a betrayal that cost him his career . By chance he’s staying in the family B & B when he comes across Phoenix and Harper.
These two are emotionally scarred. Individuals that protect their hearts in order to survive. A horse brings them together but decisions have to be made. Will AIdan leave Harper to once again pursue his career in Ireland, or will he realize that life is more than accolades ?
An engaging story with complex characters as well as endearing animals.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Jennifer Probst does it again in her third book of the Stay series. With her gifted writing All Roads Lead To You is a sigh-worthy gritty romance that will leave you breathless. Probst weaves a story of strength and how letting go of past hurts can only make you stronger. I, personally, have a new love of horse racing and polish chickens. I’m not sure this is the last book in the series, as there was a teeny tiny tease at the end regarding a possible future couple . Can’t wait to see what’s next.
All Roads Lead To You is a wonderful story of rescue, redemption & new beginnings. Harper Bishop runs a rescue operation. She goes to horse auctions to do her best to rescue abused & mistreated animals. Between her brother Ethan & her, they have an attitude & experience at calming & rehabbing most animals they encounter. While visiting a farm she encountered a horse at his worst – malnourished & covered in filth. Now that she’s got him back in form, she needs to find a trainer to see if he can be a racehorse or not.
Aidan O’Connor has traveled to America heartsore & looking for a new start. Something has happened to drive him from Ireland. He’s a horse trainer looking for his next chance after leaving his reputation in tatters at home. After becoming bored staying at the B & B, Aidan ends up at Harper’s rescue barn & encounters Phoenix. He knows the horse is meant to race & he wants to be the one to train him. Can he convince Harper?
I really loved this story. It had it all. Phoenix, Harper & Aidan are all on a similar journey. They all have been hurt & disillusioned & need to learn to trust again. The animals really engage the readers heart & sympathies. They also show the growth & recovery possible. Captain Hoof was hilarious & the idea of him in a chicken costume was funny to picture & made me laugh out loud! The chemistry between Aiden & Harper is off the charts & creates some amazing scenes! This is a great addition to this series!
This book is so much more than a romance. This book is about letting down walls, about trusting and finding the love of your life. We follow a beautiful story, that you will not want to put down.
Harper Bishop loves her life, spending all her time rescuing animals, having a horse farm and being a loner. She loves the animals and she loves her job. She can see the potential of animals who have been a abused and wants nothing but the best for them. What she never expected was for her soulmate to walk through the barn doors.
Aiden O’Connor, hailing from Ireland, is in the states after some heartache. Training horses is his life. And a chance stay at a B&B will change his entire life. Walking into the horse barn and meeting Harper chambers it even more.
We follow as these two get closer through Phoenix, an abused thoroughbred who has all the potential to be a champion. Trust is built, trust is broken but the love between them all will survive no matter what.
Highly recommended.
*I was given a free advanced copy of this by NetGalley in exchange for my honest and voluntary review. All thoughts and opinions are those of my own.*
This was a well-written, entertaining romance. Harper is focused on her rescue farm and has no interest in a relationship. She wants to help the thoroughbred horse she has rescued, Phoenix, and lead him to the Triple Crown, but doesn’t have enough help or an experienced trainer. Horse trainer Aidan has left Ireland and is vacationing in New York’s Hudson Valley before starting a new career in the US. He meets Phoenix and is inspired to help train him to win. Harper and Aidan had to learn to trust each other and open up to each other if they were going to reach their goals. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.
All Roads Lead To You is a book that you open and right from the first page you will savor each and every word that Jennifer Probst writes.
We are getting the final Bishops story and she most definitely has a story of her own to tell. Harper Bishop is a woman that has a heart bigger then she realizes, she feels more comfortable around all her rescued animals then people but her heart will always be where it is meant to be.
Aiden O’Connor is a man looking to find a reason to get back in the saddle literally, but when he comes upon Harper’s family inn and farm he never realizes that not only a woman but a amazing horse might just not heal him but them all.
Harper & Aiden’s relationship starts as two people who are looking to help a magnificent horse named Phoenix but maybe he is helping them in the process.
You will see how this emotional journey they take on will give you that feeling in your heart that this is something so special and you will feel you are living their story along with them.
What I do know that when I closed the book when I saw the words The End it left me with a heartwarming feeling.
Harper Bishop is the youngest of three siblings, she is the loner and runs a small rescue center for abused and neglected animals on the family property next to the family’s B&B run by her sister Ophelia, who we met in A Brand New Ending. Ethan story started the series, with The Start of Something Good, when he returned from war with visible and invisible scars from serving our country he assists Harper with the care of the animals and guided trail horse tours for the B&B.
Aidan O’Connor, horse trainer lad from Ireland who is staying at the B&B (Inn) for two weeks while trying to figure out what he wants to do next with his life that was until the Universe spoke and he met thoroughbred, Phoenix.
This by far was my favorite story maybe because of all the animals HeiHei, (Polish Chicken) Flower, Maximus (horses) Captain Hoof (goat) the dogs, cat, bird, and others. Jennifer Probst shines when she talks about her animal rescues in real life and the saying is true, write what you know and it will always be the best story, the same goes for this one, it’s one of her best stories to date. Now I must go watch Moana!
oved this story….. sensual, descriptive, heartfelt read.
All Roads Leads to You is a part of a series though each book is a standalone story the other stories in the series serves to enhance.
Harper is happy with her life with no complications until Aiden wanders in to the inn. Aiden is looking for his big win to show those in Ireland that he is a “winner” I love the introduction of new family member Captain and all the love he brings with him.
There were many instances where my heart raced to rally for a specific goal. Emotional scenes – sense of belonging, vulnerabilities are displayed as one learns to let go and to follow the path their heart leads them on.
Heartfelt story of believing in order to grow.
“Wounded souls recognize one another”
This was a book that you will not be able to put down. Harper and Aidan both have secrets in their pasts and both feel more comfortable with animals than humans. When their paths collide not only do they prove that winning is not everything but also make their dreams come true. Perfectly created characters filled with depth and honesty combined with a storyline where each page just adds to the emotional journey, and also add a goat in a chicken suit are all significant parts that make this book deserve more than 5 stars. Jennifer Probst never disappoints.
This is the third book in the series and is the last remaining person in the family so am assuming that it is the last book unless we get a book on Chloe even she is not a sibling. This is Harpers story and I always saw her as being strong until I read this book and it broke my heart but made me happy at how resilient she ended up being because of it. Ian had his heart broken in Ireland by not only his fling but more importantly by his best friend. Ian was truly what Harper needed and vice versa, they both grew with their relationship and were able to build on it. A lovely story..Loved reading of the previous couple and was happy to read about the wedding!
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions
I loved this story. It was so beautiful and a wonderful slow burn. This series has been a great one and it is definitely a must read. I recommend this book, this author, and this series.
“They’d ruined everything. She’d be haunted by that kiss for the rest of her days and, God help her, all the nights.”
Harper has one focus in her life – her horses, animals and the farm. When Aidan shows up for a short stay at her family’s Inn, she had no idea how her life was going to be turned upside down.
Aidan had been restless. When he meets Harper, things start coming together for him. Then when he meets her horse, Phoenix, he is sunk. Training Phoenix would be exactly what Aidan needs to find purpose.
There are so many reasons for this not to work. But Harper and Aidan can’t resist the temptation. Will they still be able to have a working relationship when things change in their personal relationship?
I love the Stay series!
Harper prefers animals to people. She runs a horse rescue and takes in all types of animals including a polish chicken and a blind goat. She’s content to live alone—having grown up being bullied and an outcast. Aidan is an Irish horse trainer who is on the run following a fallout out with his partner back home. He ends up as a guest at Harper’s sister’s bed and breakfast. He only means to stay a couple of days but is instantly attracted to Harper and her menagerie of animals.
The thing that I really liked about this book is the horse storyline. Harper rescues a horse that has the potential to be a racing champion. She needs someone to train the horse and conveniently Aidan is there to help. There is great chemistry between Aidan and Harper and quite a lot of emotional angst as is typical with Probst books.
So sorry to see this series come to an end. Although they were each exceptional I have to say this one was my favorite. Aside from bringing back my own childhood memories of the horse racing circuit the love Jennifer Probst shows for rescues is heartwarming. She is a rare gem. Her words are written with so much love you cannot help but fall for each of her characters, animals included. It makes you want to go out and adopt one today. This story was such an amazing story. Aiden and Harper are perfect for each other. Both are so guarded. He understands her like no one ever has. The patience, determination and love they both had for the rescues made this story extra special. You will fall in love from the first word and find it hard to put down until the last. Another winner from Jennifer Probst. Cannot wait to see what she comes out with next.
This is the cutest story about how a spirited, emotionally healing racehorse quality horse brings together two hurt people. Both Aidan and Harper know there is a time limit to their relationship and are wary to cross lines until they can tolerate it no longer. Aiden may one day return to his Irish home leaving Harper to recover from what could be the greatest love of her life.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is my first ARC from Ms. Jennifer Probst but not my read. I have some of her paperbacks in my shelf. I got this ARC from NetGalley. The Marriage Bargain and The Marriage Trap were two of my fave books of hers.
This is the story of Aidan and Harper. He is an Irish horse trainer and she runs a farm that rescues and shelters abused animals… and they developed a relationship because of their love for animals… and so on.
I don’t know if it’s just me but I wasn’t really able to connect with the story at the beginning. It took me about 3 days to finally finish the book and usually when I get excited and connect with a story I’d devour it within a day. I always love a good build-up towards a swoon-worthy love-story but I think it took much time for the characters to evolve? I don’t know… For me, it only picked up around the middle.
The writing was good—of course, duh… but the pacing was much slower than I would’ve preferred. Maybe this book wasn’t just for me.
Favorite Quotes:
Harper’s animals were like a bunch of moody teenagers, hating when their sleep was interrupted even though they got about eighteen hours per day. Harper counted herself lucky if she scored five.
He smiled. Surprise flickered over her face, and then she smiled back. “If this is the way you say you’re sorry, we’re gonna be doing a lot of fighting,” he drawled. She laughed. “Don’t get used to it. I truly doubt I’ll be wrong again.”
My Review:
I’ve frequently noticed Ms. Probst’s name yet All Roads Lead To You was my first time to personally experience her work. I found it to be a pleasantly engaging and easy to follow story that was cast with likable characters, a strong and sassy heroine, and a farm filled with precious and precocious rescue animals including a potential racehorse with a history of abuse and lingering trust issues. The entertaining storylines featured relatable issues for all animal lovers, licks of humor, and a slow build-up to a deliciously steamy romance. Being an animal lover I perked up at each mention of the antics of the comical baby goat Captain Hoof, as well as the phenomenon of Hei Hei, the Polish chicken. I became so curious I felt compelled to Google Polish chickens to get the full effect and found them quite fetching.
I have really enjoyed this series so far. Each book was a prime example of Jennifer’s writing ability and the way she is skilled at writing swoon worthy romance.
It pains me to say that this one (to me) doesn’t live up to the rest of the series. It read really slow for me. I liked the premise of the book but the horse training, shows, etc took away from the romance and relationship. I think, with all of that, it was why the chemistry didn’t show till maybe the last part of the book. I need it from the beginning to get invested in the main characters relationship.
I liked Aiden and Harper but together I had trouble getting behind them. Harper was a little harder and angry/bitter than her siblings. They were stubborn but still had a lot of heart. She never seemed to have the same heart as they did. She needed to loosen up a bit. I like my women strong in my romance books but she was too strong to a point that it kinda killed the chemistry.
Besides this one being probably more of a “me not you thing.” I can see people enjoying this one but it just didn’t click for me. I love Jennifer’s work. Her Marriage To A Billion series. I reread that one maybe once a year. The first one in that series, The Marriage Bargain, is one I consider the gold standard for my favorite trope (Arranged Marriage/Fake Relationship). I look forward to her next book, this one just was a miss for me.
Even though this book is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. I liked the characters, their backstories, and the comradery they shared. The story had a good plot and the topic of animal rescue and horse racing was a refreshing change. The animals were cute, adding funny and touching elements to the story. The love story was hot, but definitely a slow burn.
I have read several books by Jennifer Probst and am a fan. But for me, I really struggled with this book. The pacing was incredibly slow. I don’t mind a slow burn and I’m not one that needs continually hot goodness, but there seemed to be a lot of pages between any action or dialogue. Those pages didn’t seem to contain anything important or was repeating information. I found myself losing interest throughout the story.
I read several other reviews on this book and see that many really liked this book. And yes, there were good aspects to it for sure. But to me, this one fell short of the author’s usual work. If you are looking for a slower paced story and enjoy a slow burn then this might be a story for you to check out.
All Roads Lead to You is the third book in the Stay series by the talented Jennifer Probst. This series is really so fantastic! The Bishop siblings quickly stole my heart. I’ve been waiting for Harper’s story since the beginning. Harper is busy running her family’s rescue farm. She’s more at ease with animals than people and although she shares her Irish DNA with her siblings, she didn’t get the red hair or short stature. She’s tall with dark hair. She never really fit in with the kids at school and she loves her family, but always kept herself a little distant. Now that they have all been working together, she’s opening up more. Especially with her desire to make her beloved horse, Phoenix, a Triple Crown winner. Harper always believed in Fate and when an Irish horse trainer just happens to be a guest at the inn, she can’t deny she needs help. Aidan left Ireland looking for redemption. He left his home and his life to look for another horse to train. Also a believer in Fate, as soon as he sees Phoenix, he knows he’s the one to help him be a winner again. He’s also struck by Phoenix’s owner, Harper. Wow. She’s gorgeous, stubborn and mouthy. Perfect. But after he convinces her and her family to hire him to train the horse, she’s also off limits, at her request. After working all day and living in the same place, their friendship and love for the animals turns into something more. But he’s going back to Ireland. Will Harper survive after he’s gone? Is there anything on the farm that could keep him there? I loved this story! Harper is so tough, but so loving. She’s been through a lot, but she’s stronger because of it. She has good gut instincts and listens to her inner voice. Aidan is sexy as sin, but so good with the animals. He gets Harper and knew she would be worth the wait. I loved that we get to see Ophelia, Kyle, Ethan and Mia quite a bit, and loved all the animals, new and old! Phoenix and Captain Hoof were awesome!! This entire story just warmed my heart and made me hopeful!
A woman could get lost in a gaze that deep. A woman could get found.
A woman could get into trouble.
“This would be easier on my ego if you’d admit you’re having the same problem.”
“You sure don’t know the art of subtlety, do you?”
“No time for that shit. Well?”
“I think this is the strangest conversation I’ve ever had with a man.”
“Are you hot for me, Harper?”
“Yeah.”
“And you’re beautiful. When I caught sight of this beaded top, I almost cried. In a manly way, of course. But real tears.”
