How can she dare to open her heart to a man who’ll be there only long enough to break it?

Another adorable romance in this sweet series!
I was waiting for Harper’s story. And I loved it.
There were so many adorable moments! And funny ones – especially with the animals – Hei Hei and Captain Hoof! I adored them!!!
But I was a bit disappointed too. I almost stopped reading a few times.
Both Aidan and Harper felt this ‘voice in their heads’ telling them that ‘something is coming’. And there’s this religious feeling through the whole book. I hated that! I wanted to throw my kindle out the next window a few times. I can’t stand those kinds of spiritual or whatever things. But I kept on reading because I love that family and that farm and B&B and Aidan was great too – sexy horse-whispering guy with an Irish accent!
It was a sweet and funny and heartbreaking and very horsey & animaly love story!
Great cast of humans and animals!
Also … Hei Hei and Captain Hoof are the best book pets ever!!!!! LOL!
ALL ROADS LEAD TO YOU was an adorable and moving romance! Full of horses and family.
Run to your nearest amazon for your own Aidan – this one is mine! And I want my own baby goat now too please!
5 Star Review All Roads Lead to You (Stay #3) By Jennifer Probst
The characters were strong and well developed, not only the main characters, but also the secondary characters who I hope get their own stories soon.
All Roads Lead To You is a well written, emotional story with hot and sizzling scenes, as well as a great deal of humour and wonderful characters. I really liked Harper and Aidan from the start.
Harper Bishop runs a rescue farm for neglected and abused animals and is focused on returning her thoroughbred Phoenix back to health and perhaps to race. The only problem is she lacks the experience and skills needed to achieve this.
Aidan O’Connor is on vacation from Ireland staying at the Bishop family B & B and farm in New York’s Hudson Valley. He is trying to decide what is next in his future after parting walls with his ex partner. A horse trainer, he has the skills needed to help Harper train Phoenix to reach his potential.
Aidan and Harper connect from the first, but neither are prepared to open themselves up to the possibility of a relationship so they agree to focus on Phoenix. However as they get to know each other, they realise how much they have in common; with attraction and passion soon igniting.
Harper knows it is dangerous to develop feelings for Aidan, after all he will be going back to Ireland so any relationship can only be temporary. Will she take a chance and risk her heart?
Will Aidan’s lack of trust mean that he throws away the chance of love and happiness? Or will Phoenix and the other rescued animals help both Harper and Aidan to learn trust and find love?
I was captivated with this story from the first to the last chapter.
I received an ARC of this book through the publisher via Netgalley
Harper runs a rescue farm for abused animals. She has a horse who was badly mistreated but can see a fire in him. She wants to start racing him and starts researching it. Aiden is staying at Harper’s families inn, and is a horse trainer from Ireland. He is in the states after he and his partner part ways and Aiden is looking for a new start. Both have trust issues but a horse and a few other animals bring them together. Harper knows Aiden is there temporarily and decides to give in to their attraction. As the Kentucky Derby gets closer so do Harper and Aiden. Will Aiden give up his wandering ways or leave the only woman he has ever loved?
Awesome story. I cracked up laughing. Two people who have had rough childhoods but overcome their pasts. Rescued animals. I could not put this book down.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for NetGalley *
I loved that the animals were as huge of a part of the story as their human counterparts. They were quirky and had their own struggles and triumphs. I love that Harper had a rescue ranch and I love the reasons behind why she puts her heart into it. When Aiden falls in love with her horse, I love that his friendship with Harper includes her menagerie of animals. It’s like having kids, but not of the human kind. It’s one big love fest with the humans and the animals. I really enjoyed it.
I loved everything about Aidan’s and Harper’s story. It had it all, love, romance, comic moments and family love! Even though, they tried to ignore the chemistry between them, they couldn’t anymore. The blossoming of their romance and love was slow, but was worth it. I haven’t had the chance to read the two stories before this one yet, but I appreciate how Jennifer explains the background on each couple so you get to know the characters!
I have read Jennifer’s other series and this one does not disappoint! Continue the great work, Jennifer!
Love that you can read this as a stand-alone! Unlike most of the reviewers, I did not read the stories of Harper’s siblings, but I didn’t feel that it took away from my reading of the book at all and I love when an author is able to do that! After a rough childhood while in school, Harper is making up for it by following her dreams as an adult and not caring what anyone thinks. Her passion is rescuing animals, and she spends her days rehabilitating the animals she rescues. Aidan has traveled to the US as a way to run away from his problems and provide somewhat of a fresh start in his career. After staying at Harper’s family’s inn and stumbling upon Harper and one of her rescues, he is drawn to both her and the horse, thus starting the push and pull between the two. With both of them hesitant to give into their feelings, they fight them until they can’t any longer, but previous dating experiences play into their relationship, almost costing them theirs. I really enjoyed Harper’s personality and really felt the emotion of her story coming off the page. Now to go back and read Ethan and Ophelia’s stories!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
If you’re any kind of an animal lover, this is the book for you, and it’s truly something special. Yes, there’s a romance between Harper Bishop, horse owner, and Aidan O’Connor, trainer. However, the true hero of this story is Phoenix, the abused horse turned race horse, and his story is magnificent!
Aidan O’Connor left his native Ireland after a bad incident in his job as a horse trainer and is vacationing at the Robin’s Nest B&B in New York’s Shawangunk Mountains. Also on the same property is Harper Bishop’s horse rescue operation, where she never turns away a creature in need. This includes humans who need help, although Harper resists any part of Aidan being involved when he offers to train her abused, but born to run thoroughbred, Phoenix. Once Harper gets over her initial hesitation, and they both agree to ignore their mutual attraction, she and Aidan make a winning team for Phoenix.
Probst did everything right in this enchanting, captivating story. With flawed but endearing main characters and loveable but a bit quirky secondary characters, I’m not sure I could pick one favorite. Then there are the four-legged characters, imbued with the biggest, heart-tugging personalities that stole the scene every time. Trust me, you’ll never look at a goat the same way after meeting Captain Hoof.
I’m not sure the last time a book enchanted and charmed me while evoking such emotion and leaving my heart with a great big grin. This one is truly in a class by itself, so don’t miss this delightful, heart-warming, phenomenal read!
*I reviewed an early edition of this book freely and voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide feedback and receiving no compensation of any kind from any source.
One eyed goats, Disney names, and blueberry scones…what’s not to love? This is Harper’s story and it was beautiful! This is the third book in the series and the first one that I read. This book can definitely be read as a stand alone. I was never lost for a second while reading this book. Aidan had no idea what he was getting into when he booked a room at the Inn. But one look and conversation with a green eyed beauty changed everything that he thought he wanted. Then there’s, Phoenix. So, being with Harper and Phoenix was a real eye opener. Harper couldn’t believe how this Irish man effected her. Her walls have been built and high since high school. But spending time together helped both them. I really enjoyed this book and I feel it is a must read.
I was eagerly waiting for the next installment to the Stay series. I really enjoy the blend of humor and zaniness that comes out with this family. I especially love the way she finds the perfect connection in a world where you are convinced love is not in the cards for you.
Written with class and style, this story is a beautiful love story between a gal who is hiding her fears and burying herself in work and a guy who finds himself at the right place in the right time.
Finding peace in her horses, she has no time for men. Aidan knows a kindred spirit when he sees one and together a connection is built slowly, one bit of trust at a time.
Probst writes with deep descriptions that toss you right into the Hudson Valley, right into a family that you want to be yours. Supportive, hardworking, and plenty of love is to be found, including all of the crazy animals that roam throughout the story. Hei Hei is also there in all his glory!
Funny, sexy, emotional, and full of scenes that make your heart swell and the tears drop, All Roads Lead To You is a beautiful story set in hometown America and one you will want to read again and again.
Oh how I adore this series and author! Fans who love this series have had to wait a bit for Harper’s story, but boy, was it worth it. Aidan is the wandering soul who has a special gift with training challenging horses, and after splitting ways with his old partner and leaving Ireland, he happens upon the Inn to get some rest and relaxation to figure out his next move, Little does he know, there’s a horse with fire in his soul that needs a trainer like Aidan to take him to greatness right under his nose. Harper is a woman who knows what she wants and has scars from her past to make any man stay away with her aloofness. When these two get together it’s nothing short of a lightening storm ready to hit, heat, passion, challenge, a shared love for animals, and pasts they both need to heal from. I loved this couple, loved the sass, wit, humor and the way they fed off each other. The way he taught Harper about the ins and outs of horse training and winning was incredible, and your heart races right along with them during those amazing times they put Phoenix to the test. The background characters just cracked me up, Hei Hei was still freaking hysterical, the dogs were predictable, and the addition of Captain Hoof just melted my heart, Kyle and Ethan were pretty funny. Incredibly well written, kept me engaged throughout the story, and absolutely loved the ending! Definitely going into my permanent paperback library. Can’t wait for the next installment!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
There isn’t anything I don’t love about this touching and wonderful book. Pet adoption is a very important part of my life and I can absolutely relate to everything Harper had gone through to save as many animals as she could.
Harper had room in her heart for all animals in need and even though space was limited at the barn, she wished she could adopt all of them. Her horse rescue business kept her very busy, especially with the addition of her new horse, Phoenix. Her brother Ethan may be the horse whisperer in the family, but somehow Phoenix communicated to her that he was born to be a race horse. She was in way over her head when it came to his training, until a sexy Irishman found his way into her barn and into her heart.
Aidan entered Harper’s life at a time when he had no idea what direction he wanted his life to take. He was running away from his past, looking to create a future free of drama, deceit and heartache. He fell in love with the quaint Inn and with a beautiful woman who speaks to animals and saves their lives. Will she allow him to hold her hand in the moonlight, or perhaps let him help her in the barn with Phoenix? The barn is a safe haven for both of them and if they are patient, the wisdom of the animals will give them the peace they are both searching for.
Anther amazing story from Jennifer Probst! I’ve enjoyed this series so much!!
Harper is happy with her simple life on the farm rescuing animals. She’s not looking for love, marriage or kids, happy to have short affairs when the right man comes along. Aiden’s looking to make a name for himself in horse racing in the states. After being betrayed by his partner in Ireland, he just wants to find the right horse to train, win, and return home a king. Agreeing to keep things strictly business Aiden and Harper work together to prepare Phoenix to race, Their attraction is too strong to deny, even when it means saying good bye in few months with broken hearts.
This is a great addition to the other 2 books. While they were all centered on life on the farm, this one definitely spent more time with the animals. I absolutely adored Captain Hoof, the visual of a baby goat in a chicken costume made me laugh. Of course Hei Hei is always a favorite, terrorizing everyone new. If you love animals this is definitely a book you want to read, the love and compassion it takes to take in rescues is amazing. I really liked that Harper stated that she wasn’t looking for marriage and that she didn’t want to have kids because she has her animals. I think overall, most romances, the HEA includes marriage and kids, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I also think it’s important to recognize that a lot of people’s idea of an HEA in life doesn’t include marriage and kids, I really appreciate that in this book. The physical descriptors of Harper and Aiden match the couple on the front of the book, which I also really appreciate. Frequently, the cover picture doesn’t match, I think that’s an important detail that gets overlooked too often. Overall, this is a great book, definitely recommend. ARC provided by Netgalley.
4.5 wonderfully addictive stars
Yep, Jennifer Probst is back on track with this wonderful romance with two stubborn characters who are literally made for each other. I don’t think I’ve read a story with characters more perfect for each other. From their love of animals through to their ability to speak their minds and know what the other is thinking. I was itching for them to finally do the deed, talk about a slow burn. I loved Aidan O’Connor, his passion, his love of ALL the animals, and his protectiveness towards Harper (even though we all know Harper doesn’t need anyone to look out for her). Harper’s first love (after family), has always been her farm and her rescue animals, and what a bunch of characters all those animals are, each with their individual quirks and traits. So so funny, I mean a goat dressed in a chicken outfit, it was hilarious. It was great to catchup with all the previous characters on the farm, with the addition of a few newbies to add to the mix. I sure hope this isn’t the last we see of the Bishops and their menagerie of farm animals. A wonderful, lighthearted, sweet read. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
I absolutely loved All Roads Lead to You by Jennifer Probst, it is an incredible love story, and is the third book in her Stay series. I loved the book that I am looking forward to reading the other books in the Stay series. Each book in the Stay series continues to get better and better. I have read other books by Jennifer Probst and always enjoy her wonderfully written stories. Jennifer Probst has once again shown that she is an amazing storyteller. I could not put All Roads Lead to You down. I loved every page. I really enjoy how the book is told from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. All Roads Lead to You is wonderful love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud and the bittersweet moments that cause me to sigh, say aww to myself with tears filling my eyes. All Roads Lead to You is filled with such moments, and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a Jennifer Probst love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. One of my favorite parts is how Jennifer Probst incorporated the title of the book into the love story. All Roads Lead to You is the story of Harper Bishop, who manages the animal rescues for the farm and Aidan O’Connor, horse trainer from Ireland. Aidan trains Kincaid’s Crown to an Irish Derby win, and shortly thereafter leaves for America to find his next opportunity, after being betrayed by his friend and girlfriend. Aidan has booked a room at the Robin’s Nest B & B. As he wanders around the area, he comes across Harper and Phoenix. He sees the potential in Phoenix and wants to train the thoroughbred for racing. The Bishops decide to hire Aidan to train Phoenix and see what happens. It was incredible the changes that took place in Phoenix because of Aidan’s training and suggestions. As Harper spends more time with Aidan as he trains Phoenix, they share secrets that they haven’t shared with anyone else before and they grow closer. I love Elmo, the jockey, and how he doesn’t say much, but what he does say is very meaningful. As they start racing Phoenix, things change between Harper and Aidan, even if it’s only temporary. Aidan’s dream is to return to Ireland a winner. I love that both Aidan and Harper showed their vulnerable sides and that each of them changed because of their feelings for one another. I love how Harper changed, because of her past, she never dreamed of falling in love, marrying ang having children. With the right man, that all changed for Harper and she was willing to let Aidan go. I love how the plot twist forces Aidan to follow his heart and his dreams. I loved that All Roads Lead to You is a more than just a romance, there are dilemmas that both Harper and Aidan are facing that need to be resolved. I love how all the storylines get resolved so incredibly. I love all the descriptions of the Hudson Valley setting that Jennifer Probst details, it makes me want to visit. All Roads Lead to You felt like a family reunion and I enjoyed catching up with the other characters in the series, especially Mia and Ethan’s wedding. I love all the rescues animals with Disney names in the story, especially the baby goat that Aidan rescues for Harper and names Captain Hoof. Especially the impact that Captain Hoof has on Phoenix. My favorite part of the book is the epilogue, I truly love how it goes above and beyond the happily ever after. All Roads Lead to You is filled with the poignant and bittersweet moments in the story as well as the plot twists, that I have come to love and expect in Jennifer Probst’s stories. I am so glad that Harper got the happily ever after that she so deserved. Jennifer Probst truly delivered a book that was so worthy of Harper. I love all the changes that both Harper and Aidan were willing to make in their lives. I love the amazing chemistry between Harper and Aidan. I love the cast of characters in All Roads Lead to You and I am looking forward to reading the remaining books in the series. Who doesn’t love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed All Roads Lead to You, I highly recommend this wonderful romance.
I loved Jennifer’s use of animals as characters. As an animal lover, I recognize all my animals have their own personalities and sometimes their own agendas. It was nice to see that echoed in Jennifer’s writing.
Harper is an introverted woman who was bullied as a child and sought solace in her animals, particularly her horses. Aiden is a horse trainer from Ireland taking a break from life at her farm. He’s always chasing the next big thing, she’s a homebody. Phoenix, the horse we met in the first stay book, brings them together. We ride the excitement of training a horse, winning races, going to the KY derby.
Along the way they find each other and love. A big formulaic with the “ I got my dream job but suddenly realize it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.” But Probsts character development, sense of place and dialogue elevate the story.
Harper and Aidan are two stubborn, set in their ways people who both love horses with a passion that is unrivaled. Harper rescues them, slowly brining them back to life. She sees a fiery passion in Phoenix and wants to see him race like he was meant to before he was abused. Aidan is the perfect man for the job. But that is all she is willing to give him. Even though the attraction is fierce and hard to ignore. For both of them. Aidan is running from something. He chases the next horse, the next win like it’s a high and settling down is the last thing he wants. Ireland, home is his ultimate goal, when he has his reputation back. A menagerie of animals bond them together. Training Phoenix and spending every day together brings them closer and that attraction is harder to ignore. One day or won’t be ignore anymore. But will they survive it? Will they take a chance and let love in? I loved their story and enjoyed catching up with the rest of the family. Always a pleasure!
Another great read and another great installment in this series! Several laugh out loud moments – gotta love the goat! Great characters that you connect with and root for. Fun, light summer read. Definitely recommend this entire series.
