People call me callous. Arrogant. Ruthless. I call myself tenacious. One of the most powerful attorneys in Charleston, I don’t let anyone or anything stand in my way.Until a chance encounter changes everything. One glance. One touch. One night. It only leaves me wanting more. But Grace is off limits. Most people would even say forbidden. Everyone knows an attorney can’t sleep with his client. Too bad … knows an attorney can’t sleep with his client.
Too bad I already did.
And even with the threat of losing everything, I don’t know if I can stop myself from having her again…

All of Me is another hit for A.L. Jackson! I was immediately drawn in and couldn’t put the book down! There are SO many emotions I felt while reading Ian and Grace’s story. This book is emotionally draining (in the best way possible) and left me with a book hangover!! I have always been a huge fan of Amy’s and always will be! I can’t wait to read what she releases next!!!
A powerful and emotional rollercoaster of a read!
All of Me is some of A.L. Jackson’s best work in my opinion. It’s angsty, sexy, and the storyline gets its hooks in you and doesn’t let go. Ian is a sexy attorney on the fast track to becoming partner, when he runs into the enigmatic Grace. She is everything he wants, along with the baggage he thinks he doesn’t want. She’s strong, smart, sassy, and I wanted to be her friend. Together, the chemistry is off the charts. This gripping story will leave you hungry for more of this angsty world!
I’m a beyond speechless! All Of Me was absolutely beautiful! I just… I can’t….gah! No book should be this perfect!!!
5 stars
Ian will do whatever it takes to get to the top. He’s not afraid to admit that he’s done a few less than stellar things along the way. He beds a different woman every night and it’s ready for anything more stable. That is until he meets a woman that completely throws him off kilter.
Grace has her own set of problems that’s she’s facing. Her kids are #1. They take precedence over everything. She’ll do whatever it takes to protect them. Of course, she doesn’t expect the one person that she can’t resist to be the one to possibly help her.
Ian Zian. He has the best nickname give to him by one of the best little girls. It’s one that knocks him on his hind in. He never wanted certain things in life. He knew a happily ever after wasn’t in the cards for him. And he was okay with that. Until Grace came and turned his world upside down. He just has one large barrier in his way.
I loved everything about it. The chemistry, the angst, the unknown. It all leads up to a story that I couldn’t get enough of! Ms. Jackson always creates the perfect stories. All of Me was no different!
We originally met Ian in More Of You as he is Jace’s brother. Ian is driven to succeed in his career as a lawyer however he has many hidden layers. Due to his past he allows very few people close and love and relationships are not in his future plan.
Grace is a woman with secrets who needs help but doesn’t know where to turn. A chance meeting at a gala and the sparks between them ignite into a fire neither expected and are unable to deny.
When it turns out that he could hold the answers to give her the help she needs they must step back and try to make their personal relationship strictly business but when you cross that line how do you go back?
Both of these characters are amazing and the chemistry between them is off the charts. Grace is strong and resilient despite what life has thrown at her and Ian is a good man and others know it, but he needs to realize it himself. Full of twists this story takes you on an emotional journey you won’t soon forget.
A L Jackson continues her Confessions of the Heart series with another stand-alone, this time focusing on Jace’s younger brother Ian, a who – wait for it – HAS COMMITMENT ISSUES. Not only that, he has zero desire to ever have children. So OF COURSE he meets and instantly connects with Grace a – wait for it – SINGLE MOTHER OF THREE.
Grace has her own concerns with romance and happiy-ever-afters, and her reasons are far more credible than Ian’s. Or perhaps “credible” is the wrong word. Understandable, maybe? She does have three kids, and her previous experience with someone who swore to love her and stand by her forever was not what you’d call successful. I liked Grace. I thought she was feisty, even if she tended to operate from a position of fear rather than strength. When she needs to defend herself and her loved ones, though, she does.
Ian is a pretty typical alpha male, so if you go for that sort of thing, A L Jackson does not disappoint in the least. He has that whole “don’t get close to me” vibe going on. He also has mad skills when it comes to rocking the headboard. Bless him.
A L Jackson has a definite style when it comes to writing. Short, choppy, single-lined sentence fragments. My only complaint about those is that she tends to use them for both of her characters. There were times when I’d pick up this book after having tended to life for a few hours, and I needed to scroll back a few pages to figure out whose chapter I was in. The story, though, is one A L Jackson’s fans will enjoy: the hot, distant hero, the warm, cautious heroine, and supporting characters who come to life. Oh, and hot sexy times. We cannot – we should not – forget those.
All Of Me by A. L. Jackson is book 2 in the Confessions Of The Heart Series. This book is a standalone. Ian is a very complicated man. He is torments by the demons of his past. He has spend his entire life searching for power and money. One night changes all that. Grace is looking for a hero and she believes Ian could be that man. These two characters took me on one wild ride. This book is full of passion, suspense and lots of twists and turns. They will leave you breathless. This book will make you believe in the healing power of love again!
How can I put in to words the way this book made me feel? Gripping and intense. Sexy and forbidden. Heartbreaking and yet filled with love and warmth that is key to any Jackson story. All of Me takes the darkest parts of two people’s lives and thrusts them in to the light in order to survive. I cringed, I gasped, I needed wine, and I had a happy cry. This book is downright AMAZING.
He thinks he’s the devil. Ian’s not proud of the life he’s led, though its dark and deceitful, he’s determined to put himself on the path towards his dream and isn’t afraid to cross any line to reach that goal. Including cutting ties with the man who stated him down the road to hell. The last complication he needs comes in the form of one leggy and drop dead gorgeous blonde. Grace is a temptation he can’t afford but one Ian can’t stay away from. When the damn finally breaks on their desires, Ian realizes it put shim at risk for more than he ever could’ve imagined. She needs him as her lawyer and the case is big enough and risky enough to make his career, but he’ll have to let her go once and for all.
Grace is desperate to find someway to save her children for her powerful and evil ex-husband. He’s conniving and threatened her more than once with stealing them away from her. Figures fate would put the man of her dreams in her path as the one man who can represent her. They can’t have more than the one night they shared but there’s an undeniable attraction between them. And though Ian continues to tell her he’s no good for her, he fights for her and her children on every level. He’s mouth wateringly sexy and his heart is bigger then he knows. Grace believes he could be their champion angel to save them all from the true devil.
As paths collide both Ian and Grace have terrible decisions to make. Protecting her children come at a high cost, one that both of them are willing to pay. But Grace has endured hell before and she’s willing to walk through fire to convince Ian he’s more then the devil whispering in his ear. Soon Grace’s secrets become intertwined Ian’s past and he must make the ultimate sacrifice to save her and her children. No spoilers here, you’ll have to grab this amazing story for yourself to find out just what darkness dares to creep up on our hero and heroine. Prepare your tissues and buckle down for one hell of a romance!
This might be my favorite A.L. Jackson book to date (which is saying a lot!). It is a forbidden romance, very angsty, but the journey is so worth it.
Ian Jacobs is a very complex character. His past rules his present and you can’t help but fall for him.
Grace has her own complicated and heartbreaking story. Their chemistry is immediate and you just know that these two people really need each other.
While the story can be heavy and suspenseful, Grace’s children provide wonderful moments of humor and lightness.
I devoured this book and can’t wait for Jackson’s next story!
Another great read by AL Jackson! it was beautifully written full of romance, forbidden moments, heartbreaking, sad, but funny at the same time too! I can’t wait for more!
Grace and Ian’s story will have you on the edge of your seat fanning yourself. Plenty of heartache and healing happening in this page turner by AL Jackson.
Ian is a complex, self-centered lawyer climbing to the top or so it seems. Grace is just that, the epitome of strength and kindness. When their two worlds collide sparks fly and danger rears its ugly head.
All that aside, there are children involved. AL Jackson captures children’s voices and antics like no one else and they will melt your heart.
While I recommend reading More of You (Confessions of the Heart #1) first, All of Me may be read as a stand alone.
All of Me is Ian’s story. We met Ian in the first book, More of You. He is the younger brother of Jace Jacobs. Jace and Ian had a very rough childhood and he isn’t interested in loving anyone or being loved by anyone. The only people he has let in is his brother and his brothers wife and kids. Ian is an attorney that has done some shady stuff. He meets Grace at a party and is instantly attracted to her. Grace is the ex wife of a powerful man who is fighting for custody of her kids. I honestly loved all the main characters (Ian, Grace and Grace’s three kids) Ian had an awful childhood and I felt horrible for him. Totally understood how he became the person he has. Grace is a wonderful mother who fell for the wrong man the first time around. I thought her love for her children was very admirable. She’d literally do anything for them. However, the first half of the story wasn’t enjoyable for me. I had a hard time understanding their insta lust. They literally just saw one another at a party and then they HAD to be together, I wasn’t buying it. It didn’t match up with who Ian was. The second half was much better. By then I could understand their situation and their relationship made more sense. I liked the suspense aspect of the story and I liked seeing Jace and Faith from the first book. The story was definitely worth reading and I do recommend it.
5+ stars!!
All of Me completely blew me away!! It was simply stunning. Beautifully written with the right amount of angst, love and drama. There was also a forbidden element that I couldn’t get enough of. It’s been more than a week since finishing this book and I’m still not over it. If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. Some of A.L. Jackson’s best work!
A.L. Jackson showed no mercy on my emotions. It was one punch to the feels after another. There were a couple times where I was so overwhelmed by everything I was reading that I was forced to put my kindle down and regroup. I straight up ugly cried my way through most of this story. So worth it though. Gah! Just thinking about it is stirring up all those emotions again. Such a good book.
When we first met Ian Jacobs in More of You, he had a dark bad boy aura surrounding him. I knew his story was going to rock my world. I was right. This guilt ridden, driven bad boy who so inherently good just won my heart. His constant battle with himself over wanting Grace but knowing he shouldn’t have her built an absolute delicious tension. I loved his connection with her. It was definitely an instant attraction but it didn’t feel like cheesy instalove story. Their connection was full of passion and want and heart. The forbiddenness of their relationship only elevated the story. A.L. Jackson did a great job making these characters so well rounded. If you are looking for a heroine who is all strength, heart and determination, then let me direct you towards Grace Dearborne. She’s my favorite character in this story. Although I really really loved Ian, I loved Grace more. When she was close to losing everything she fought harder. Her relationship with her children and the dedication to them is so beautiful. Love, love, loved her.
I cannot recommend this book enough. It’s just so freaking good. This Confession of the Heart series is some of my favorite work from this author. I can’t wait to see what’s next.
As an avid AL Jackson fan, especially the first book in this series, I was super excited to get Ian’s story. Not going to lie, took me a little bit to get into it, however did it ramp up and end with a bang! I did NOT see some of that stuff coming. The pull between Grace and Ian is just sparkin! Like you can see that lightning bolt hit both of them when it comes to each other! I think the one thing that drew me into this story the most was Ian and how his character grew and developed. How he broke his own rules because he never felt anything like he did when he was with Grace. The whole story behind Grace is heartbreaking. I really wanted to smack Reed upside the head on more than one occasion!
Overall, this was a heartbreaking and emotional story that will really tug on your heart strings. It will show you how far someone will go to protect and help the ones that they love. Ian does just that even though it destroys his life in the process. But in the end, it was beautiful and oh so stunning! I highly recommend this one!
This is the second book in the Confessions of the Heart Series. We met Ian in All of Me which was Jace’s story, it was very clear that Ian was very broken which happened when he was a little boy. So, I was so ready to see what the author had in store for us. I think this is a story for the most part one should go in blind. It was a real page turner on the edge of your seat kind of story.
This is Ian and Grace’s story two extremely broken people that just by chance run into each other at a benefit and instantly the sparks fly. The direction that the story takes from here well buckle your seatbelt you are in for a bumpy ride!!
Grace and her three adorable children need Ian’s help in the worse way, but Ian knows that it is not at all the smart thing to do. But between her children being loving and funny and feeling like there is just something about Grace that draws him to her and against his better judgment he decides he has to help. He knows that they are in danger from her dangerous ex-husband. I will not spoil this story for you!
There needs to be a whole lot of healing, how can Ian not see what a kind heart he has, he such a protector and Grace is so sweet and just has so much love to give and needs some given in return. Her grandmother is amazing to her and the kids!
When Ian came to the house to talk to the children I could not stop snickering of his internal monologue. The two girls were great. And the son well he reminds Ian of himself at that age he can relate to what he is feeling.
Loved catching up with Jace as a Dad, Faith, and especially Mack his book is next!
The epilogue was the absolute best part of it surprised me!
AL Jackson always captivates me with her poetic style. Her lyrical style never fails to add another emotional layer to story.
Ian is callous, ruthless, wants to be the best. He’s a lawyer waiting to be a partner. His story is complex. When he meets Grace she is his exact opposite – she’s lovely, spring and kind. These characters have been through so much strife in their young lives that when they have a chance meeting, it’s life-changing. Everything that follows them is romantic, suspenseful and mind-blowing.
I’m in awe of AL Jackson’s brain and her originality of her characters and stories.
All of Me is the second book in the Confessions of the Heart series by the fabulous and talented AL Jackson. First, let me say that this book is one of my favorites of hers. Second, Ian is definitely one of my favorite heroes of hers right next to Jared. Third, AL Jackson is one of the finest writers there is. The way she uses words, feelings, emotions, to make you hold your breath, gasp in relief, choke out a sob and smile. Just when you think your heart can’t take anymore, she adds something. A word. A whisper. A look. It beats out of your chest and lands in your hands and then she puts it back for you and it swells to twice its size. My heart had already been beating for Ian Jacobs before I read his story. After meeting him in More of You, I knew his story was going to slice me open and leave me panting for air. He’s so broken, battered and hates himself. He sees things in himself that no one else sees. His brother Jace and his wife Faith and his best friend Mack love him unconditionally. He doesn’t think he deserves it. He’s the devil. He doesn’t need anyone. Until he sees Grace from across the room. He doesn’t just want her. He needs her. He can’t stop thinking about her and that’s dangerous. She could be the thing to ruin him. He already knows he’ll ruin her. But he can’t stay away. The pull is too powerful. The chemistry too hot. Grace can’t take chances with her own heart. She has little hearts depending on her. She needs help. She needs a good lawyer, a wish and a prayer. But she’s off limits to him personally once he’s agreed to help her. He gets deeper and deeper inside her situation and there’s no way out. There’s danger all around and he’s vowed to protect her and the people she loves. What happens when the worst scenario becomes truth? Will Ian be the man he’s always meant to be? Show the world that he’s not the devil? I can’t even express how fantastic this story is! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I couldn’t hold back the sobs and tears and I thought I was going to have a panic attack at the end! Amy never disappoints and I know she’s going to give me what I need in the end, but she’s always going to put my heart though the ringer first. Ian Jacobs owns me. Period.
“Men like you should come with a warning.”
“I think it’s a woman like you who bears all the threat.”
“How’s that?”
“You’re so sweet that you don’t have the first clue just how dangerous you really are.”
Gah, what an emotional roller coaster!! I’ve got all the feels going on in me like a blender mixing it all together! The road they had to travel was so intense, both good and definitely bad, but holy cow was it worth it. Grace is a pillar of strength, full of fight even when it feels like there’s nothing left. And Ian…my gosh I’m just over the moon over Ian. Between his sad & brutal past, his complete confusion over how he feels, and his sacrifice, he has won a place forever in my heart! This book was amazing, as is the author, A.L. Jackson, who wrote it. Just simply amazing. But do your best not to read at work. Those emotions hit you out of the blue sometimes!
The Confessions of the Heart series is typical AL Jackson goodness. A steamy romance between a troubled man and a woman who is in trouble and needs him to rescue her. It sounds a bit cliche, but she makes it work every time. Ian and Grace are both people who have had touch lives and are both trying to do what they can to survive. Ian has had a hard life and has done some things he isn’t proud of. Grace was has just divorced a terrible man who just wants to punish her by taking their 3 kids away. Grace finds Ian just when she needs him and begs for his help. The ensuing drama brings them together in the most satisfying ending. If the cover alone doesn’t grab your attention and make you buy it, the promise of a wonderful love story should do it.
A chance meeting. An illicit proposal. Intrigue. Suspense. Heart-wrenching emotions. All of Me was everything!
…the man was the messenger of seduction with the way he was whispering promises at my skin. “I’d make you come again and again until the only thing you knew was the pleasure only I can give you. The feel of my hands and my cock and my skin and our bodies giving in. It’ll leave you with a memory you’ll never forget.”
If I had to make a short list of favorite authors, A.L. Jackson would be among those I listed. I’ve been a lurker on her social media sites for some time. As a matter of fact, after the first book I read, A Stone in the Sea, I literally checked every day for nearly a year for its conclusion, Drowning to Breathe, to release. Every. Day. That’s the kind of dedication I felt after just one book by this author. It’s true I haven’t been fortunate enough to read all of the books in her catalogue, but of the eleven I have read, All of Me is my all-time FAVORITE book written by A.L. Jackson. It was supremely sexy and the story keep me to the edge of my seat. Truly, I couldn’t put it down. A.L. Jackson writes the most delicious romances and as much as I have loved every book she’s written, there was something undeniably remarkable about All of Me. The story is mind-blowingly good and the writing spectacular. And I love that All of Me was a second chance romance for both characters.
Ian Jacobs:
Callous. Arrogant. Ruthless.
Grace Dearbourne:
Beautiful, inside and out. A battered Cinderella. My broken angel.
Without a doubt, A.L. Jacksons characters inspire you to fall head-over-heals for them. All of Me was no exception to this and in fact, Ian Jacobs was my favorite male protagonist to date. He’s broken and damaged. He left me drooling like a dog after a bone… he’s just that damn hot! And Grace Dearborne juxtaposes Ian’s character perfectly. She’s the Angel Girl to his Devil. Gah, they were perfect together! Be prepared to need a change of panties—if not BOB or a cold shower—after you start reading All of Me because it. Is. HAWT!!! The chemistry between Ian and Grace will ignite your kindle. What is more, the depth of emotion in this book is staggering. I literally sobbed at one point. Grace’s plight is going to wrap itself tightly around your heart. I have no doubt you will be just as obsessive as I was with Ian and Grace finding their HEA.
Do. Not. Wait. Buy All of Me right now and start reading. This book deserves more than five stars…
Excerpt:
He brushed back a lock of hair at the side of my face, his mouth taking its spot, the heat of his lips caressing across my skin. “I’m the devil.”
There was no lightness in it.
No playful caress.
It was bitter and hard and ugly.
This was the guy who’d first propositioned me at the bar that night. The one who’d outright warned that the only thing he wanted was to use me, fine with the idea of someone using him.
But I was coming to the quick realization that guy was really the illusion. A mask that wasn’t real. Bred for cover and protection.
“I don’t believe you,” I whispered.
Because I’d already seen it—something good. A flash of vulnerability.
He leaned in closer, sliding his hand across the fabric until our fingertips were touching. “You should.”
I gulped and pushed out the words, barely heard as they fell from my tongue, “And what about the guy who asked me for a chance? For someone to believe in him? The guy who wants to be worth it?”
Ian angled his head, his voice the rasp of a murmur across my cheek. “He’s praying you won’t hate him when you really get to know him.”
