People call me callous. Arrogant. Ruthless. I call myself tenacious. One of the most powerful attorneys in Charleston, I don’t let anyone or anything stand in my way.Until a chance encounter changes everything. One glance. One touch. One night. It only leaves me wanting more. But Grace is off limits. Most people would even say forbidden. Everyone knows an attorney can’t sleep with his client. Too bad … knows an attorney can’t sleep with his client.
Too bad I already did.
And even with the threat of losing everything, I don’t know if I can stop myself from having her again…

“Slowly, slowly, she turned to look at me. A battered Cinderella. A broken angel. And there I stood, the devil in sheep’s clothes.”
Wow!! I thought Jace and Faith had a story for the ages, but Ian and Grace held my heart and never let it go!! How the story intertwined and panned out was genius and expertly woven. The push, the pull, the suspense, the absolute fire of this couple was enrapturing. I couldn’t put it down, I was lost in their heartfelt, sinfully sexy story. I absolutely loved their climb, their fall, and then their resurrection, it left me speechless!! Both books an absolute must-read, and I can’t wait for the next one!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!
“Tingles sped, fire across my skin. With the stark expression that took hold of his gorgeous features, I knew I was in trouble. This man was going to devour me.”

IAN’S BOOK!!
We already met lawyer Ian in his brother Jace’s book. Now he’s telling us his own story.
He’s a successful lawyer in Charleston – he wants to be the best – and he’s almost made it.
He doesn’t do love and feelings and stuff like that. He learned early on in life that he could only trust himself and his brother and his best buddy. And now there’s his brother’s new little family too. He loves them, but that’s it. There’s no room for more complications in his life.
Enter Grace.
They first meet at his firm’s charity gala. But she ran away scared when she saw someone in the room – someone she’s very afraid of. That’s why she so badly needs a lawyer.
There’s this mega-insta-attraction between them, but Ian would never start anything with a client. And taking her on as a client could destroy his career – the only thing he ever wanted in life.
But the attraction is way too intense to ignore.
What will happen with Grace & Ian?
Will there be a HEA for our two darlings???
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!
Well, that was adorable! And scary and sweet and intense and sexy and sad and heartbreaking.
I really adored Ian and Grace and all the kids!
It was a great romance – you just have to keep on reading to find out how we can get Grace out of that horrible guy’s clutches – all without losing the kids and Ian’s career … and our lives.
Very exciting! I really enjoyed the story!
Rant following – please don’t be offended dear Author – I’m very weird, but I really like your stories and I will keep on reading them, but I just have to say it – nobody else seems to do to it
Like with all AL Jackson books … it’s not my kind of writing style. It’s a horrible writing style for my weird brain. It’s way too poetic – all those 1/2/3/4-word lines. Sometimes seven lines in a row with only a word or two – ugh. And the leaving-out-the-first-word-of-a-sentence thing she does. HORRIBLE! Why do you do it??? It’s completely destroying my reading-flow!
It feels to me as if AL Jackson went to a creative writing college class twenty years ago and the teacher was horribly untalented but AL Jackson loved it all and uses everything she learned in every book she writes. WHICH is totally her right and I’m sure most readers love it – but I just can’t. The book could’ve been 150 pages shorter and it would still be a great story. I started to mostly read the lines where people talked to each other pretty early on in the book – I’m sure I missed a few facts along the way, but it was way better than reading all that poetic filler stuff.
BUT – as I said before – I really liked the book .. I loved Ian and Grace. All those adorable Ian & kids moments! Ugh. Swoon! I even cried some – ok, a LOT – of tears while reading it!
Ian has a lot of healing and un-guilting to do before he can ride off into his happily ever after sunset with his new family – but he’ll get there. And we really enjoy reading about this journey!
ALL OF ME was a really adorable & exciting love story! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Ian – this one is MINE!
All of Me by A.L. Jackson is the most emotional book that I have read this year! Ian is my favorite dark hero. My fallen angel. A.L. Jackson broke my heart ten times over with this story. When I could not read, my mind stayed stuck from where I left off and could not for the life of me imagine how there could be a HEA. Grace is just the best heroine and the strongest. I love her babies so much and my heart soared for them.
The pain that these characters endure will have you right along with them. The drama the story brings leaves you wondering if these characters will ever get to be in the sun. I honestly could not think of an out for Ian and Grace. The shadows that lurked has me trembling. I was so invested in this book I could barely put down my kindle. I guess adulting is important ;).
Ian took my breath away and got underneath my skin. Grace had the strength that you can feel from the words. All of Me is an emotional and dark story. You get sucked in it all. But these characters give the reader the hope and truth. This war of Love will leave you a bit damaged, but it can also set Ian and Grace free. This book deserves more than 5 stars, it deserves 10!
“Attraction. So fierce and instant I’d known it could lead to nowhere good.”
This author is blowing my mind with her Confessions of the Heart series. It’s full of…everything. So much pain and passion. He warned her away and pulled her in at the same time. He knew he didn’t deserve her, but he couldn’t stop wanting her.
There’s not much I can tell you because the author is purposely vague in her synopsis, not mentioning the names of the characters. I can tell you that I met him in More of You. He is beyond broken and very determined to accomplish his goal of reaching the top of his profession. He is a loner, not willing to open himself up to relationships.
“All those scars lining his back flexed and curled, hidden in the ink, haunted memories that couldn’t be found. Demons howled as they dragged me into his darkness…”
OMG! I fell so hard for these characters. I confess, I was plotting murder in my mind. So immersed in their lives that rage fueled my thoughts and I was ready to throw my shovel in the trunk and say to hell with the fact that I look bad in stripes. I would prefer a #TeamForbidden t-shirt, but convicts can’t be choosy, right?
Let me just say, be prepared to have your mind blown and your heartstrings pulled. You’ll feel emotions so strong that you won’t be able to sleep because everything will continue replaying in your head long after you turn that last page. You need to read this story. It can be read as a standalone, but it would be a shame to not start the series at the beginning and fill your heart to capacity with the goodness of both incredible tales. I’m sooo excited to report there will be at least one more book in the series about a support character that I’ve already fallen for. I can’t wait to learn his secrets and meet the woman that deserves him. The line forms here…
5 He Broke All His Own Rules Stars!!!
I absolutely loved this story so much!! Ian is a man that doesn’t believe in love nor does he want it, especially with a woman that has kids….but sometimes our heart leads to exactly the place we’re supposed to be and in this case it’s with Grace and her children.
This book gave me all the feels. And there were tears too because oh my goodness the twists and turns in this book had me clutching my heart at times. There’s only so much I could take. Admittedly I had to put my kindle down a time or two because I was overwhelmed. But I came back and dove right back in. I loved Grace so much. She’s a true mama bear doing anything and everything necessary to protect her children.
The vulnerability that Grace and her children bring out in Ian shocked me and him!! He so wasn’t in line for an instant family. Theirs was a slow building relationship which is exactly how it needed to be for Ian. Ms. Jackson wrote him perfectly with all his intensity, grit and sometimes insensitivity. But watching him change through the pages of this book was a true joy. Everyone needs love in their lives even if they don’t think so and Grace is just that woman for Ian. It’s been several days since I finished this book and it’s still on my mind.
I’m not sure how long it’s going to take me to recover from this one, but I’m working on it so I’m ready for Mack’s book!!!
This story was gutwrenching. The things that Grace and Ian have been through and are going through felt so overwhelming to me as a reader.
I had to take some breaks while reading because it is a heavy story but very suspenseful.
The other characters in this story will steal your heart.
The stories in this series have been so complex and full of emotions.
When all is said and done, it was so fulfilling to watch Ian’s transformation.
AL Jackson has done it again. I absolutely fell head over heels for Ian and Grace’s story. He the devil in disguise and she the broken angel.
I had high expectations for Ian and Grace’s story and AL Jackson didn’t disappoint. She was able to masterfully weave a story of angst, sex and love. All of Me is now at the top of my list of best reads of 2018.
All of Me by A.L. Jackson is the second book in her Confessions of the heart series and can easily be read as a standalone. The first book is More of You.
All of Me tells Grace and Ian’s story.
Grace is a client and totally off limits. Too bad they already spent a night together. But now Grace and her three kids need his and only his help.
Ian Jacobs is a man who’s focused on his career and not much else. He’s the most powerful attorney in the city, ruthless and driven, more than successsful. That all is about to change when he meets Grace, who isn’t looking for a relationship, love or a HEA. She needs a savior ands the enigmatic attorney will be just that, only both don’t know it, yet. What they know is there’s crazy hot chemistry between them. The battered cinderella and the knight in not so shining armor.
All of Me is my favorite read in this series so far. I loved the excellent writing, the author’s poetic words and her wonderful raw and gritty characters , the story full of twists and unexpected turns gave me all the feels. It made me laugh, swoon, sad, and at some point I was angry at the characters. I give 5 stars and can’t wait to read the next book, Mack’s story.
All that Grace wants is to save her family. So she reaches out to Ian, a powerful and brilliant attorney, to help her. But can they resist the attraction between them? Can they risk everything?
I loved All of Me with all its drama, angst, intensity, and emotion. Ian and Grace’s beautiful story pulled me in from the first page and I couldn’t put my Kindle down.
Ian has been through a lot his whole life but he came out on top. He’s a successful man, but there’s something missing in his life. When he meets Grace, everything changes.
Grace thought she had it all, but she was wrong. Now she’s fighting for her family and her children. She’s a fighter but also very sweet and kind.
A.L. Jackson delivers another beautiful story with amazing characters. All of Me will take you in an incredible and emotional journey that will make you cry, laugh, swoon and scream. Your heart will break along the way, but in the end it will be pieced back together with all the love you’ll find between the pages of this magnificent book!
Forever and Ever.
A.L. Jackson is known for her ability to reduce her readers to a puddle of tears, lust, and feels. All of Me is no exception. It’s a beautiful second chance at life, love, and more. It’s fraught with tension, fear, and an evil lurking in the shadows. But it’s filled with the innocence, beauty, and hope only children can bring.
Everything about this book pulls you in. It winds itself around your “animal self”. Lust swirls in your stomach. Need furrows through your limbs. Protective anger boils through your core. Absolute satisfaction and love with give you an all encompassing glow.
Just know that All of Me will have you Forever and Ever.
Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
“I warned you who I was.” Selfish. Greedy. Incapable of love. The devil.”
AL Jackson writes an angsty steamy filled tale filled with conflict that has enough steam and humor to keep the reader coming back for more. While I loved the hero and heroine, it was really the children of this story who stole my heart with their open, pure ability to love. And forgive.
AL Jackson’s prologues get me EVERY SINGLE TIME! The insights readers obtain about one or both of the main characters allow us to understand how the past has shaped their present as well as why they live the way they do, never considering that things could be different for them until they meet someone who calls to/speaks to their soul, and even then, it’s a tenuous path – one that could suffer irreparable damage at any time.
Ian Jacobs has been singularly focused on becoming a powerful and successful attorney for quite some time, and it’s his work ethic and his determination to be the best that allows him to keep his demons at bay, his secrets hidden, and his emotions a non-factor. But the scars of his past keep Ian beholden to them and for the longest time, they have been an albatross around his neck, forcing him to remain at a distance to all people, especially women…until her.
Just like Ian, Grace wears the war wounds of her past and it’s incredibly difficult and at times debilitating to shed those battle scars, but unlike Ian, Grace can’t allow her issues to dictate her life or at least she can try her hardest to push through the pain because as a single mother of three little ones, her focus is on their protection, their happiness, and their growth, which means that she’ll fight with every ounce of her being for them, even if that means sacrificing herself…even if it means asking for help and admitting that she can’t get through this rough patch on her own.
Ian and Grace are definitely bent characters, but I don’t see them as completely broken ones because they keep pushing forward…they keep working to improve their circumstances, and even though they are struggling to find a way out of their confusing and chaotic present, it’s beyond clear that their professional relationship can’t overpower their personal one, which proves that what’s been building between them is something that they can’t and don’t want to stop, giving Ian something else to focus on and making him realize that Grace and her kids just might be worth risking his livelihood, his solitude, and especially, his heart.
Confessions of the Heart is the perfect series title for these gritty, emotional, and angsty romances that A.L. Jackson crafts for her readers. All of Me is an emotionally charged story filled with suspense and devastation and it speaks to the idea of redemption and the possibility that someone can be redeemed despite a past filled with secrets and sins.
And let me tell you, Ian and Grace more than prove themselves to be worthy of love, happiness, and a happily ever after where all their dreams come true.
4.5 Poison Apples
All of me is about second chances, overcoming obstacles, and doing whatever it takes for the ones you love.
I fell deeply in love with Ian and Grace’s heartbreaking and at the same time heartwarming story!
Ian and Grace will steal your heart, rip it to shreds and then fight to put it back together.
This is some of A.L. Jackson’s best writing. A story that will stay with you for days to come.
I WAS UTTERLY CONSUMED BY ALL of ME by A.L. Jackson… The feels that came with reading this AMAZING STORY has brought on a gambit of emotions that tore through my soul with a vengeance…

10 LOVING STARS FOR IAN JACOBS… #IanisLIFE
If you thought Jace was your favorite Jacobs brother just wait until you meet Ian, your heart just won’t be the same. Ian and Grace’s story was definitely one that will pull you in with the drama, angst, pain and passion that you will feel down to the depths of your soul. I was so immersed in this story I couldn’t put the book down, it gave me all the feels yet had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation. This story was gripping, all-consuming, heart-stopping and an altogether breathtaking love story about second chances in life when you find the one that makes you want to be a better person. Plus how can you go wrong with three adorable, funny little ones that will have you laughing out loud! Take a chance on Ian and Grace they are worth the risk!
I wish I could give this book more than 5 STARS.
This is the first A.L. Jackson book I’ve read/listened to and I loved every minute of it. Ian and Grace were two characters with a lot of darkness in their past. The difference between the two was that Grace was a fighter, stopping at no length to escape her very powerful and corrupted husband and keep her three kids safe and away from their cruel father . Ian, while also a fighter, he was arrogant and held on to hate and anger from his past leading him to making some very bad decisions in his life. When Ian and Grace meet by chance, Ian’s attraction and lust is immediate, leading him to do things he always told himself he wouldn’t do. Grace was everything he didn’t know he wanted. He was the only man willing to help Grace in her custody battle, even if it costs him his career, freedom, or even his life.
This book was full of corruption, abuse of power, hatred, pain, betrayal, and sorrow, but it was also full of love; love between brothers; between brothers and sisters; between friends, family, and love between a man and a woman who would end up risking it all for one another. This book was emotionally gripping from the very beginning. The anticipation of now knowing what was going to happen next, had my heartbeat accelerating and my emotions out of control.
99.9% of the time, I never start a book that’s part of a series because my OCD will kick up a notch, or two, or ten, and I will drive myself crazy as I need to start with the first one. I will definitely be reading book 1 and a lot more books from this author.
This is book 2 in the CONFESSIONS OF THE HEART Series and follows Ian and Grace. They stumble upon each other at a charity gala but she disappears into the night Cinderella styles. He seeks her out and their love story begins.
“He was in a position of influence over me and god I felt influenced.”
Theirs is a love that is so hard fought for. It is a real journey for these two and I was cheering them on every step of the way. There are no spoilers here but just know that the side characters are some of the most gorgeous ones of Amy’s I’ve read yet. Once again she not only gives us complex main characters with dark secrets and pasts that they are trying to outrun, but also beautiful side characters that will make you laugh, but pull at your heart too.
This book is the perfect mix of suspense and emotions and tenderness and pain and laughter and steam (er hello, I’m not gonna be able to think of anything but THAT scene when I go for my next wax!!) and moments where you just want to scream and throw your phone/book/E-reader clear across the room but don’t worry it will all be resolved in the end. The pictures Amy paints with her words are vivid and the emotions she describes are raw and there for the feeling. I love her style of writing. It’s lyrical, has a wistful, dreamy quality, but can be brutal while being poetic. It is an oxymoron of and in itself.
Joe and Andi bring Ian and Grace to life along with a whole cast of side characters. We get to feel what they are feeling and see what they are seeing. They build the tension in their performances and give us the answers we are looking for with all the intricacies necessary to do Amy’s book justice. Yet another amazing audiobook from these two seasoned narrators.
A story that will have you reaching for the tissues, screaming into an empty room and feeling a little hot and bothered! A book with just about everything.
Must Read Beautiful Love Story
I’ve always been a firm believer that the first book in any series would always be the best but … Mrs. Jackson has proved me wrong. This IS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I have read!!! Grace and Ian’s characters split my heart in two with the overwhelming love and passion they held for each other. Regardless of the extreme difficulties they each faced their love remained. The heart wants what the heart wants .
I was so invested in this book not only because of the swoon worthy romance but because I was left wanting, no needing, more! So much suspense, mystery, heartache and tears so many tears. I felt their heart ache and pain and wanted to jump in the story and fix it all and make it all go away especially when those sweet sweet children were involved.
I swear I’m going to develop a heart condition one day with all these emotions flooding my heart. It’s all worth it though because it is after all self inflicted. Thank you, thank you Mrs. Jackson for bringing your gift of great story telling to my little world.
All of Me – (Confessions of the Heart #2) – A. L. Jackson
Ian may not be a Prince among men, in fact he doesn’t think he is a Prince at all but when his story is said and done he might just find that his inner self has always been someone’s Prince.
Ian’s life for the most part was for lack of better words, crap, awful, disgusting. That a child suffered and lived the way he did and made it out and made something of himself was amazing. But the hardness, the bitterness, the negativity he has brought with him into adulthood…how can he ever find any kind of happiness in his life. He is driven; he works hard, plays harder and often skirts that thing gray line between legal and illegal.
When he sees Grace at a gala in Charleston his baser self takes him right over to where she is sitting. The pickup lines didn’t work and even though he kept trying she was going to have nothing to do with him. Until she noticed someone across the room; and fled the ballroom, just like Cinderella. Ian followed her; there was no pumpkin though, but a shoe that gets caught in a crack in the pavement. Like the prince he isn’t, Ian does help Grace up and she drives away, Ian finds her wallet and a card that were hiding under her car and now he had a way to find her. He also had that lost shoe.
Grace, she is soft, sweet, a loving mother, she is grace under fire. She has 2 darling daughters and 1 son and she is in for the battle of her life against her ex-husband who is trying to get custody of their children.
As lust and attraction pull Ian and Grace towards each other, there are forces out there working to keep them apart. There is evil out there, evil willing to hurt people, willing to ruin people, willing to kill people and that evil is willing to ruin these two.
Ian likes to say he is the devil, but the reality is the true devil is about to show himself and he has no problem leaving a path of destruction.
As Ian begins to realize there is only one way to redeem himself, it also means he will expose himself, but by doing that he can save Grace and the children, but he will pay a high price for saving them.
To say this book contains all the feels is not so, it contains all the feels and more, it takes and takes from the reader and when it gives back it gives back so much more than one would expect. Sometimes winning means you have to wait awhile for your prize but when you get it, you realize your not the devil but a Prince with a ready made kingdom just waiting for you.
