I purchased a copy of the steamy short novel All Night Long: A Man Of The Month Novel book 9 by J. Kenner and this review was given freely.
A steamy second chance at love romance between the Lawyer Easton and free spirited whiskey brewer Selma. Easton reconnects with Selma as she is in the process of selling her brewery with plans to travel Europe and he is contemplating running for District Judge. Good friends and family help them both decide what is really important with Easton making a grand gesture at the end.
Wow, this book is simply amazing. This I the perfect title to describe Easton and Selma. They just have this chemistry that makes everyone take notice. I love the fact that dreams they have is taking root and the fear is being feared head on. This book is full of possibilities, but in the end truth and justice was prevailed.
This series is proving to be one of my favorite 🙂 Each story is short, intriguing, romantic and most of the time there is just a pinch of suspense that makes it even more irresistible. And this night book in the series is not an exception. Though there is no suspense, the story of Selma and Easton is still one of the top ones for me in the series. In a way, it is a second chance at romance and love for those two incredible characters.
I have to say, I was intrigued by Selma as a character. Though she portrays a very happy and devil may care attitude, deep inside she is chased by demons from her childhood that mostly decide her every step. Until her second encounter with Easton makes her stop and rethink everything she’s done up until this moment. Because the feelings that sneaked upon her heart are truthful, romantic and very strong. Of course their relationship is not easy and causes Easton to take count of his life as well. But once they both see the truth, that they can’t live without each other, all bets are off and nothing will stay in their way.
As a whole, it is a beautiful story. A story of second chances and overcoming scars from the past so you can get your HEA. Definitely a book worth checking out.
Turn Me On by J. Kenner is the ninth book in her new 12 book Man of the Month series. Told in dual POV this is the story of Easton and Selma, the straight-laced attorney with an eye on politics and a future as a federal judge and the edgy owner of a local Whiskey distillery that rocks short, multi-hued hair and sexy attire.
Easton has been on his career path for as long as he has been studying law. The next obvious step is politics and then a play for a position as a federal judge. It makes sense. What doesn’t make sense is his wicked, dirty attraction to the one woman that could implode his dreams. But are they really his dreams, and isn’t she truly worth it after everything is said and done?
Selma and her brother, Matthew, had a rough start to life. As a result, where he is steadfast and comfortable with the status quo Selma is determined to be accomplished and then move on to the next goal. achieve, challenge, excite, and go. Always go… Until Easton. He makes her want to stick but that isn’t what she had planned for her life…
Well-written and well-paced, this was another great read and I’m excited with how each of the upcoming characters are gently weaved into the plots in earlier stories without being obtrusive to the current story. Enjoy!
Another great book in the Man of the Month series. I didn’t like this one as much as the others, but it was still a very enjoyable read. Selma and Easton were true opposites. But they always say, opposites attract. It fits well with the series.
I received a copy of this book in an exchange for an honest review.
It’s time to meet Mr. September in this Man of the Month series. This book is about Selma and Easton, the free spirited woman and the uptight Lawyer on track to be a Judge. Easton must keep on the straight and narrow so when the woman who gave him the hottest night of her life comes back into his life he must retain his control. But how can you control the hurricane that is Selma and why would you want to? This story was great and I loved catching up with some favorite characters of this series. Every book can be read as a stand alone but reading the series just makes the reading all the better. I love this series and I can’t wait to read about Mr. October next.
You gotta love this Man of the Month MEN! GAH… every time I think this is my favorite… Ms Kenner sends me another awesome story with a great man to read! Easton is HOT… no doubt about it! Thank God you are keeping them coming a few more times!
I was looking forward to reading about Easton when he was first mentioned in the first Man of the Month book. At the start of this book, we meet successful attorney, Easton, who is being groomed by his mentor to for a judicial seat for the county. Our heroine, Selma, is a free-spirited owner of a boutique whiskey distillery, who is looking to sell so she can travel the world. Her friends around town all recommend Easton as a lawyer to help her negotiate the terms of the sale, but they share a history which involved her walking away from Easton after just one night.
I loved the chemistry between these two once they were together, but found some of the decisions Easton made a bit out of character for his public image. Perhaps his inner conscience was trying to derail the path he had set himself on, or better yet, was steering him in the direction that would truly make him happy. Either way, the Man of the Month contest again provides the vehicle for another calendar model to profess his feelings for his lady love!
All Night Long by J Kenner
This is the story of the ninth in the Man of the Month series. I loved it.
Another great love story by J. Kenner. As Selma decides to sell her distillery and move across the world she need help from a lawyer. The lawyer that everyone is recommending is Easton. But she is not sure she really wants to have him in her life, especially since their one night together. This is a hot and heavy love story. Once again J. Kenner wrote a winner.
Man of the Month Mr September
Easton has it all he has the good job and he gets what he wants, but now what he wants is Selma she rocked his world but now that she is back can Easton put the thoughts of her to the back of his mind?
Selma is a free spirit with a naughty wild side, she believes rules should be broken. With travelling Selma can be who she wants but when she comes across Easton again, will she give everything up for happiness?
Easton wants Selma but with a election coming up will he risk it all for happiness?
J. Kenner has gone and given us another Man of the Month each book is filled with hot sexiness and steamy hot ………………………….men.
This new installment in the Man of Month series tells the second chance at love story of Selma and Easton, who have never forgotten each other, even though it’s been more than a decade since they were in a short-lived relationship. Selma was the one who got away and Easton has never forgotten her. She is the owner of a small distillery that has developed a big reputation. She has had an offer to buy the company and she wants to hire an attorney to negociate the deal for her. The best for the job is Easton, a friend of Tyree, the Fix on Sixth’s owner. Easton is ambitious and determined. He has worked hard and it has paid off, he is an accomplished attorney with a prestigious corner office, running for a judge seat.
Selma and Easton are very different, but the push and pull between them was captivating. The romance is wickedly good, despite the novella format. The author does a good job at writing sassy dialogue and endearing, well-developed characters. Their interactions and the way Easton cared for Selma were refreshing.

Ruthie –
This is the ninth book in the series and is another scorcher! This time, two people who first collided whilst in college reconnect due to a legal issue. Soon though, they cannot resist the chemistry still sparking between them.
This is a really fun and super sexy story – which explains just why they didn’t last the first time around… and it is just the very best reason (and the worst!). They finally disclose more about themselves, and actually both learn some valuable lessons about why they are so far off track. Of course, the journey is not smooth but when Easton goes the extra mile by entering the September competition, Selma realises that they really are meant to be together.
I loved the whiskey distillery elements, it tied in well to the bar, it gave us insight into Selma’s nature, and gave us a chance to understand why she felt the need to move on – but also when faced with the truth of the sale, can’t quite let go. The connection her brother had with Easton was also an interesting twist, as was Hannah reminding Easton where he was going astray with his career.
All in all, an excellent new story in this fun series.
Reviewers on the Wicked Reads Review Team were provided a free copy of All Night Long (Man of the Month #9) by J. Kenner to read and review for this tour.
I think I have found my favorite book of the series! I’m enjoying the series. I love and look forward to reading them. But this book, I just loved. It was the characters. They made the story! Its fun, sexy and super steamy HOT!
In this book we meet Easton and Selma! She is wild card. Very spontaneous and lives life at the moment. my kind of girl. But she scared and is always changing her direction. He has a plan, he knows what he wants and where he want go. he is very different from her. But she brings a fun side to him. Soon both realize they complete each other.
Its a second chance romance at its finest.
This series keeps getting better and better. I love how everyone in past books pop up from time to time and how everyone is some how connected!
Enjoyed reading about these two! Loved that as hard as Easton tried he just couldn’t keep his hands to himself and gave into his want for Selma, even in situations where he should have. Those were some hot scenes! They made each other better by helping the other see what they really wanted out of life.
I really enjoyed this story about Selma Herrington and Easton Wallace on their life struggles growing up. How these two successful people helped each other to figure out want they truly wanted in life. Very romantic and HOT!
I voluntarily received an ARC for a honest review.
This is such a fun series to read and I can’t wait for the next one to come out. Even though it is a series, each book in the series is a standalone about a different couple. It is always a fun, quick and easy read.
Selma Herrington is ready to sell her business so that she can go to Scotland for her next adventures. She has a buyer but needs to find a good lawyer to make sure that she is getting the best offer possible. Everyone she speaks to recommends the same person – Easton Wallace! Selma is at first hesitant to go talk to Easton since they had a history – a one night stand years ago where Selma disappears on Easton the next morning. Selma feels there some unresolved issues there but not sure she wants to address it.
Easton Wallace is at the top of his game working as a lawyer. He is shock to see Selma and feels that he doesn’t want to get involved professionally with Selma. The more Easton resist, the more Selma is compel to get his help. They address their history and decides that they have some issues that needs to be addressed romantically. The fun begins with Selma and Easton but it’s more than just fun for both of them and they both must decide what they want to do with their futures.
I can’t wait for Mr. October!
GAH!!! I love every book in this series! I’m pretty sure I say this every time, but I think Selma and Easton are my new favorite!! I was a little worried that I would get bored with this series, I tend to lose interest on super long series, but I can promise I have loved every book in this series and I cannot wait to read more!!
All Night Long by J. Kenner is the next book in the Man of the Month series. Selma Herrington and Easton Wallace are characters we have seen in other books. Selma as the founder/owner of Free-Tail a boutique, craft, distillery and Easton as the superstar lawyer that everyone uses. What we didn’t know is that Selma and Easton have a history. One that Selma walked away from in her efforts to be free spirited and not tied down. The difference is the memory of Easton stuck with her as something more. When Selma decides to uproot yet again and sell, the now successful, Free-Tail, everyone tells her Easton is the lawyer to talk to.
Easton has worked hard and excelled in his legal career. Now people are pushing him to run for a Judgeship. When Selma approaches him he knows either the best or worst thing that could happen to him has walked through his door. I liked that we got to find out more about Selma and Easton and see them together. Easton keeps trying to be the responsible aspiring politician, but Selma brings something real and powerful out in him. Together they are something more, the passion and the drive that they share cannot be contained.
Overall I very much enjoyed All Night Long by J. Kenner. It was hot, passionate and fun. I wished it were a little longer. Another 30+ of these characters would have been fun and a bit more complex, but I think with the next book being Selma’s brother, Mathew, we may continue some of the shared story that Selma and Mathew have. This was a nice add to the Man of the Month series and should not be missed.

4.5 stars
This is the ninth book in the Man of the Month series and it is hot. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading it in order to really understand the characters and their motivations. Selma is a woman who does not like to put down roots and is a fly by the wind type of person. She loves to travel and find men with whom she can pass some time until the next one. She is the owner of a distillery, that she built from scratch, but is looking to sell it to move on to another life adventure. Easton is the attorney that Selma wants to hire to work out the logistics of the sale for her maximum benefit. However, Easton has history with Selma and she is the one who walked out on him without saying goodbye ten years ago and his life has changed. Will Easton put aside the past and agree to Selma’s request to handle the sale? Will Selma be able to walk away from Easton once the contracts are signed? This is one short read with dynamic characters coming to grips with what they want out of life.
I volunteered to read an advanced copy of this book.
Selma and Easton had a romantic tryst years ago that was satisfying but quick. Now Selma needs legal help and she knows just who to call. But will these two share more than just legal aide? Or will Easton not help her because she will not be the correct type of woman to help with his political career? This book did not have the same in-depth storyline surrounding the bar as the others but it was still a great read. A wonderful story with a wonderful couple.
