USA Today BestsellerIn Kristen Proby’s second novel in her Romancing Manhattan series, a playboy vows never to commit—until he meets the one woman he’s tempted to break his promise for.Quinn Cavanaugh doesn’t do anything halfway. He drives fast, works hard, and plays even harder. And the word “commitment” doesn’t exist in his dictionary. He has no plans of settling down with one woman for he … of settling down with one woman for he needs to be free to move on to the next big thing—whatever or whoever that may be. Each party knows the score going into it, and it’s all been working out fine. That is, until a sexy new colleague enters the scene.
Sienna Hendricks doesn’t give much thought to Quinn and the revolving door leading to his bedroom. She’s way too picky about who she shares her time or her body with and screwing around with a colleague isn’t part of her plan either. Quinn doesn’t intimidate her. And unlike most other members of her sex, she doesn’t melt into a puddle at his feet whenever he’s near. Most importantly, she has no issues telling him no.
But for a man who has the world at his feet, Quinn isn’t accustomed to being rejected. And he’s not about to let that change—no matter how persistent Sienna is. To his surprise, Sienna is everything he thought he’d never find. Pursuing her, and convincing her he’s changed, is going to be the biggest challenge of his life. One he’s completely up for….

All It Takes is a wonderful addition to the Romancing Manhattan series. This is Quinn’s book. You feel the instant draw between Sienna and Quinn. Sienna is trying to tackle the mess of stuff left behind by her grandfather. Quinn is leading a hand and the more they work together the hotter the sparks fly. Both lawyers working for the common goal. Neither expected the attraction. I love where this story goes. I could not put it down. I cannot wait for Carter’s book.
A fun read just in time for summer, though perfect for any time of the year. It was such a wonderful change and experience to read about two strong, smart people who are living happy fulfilled lives before they found each other. Neither one is floundering without a relationship, desperately looking for “someone to make them whole” or putting their lives on hold until the “right one” comes along. They are both in successful careers, have great friendships and not sitting at home waiting for Mr or Mrs Right. They are the unicorns of happily ever after books… whole functioning adults. Through some nefarious events by Siennas father and uncle she meets Quinn and they meet and are forced to work together. They form a bond and only want to make each other better versions of themselves, through respect, friendship, concern for each others well being and eventually love.. Even when legal circumstances force secrecy they ultimately manage to act as mature adults and work it out to share a lovely happily ever after. This is just fun smart read that will make you smile. Enjoy!!

Great story
Always enjoy Kirsten Proxy’s books. This didn’t disappoint.
I enjoy this writer immensely.
All It Takes, is all it took to make me fall in love with another Kristen Proby story and series! Romancing Manhattan has all the makings of another brilliant series and I can’t wait for more. These Cavanaugh Brothers are so sexy! I know Carter isn’t a Cavanaugh by name but he is a Cavanaugh by family and I get a feeling he will be just as sexy!
This story starts out with a bang when Quinn and Sienna first meet unexpectedly in the park. You get the sense instantly that things are about to get very interesting. Nothing like a little court ordered togetherness to make it harder to ignore your attraction to the opposing counsel. What I loved most about All It Takes was the evolution of Quinn and Sienna’s love story. I love how love softened both of them in different ways. It was a true romance. Everything between them felt so effortless. Somehow even their opposition felt effortless.
This story further developed characters we fell in love with in All the Way. Finn and London are completely woven into the All It Takes storyline as well and it’s true KP character development magic. Also, Carter gets a little more story time in this one, and so does his teenage daughter Gabby. Anyone else dying for his single dad story?! I’m not sure if Nora will be the one for him but I’m sure whoever it is will be perfect for him. I also loved the introduction of Louise (Lou), Sienna’s not so financially responsible sister. Her man picker is broken and I can’t be the only one who thinks she’s more than deserving of being lucky in love! She is so funny and sweet and it seems like great things will be coming her way, now that she’s building her event planning business.
I can’t recommend this book enough! It’s a bit of a slow burn, it’s not quite enemies to lovers, low angst, mildly suspenseful beautiful love story. Kristen’s writing is always spot on for me. She takes such time and care with her characters and the overall story within the series. I adore her and her writing.

My love are a good looking man in a suit- wow let’s just say that Quinn is off the charts. He is beautiful, caring, and brilliant. Now give him Sienna- this lady will knock the socks off you of you. She is just as beautiful, caring and brilliant. When they first meet you can feel the chemistry; then they end up having to work against each other but together. AMAZING!!!
Quinn and Sienna are so passionate together and both enjoy each other’s company with ease. Each has a way of bring the best in each other, but sometimes being lawyer requires you to keep a secret. Does this secret ruin them or bring them closer together.
“The only way I can describe it is, I saw you for the first time, and I knew my life would never be the same”

M/F Romance
Sienna is a great attorney. Encouraged from a young age to follow her dream, both her father and her uncle have always been her biggest cheerleaders. When her grandfather passes away, the reading of the will uncovers a century old mystery and, despite being attracted to opposing counsel, Sienna is determined to prove him and his client wrong.
Quinn loves his job. While at a will reading, he has to step forward and expose that what was bequeathed to the city might not be legal. The spitfire who stands up to him, Sienna, is intriguing and attractive.
Both Quinn and Sienna are trying to find the truth. However, secrets and their job can sometimes be hard to handle. Despite being opposition, Quinn and Sienna find that they are having a difficult time fighting their attraction.
Secrets are never a good thing in a relationship. But when secrets expose what is truly behind their case, Quinn and Sienna have to decide if they can put aside their differences and if their relationship will survive.
Proby, once again, shows that a true relationship is one of mutual respect and admiration. I love how these characters developed and evolved throughout the story and hope that we get to see more of them. I also really hope that we get to see a story for Sienna’s sister, because it seems that she has a lot of layers to her.

This is the second book in the series, and I absolutely loved it. I would recommend that you read book one first as it is an ongoing story, and getting the background on the Cavanaugh men is helpful – it is also an excellent story, so why miss out? Quinn is the troubled brother, still hurting from his father and sister’s death, he is very close to his mother, fearing she will be next. He is very family centred, even if he has playboyish ways! Seeing Finn settle down has definitely changed his attitude about life though, and he will do anything for his niece, Gabby.
Whilst this is a dreamy, sexy, and wonderful romance – one can guarantee that Proby will deliver on this score every time – it is also a really exciting mystery, with a brilliantly unexpected and rather shocking twist! I absolutely loved the sorting through old boxes to find evidence scenes, even though as I write it, I question how that can possibly be exciting!! We are drawn into the mystery from the very beginning, and as I say, be prepared to have your expectations overturned!
Quinn and Sienna may be on opposing sides legally in the case, but thanks to a court ruling, they are bound to work together. This clears up a lot of the ethical issues that any of us, and they may have of starting a relationship – although I am not sure that Quinn ever expected the dilemma that he faced. As they fall further into a meaningful love affair, one inevitably waits for the problems that will arise, and they do, but these two articulate, intelligent people are able to communicate about the issue and see it for the obstacle that it is rather than the end of something so special. This was very pleasing, and gave credence to the characters that were written.
A hugely satisfying and enjoyable read – I cannot wait for the next installment and to find out what further treats are in store for us.

I love Kristen Proby’s books. Each book has a way of making you invest in the characters to the point that you stay up all night just to see how the story ends. Then you are disgusted with yourself because its 3 a.m. and you have to get up in four hours AND you have to wait for the next book in the series.
The characters of Quinn and Sienna are very well written and I was pulling for them from the beginning. I loved the way the judge assigned them to work together to get the information together for the sake of both of their clients.
The way Quinn cares for Sienna and wants her to succeed is amazing. He doesn’t care if his client wins or loses, he just wants Sienna’s happiness. Sienna is grateful for the support that Quinn has given her. He respects her abilities as an attorney and as a woman.
When Sienna’s world crumbles around her, she withdraws from Quinn and it crushes him. Knowing that she needs time to come to grips with what’s going on in her world, he gives it to her, but Quinn is not a man to give up. Sienna knows that it’s not Quinn’s fault that her family fell apart, but she’s not ready to embrace her happily ever after.
Luckily for her, Quinn is a patient man.

This is such a great series and I think this second book might be even better than the first. This time, the story is all about two New York lawyers forced to work together to discover who actually owns the land Sienna’s grandfather bequeathed to the city.
The chemistry between Sienna and Quinn is fabulous. Sparks fly between the two lawyers from the start, and as their case becomes murkier, chemistry turns into trust, friendship, and something more. While the first story in this series was all money and glamour, Sienna brings a refreshing sense of normality to this second book. Her work as a city lawyer doesn’t bring in much money, but it allows her a healthy work-life balance. While I enjoyed London in the first book, Sienna feels more real and more relatable.
I love the way Quinn and Sienna work for each other in so many different ways. Sienna adds some balance to his life while still challenging him intellectually. I also enjoyed getting to know the Cavanaugh family better. This is a fun, easy read that I read in a single sitting.

A light, easy read that made me smile.
The first book in this series, All the Way, was good but not great. Kristen Proby upped her game again on this one. There was an instant connection between Quinn and Sienna that grew and grew the more time they spent together. And spark that grew to a roaring fire in no time.
For someone like me, who reads a whole heck of a lot of books, it’s unusual to come across a plot I find to be a totally unique spin on a usual trope. I appreciate the spin on the usual enemies to lovers, fighting lawyers story. There are definitely things that are foreshadowed quite obviously, but there are also some twists and turns that come out of left field. All of that makes this a fun and romantic page-turner.
Although I liked this story more than the last, and I feel the characters were more well-rounded and their backgrounds more fleshed out, I still felt that a lot more could have been said. Especially when it came to Quinn and his mom. Not only their relationship and his protective feelings, but also her health issues that were almost pushed aside as a non-issue. Yet I feel we may revisit these issues in future books. I guess that remains to be seen.
All in all this was a fantastic story that kept me reading. The way Sienna and Quinn clicked and truly understood each other on such a deep level was heartwarming.

This was a quick, fun, sizzling hot read that took my mind off my troubles. This was the second in the series. I somehow missed the first one–I have to remedy that. I loved the characters and the honor in each of them. A great read!
In the first book, we met the romance between Finn Cavanaugh, a lawyer, and the London, an actress.
Now, let’s meet the other lawyer brother, Quinn.
Since the family’s two major losses in a short time (Darcy, his sister, and shortly thereafter, the father), Quinn has become almost obsessive about her mother’s health. And despite working seven days a week at the family’s very successful law firm, he always takes time (not to say daily) to visit his mother.
This leaves him with almost no time to have any romance.
Then, on a will reading day, he comes across another lawyer.
For Sienna Hendricks it was a time of sadness. A month ago she had buried her grandfather, the man with whom she had a strong connection.
On the day of his will reading, two big surprises for her: First, the fact that her grandfather had left her some money, since his two sons were lived. Second, the appearance of another lawyer claiming that land that his grandfather left for the city to be kept as a park was not, in fact, his. Sienna’s great-grandfather had given the land as collateral, on a promissory note, of a loan taken.
They went to court, and since the whole thing was at least a hundred years old, the judge stipulated that the two lawyers work together.
Sienna was reluctant at first, but the deadline for presenting the result was tight, only 30 days.
Amid so many boxes of documents that his grandfather had stored in the attic, the two live daily.
Could they avoid the attraction? Of course not. Especially because Quinn was one of those well-dressed, handsome, good smelling lawyers.
However, this joining of forces could cause a problem … for those who did not want this case resolved.
A dash of mystery, a giant dose of romance, and fun guaranteed.
5 stars
All It Takes is the second book in Kristen Proby’s Romancing Manhattan series and, although I don’t usually like stories written in the first person with alternating POV chapters, Proby pulled me in with solid writing and great characters.
Quinn Cavanaugh, an attorney in an incredibly successful law partnership with his brothers, likes to have everything under control. Sienna Hendricks is a city attorney who is organized, loves lists and rules, stability and playing it safe but is also competitive. They meet when they are on opposing sides of an inheritance issue involving Sienna’s grandfather and wind up working together when a judge orders it.
A steamy, hot chemistry is at work between the two as they plow through family secrets and deal with conflicts of interest. Sienna is great character, but I absolutely love Quinn!! He is really swoon-worthy. I also loved the police officer who stops Quinn for speeding and winds up giving him advice about women and relationships.
“First of all, trust is a big thing….Listening is important too…..We all need to feel safe. That the love, the trust, and heart we put into each other is safe in our partner.”
While it is the second book in the series, it reads well on its own. I’m definitely looking forward to more of this series.

ALL IT TAKES by new-to-me author Kristen Proby is an engaging read with an unexpected twist at the end. The characters are interesting, and it was easy to become a part of their lives. I am a huge fan of big city romances, and this one just happens to take place in the busiest of them all, New York City. This is the second book from the ROMANCING MANHATTAN series, and it can be enjoyed as a standalone.
Sienna Hendricks is a dedicated attorney working for the city. She could make the big bucks at a prestigious law firm, however, doing so would force her to give up her weekends and evenings. Sienna’s work schedule allows her to use artistic talents to paint and spend time with her family. She shares an instant attraction with Quinn Cavanaugh, opposing counsel to a case that personally involves her family. Quinn and his two brothers are founders of a very successful law firm. He is a workaholic, so when he finds time to unwind he lets his adventurous side take over. Sienna and Quinn are ordered by the judge to work together, to get to the truth of the matter that is near and dear to Sienna’s heart. Over time, they fall in love.
Sienna and Quinn make a great couple. Ms. Proby does a wonderful job of evolving their relationship from colleagues, to friends, to lovers. Their connection is sexy and hot, and I loved how they communicated with each other, both in and out of the bedroom. I felt their love developing, and was cheering for them to be together from the moment I experienced their tangible chemistry. The nicely described secondary characters add a lot of enjoyment to the story. Overall, a solid read.

Wow what a great story! Kristen wrote characters that you will fall in love with! 5 amazing stars for this one, it’s out grab it now!
When Quinn & Sienna meet at her grandfathers will reading, she’s instantly put on guard. Who is this handsome stranger, a lawyer, staking a claim against her grandfather’s property that’s a city park. Being a lawyer herself, and working for the city, she feels she needs to take on this case in defense of her grandfather. When these two work together to try to solve the mystery, sparks fly between them!
That’s all I’ll say, you have to read the book and find out all that they uncover!
I’m loving this series by Kristen, don’t miss out, buy your copy today!
Kristen Proby’s Romancing Manhattan series takes me home. See, I’m a girl from whose heart never really left the Northeast. So, it’s a joy every time Kristen uses her incredible voice to describe my “home.” And All It Takes, does that.
Sienna jumped off the pages to me as someone I would identify with as one of my relatives; a New Yorker that lives in the city and thrives on its energy. She’s practical, smart, sassy and has no problems going head to head with Quinn Cavanaugh; because he’s just wrong.
Quinn surprised me in a good way. Maybe because I know the bad boy lawyers too well, but he just got under my heart with the way he loves his family so deeply. And it wasn’t long before the attraction that initially drew Sienna to him eventually pulled her into an orbit of his protection.
But promises made need to be kept when the law needs to be upheld. And the law refuses to bend for no man. No woman.
Not even for love.
Another win by Kristen Proby!
Instant attraction turns to insta-love in this entertaining enemies to lovers book, second in the Romancing Manhattan series.
When opposing counsels, thrill-seeking playboy Quinn and sassy by the book Sierra, are thrown together on a case, the fine line between professional conduct & all consuming lust is impossible to ignore. It was fun to see them outside of work as the buttoned up Sierra & workaholic Quinn let loose & enjoy life more with someone to love. The case they were working was also intriguing as they raced the clock to fine century old clues.
Kristin Proby always writes swoony romance with smart, sexy couples and wonderful supporting characters and this is no exception. It was nice to catch up with previous characters & I look forward to more books in this series.
If you are a fan of enemies to lovers… don’t miss ALL IT TAKES!
When the Cavanaugh men go all in they go hard! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Quinn & Sienna are opposing council on a 100 year old case & have been instructed by the judge to work together to get the truth! They never expected to feel so intense deep feelings for each other! They have a few fast turns to get around and still have to maneuver this case, one that effects her family and her career.
I’m super in love with this series and can’t wait for more.
Thanks to Netgalley & HarperCollins publishers for the free ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I’m enjoying this series more than I expected (I’m a lawyer and I tend to nitpick lawyer series). Quinn & Sienna are both lawyers forced into an unlikely situation – opposing counsel working together to figure out whether a promissory note from over 100 years ago has been paid. While they manage to keep things professional at first… sparks fly!
This was just a fun, easy read – I really enjoyed it! I recommend reading All the Way first as it helps build the story!
