It has been over twenty years since the publication of The Ragamuffin Gospel, a book many claim as the shattering of God’s grace into their lives. Since that time, Brennan Manning has been dazzingly faithful in preaching and writing variations on that singular theme –
“Yes, Abba is very fond of you!”
But today the crowds are gone and the lights are dim, the patches on his knees have … are dim, the patches on his knees have faded. If he ever was a ragamuffin, truly it is now. In this his final book, Brennan roves back his past, honoring the lives of the people closest to him, family and friends who’ve known the saint and the sinner, the boy and the man. Far from some chronological timeline, these memories are witness to the truth of life by one who has lived it – All Is Grace.

This book encouraged me to just love God and be myself,
This book was written with a lyrical style. IT is also a great example of the fact that we are none of us perfect. Journey of a soul and all the ups and downs. Helps one realize the unconditional love of God no matter who we are and what we’ve done.
I have many books by this author. I like his spirituality and his strength. He’s always worth reading.
Understandably one could dismiss outright or keep close to the heart. Kind of sad but real.
For those who know Brennen Manning’s work, this is an essential benediction on his life and writing. Through this selective memior I am feel urged toward shedding my own judgementalism that bristles with regularity when confronted with ‘faults’ unlike my own. It seems a hard message that as Christians we can seem to grow so little in avoiding …
I have heard Brennan Manning speak many times. I am impressed with his desire to help others.
Made me want to wear earlier books.
He must have been a very remarkable man!
