Will Reavis is the last man standing. All of his lifelong friends are settling down, and seem nauseatingly happy with their significant others. Even his little sister Jules recently married, taking off with Will’s best friend.
While Dylan and Jules are away on their honeymoon, they … honeymoon, they leave their penthouse apartment and expensive vehicles in Will’s care. After a night on the town with his new wingman, criminal defense attorney Joe Montgomery, Will meets the woman of his dreams.
Knowing a beautiful woman like Lacy would never go for a normal, nothing-special guy like him for more than a one-night stand, Will let’s her believe that all of Dylan’s riches are his own.
Lacy Pierce is newly single and not looking to settle down anytime soon. Why would she do something so foolish, when she knows how things always end? Her own father had affairs on her mother, and her famous football playing ex-boyfriend Zack Bradford cheated on her repeatedly during the year they were together.
Will seems like Zack’s opposite, and even better, he looks … safe. When she finds out the cute, unassuming, intelligent guy is actually the first man that can show her the wild passion she’s been missing out on, she reconsiders her no commitment rule. That is until she finds out Will has lied to her, and only sees her as a one-night fling.
Fate eventually steps in to bring the two back together.
When Lacy agrees to help out in her father’s law firm during the summer, she has no idea that the young attorney she’ll be working for is none other than Joe Montgomery, Will’s good friend. She’s also surprised to find out that Will is actually the IT guy for her father’s firm, when their paths cross once again.
After Lacy and Will get hot and heavy in public one night, they not only end up with criminal charges, Lacy’s father puts an end to idea of them continuing a relationship. He threatens to have Will, Joe, and Will’s friend and Joe’s assistant, Jess, all fired.
Unwilling to risk the consequences, Lacy tries to stop thinking about Will. Her hot new boss makes for a pretty nice distraction, and the two pass the time teasing and flirting with each other. Things begin to get complicated with Lacy and Joe, especially when it becomes clear that her and Will aren’t over.
Will does a little soul-searching and decides that he’ll do whatever it takes to have the woman of his dreams … even if that means indulging in some of her naughtier fantasies! But all relationships are fragile, and when Lacy finds out that the only two men she’s ever trusted have both conspired to betray her, it’ll take a tragedy to help her see that the ones we love occasionally deserve our forgiveness. Lacy will also find out the hard way that her wild and foolish decisions will eventually catch up with her, impacting all the men in her life.
This book can be read as a stand-alone, but includes the appearance of characters from the other books in the series. Therefore the preferred reading order is:
All In: Double or Nothing
All In: Betting on a Full House
All In: Calling His Bluff
All In: Playing the Fool
There is a HEA in this 90k word book, but fair warning, there’s a cliffhanger in the plot that continues into the next two books in the series, Playing to Win and Raising the Stakes.

I was granted an ARC of Lane Hart’s “All In: Playing the Fool (Gambling With Love Book 4)” via Booksprout; I recommend this book, & the others in the series to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time… Happy Reading!
Well Playing the Fool is an example of liking an author’s work but not liking a story that she wrote. Will was one of my favorite characters in the series and I was hoping that he would find the perfect partner to love him for the great understated guy that he is. Lacy would not have been my choice for him. I have no problem with a couple exploring their sexuality but Lacy seemed to be very self centered about her desires and not thinking at all about Will’s needs. This story has a lot of sex in it with multiple partners for Lacy which didn’t work for me. It also has a cliffhanger that will not be resolved until the last book in the series. I will read the rest because I have always enjoyed this author’s previous work. It’s well written and told from dual POV but I will not be rereading this one.
Not my favorite book by Lane. Despite being a good writer, this book was not up to Lane’s standards. It was confusing why Lacy was ok with sleeping with everyone but not when Will did. This book has A LOT of cheating. Hard to read. Not the best book in this series.
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.
I did give three stars but that was only because Lacy got hers in the end. Will made the mistake of lying to Lacy sort of lying by omission is still a lie, but anyway he let Lacy believe that the cars the penthouse belong to him and not his sister and her new husband, he was just supposed to be watching over it while they were on their honeymoon. So back to Will and Lacy, she is selfish and the loser not Will though he doesn’t think that he is so in love with her that he turns the other cheek when she is sleeping around with multiple men even his friend. I really don’t like cheating in my stories so I don’t recommend this book, the writing is good the plot not so much. Will could of done so much better than Lacy.

I found this book to be fairly entertaining
and very steamy .

I really liked this book until I got to the part where Lacy got pissed at Will for watching her with Joe on his security camera. Really?!?! You don’t bother telling Will you were sleeping with Joe and some other guy and it’s only about the sex but you’re upset he watched you having it on camera? What the?! Then she adds in her ex and I just stopped reading. I can’t stand her at all. She really is a fool.
A different entertaining story. A standalone within a series Will and Lacy seeming to be main couple. It is very steamy read with lots of sexy scenes. A lot of emotions from love and anger, multiple partners. Lacey has trust and commitment issues and a controlling father which she stays. Will is very much in love. I was captivated till the end.

Lacy is newly single and not looking to settle down anytime soon. Will meets Lacy at a bar. Will believes that Lacy would never date an IT guy like him. Will pretends or pro trades to be rich. Lacy and Will get hot and heavy in public one night. They not only end up with criminal charges but Lacy’s father wants to put an end to idea of them continuing a relationship. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Like all of Lane Hart’s stories, I was pulled in and loved it. I didn’t put it down until I had it finished. The difference in this one was finding the Heroine to have more flaws than I’m used to. It took me a while to figure her out and be okay with who she was. On the flip side, I absolutely LOVED Will!! Although not typical style, this is stilll an amazing story that pulls you in!
A very steamy read about one woman Lacy Pierce and the four men in her life, this story does end on a cliff-hanger as far as I am concerned. I wonder if there is going to be another book dealing with the question that is left unanswered. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the fourth book in this series and has a lot of cheating. Lacy sleeps with Joe more than her own boyfriend Will. I didn’t like Lacy or her actions at all. It is really sad how she treated Will throughout the book.

Warning: Cheating with a Side of Cheating
I gave this one 2 stars simply because I love Lane Hart and have loved the first three books in this series but this one did not work for me like the first three. While it is still Lane Hart’s great writing style and she does have an incredible flair for telling a story, this story I could have gone a long way without reading. There is one thing that I just can’t tolerate in life and find it just as repulsive in stories, in particular romance stories, cheating. This book is full of cheating. I could not stand Lacy. All she did was use Will and his feelings for her over and over again. I really liked Will in his sisters story but in this one I felt he was weak and way to forgiving of a woman that didn’t show him the same feelings in return. This was a toxic relationship and not something I can celebrate or give 5 stars even if it was written by an author I really like reading.

This is the fourth book in this series and the author continues with great character and storyline development which kept me totally engaged until the very end!
This book is about lots of girl’s fantasies! Have multiple hot partners with no strings and no repercussions. Right? Well things have a way of coming and biting you in the butt! Will starts his relationship with Lacey with lies but eventually they work it out . That is until her father forbids them to see each other. Lacey starts expressing herself sexually and says what and who she wants. Joe becomes a willing participant, then Chad. Who will be left with her in the end? The book is hotter than the others in the series and I loved it! I can’t wait for the next book! This series is awesome!

Will is looking for love and finds it with Lacy .. but she’s leary of commitment. I honestly didn’t like Lacy’s character very much and felt Will deserved better than her. The author does bring a lot of steam and leaves you wondering if they can or will have a HEA.

All In: Playing the Fool by Lane Hart a five-star read that I want all in with. This is the forth book of the All In series but they can all be read as stand-alone, I have loved the first three, but that being said this blew my socks off as well as most of my other clothing it has to be said. It’s one of those, and I have been melting worse that the wicked witch of the west and its not because we have had an unseasonably warm early summer. Will Reavis has always been a sweetie and that showed through this story, but all of the men in this story have a part to play and Lacy Pierce you are a woman I would love to swap places with, for the most part anyhow. I can not wait for the next two books to find out what will happen next. Lane Hart you best get writing as I need more reading.
