Emma does it again. She brings me to the edge. She brings all the feels with her right until the very end. Kacey has a long road ahead of her. The hits just keep on coming for her and her most recent loss is the straw that breaks her. She cares little about much else, becoming The Drowning Girl. She leaves the city that caused her so much pain and no one knows where she is. Theo is coping the only way he knows how…by being everything to everyone but not acknowledging his own pain. When the chance comes for him to help Kacey, he takes it. He made a promise and he aims to keep it. The path that comes next for these two will be incredibly difficult…with each other, with others in their lives, with their futures. The Full Tilt duet was a journey indeed but one that found me absolutely in love with all the characters that made up the landscape of the story.
Emma Scott, Author, I am speechless. I have no words, just awe of your work.
“FULL TILT DUET Books 1 & 2” deserves all the ‘s in the Universe!
This sequel to Full Tilt, ALL IN starts with
an intense Prologue that gives you no time to relieve yourself from the powerful emotion the first book left behind. This book guarantees you to FEEL in the deepest possible way, to surrender your emotional side, let go of tears as you read. It’s as beautiful, heartwrecking and heartwarming of a love story as the the first part. And what was left after that gutting goodbye. Now, the characters have to deal the void that was left behind. The healing process and dealing with it is very strong to be felt in this story. The acceptance and letting go of the past. The memories that once gives heartbreak transforms into memories to be cherished. That letting go doesn’t mean forgetting. But allowing new doors to be and let open to new starts of life and love. The universe is neverending. It is limitless. Just like love.
This is probably the BEST of all Emma Scott’s Masterpieces. For me, this duet series tops them all. And I can confidently say, the best of all novels in its genre I have ever read. Like if somebody asks me what is your favorite romance novel, I need not think twice and I could see FULL TILT and ALL IN flashing before my eyes and in a heartbeat.
i read book one so long ago that this was basically a standalone because all i remember is that it was a death trope. expected to hate this since she was getting with jonahs brother but i was SHOCKED. i actually loved this. i do remember the writing in book one not being amazing but i really liked the flow and writing of this one. i think their relationship was really well done and i’m glad it was more of a slow burn instead of being rushed into.
“You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again but you will never be the same.” Elisabeth Kübler-Ross
This is the second book of the Full Tilt duet and I finally got my HEA
But before that happens you experience the epitome of roller-coaster of raw emotions and heartbreaking feelings.
So much grief, rage and pain.
So many different ways of morning and working through the helplessness of the unfairness of the cruel fate.
Isolation and self-destruction as a way of denial of the painful reality.
This is a second chance romance of a completely different kind.
It’s proof that even if the love of your life, your elixir of life is no longer there, you still have a chance to find a new love if you open your heart to it and use the chance to start a new life you have been given.
You just need to accept and understand that the second love is not a betrayal to the first true love, but a tribute to life and love.
“Love had no end. She was infinite. She was a universe, my universe, and I was hers. Love had no boundaries, no rules, no favorites. And no limits.”
Gosh! I love this this amazing unique love story
Book one ripped my heart to shreds, book two continued on the same path for quite a while until it started to put my fragile heart back together again.
Kacey’s journey through grief was so emotionally written, Emma Scott really did this character justice. the pain was in every single word I read. The falling further and further down into the black hole where you just want the pain to be over; you’ve cried so many tears you just don’t think you have any left to cry, yet you still manage to find a whole load more fall.
Theo’s journey was different, he was trying to hold everybody together. everyone around him were falling apart. The anguish of not being able to truly let go, giving the impression you are coping when all you want to do is scream into the abyss.
This duet was a binge read for me, I really am on the Emma Scott train now I finally got round to reading her books. Her words are poetry, her stories so so well developed with plot and character that no word is a filler. The plot progresses at the speed in which it deserves, nothing is rushed. Packed with emotions and empathy she will fast become a one click author for me. Catapulted into my top 5. These books need to be read! Stat!
All In is the second book in the Full Tilt Series by Emma Scott. It picks up right where it left off at the end of Full Tilt so you don’t feel lost or like anything was missing.
Kacey Dawson is just so torn after losing the love of her life in the slowest way. She kept her word, she stayed, never left his side…even when she lost everything and broke her heart and left a hole in her soul in the process. She has such trouble coping that she sinks lower than she was at the beginning of the first book.
Theo Fletcher is Jonah’s younger brother and his person, Jonah’s rock and source of strength through his entire illness. When Jonah knew he was ready to go he made Theo promise one thing, only he wasn’t able to keep it as he promised.
After receiving a call from a man in New Orleans he drops everything to help Kacey. I get so excited with this story that I’m afraid to drop all sorts of spoilers so I’m going to stop here and just recommend this series, you’ll thank me for it later.
The beautiful conclusion to this duet. All In was everything and more. As I have quickly learned, while reading Emma Scott books… A fresh new box of Tissue was opened and standing by for quick grabbing! Didn’t take too many pages before my quick grab was in full effect!
How does one move on after Jonah’s passing? Kacey is spinning out of control. Old habits make a reappearance for Kacey, she is on her way to meet Jonah in the afterlife.
Theo is trying so hard to get his life in order. Opening his own shop has been a dream. Heading back to school to get his master’s degree, ensuring that his business wont fail, if he’s knowledgeable in how to run it.
One night, Theo gets a phone call…
That night, everything changed…
We can’t control who we fall in love with. What we can control is how much love we can give to the one we do fall in love with.
This emotional roller-coaster was the perfect ending to a story that I thought that there was no way to have a perfect ending!
Loved this sequel of Full Tilt! Kacey is lost after the loss of Jonah;, and Jonah’s last wishes of his brother, Theo/Teddy and Kacey are fought for in All In! It’s a MUST read after you have read Full Tilt
Reading Full Tilt I fell in love with a Fletcher brother. While Full tilt made me ugly cry from heartbreak and raw emotions…. It planted a seed…a seed that took root and was watered and taken care of by my ugly cry tears for All In… This time the tears were from heart melting and hope blooming. Because Teddy stole my heart the very first moment he appeared in Full tilt. And with every step I fell… Helpless, hopeless, bottomless. This is the real deal for me. This story is the reason I have reread this story 2 times in 2 months already. This is pure magic wrapped in pure gold of words. This is a Emma Scott gem.
So romantic, real, full of yearning, all heart! Loved this duet!
I read this duet in 2017 and just noticed I had not left a review.
Full Tilt and All In have stayed with me ever since reading them and I am always recommending them to my friends
I adored these books, I could not put them down – they pulled at all my heartstrings and it was probably the first time I wanted to throw my kindle.
These books are everything – friendship, love and heartbreak in the most uninmangeable way. I was so glad I had the duet as I had to start reading All in as soon as I had finished Full Tilt.
Have the tissues ready because you will not be able to read these books without them.
These were the first books I had read from this author and she fast became one of my go to authors.
Absolutely amazing writing, it definitely surpasses 5 stars. I look forward to reading more from you Emma.
I think I cried my weight in tears in the first half of the book. Why did I do that to myself?! UGH. I was apprehensive about reading what was next in Kasey’s life. I didn’t want to imagine her in love with anyone else besides Jonah. Their love was something out of this universe and that book broke my heart.
This story didn’t pack the punch as the first one did in terms of connectivity, for me anyway. I think I may have read this one too closely to the first book (only a couple hours in between stopping and starting them). I was literally bawling as I was reading the ending of Full Tilt, #1.
I was still on team Jonah. I slowly pulled around to team Theo though.
There was just as many painstakingly sad but wonderful moments in this book as Full Tilt had. I did find myself rooting for them. The chemistry she created between the two characters did translate well. The writing as just as solid as the first book. There was character growth.
Let me tell you though, you are going to need your tissues for this book as well! **IS THERE A SALE ON TISSUES?! I’M ALL OUT**
She definitely has a new fan as this series was my introduction to her writing. I will frantically try to find everything she has written now!
5 Cranky Stars
This is a story of redemption. Finding your way through the ashes of a wrecked heart. Seeing what has been in front of you all along and that sometimes things need to fall apart in order to come back together even more beautifully.
Kasey isn’t fairing well since the loss of Jonah. She flees the bright lights for another type of sin city. She’s never truly sober and playing her music at small bars. She can’t get past her broken heart. Slowly she starts to lean on Theo and he helps her overcome her addiction. Theo is trying to fulfill his brothers final wish. He has always watched Kasey from afar. He has dreams and aspirations of his own but he wants to include Kasey in them. Slowly but surely their life is mending back after a tragic loss but is it ok to find solace in each other? Through time differences and miles and miles between them they learn that it’s ok to start again.
Full Tilt broke my heart. I woke up the next morning still puffy eyed and sad. It was an epic love story in a small amount of time they had. I felt All In picked those pieces up and glued them back. It was a book of hope. I love Kasey and Theo. They aren’t perfect they are flawed. They deal with real life issues. Such an amazing conclusion to a beautiful story.
I was a bawling mess when I finished Full Tilt. I wasn’t prepared for that ending. At all. I think that’s why the story and the characters hit me so hard. Jonah, Kacey and Theo had made an impact on me. Now after finishing All In I appreciate Full Tilt and Emma Scott’s storytelling even more especially for the story and how she chose to tell it. All In can’t be read as a standalone and why would one rob themselves of Full Tilt. It’s truly extraordinary and so was All In. This duet is nothing but epic.
Full Tilt was Jonah’s book and All In was Teddy’s. I was very intrigued by Teddy in Full Tilt and I liked him. Knowing how Full Tilt ended and where it would go in All In I wasn’t at all frustrated or disappointed. I had already established a connection with Jonah, Kacey and Teddy so I was very excited to see how Emma Scott would make that constellation happen and how. She succeeded in doing that flawlessly. The foundation of Kacey and Teddy’s friendship was so well written and done with such an ease. The development from friends to lovers felt organic and never forced. Just right.
Their journey towards acceptance of Jonah’s death was excruciatingly painful at times, raw but also beautifully honest in how they both handled grief. Cause man did Kacey and Teddy grieve. She was numbing herself with booze and Teddy with work, helping/pleasing others and neglecting himself and his wants/needs in life. Kacey slowly started to let go of her grief because of Teddy and his unconditional support. How they found solace in one another, how their friendship grew to more was so beautifully written. It felt real, believable and I was anticipating it. Couldn’t contain my excitement.
Teddy definitely stole the show. I liked him in Full Tilt and I loved him fiercely in All In. He hid so much of himself in Full Tilt and here in All In he let it all out. It was the little things that moved me and showed who Teddy really was. In words but most certainly also in his actions. For example when a drunk guy was hitting on Kacey and Teddy demanded an apology for Kacey. Not for him but Kacey. He truly was the rock everybody leaned on and how he loved Jonah and Kacey was intoxicating and heartbreaking. He was so patient, loyal and respectful towards Jonah’s memory and Kacey who once again surprised me with her strength. She was a fighter and once she embraced the gift Jonah gave her she went all out and loved Teddy with her entire being.
There was so much love, hope and light in All In. Also some very sexy times. A certain dance scene between Kacey and Teddy will stay with me for its seductive writing and build up. It was so sexy, I could feel every word like they crawled under my skin. Hitting me right where they were intended:) The build up between them and the release was explosive. Magnificent!
All In delivered everything and so much more. I’m so satisfied and content with the conclusion to Kacey and Teddy’s story. Emma Scott creates magic with words and she definitely put me under a spell. I read to escape, to be captured by the characters and their story. She succeeded again with All In and she did it so effortlessly and in such an intelligent way that I’m at a loss for words. My heart and soul is filled and sings with love. All In is a must read!

All In by Emma Scott is an emotional, slow burn, friends to lovers, contemporary romance and the conclusion of the Full Tilt Duet. The story picks up where Full Tilt ends following Kacey and Theo (Teddy) in dual POV as they navigate the aftermath of losing Jonah.
Kacey is a wreck. She took off and moved out of state without telling anyone. Her grieving is self-destructive and life-threatening. Theo tracks her down, coming to her rescue, and committing to help her through it. They form a long distance friendship as Kacey starts over in New Orleans and Teddy goes to college in Las Vegas. As they grieve, heal and pursue goals their friendship progresses into more.
As much as I loved Full Tilt, I wasn’t sure if this book would be able to compare. For the most part, it did a good job. I don’t remember there being typos in book one, but this one had a few that pulled me out of the story. It wasn’t quite as emotional, I wasn’t wrecked while reading it.
Overall, I really enjoyed seeing Kacey and Teddy fall in love and fight for their relationship. I loved them together as a couple. Their story was compelling, sweet, and thought-provoking. A beautiful and satisfying conclusion to the duet.
**This is part 2 – you NEED to read Full Tilt first. And I promise…you want to.
This is one of those really difficult reviews to write – Not because I don’t have anything to say about it, but because I have too many words…. yet none sufficient. This story is astounding. Beautiful. Painful. Full of hope. Full of love – both familial and romantic. This story is all of that and so so much more.
I found Emma Scotts work 2 years after this series released. Most likely, no one will see my review. But I can’t not share this series. It is IN me now, and will stay with me for a very long time.
Full Tilt / All In are the kind of stories that seep into your bones and wrench out every drop of emotion you have. Yes, we knew from the beginning it would be hard. But was it worth it? Absolutely.
Amazing
This is like the duet of books that can. That can give you love and joy, hurt and sadness. Two stories that rip you apart then consequently fill you with hope. They’re like wrapping yourself in your favorite blanket feeling the immense warmth and comfort it provides. All In, Emma Scott’s follow up to Full Tilt, must be read in order to get the entire story arc and full majesty of what this story holds within it’s pages.
I wasn’t sure how Emma was going to top Full Tilt. After my heart breaking and my head pounding from all the sobbing, I thought there was no possible way it could be topped.
But I seriously underestimated Emma’s writing, because she has indeed topped it! Well maybe not topped it, but definitely has put it on par!
“All In” has picked up exactly where Full Tilt left us, with our hearts reeling at the loss of Jonah. Wondering how on earth anyone can move forward after the loss of such true love.
Yet again, these characters are inspiring and full of love and hope. They are strong, courageous and real.
And yet again, my tears flowed throughout this book. Emma’s writing has found a way to make me cry at things I never thought I would! And like the first book in this series, I wish I could go back and read it for the first time all over again.
It is a definite re-read book/series and one of my most favourite series I have ever read. Emma is certainly one of the authors to now sit on my “list”, where I just purchase and read; without even wondering what the book is about.
I will be forever grateful that I have read this series and it will sit heavy on my heart for quite some time, I’m sure.
Very moving. Great characters, very well written and realistic.
Hard ache, loss, bad decisions and difficult family members. But there is hope, friends and love too.
Great words of wisdom.
