A great pairing of characters a little like the old comedy moonlighting.
Really great book. It kept my attention. It stayed on course to the end
Hard to put down!
Very well written.
Really liked
I’ve read many of Joel Goldman’s books and enjoyed them all. Not this one. The rhythm, realistic characters and entertaining plots were missing. Change my rating to one star.
A fun, very easy but enjoyable book. Kinda like a verry good made for TV movie.
good read
Exciting Lots of twists and turns
Was very disappointed in this book.
I can’t even give it a rating.
I haven’t found a book by Joel Goldman yet that I didn’t like. He writes such a variety it astounds me with his knowledge and means of expression.
I finished it but found the plot and complexity lacking… not as well written as I would expect from Mr. Goldman. Disappointing.
Well….I did finish the book, I’ll give it that. I know its just fiction, but it was too far-fetched and implausible for me. There was a certain amount of charm but I could only take so much of the glib dialogue that really seems to be written for another predictable, trendy action movie. Sorry.
Loved the characters and plot. Great and dramatic scenes make the characters
It does have some grammatical errors in the book that are rather blatant but still a good read about the poker world.
Loved the tension between the two main characters as they worked their way through a perilous assignment. Cliff hanger scenes but good triumphs over evil.
Loved the book, Very well done.
I prefer this author’s other series about the lawyer in Kansas City.
Kind of dragged in the middle.
Too schmaltzy
