Enjoyed Zach and Reagans story in this second chance romance. Grab a cupcake, or dozen, and get ready for this road trip of heartbreak and cupcakes, deceit and revenge, and possibly, second chances.
I really enjoyed this relatively light, contemporary, second-chance romance. Watching the relationship that slowly forms between Zach and Reagan is delightful!
She is pretty much a by-the-book, planner-in-hand, rule-follower, (who remind me much of myself in that way); but she is also something of a pretentious, ice queen, who hides behind her social status and decorum whenever she feels threatened. Which is pretty much all the time around Zach! He makes her feel alive and happy, but also unmoored and vulnerable. She knows that she’s never gotten over him, and is scared to spend too much time in his presence, least she succumb to those feelings again, and get hurt when he once again moves on.
Zach, for his part, doesn’t fully realize, at least not right away, how much for a special place Reagan always has and still does occupy in his heart. Only as they get close to one another again, and start to fall into good, familiar habits, does he finally begin to admit to himself how special she is to him. When he is finally able to break through the walls she has erected to truly let him in, while helping her to relax and have some genuine fun, that is when he decides that she’s worth trying to keep this time.
Unfortunately, there are other players who do not want to see these two get together. Things get rather ugly for awhile there. The near end was extremely upsetting to me; just too much angst, drama, and pain for my taste. Zach and Reagan do finally achieve their happily-ever-after, but it takes them quite some time to get there.
I was disappointed at how little they discussed the things that drove them apart, both in the past and the present. I felt like after all the emotional expense of the novel, they needed all of that to be more resolved and settled so that they could truly put it behind them. And also that Reagan’s hurdle that she crosses to go to Zach should have at least been mentioned to him, so that he’d know how much effort she put into being with him.
The writing style was pretty straight-forward and easy, with a good flow of characters and activity. There were, however, just a couple of times when the dialogue and actions seemed a bit stilted and slightly off. The big fight between the major players was one time when this was particularly in evidence.
This was the first book I’ve read by this author; and, despite the aforementioned drawbacks, I think I would definitely be willing to try other works of hers in the future.
I had a great time and was highly entertaining with each turn of the page. The characters are strong and well developed and engaging. With a storyline that flowed smoothly from beginning to the end.

I love road trip romances and this one delivered. Humour, steam, adventure and a happily ever after.
Dylann Crush did a great job on All I Wanna So Is You. It was a great story, the plot and characters were strong. The story was written well. Reagan and Zach’s journey had it’s ups and downs but they were made for each other. Their connection was strong, and their chemistry was sexy. They were great together.
I enjoyed this story. Thanks, Dylann Crush. Great work 🙂
This was just okay for me. The writing flowed well, but I wasn’t really a fan of Zach and Reagan. Zach wasn’t quite as bad as Reagan, but I didn’t get the chemistry between them. Reagan came across whiny and high maintenance. It was annoying how much control she let her parents (especially her father) have over her life. She’s supposed to be mid 20’s not a teenager. The incidents along the way of the road trip just made it stand out how different they were. I knew what the drama was going to be, it was made clear right from the start. While it ended with them getting their HEA (and I love HEAs), I wasn’t feeling this one. I love this author though, and I can’t wait to read whatever she puts out next =)
