“Witty, sexy and heartfelt small-town romance that is entertaining as well as emotionally satisfying.” ~ Mary, USA Today HEA It took me years to get over my fiancé sleeping with another woman. I thought my luck with men had finally turned around until I walked in on my new fiancé with my maid-of-honor.I’m done with men entirely. I’m definitely old enough to know better than to let that happen to … old enough to know better than to let that happen to me again. Trust isn’t something I have in me to give… to anyone. At least, not anymore.
Besides, even if I wanted to give someone my everything, I have nothing left to give.
The moment I laid eyes on Ellie, I knew she’d be full of spit and vinegar. And why wouldn’t she be? She’d just caught her fiancé with her maid of honor – and they weren’t chatting about the upcoming nuptials.
I can’t help but push her buttons, she’s sexy as hell when she’s fired up. Or cooking dinner with Miss Polly, or… well, any time, really. Maybe having her work for me in my vet clinic wasn’t the smartest move I’ve ever made considering I can’t stop my body from aching for her.
She said she was done with men entirely, that she’s broken. Still, I can’t help but hope that she realizes she’s All I Need.

Jennifer Van Wyk delivers another amazing book. What makes this book amazing? We get all the feels in All I Need. Plus it’s another real life feels book. The development of their relationship from friends to lovers and all the ups and downs of a new relationship.
Hands down Jennifer is one of my go to writers and her writing is awesome. It’s wholesome real life believable stories. They suck you in and you feel like you’re actually friends with the characters. You feel every emotion they do right along with them. That’s what makes a book amazing! You will not regret reading any of her books…I promise!
And Hazel!!!
First of all, I have read all of Jennifer Van Wyk’s books and love them all yet this one is something special and my favorite one yet. I just LOVE this book and I especially love Walker. This book is everything! Small town romance, swoony amazing guy Walker, broken girl you just fall in love with, amazing support friends and family especially Ms Polly and so much more. Jennifer drew me in with the beautiful story telling. I loved that she didn’t just hurry up and rush Walker and Ellie together. Walker gave Ellie time and he was supportive, honest with her and they had a great chemistry that just slowly burned from the beginning almost. Also I love getting to read and hear about some of the other characters from past books. You don’t have to have read those books to enjoy that but I always love hearing a little backlog and seeing reference to past folks especially another past favorite couple Christine and Andy. This is a book I will read again and again and again…. Note: I received a free ARC of this book but it did not impact my review in any way and I have already ordered the book.
This was such a beautiful read. Ellie has major trust issues but you couldn’t blame her. The things that have happened to her has left her completely devastated and not wanting anything to do with the opposite sex. Until she meets Walker. He’s completely different than all the men she’s ever been with. And Ellie has opened up something in Walker that he never expected. He met her when she was completely heartbroken but he didn’t take advantage of it.
Ellie decided to give love a try again but of course she was reserved. She realized that Walker was completely different and she was happy again. Until a major twist and a blast from her past seemed like it was going to destroy her happiness. But Walker wasn’t having it and thankfully things were sorted out.
I enjoyed the women from Liberty; those women are hilarious. Ellie reaction meeting Andy was priceless, lol. I can’t wait to read more on this town and probably the kids,
Jennifer Van Wyk was already a one click author for me, but her books just keep getting better and better. Sign me up for a lifetime subscription to her books – take my money!
Walker is the ultimate book boyfriend. Veterinarian? Check. Super sweet family man? Check. Smooth talking dirty talker? Check. Genuine as hell? Yup, that too!
And our heroine, Ellie. She’s AMAZING! She’s had her heart broken, been dealt a pretty crappy hand in life, and still doesn’t quit. Ellie is poise and grace and forgiveness, and also not afraid to take a golf club to someone’s vehicle if they deserve it. Love her!
All I Need is an awesomely sweet and believable love story with a hilarious and caring band of secondary characters that you will come to love almost as much as Ellie and Walker.
I wish I could give this one more than five stars!
I absolutely loveed everything about it!!!! Walker is the perfect hero that we all want!!! Elle is a girl who was suffered so much heartbreak that’s why she cant trust easy on anyone!! But or lovely Walker will be the one who change her mind about everything!!
This story has so many romantic, funny and cute moments, that once i started reading it i couldnt stop.. I needed to know what was going to happened with our characters and I’m so glad that i could read it because their story is so perfect!!! Is a story about how their circumstance put them together so they can finally find love!!!
I LOVED that Jenn included characters from her other books, i love when authors do that because it makes me remember the storie about that characters and is so good to know more about them.
So if you are looking for a good romantic story with a sexy veterinarian and a strong heroine you need to read All I Need!!
Cant wait to read more Jenn’s books!!
All I Need by Jennifer Van Wyk
5 Stars ~ Very highly recommend!!
Wow!! All I Need is so heartfelt and sexy!! I love Jennifer’s words and her writing!! Love this beautiful story! Totally sucked me in from cover to the very end! LOVED LOVED LOVED!!
The story takes place in a small town, Liberty. Walker, a vet, a very sweet and sexy, his devoted to raising his nephew and dog. Ellie is so sweet and happy.
“Everything I said to her that night was the truth. She deserves to know that I’m willing to go slow for her. That really, she’s all I need.”
“Here in this tiny room I have all I need and I don’t plan on ever letting it go.”
I am seriously a huge fan of Jennifer Van Wyk. I love the stories and characters she gives us and just devour them. In All I Need we meet Ellie and Walker and start out with a huge bang! Ellie seems to have the very worse luck with men.
I loved Ellie, but her heart was so vulnerable and guarded. Because of this I think she kept choosing the wrong kind of man. She had not one, but two cheating ex-fiancés. How can she ever trust her heart again? Walker was such a sweet and caring guy. I loved him, he just never found anyone that wanted him wanting more, until he runs into Ellie. Then everything changes.
It was not easy for Ellie to let others in after being left again and again, but she had a huge heart. Honestly she had no chance against Walker, Grayson and Polly! Walker just stole my heart from the very start. He was so patient with Ellie, which she truly needed!
This story not only had amazing main characters in Ellie and Walker, but also some pretty amazing secondary characters like Grayson, Polly and Walker’s friends. I loved the support and friendship they both received throughout the story. The romance is on the insta-side, but it was sweet and charming and I loved it! All I Need is a sweet and charming second chance at love story.
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
All I Need is a small town romance with a sexy hero and a sassy heroine! Walker and Ellie’s story spark so many emotions yet funny and light at times. Their chemistry is instant and their banter refreshing! There’s a little drama and some angst throughout this book. The storyline is well written and so are Walker and Ellie. Ms. Polly was hilarious, but gentle and caring. I loved her character! Hope we meet Walker and Ellie in future books!!
I simply adored Ellie and Walker’s story!! I quite honestly kept putting my kindle down so I could make the book last longer! LOL Poor Ellie has been burned-twice. After a chance meeting with the swoony hero Walker…she’s now officially living in his town…This book is so much more than a simple romance. It’s learning to trust. To belong. Family. And a baby calf LOL If you’re reading this…one click this book. You will not regret it!
Walker is a hunka hunka burning love! Ellie is the gal you want to go drink margs with. But Miss Polly – well Miss Polly makes you want to move right into her house and also will make you choke on your drink because you never know what is coming out of her mouth! LOVE ME SOME MISS POLLY!!
And then Grayson. I love when an author can write a truly realistic teenage boy! Props for that.
I’ve read JVW’s other books, and didn’t even realize at first this was part of that series. Could definitely be a standalone, but the appearances by faves from past books just made it all the better.
The journey may be tough. The road may be bumpy. You may get lost along the way. But the trip is always worth it in the end when you find your home!
Oh my goodness. Walker!!!! Gah. Once again another swoonworthy guy with arms made for arm porn and looks that could melt you into a puddle. I loved this guy so much!! Oh and Grayson gives a good laugh. I wouldn’t mind getting that story eventually *cough* *cough* but anyways let’s get to the lady of the story! Ellie, man she was great but had been handed the shit end of life all around. Walker and her were completely so sweet but as sexy. Miss Polly…. lord lord this woman had me laughing alot. But she was so smart and so right. Guys, I’m telling you your gonna want to buy this book especially if you enjoy the couple being in the 30s and up. Love reading these everytime!
After putting his life on hold to concentrate on helping to raise his nephew, veterinarian, Walker McKinstry finds himself suddenly falling hard and fast for Ellie Cummings.
“She’s mine. Those two words flip over in my head a few times before they settle in my gut. She might not know it yet, but she is. How any man let her go truly boggles my mind. But every single part of her they tried to break, only made her that much stronger. And I plan to make her heart forget every single second she spent with them.”
Walker really has to rein himself in because Ellie is definitely not in a place to reciprocate those feelings. Moments before her wedding, Ellie found her fiancé cheating with her maid of honor.
I love how Walker was able to give Ellie the time to heal without creating distance. He kept her close and was there for her even when she didn’t know she needed it.
A swoony hero, fun banter and a surprising twist were only a few of the reasons I love this small town story populated with awesome characters.
-4.5 Stars!!-
I loved, loved, loved this story!!! Walker was just yummy, from the very moment he met Ellie, he knew what he wanted and didn’t hesitate to make that happen, with a little help from his friend and fill-in grandma Miss Polly (loved her, she’s a hoot). Ellie was damaged when Walker met her and I love that he took that into account when he pursued her, moved at her pace. But Ellie is feeling the draw towards Walker too, is it too soon to fall in love, when they met on her wedding day??? You will have to read to find out and you will fall in love with them both too!! Jennifer has a way of writing characters that you feel like you have known your whole life, I get immersed in her words and story telling. She is a one-click author for me for sure!!!
Ellie has been hurt several times before and has a hard time with love. When she happens to end up in this small town, and finds comfort from a spunky and charming elderly lady Miss Polly.
Walker the local Veterinarian, has been focusing on his clinic and helping raise his nephew Grayson, until one day he sees a feisty Ellie on the side of the road. When he stops to help her he has no idea how things are about to change. Walker had me swooning throughout the book!
I absolutely Loved this story, the characters and the storyline. Right from the very beginning it grabs your attention and does not let go. This book had me laughing, gasping and a bit shocked when the bomb dropped later in the book. The story was so heart felt, and although there was pain and healing that took place, there was a lot of love and just made my heart swell. It also had several sexy scenes as well, this book was probably a bit sexier than her other books, some of it I didn’t particularly care for, but that’s my personal preference and it did not take away from the story in anyway for me. Also I Loved how there were brief cameos from some of her characters from her other books. Overall I loved this book, and couldn’t get enough of it!!
All I Need is the newest standalone contemporary romance from Jennifer Van Wyk. While several of her characters make appearances in each successive book, they truly are standalone novels. Welcome back to Liberty!
Ellie has had the worst luck with the men in her life, starting with her father. He left when she was young, and her mother made her believe it was all her fault. Then there was the college boyfriend, fiance really, who cheated. And this story opens with the groom cheating on her with her maid of honor, literally minutes before they walk down the aisle. In a move that would make Julia Roberts proud, Ellie leaves her own wedding, in a dress she didn’t REALLY want…in the groom’s car.
Walker is the town veterinarian who has always put everyone else first. He’s handsome, trustworthy, and loyal to a fault. He’s devoted himself to being like a second dad to his nephew, Grayson after his parents left his twin sister twisting in the wind when she announced she was pregnant…and not married.
Can Walker convince Ellie to trust again? Can she accept that his time will always be divided between a relationship and his relationship with his nephew? And when a blast from her past shows up, will she stay…or walk away again?
I have really loved all the men in all of this author’s books so far, but I think Walker is by far my favorite. He’s just…constant. He’s handsome, but not a player. Tatted up, but not a rebel. And responsible, almost to a fault. He and Ellie come from completely different backgrounds, but he doesn’t give up on teaching her that there truly are people out there that she can trust, and that deserve her trust. Their love is more of a slow burn because he handles her like a wounded animal. But he also studies her, and listens to what she says, so he’s able to surprise her with all the things she’s never known she wanted or needed.
NICUnurse’s rating: This truly is a sweet read (but not to worry…plenty of sexy times!). The only let down was that I knew what the conflict was going to be long before it reared its ugly head. But I still devoured it as quickly as I could. So, I give this book 4 solid stars. If you’re a fan of contemporary romance, I don’t think you are going to be disappointed in this book. The author’s writing is solid, and she definitely keeps you wanting to know more. And the fact that this town is full of swoon-worthy men everywhere you look has me wanting to find my own town like Liberty! I’m definitely looking forward to much more from Jennifer Van Wyk in the future!
Such a sweet meet cute especially after the dramatic start to All I Need. Walker McKinstry is a sweet cuddly bear. His hesitation and ease into getting to know Ellie is perfect. He’s kind, caring, loyal and committed to his sister, nephew and vet clinic.
Ellie Cummings has every right to be wary. She’s been burned before, but I love her resilience. She is kind and caring and beautiful inside and out.
The instant attraction but slow build to the relationship is perfect. Getting to know one another highlights the anticipation of the sexy times to come.
The secondary characters, especially Miss Polly, are just right and add to that small town feel and closeness. Love the little Easter eggs and revisiting past characters. All in all, a charming, feel-good story to sit back and enjoy.
Ms. Van Wyk has done it again! She sucked me in from the very first sentence and still won’t let me go even after I’ve finished reading this amazing book! Walker and Ellie were so sweet and spicy but I have to admit that it was really Miss Polly that stole the show. We all need a Miss Polly in our lives! On a more serious note though, I do adore Walker and Ellie’s story. Their love seemed so natural, and you could feel their connection almost right away. I loved seeing some of past characters that I fell for and as always I’m already counting down until I can spend more time in the fictional town of Liberty.
ALL I NEED by Jennifer Van Wyk is the story of Walker and Ellie.
Ellie has been burned before but thought she was headed to her happy ending when she caught her fiancé with her maid of honor…so she took off. Walker came forward to help Ellie and a slow friendship attraction builds up between the two. Ellie not wanting to take a chance on a man again but Walker is making that hard to vow to stick too. Walker to has a lot going on too but their attraction starts to take off.
Really enjoyed this book… and the secondary characters were great also!
Walker and Ellie’s story was phenomenal. There is nothing that I love more then a small town romance, with a swoon worthy gentleman, adorable pets and lovable characters that I won’t be able to forget. Ellie has had some tough luck when it comes to men and she is ready to start fresh in a new town. What she wasn’t expecting was Walker, the swoon worthy local vet in town, who knows how to treat a lady right. From the moment they met, you could feel the sparks flying off the page. However, Walker had his work cut out for him to prove to Ellie that he was indeed a good guy. This book is full of laugh out loud moments, heartfelt moments and epic swoon worthy moments. I honestly couldn’t get enough of this book. I read it from start to finish in one sitting!! It was that amazing!!! If your looking for a small town romance with characters you won’t soon forget, check out All I Need!!! I promise this book will captivate you and leave you with the best book hangover you have ever had!!!!
I’ve been trying to read more new-to-me authors, and a friend recommended All I Need by Jennifer Van Wyk. I dived right in and quickly found myself glued to this witty, sexy and heartfelt small-town romance that is entertaining as well as emotionally satisfying. Walker and Ellie meet as she’s fleeing her wedding after discovering her fiancé cheating on her, and he’s immediately drawn to her feistiness and quiet vulnerability. He arranges a place for her to stay and helps her to get back on her feet, and he secretly hopes she will be tempted to stay. His care, patience and freely given support are swoon-worthy, and she learns to trust again and begins to hope she may have finally found a real home and a family. Their slow-burn relationship is tender and romantic, and the cast of delightful secondary characters makes All I Need truly engaging and had me immediately downloading Van Wyk’s interconnected books in order to experience more of her captivating writing.
