“Witty, sexy and heartfelt small-town romance that is entertaining as well as emotionally satisfying.” ~ Mary, USA Today HEA It took me years to get over my fiancé sleeping with another woman. I thought my luck with men had finally turned around until I walked in on my new fiancé with my maid-of-honor.I’m done with men entirely. I’m definitely old enough to know better than to let that happen to … old enough to know better than to let that happen to me again. Trust isn’t something I have in me to give… to anyone. At least, not anymore.
Besides, even if I wanted to give someone my everything, I have nothing left to give.
The moment I laid eyes on Ellie, I knew she’d be full of spit and vinegar. And why wouldn’t she be? She’d just caught her fiancé with her maid of honor – and they weren’t chatting about the upcoming nuptials.
I can’t help but push her buttons, she’s sexy as hell when she’s fired up. Or cooking dinner with Miss Polly, or… well, any time, really. Maybe having her work for me in my vet clinic wasn’t the smartest move I’ve ever made considering I can’t stop my body from aching for her.
She said she was done with men entirely, that she’s broken. Still, I can’t help but hope that she realizes she’s All I Need.
more
Ellie has never known unconditional love, growing up with her unsavory parents, she never felt love from them, and was often an after thought to them. So, from an early age she learned that love wasn’t easy, it was something that you had to be wary of, and not give it so freely, because it’s not always returned. Unfortunately, as she got older that fact seemed to ring true when it came to her relationships with men. She gave her heart to two different men who didn’t have her best interests at heart, and was forced to walk away from two weddings due to them cheating. After having her heart broke twice now she has all but given up on finding true love, believing that maybe it just wasn’t meant for her.
But then she unexpectedly meets a man alongside the road, that not only changes her outlook on love, but also introduces her to people who help her to finally see that unconditional love is possible, and that she is deserving of it. While she is wary of it at first, she can’t help but finally feel like maybe she is right where she belongs… that she can really trust it this time.
All I Need is one of those stories that reminds you that sometimes love is hiding in the most unexpected places, and that it finds you when it thinks you are ready for it… even if you have turned your back on it. I couldn’t help but feel for Ellie, her past taught her all the downsides of love, and for that reason she had become wary of trusting everyone around her. Then Ms. Polly opened her door to her, and she not only taught Ellie what it meant to have unconditional love, but also that for the first time in her life she could trust people at face value. This delightful story was filled with so many lessons and gentle reminders, the most important one being that the power of love is steadfast and undeniable! I loved every single thing about this one, the characters were downright amazing, once I met them I didn’t want to I had a go of them. The writing was seamlessly crafted, so easy to just fall into and enjoy! Highly recommend this one, the moment you crack the cover you will be hooked!!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am leaving my honest opinion.
Tall, strong, gentle and dedicated to saving the lives of animals. Veterinarian Walker McKinstry was living just another normal day in his life, until he found a furious blonde with a golf club in her hand about to destroy a car. What he did not expect was to discover that this stranger was all he needed in his life.
Ellie had a complicated childhood and spent much of her life trying to fit in, to meet the expectations of others in exchange for the love her family denied. But this choice, conscious or not, costs her a lot: she was betrayed. Twice. By two different fiances. Always on the altar, but never married. Now trusting is not something she will do easily.
The chemistry between the couple is good, it is not forced and the speed at which the relationship deepens is plausible, giving a good rhythm to the narrative. Walker’s respect for Ellie’s behavior is to make you sigh. Her understanding of Walker and Grayson’s relationship to be applauded.
Family is the watchword in this book. The development of family relationships and their consequences in the adult life of the characters are the great force that moves the narrative. Miss Polly, besides fun, shows us that family is more than just a blood tie.
The turnaround will not surprise the more attentive readers who will see the clues in the development of reading. Yet it is well built and revealing. Unexpected secrets come to the light, and despite the dramatic scenario the scene is thrilling, well-developed and without exaggeration.
A book to laugh, sigh, warm your heart and have fun. A romance to fuel hope and make us believe that endings may not be perfect, because problems do not solve themselves in a magic pass, but they can be no doubt extremely real, plausible and happy.
Holy Fucking Shit what a bang this book starts with. Jennifer has hit the ball out the park once again. This woman is such an amazing writer.
This book grabs your attention from the first page. It’s addictive because it’s wholesome, heartwarming, heart breaking, it has soul and plenty of LMFAO moments.
Ellie is a girl that life has dealt her nothing but a shit hand. Yet this beautiful, vivacious, kind hearted woman never turns bitter towards the world. She endures and learns and moves on.
Her ability to do that lead her to her Fairytale come true.
Walker is EVERYTHING. This man is what sugar and spice and alllllll things nice represent.
He is fantabulous uncle to his nephew, he is amazing to sister and elders. He puts others first always. That’s until Ellie comes into his life. The comes with such force it was hard not to notice her and the rest was history.
Watching Polly and Walker give Ellie unconditional love, they gave her a home and family, it was magical.
Walker is one Hot freaking Bastard. He is the whole package deal.
Through think and thin these two are made for each other….
In the beginning this line brought me to tears with how hard I laughed….
“The boob looking like a lotus flower pot line is fucking hilarious”…
This book has phenomenal dialogue and even better funny scenes. I promise you will be school girl… either a giggly one or a swooning hot cheeks girl.
Enjoy this Book ladies ..
All I Need is everything I’ve come to expect from Jennifer VanWyk and more. With consistently lovable characters and a storyline that makes me smile (and at times laugh out loud) All I Need was a book I didn’t want to put down and I was disappointed to have it end. Walker and Ellie’s first meeting may have been a bit unconventional but it started the story off perfectly and it just kept getting better. I sincerely hope future books contain more of the adventures of Miss Polly. She gave me more than one of those LOL moments and a goal to be just like her when I grow up. All I Need really is all you need from the rotten ex to the adorable nephew. Throw in a twin sister, some great friends, and a town we all want to live in and you just can’t go wrong. Now I need to sit and wait, wondering if there will be more on the horizon for Willow, Grayson, Allison, and Miss Polly. One can only hope. 😉
Aaah Walker! He is oh so sexy and romantic too!!
This book! It is everything!! I was hooked from the first sentence and I could not put it down! Walker, Ellie, Miss Polly and Grayson- I loved them all!!
All I Need is absolutely amazing, superbly written. I think this is Jennifer’s best book yet! 5 stars for sure!
Let me start by saying I’ve been a fan of Jennifer Van Wyk from her book and this is a favorite!
When Ellie finds her groom to be with her maid of honor minutes before they are to be married she’s heartbroken as this is the second time it has happened to her.
Walker a Veterinarian who’s put his life on hold to help raise his nephew
When they meet Walker see a person who needs a safe place to recover and rediscover herself. Ellie to mad at herself for not seeing the things that lead her here almost talks herself out of the things she’s been looking for all her life.
A sweet story with just a little twist you’ll want to keep turning those pages!
Jennifer, Jennifer, Jennifer, what can I say? Except-you did it again!!! I just loved Ellie and Walker. I knew from the first line in the book that this was going to be a great book! I laughed out loud so many times and had a perma smile on my face. This book just made me happy! Also made me a little hot! Whew! And adding another sexy, Liberty man doesn’t hurt either. I really would love to read Willows story and heck even one for Grayson too! I just love your books! For a fun and sexy read, this is the book for you!!!
This book is everything! Small town romance, swoony Guy, broken girl you just fall in love with, supportive friends and family, funny sweet old lady, farm animals…. and the list goes on!
Jennifer Van Wyk’s continues to draw me in with her beautiful story telling. Walker and Ellie are absolutely amazing. The chemistry, the honesty, the support, the slow burn.
Walker discovers Ellie on the side of the road ready to destroy her ex- finances car, he knows something is wrong and their connection starts from there. He takes her to Miss Polly’s in the town of Liberty.
I love how Van Wyk connects all her characters and books. You don’t need to read her other books to love All I Need – but you really should because they are fantastic! This book is one of my all time favorites because of the kindness, loving, honest people even when life doesn’t go your way and unexpected things happen. Thank you for making my heart whole Jennifer Van Wyk!
I loved this book like all of Jennifer’s books. I loved the chemistry between Ellie and Walker. I also loved Miss Polly and Grayson. This is a sweet but sexy story!
This is my first book by Jennifer Van Wyk, I can honestly say, it will NOT be my last. For me personally, this book took on a whole new caliper. I absolutely adored it. Everything about it. This author knows how to write about swoony heroes and strong sassy heroines that have been put through the ringer, and fight their way out of it. I am a sucker for pets as well, add in a hunk of man and add in some of the funniest one liners and it’s a wrap for me. All I need is also told in DUAL POV, so we get to get inside Walker and Ellie’s head as well.
Walker is this amazing guy, with this ginormous heart that has more love to give than you could ever fathom. His gentleness with pets, and his giving heart knows no bounds. Family is his everything.
Ellie has been burned in the relationship department more than once, but catching her fiance on their wedding day with a her maid of honor, really takes the cake. Trust has always been an issue with Ellie, because not only did she grow up feeling detached, every person that has been in her life has done her dirty, and for that, she is over people in general and is not willing to put herself out there for people to trample over her heart anymore. But let’s not get it twisted, she gives hell right back.
Throw in the fairy godmother also known as Miss Polly and a 15 year old boy, and things really get going. There was some things that I really didn’t see coming, that shocked the crap out of me. So the surprise value of it left me with my mouth gaping open. Overall I sincerely enjoyed this story. I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next.
*I definitely recommend All I Need by Jennifer Van Wyk.

Jennifer Van Wyk gets better and better! She is the queen of small town romance and ALL the feels!
Walker is the hot book boyfriend I love to read about, and was truly what Ellie deserved after all she’d been through. Excellent writing and all the swoons and heat you could ask for! 5 stars!

I loved Ellie and Walker and Grayson and the doggies and the cows! This was another wonderful book by Ms. Van Wyck. Having a 21 and 19 year old I appreciate how the author integrates teenaged characters into her books in a real, believable way. Grayson was no exception. His relationship with his uncle and their banter about Ellie is perfect. It was a pleasure watching Ellies character grow and learn to trust and love with the help Miss Polly and of course Walker and the rest of Liberty. And the plot twist had me quite literally gasping and then smacking myself. Well played.
10+++ WONDERFUL FANTASTIC STARS!!!
Walker & Ellie’s story is full of sweet, swoony moments as well as lots of fun banter. It also gives us some steamy times & a couple Ohhh!!! moments, especially for fans of the other books set in this not-as-small-as-you-think small town. I love how their relationship builds, and how Walker’s nephew is involved in the story.
Every single book I’ve read by this author has a swoony hero & a heroine I LIKE, and they’re all re-reads & favorites. This one falls right in line – which makes it a definite recommendation from me!!
: )
A great love story between Ellie and Walker.
After Ellie’s heart was broken not once, but twice, Walker comes along and sews her heart back together. Even after she swears off men and tries to stay away from him.
The story was written well and good character development.
All I Need by Jennifer Van Wyk is a heart-wrenchingly fabulous stand-alone contemporary romance about a woman spurned and the man that is gentle enough to earn her trust and man enough to keep her. Ellie and Walker are a fabulous couple. Their romance is a slow-build. He needs to earn her trust and she needs to let down the walls she has built to protect herself and her heart.
Ellie is a tough cookie – funny and sassy – she is also broken. She settled for a man who was a total jerk and wasn’t overly surprised when she walked in on him cheating on her… with her maid of honor… on their wedding day. So off she goes – heading for their honeymoon alone until she stops on the side of the road, hell bent on purging her ex from her life, from his car, and maybe a little destruction of said car with a golf club… Maybe. When a hot guy and his nephew stop her from said destruction she ends up agreeing to follow them back to town and gets enveloped into the community of Liberty and all it’s glory.
Walker has lived his life for his sister and his nephew. It’s not a regret he has – he has just never felt the desire to settle down and whenever he came close, the women always had a problem with just how involved he was in his nephews life. So when the sparks fly with the crazed hot chick he helps on the side of the road leaving town he is surprised and enthralled and completely smitten. Taking her to stay with Miss Polly also has ulterior motives as he knows how tenacious she can be and she is bound-and-determined to “keep” Ellie.
When two people can find so much love and so much in common and actually manage to communicate with out a thousand issues it makes for a fabulous love story. The emotions they felt for each other were never in doubt. The trials they faced they managed to face together. While the book wasn’t completely without angst it was light on it – making it a pleasantly romantic and sexy read. Previous readers of Jennifer’s books will also recognize some secondary characters from previous books. Loved this. Enjoy!
All I Need is the first book I’ve read by Jennifer Van Wyk and I really enjoyed this small town romance. Every time I read a book set in a small town like Liberty it makes me want to move to one, and it was no different with All I Need. Especially if there’s a Walker McKinstry biding his time, just waiting for me to show up! And not just because of Walker, though, it was the whole town of Liberty- they showed no hesitation in welcoming Ellie as one of their own.
The saying goes, Once Burned, Twice Shy, but in poor Ellie’s case it was more like “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.” She’s not had the best of luck when it comes to men, until she finds herself on the outskirts of the little town of Liberty, about to be saved from doing something she’ll regret later, by one Walker McKinstry. A relationship is the farthest thing from her mind when she takes him up on his offer to help. But the best laid plans and all that…
Walker is the epitome of the perfect bbf! He’s sweet, incredibly kind, and unbelievably caring. He was so patient with Ellie, willing to be there as her friend until she was ready and willing to admit to the feelings that had been growing between them. Theirs was a lovely slow burn of a romance that had me rooting for them from the start.
Loved this book!
I love stories that grab your attention from the beginning and this one rips your heart out from the start. Jennifer did that with the very first chapter, the very first sentence!!! I loved these characters so hard. Ellie has been through so much and needed someone to love her and Walker did just that. Walker is my new book boyfriend!! He’s intelligent and kind. So kind. He helps raise his nephew as if he’s his own. I loved Grayson! I didn’t want this book to end and have read it a few times already. There’s a surprise near the end and I do hope we get to see Willow’s story.
This has to be my favorite of Jennifer Van Wyk’s books so far! I love how she writes relatable stories about real people, not just hot billionaires with perfect bombshells in their early 20’s. Ellie and Walker were so sweet, funny and just enough damaged to be perfect for each other. I also loved how we got to catch up with our other favorite Van Wyk characters in this book. I’m hopeful that this isn’t the last that we see of Walker and Ellie.
