It’s a captivating story. You are invested in what is going on with them. Thoroughly enjoyed.
I didn’t like Grace’s father any better in this book than I did in the first one. I didn’t like the sheriff. I felt like there was some racial profiling going on with him. I really disliked the way Grace’s father treated her. I hated the humiliation Jaime had to suffer through.
I was surprised Adam didn’t fight harder for his “friend”, especially considering it was obvious who the culprit was. I was surprised no one other than Grace considered anyone else.
I think I am a little tired of books where one party doesn’t feel like they are good enough for the other, or one person is so awesome the other person thinks how could they possibly want me.
I can also understand Adam’s frustration with Jaime changing sous chef’s. But, one-couldn’t Jaime have detailed Eric’s exact behave that SAS so unacceptable, and two – aren’t you supposed to trust your head chef (and supposed best friend) to make the best decision for your restaurant and his kitchen?
I listened to the audiobook and thought the narration was good. The story had me wanting to pull out my hair with all of the back and forth. I didn’t get and sense of overwhelming chemistry between Jaime and Grace, but I’m glad the got their HEA.
I love Grace and Jamie’s story. Grace’s pure love, loyalty and respect of Jamie is so perfect. Of course, Jamie has some legal issues and doesn’t want Grace burdened with them. He thinks he is doing what is best for Grace but, she doesn’t stop loving him and proves it. A truly romantic happily ever after.
Jamie Martinez is an executive chef at a well-renowned restaurant a vineyard restaurant owned by his friend. Grace is his best friend little sister who’s loved, Jamie ever since she can remember. One day she drums up enough courage to tell him she’s in love with him. They kiss and Jamie tells her the kiss is a mistake and Jamie is devastated. What Grace doesn’t know is Jamie does feel the same except he doesn’t want to take over her life b/c she is young. Meanwhile, his boss approaches Jamie about money missing; excusing Jamie of embezzling. Jamie tells his boss he’s innocent. Jamie and Grace has to find evidence of his innocence and find out who is framing him. Meanwhile, Grace is having a hard time with her abusive father and her big brother who want to control her life. Can Jamie and Grace find they’re way to each other with so much pulling them apart? You will have to read the book to find out. I really liked this book. I was pleasantly surprised to find it not just a sweet ”small town” meet-cute romance. This book was serious! Lol. Ok. Not that serious but still serious. It dealt with serious issues like prejudice and racial bias. The author doesn’t outright say it’s because of racial bias that Jamie is being framed but you know it is. Lol. I’ve read two other books by this author as well. ”If I can’t have you.” and ”The very thought of you.” however, this is my favorite. So, I’m going back to read the rest of her books, now. Lol. I hope she keeps writing. I received a complimentary copy from hidden Gems in exchange for an honest review.
Sweetly sexy, emotionally thrilling, action packed romantic journey. Grace Danvers and Jaime Martínez have known each other for five years and have avoided facing growing feelings between them for many reasons, but do all those reasons really matter in the long run? I found the detail in their story very interesting and entertaining. The action and adventure they embark on is exciting and well written.
Iris Moreland has written a story that has humor, suspense, romance, and many other emotions.
The plot has many twists and turns that make it so interesting.
The characters are so well written and real that they could be my friends.
I couldn’t put it down until I finished it.
A 5-star read.
Iris Morland has written an emotionally charged book. It was a bit hard to read with the climate of division regarding discrimination in the world today. My heart physically ached throughout. I honestly disliked Adam, Joy, and Grace’s parents and wondered if I’d be able to forgive their actions and inaction. Great job on this book.

I’ve waited for Jaime and Grace’s story and was not disappointed.
Jaime is the chef at the vineyard and friends with Adam, the vineyards owner. Grace is Adams younger sister and has had a crush on Jaime since he walked her home five years ago.
Jaime is attracted to Grace bout he doesn’t he is good enough for her and it is his friends sister. So he rejects her, several times
And for some that rejection would have been enough to stop pursuing him but not Grace. As naive as she may be, she is also tenacious.
Everything and everyone, except Joy, are against them but Grace knows what she wants.
Look forward to Kat and Gavin’s book.

The second book in the Heron’s Landing series a well written story with a great storyline, the story flows smoothly across the pages. Chef, Jaime Martinez and Grace Danvers their story will have its ups and downs, accused of something he did not do,there is suspense, drama, danger, a woman willing to fight for her man, a villain, and romance. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I enjoyed this book but not as much as others from this Author. Jaime a chef and very career minded, had no time nor interest outside of the kitchen, unless when it comes to Grace, his best mates sister.
I felt for these two as they were fighting an up hill battle, and a great deal of that was between the two and with themselves. At times, I felt it was a little punishing and arduous.
This book certainly had the drama and tension a good romance should have and the attraction was very well defined. All in all a great story,

She may be this sweet and innocent woman but she is determined to find love and believes that Jaimie is her other half. However, Fate is determined to bring these two together but friends, family and the law are determined to keep them apart. Another great book in the Heron’s Landing series. I was excited to read Grace and Jaime’s story and I wasn’t let down. Grace has been in love with Jaime for years but can’t get up the courage to let him know and Jamie acts as if she is just his best friend’s annoying sister. That all changes finally and it was great. Of course there had to be some suspense and it was great as well. I highly recommend this book and this series.
I enjoyed this book. It was a good continuation of the story for the Danvers family. I liked seeing a lot of Joy and Adam and I liked Grace a lot.
Jaime Martinez was best friends with Adam Danvers and worked as Adam’s Executive Chef at the Vineyard River Bend. Jaime’s parents came to the U.S. From El Salvador when the country was having a civil war. Grace Danvers met Jaime five years ago and had a crush on him. River Bend had started offering weddings. At one wedding, Grace asked Jamie to kiss her and what a kiss it was! He told her it was a mistake and it couldn’t happen again. Jaime knew that he couldn’t be with his boss and best friend’s sister even though he was attracted to her. You need to read the book to see what happens.
There is also some prejudice against Jaimie going on in the story. There is embezzlement going on with someone framing Jaime. Jamie was a good guy and hard worker. He wouldn’t do anything illegal, especially to his friend. Grace was floundering with what she wanted to do with her life. This causes friction with her father. Big brother Adam tries to run her life some too. There is a lot going on that keeps the story exciting. It was a good book. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
A very good read full of all of the emotions. This is Grace and Jamie’s story. This is a standalone, but I recommend reading them in order. This story follows Grace. Once she confesses her feelings to Jamie she’s embarrassed and tries to avoid him. She’s been treated badly by her father. He’s chipped away at her self esteem. He’s unhappy she graduated with a degree in art rather than something practical and the fact that she works at the diner. At Thanksgiving his behaviour was deplorable. Jamie is Grace’s rock. He’s always there to console her. He’s always know she’s had a crush on him, but she’s his boss/best friend’s little sister. He couldn’t go there, no matter how much he might want to. Jamie’s has some trouble in his life at the moment, someone is trying to frame him of embezzling from Rivers End. I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book from HiddenGems
I was really looking forward to this story, but I felt a bit … let down. The accusations against Jaime, his reasons for being reluctant/unwilling to be involved with Grace in the first place, and Adam’s volte-face – none of these seemed plausible, and that detracted from my enjoyment. Jaime himself was frequently irritating, rather than appealing, and the sheriff’s behavior (and Grace’s father’s behavior) apparently going unpunished really grated on me. So why the four stars? Well, the characters are really well written (I couldn’t have been as annoyed if they weren’t), and the sync with Adam and Joy’s story (and the cheeky reference to a story) really pulled me back into Heron’s Landing – and I love being there.

This is such a good book!
It’s a heartfelt, intriguing & very moving romance. The story will pull in from the
first word to the last.
Grace, has been in love with Jaime.
He is the executive chef, at her family’s
vineyard. But at every turn he rejects
her. As Grace’s heart breaks, she knows
nothing will ever change.
Jaime & Grace, along with the other wonderful characters in it, & the small town charm make it the perfect read.
I loved everything about it!!
Grace is been in love with Jaime since she met him five years ago. But he is his brother’s employee and he is seven years older than her. But can she show him her love and how he is worth it?
