An art heist on Halloween goes wrong. When thieves break into Marvelous Marley World Headquarters on All Hallows’ Eve, they steal Max Marley’s valuable animation cels and shoot a Gallery guard. It’s the end of date night for Georgie Shaw and Detective Jack Wheeler when they’re both summoned to the scene. Gunshots fired in the tunnels beneath Marvelous Marley World signal more trouble as … trouble as trigger-happy thieves head for the theme park. With the Halloween Hullabaloo-Boo in full swing, the pressure’s on to catch the culprits before they can get away with their cache of stolen treats or unleash dirty tricks on unsuspecting park guests.
A message from the grave has everyone stumped. That’s not all. Figuring out whodunit could take a little extra work. The park is packed, and everyone’s in costume, including the bad guys. Will Jack and Georgie nab the faux-furred fiends before they can wreak more havoc or escape?

Another great Georgie Shaw tale. Art thieves at a theme park! Jack and Georgie have another riddle to unravel for Mad Max during a Halloween party. This is another funny mystery.
I can’t imagine what it would feel like to have your daughter hate you so much that she would plan to destroy your world, your lifelong work, and leave you with nothing. Mad Max may be a tyrant but most people knew how to handle him and there was no reason to destroy a parent who had reached out many times with money, time, and support for his daughter. But she had plans to do just that. This latest crime had her replacing the priceless artwork of her fathers with fakes. Georgie and Jack worked together to take care of the thieves and to strengthen their relationship. Miss Burke has shown once again that she can write an entertaining and exciting story.
Although this is the first book that I’ve read in this series, it’s the 3rd book in the Georgie Shaw series. Although you can read and enjoy the book, I’d advise that you read the first two books because it contains spoilers.
That said, I really enjoyed reading this book. It primarily takes place at an amusement park, much like Disneyland or Disney World. Some crooks make off with some artwork that may be worth as much as a million dollars. They know the park’s underground tunnel system and to make matters worse, they are dressed in costumes on the night where almost all the visitors are also wearing costumes, All Hallow’s Eve.
The story has twists and turns, but it’s not really scary or too much for readers of all ages. I recommend this book.
Book three in the Georgie Shaw mysteries and I enjoyed it a lot. This book once again takes place at Marvelous Marley World’s which I love. On to book 4 which is also set in Marvelous Marley World’s so should be good.
theft, greed, cozy-mystery, cats, Halloween, twisty, suspense *****
Everyone is in costume for the event at the amusement park, including the misguided thieves. Former public relations head, Georgie and her guy detective Jack are on the scene in minutes and hope they have an advantage because Georgie is involved with the extravaganza. As soon as the sleuthing begins, so do the plot twists and suspense! Thanks be that the book is moderately sized or I would never have gotten to sleep!
Georgie and Jack are such fun. Who would have guessed that working at a cat theme park would entail so much mystery and murder. Miles the cat steals the scene whenever he appears. A great Halloween story that will leave you laughing. Great characters and scene building made me feel like I was in the theme park. A really good and fun story, highly recommend to all mystery lovers.
I don’t know how she does it,but when I read these books and I think I have it figured out, Bam ! Anna throws in a monkey wrench and the killer is not who I thought ! In this book there is more intense situations for not only Georgie and Jack, but for the security and staff of Marley world. I really enjoyed the story line. The ending was awesome, but I won’t tell you why,…you will just have to read this book yourself to find out..but you won’t regret it.
Have read all your books, have recommended them to my fellow book worms.
Chaos returns to Marley World & Catmmando Mountain. Of course, Georgie & Jack are right in the middle of it. With Arcadia Park filled with costumed partygoers, figuring out who the thieves are is a fun-filled ride full of twists, turns, & surprises.
Once again, Anna Celeste Burke has written a wonderful cozy mystery that will keep you entertained from beginning to end. I love Georgie and Jack and can’t wait to see what they do next in A Merry Christmas Wedding Mystery.
I am so glad that I had a whole day from “real life” commitments to enjoy this series. Georgie and Jack make a delightful couple. The plot is fast paced as both Georgie and Jack are called to the scene of a burglary and shooting at Marvelous Marley World headquarters. The thieves escape from the offices into the tunnels that run under the theme park and the chase is on. Complicating matters for the police is that it’s Halloween Hullabaloo – Boo in the park. I was totally swept up and didn’t put the book down until the end. This was a twisty tale that included more shenanigans by Max’s daughter, which is sad since she was killed in the first book in the series. Not a good legacy to leave behind but a perfect story line.
All Hallows’ Eve Heist is the third novella in Anna Celeste Burke’s Georgie Shaw Cozy Mystery Series and is a great read. As with the other books in this series, it is well written, the characters are relatable, and it moves at a steady pace, and kept my attention from beginning to end. The writing style flows smoothly and the book is a quick, easy, clean read. I was kept guessing until the surprising final reveal. I would recommend this book, as well as all the books in the series, to anyone who enjoys reading well-crafted cozy mysteries.
Georgina “Georgie” Shaw and Homicide Detective Jack Wheeler are enjoying date night and the gourmet meal Georgie prepared for them when they are alerted about a theft and murder at Marvelous Marley World’s headquarters. Even though Georgie is the Food and Beverage Management Director and no longer the Assistant Director in the PR Division, owner, Maximillian “Max” Marley, asks for her help. She and Jack rush to the scene and learn that a guard was murdered during the burglary, that the intruders got away but are still on the property, and one of them has been shot. As if that isn’t enough, they receive word about another shot being fired and a traumatized female employee needing help. Since Georgie knows the underground tunneling system and the ins and outs of entrances, etc., Max demands she go with Jack and the security guards. Jack isn’t happy and concerned for Georgie’s safety, but her help proves invaluable.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Miles has a friend, I repeat Miles has a friend!! This is the third book in the Georgie Shaw series, and I recommend you read the books in order, plot points from previous stories are mentioned in this story. While sitting down to dinner one night, an emergency call goes out to both Georgie, and her detective boyfriend Jack. There’s an active shooter situation at Marvelous Marley’s World Headquarters and they race right over. After finding out what’s going on, Georgie, Jack, and others set out to calm the situation, and find the killers.
They follow the killers from end of the park to the other, but they’re a major problem. It’s All Hallows’ Eve and the park if full of patrons. Add to that the fact that the park characters aren’t the only one in costume. However, can Georgie, Jack, the park security team, and SWAT members stop the killers before they can escape?
This book is a little different from the previous two, this story feels rushed. There’s a sense of urgency in this one, and I’m not talking about the plot. I’m still enjoying these characters, but I’m just not as pleased with this book. Especially when the story ends, and you look at your e-reader and it’s stopped at 74%. The other 26% is filler. The rushed feeling, and the fact that there’s over ¼ th of the document that’s not the story are the reason for the four stars instead of five.
